I'm watching it. It's the mid-summer classic. - Yeah. - We have the reigning All-Star game MVP in town. Diaz is it? - What is Z? - Yeah, I'm gonna watch it. We got Paul Skeen starting the game. - Yeah. - It's my favorite right now. - You think that was appropriate? - Totally. - Yeah. - Totally give the fans what they want. - We'll look back in like five or eight or 10 years and it will be no big deal, but there is a certain tradition to, you know, putting a guy out there and starting who has some All-Star starts under his belt a little bit, not just some young being on. But this guy is different. And he has been really, probably the best. And, shoot, I like that. Lavalu, Tori Lavalu, Tori Lavalu. - Yeah. - He's an ex-manager. - Yeah. You think it's his decision given the start? Or who's decision is that? You think there's a higher power within baseball that says Skeen starts? Ah, Skeen, Skeen, Skeen, Skeen starts. - I feel like it's a collective decision. They all kind of get together and be like, all right, Skeen, this guy gives us the best shot to draw the highest audience and get all the fans involved. So it's Skeen's, maybe he has the final call, but it seems like it's a group of whether players and managers are. - Yeah, okay. - What about Team USA basketball? They held on to beat Australia yesterday that was going on, Australia made a run in that game. Cut it, they're down to like five? Way late, it was kind of out of hand, but single digits late in that game. - Ridiculous. - Was the Team USA exposed a little bit, Alo? - Yes, of course they were. They're not the same Team USA we grew up with, man. They are, they're regulars. They have to compete with it. The rest of the world now. And the rest of the world caught up to us and they looking good, so. - Yeah. - And I'm not too happy with our team. I feel like we could have got a better team together, so. - Yeah. - How do you feel about your boy, why not playing? - His, when he won that second championship and was another finals MVP for another franchise, I was like, why is one of the most underrated superstars ever, maybe, but. (laughing) But he can't really stay healthy and it's the lasting memory that we have of guys a little bit. The only one really has thought about quieting two or three or four years, to be honest with you, because he's been hurt for more than half of the time. And we'll look back and, you know, could probably call him a top 15 or 20 player in NBA history. But that's, you know, shoot, it's disappointing. To be honest, I wouldn't, if I'm Team USA, I wouldn't have him. I wouldn't pro, Durant's like the greatest U.S.A Olympian basketball player they say of all time, okay? They say Kevin Durant is. I don't want this based off of what, but so many experienced so much, you know, he's just that guy, okay? Anyways, besides that guy and that reputation, I wouldn't have half of these older players. I would have it flush with young American talent. - Exactly. Anthony Davis was the leading scorer in that game and we both have the same opinion on that guy. - Yeah, he's a bum. - Yeah, trash. - Okay, so yeah, I do eat on three, all of us. Does Team USA win a gold medal in France on three? One, two, three, no. I said no, I think there's too many good teams. - Yeah, the world caught up. - And what I think is, it's the way these other teams are built. These other teams are built with two or three or four stars, two or three or four role players, and then some guys who, you know, if they have a chance to play, have a job, like straight up have a job. And I think when the going gets tough and tough gets going, you know, the NBA guys are forced to kind of go, "I so okay, it's my turn. Let me get this for us," rather than Greece passing the ball all around, you know, the arc inside, back outside for an easy three or jumper finish at the rim. I just think that's what it is. And it goes to what we're saying, make it Team USA more of a team. You know, Derek White's gonna know what's up. Derek White can be trying to be, you know, hero out there. And Christian Brown wouldn't try to be any hero out there. And, you know, some of the other younger good players, you know, who Bane, Scotty Barnes, just guys who are, you know, not superstars, but maybe good role players, that team would be better suited. Of course, this team's super talented, they're stacked. But I don't know if they're gonna win it or not. I'd say probably not. - The talent in USA is dramatically falling off now that I think about it. - No, no, it's the rest of the world is cutting up. - Nah. - I think that's a little bit of both. I think the rest of the world is kind of caught up. - 'Cause the names that you just said, none of them are superstars, potential superstars, national champions in college. - See, you asked some of those next guys, right? Let's go to the hotline. - CP Hardin. - Is Sean ready? - Yeah. Let's get it to our guy, Platt River Mortgage's own, Sean Sedita, Sean, how are you? - Danny, I'm doing well. How are you guys doing today? - Oh, we're good, man. Jeff has got a little vacation thing going. Alex is here. We got Aloe here hanging out. Aloe's getting his ducks in order. He's thinking about some, you know, like, he likes Southland area over there. Get you one of those little ranches, one car garage, something with