And now, this is the moment you've all been waiting for. It's time for the strength of breakfast and now. It's Tuesday, June 25th, 2024, and this is the State Food Breakfast Podcast, Episode 40849. Make sure you're subscribed to the show. It's available across every downloadable podcasting platform. Find us on Apple, Spotify, iHeart, and Google Podcasts. Check out the State Food Breakfast Linktree that takes you to Instagram, our latest sub-stack, and verified accounts on Twitter, getter, and truth social. What's up, everybody, and welcome to the first of two big Tuesday editions of the podcast today. I'm Ron, flying soul for at least the first edition of State Food Breakfast. Lots of breaking news. Donald Trump delivered remarks over the weekend at the Faith and Freedom Conferences Washington, D.C. Stop. We've got all the post-event highlights and analysis. CNN shows its true colors ahead of the presidential debate. Don't worry, we'll break it all down for you. Donald Trump also delivered remarks at the Leah Cura Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania for a big Trump rally this weekend. We'll check in on all the highlights there. And Joe Biden's mental fitness, the U.S. Southern border, and again, the first presidential debate preview will all be broken down on the show today. We've also got a great slate of guests coming in here. Former Deputy Assistant to President Trump, Theo Wohl, will be joining us. We'll be circling back with constitutional attorney, Jesse Benal, former Ambassador to Denmark, Carlos Andes will be joining us, and we'll catch up with Texas Representative Keith Self. But before we get to any of our interviews, let's jump right into these headlines and change the way you consume your news. Funky, this is not nom. This is bowling. They're a rule. Hey, hey, hey, junior! America! It's like... Alright, everybody, welcome to the stake for breakfast podcast. I'm Roan. I'm flying solo today. Noah's out of the office, and, you know, sometimes just you have to take into consideration forklifting happens. But, uh, right in solo, we're going to be able to get things done today. We've got a lot of news. Busy starts of the week. I'm watching, you know, so much stuff developing. We've got rulings coming out for the Supreme Court, probably by the end of this week. We've got developments in the special documents case in regards to the continued sparring, going back and forth between Judge Eileen Cannon and appointed special counsel, Jack Smith. Uh, we've seen the migrants who most recently committed heinous crimes against a young 12-year-old girl outside of the Houston area. And that is the rape and murder, which happened recently there in court today. Uh, and won't be going anywhere anytime soon, according to the judge. I believe $10 million bonds were set on both of them as they're going to be detained in lieu of their legal proceedings. And obviously the big story of the week is the presidential debate that's coming down in just three days now. So that'll be set for Thursday night in Atlanta, Georgia. It's set to, uh... I guess show the American people just what exactly the choices are in prime time, as we've been tracking Donald Trump here for the greater part of the last six years. And obviously everybody has enjoyed, or not so much, living under Joe Biden for the last three and a half years in the United States. We're going to be covering a bunch of different topics today, Donald Trump. He delivered remarks at the Faith and Freedom Expand the Majority event, one of their national summit events in Washington, D.C. this past weekend. And we're going to be covering some highlights there and have some post remarks analysis. In addition to that, CNN is finally showing its true colors in regards to just about how they're going about preparing for the presidential debate as well. With some really interesting sound bites and clips produced in the media over the course of the last 24 to 48 hours as well. We'll have comprehensive coverage of Donald Trump's remarks which he delivered at Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania over the weekend. Well, he attended an event. Biden campaign produced some fake news, shocker over it. Following so, which was quickly debunked on social media as it usually is. And then we'll jump into a couple more big topics. You know, Biden's mental fitness, the crisis down on the U.S. southern border and everything else that's coming across the wire here for the first of two big Tuesday editions. The State for Breakfast podcast. We've got a great lineup coming in here. And we're going to be jumping in with some of our great friends and reoccurring guests on the show here, major contributors on the State for Breakfast podcast. We'll catch up with Texas representative Keith Sealth and talk to him about a bunch of things that are going on up on Capitol Hill. We'll also circle back with Jesse Benal, constitutional attorney who works on a lot of stuff for Donald Trump behind the scenes. Talk to him about all the legal things going on. In addition to Eileen Cannon and Jack Smith sparring over the special documents case, gag order, the tampered evidence, et cetera. We've got to talk. The scotest rulings coming out. We've got to talk about the New York sentencing coming down in less than a month now. And all things in between. You know, Hunter Biden had his law license officially suspended in Washington, D.C. today. And the wake of the fallout from the ruling up in Delaware on the gun charges recently. So we'll even joke with Jesse about that. Former deputy assistant to President Trump, Theo Wold will be back. He's doing some big things for the Republican Party out in the state of Iowa right now. And former ambassador, Carlos Hans, will be here as well. You know, we want to talk to someone. She still works very closely with the president in this time out of office over the course of the last three plus years. We want to kind of get her take on the debate preview. We want to talk about the rise of nationalism and populism across the world right now as we continue to see leaders beat out a lot of these globalists. And, you know, just what that means for potentially a second Donald Trump term in office. So buckle up as we're getting ready to jump in here. We're going to be looking at some of the highlights from the Faith and Freedom Tour leg Washington, D.C. edition. And before we get into any of the remarks that Donald Trump gave while he was the keynote speaker there, I did have one from Virginia Governor Glenn Yunken. It looks like they're meeting last week and Virginia was very productive as it seems like Glenn Yunken has come out to fully endorse and continue the coalescing around Donald Trump in addition. There was rumors that they'd be working very closely together as Virginia has become essentially a battleground state. According to the polls in this election cycle and it looks like they're going to be working together even closer than anybody could have thought, at least in the near term, Donald Trump's going to be holding a rally there this weekend. So we're looking forward to that and I'm sure Glenn Yunken will be in attendance. He was one of the speakers who spoke before the former president and believe it or not, he was promoting one of the narratives that we've been pushing here on the Stake for Breakfast podcast outside of con Inc and grift Inc and the mainstream media's narrative for well over a year now. Let's check it out. But we must put builders back in charge and that is our mission between now and November 5th, we must expand our majority in the US House of Representatives. We must take control of the US Senate and we must put Donald J. Trump back in the White House. No, I did not send him that exact talking point. Even though it's one that we've pushed heavily here on the show for a very long time now and that's retaining and extending the majority in the House of Representatives, flipping the Senate back into Republican control and having Donald Trump claim back the Oval Office for what will be his second term as President of the United States. It's interesting to see that something as simple as that, which is so hard to say in the mainstream media because quite frankly everybody wants you to listen to them, follow their opinions, buy their books, pay for their bonus content, listen to their exclusive episodes and do all this extra stuff instead of just working incredibly hard for the last five months so that the world's lives could be a lot easier, especially for people here in the United States as well who are just absolutely getting crushed under Joe Biden. But it was great to hear the Virginia governor come out and say that as hopefully those marching orders will be received by the people who are on the ground both politically and working in the apparatus that's going to support the vote in states across the US in just five months so we're going to jump right into the remarks here of President Trump and of course he was stomping on policy, namely the largest deportation operation in the history of the universe, something that he can't wait to get started and as Tom Holman has provided in the many times that he's been on the show, something that will be taken effect within the first 100 to 120 days of a second Trump presidency, let's check it out. And I will begin the largest deportation operation in American history. Biden's border invasion is also a grave threat to, and as I said, Medicare and Social Security is under watch. Biden wants to dump billions of illegal aliens into and onto Medicare and put them into Social Security and even Obamacare and suck these programs dry. That's what they're going to do and you're going to have a problem and all of a sudden they're going to say we're going to cut it in half. I'm not touching