four or five rooms. What's the market like? I mean, can you help someone like Aloe? - Of course I can help him, but the markets, it's actually, there's a lot more inventory coming on the market, which is great. - Why? - Why is that? - I think time of year, and I think a lot of people, rates have started to come down a little bit. So it's, people are getting to the point where they're feeling comfortable doing something, either doing a potential move up or, you know, some people are moving out of state. It just kind of depends. But the good part is that we're starting to see more inventory come on, which is giving buyers a lot more opportunity to find something and being less competitive. It's a great time. I think when we saw each other at our event last month, I would say probably 75% of our clients and families that we've been able to help this last year, year and a half have been first-time home buyers. So it's a great opportunity for a first-time home buyer right now. - Okay, that's cool, man. I think that's great. I think that, where else in the whole wide world did you want to live in Colorado? We were in Omaha a couple of weeks ago and people wanted to ask a lot of questions about Denver and Colorado and, you know, what's it like and the weather and how packed is everyone? You know, a lot of people have moved to Colorado, so many people. I just think we're such a destination state that you don't have to live right in Denver to kind of live in Denver. You can live a little bit up north. You can live a little bit out east. I think, you know, when you get out west, I don't know. There's not a lot of room before you hit those mountains, but you can live a little bit north a little bit east and find like value in a bigger house and maybe a little property, right? Is that like something that happened for somebody? - Absolutely, I think you nailed on the head that it seems like anywhere that you're at, whether it's out east or up north or down south, you know, you're probably 20, 30 minutes away if you want to get downtown or get to a game. So I think there's a lot of good opportunities and as you know, the further way you get from downtown, the more you get as far as from a price point and, you know, square footage and all that kind of good stuff, but a lot of good opportunities out there right now. - All right, so say somebody is just really trying to get their stuff together here for the fall. They have, you know, a little bit of money to put down on a house. Their credit is in order or maybe they're thinking, what else do I have to do to maximize like my buying dollar? Can you just talk to those people? - Not just about, hey, let's get moving on something, but maybe let's work on this one or two things that will help us, you know, bottom line, big picture, and then we can get there in a couple of months or you can help someone, you know, with any discrepancies they may have. - Exactly, it starts with a conversation and really just kind of figuring out, I like to work the numbers backwards based off, you know, where you want to be from a comfort level from monthly payment, what that number is going to be. And we don't do a hard credit check, we do what's called a soft credit poll, so it's not affecting anyone's credit scores or showing up as an inquiry on your credit, but it really just kind of gives us an idea and a way for us to put a game plan together, whether it's a month from now or, you know, a lot of our clients, you know, they're in a 12-month lease, so we're just planning now for what's going to happen, you know, this time next year, for when their lease comes up, so we're prepared, they know they have an idea as far as what they can qualify for and what they're comfortable with. I know you're busy, we'll let you go, but I think it's heartbreak city when someone is, do we go sign another 12-month lease in a place we don't want to be at, we're paying a lot of money, rather than right now, you're thinking, well, why in one, you know, I just signed up two months in, then I got plenty of time, this and that. Now, isn't this like the really the best time to start to really prepare for you going out there and buying a house in a year from now? It's got to be, right? - It is, it is, it's, I mean, when you add up how much you're going to be paying in-- - Make sense. - It does, and that's a down payment, it really is, so in your billing equity, you're investing in real estate, which is probably the best overall investment you can do, so yeah, so it's putting that game plan together and, you know, so reach out to any of us anytime, and we're happy to help and put a plan together, I'll answer the phone, you know how we are, we're just kind of a small boutique. - No, you know, for anyone who's, you know, maybe just finding us or doesn't know Sean the way we know Sean, Sean's been with us for like a deck, and my brother's bought a house with Sean, we have so many people who have used Sean and have their relationship with you, who is a like absolute no pressure guy in a class act, and that's, you know, I say that about the people who are even bad dudes, so. - John, you're just making me blush. - No, but I'm saying, Sean, you're a really good dude, you're good people, and I want people to give you a call and utilize you, and that's it, man.
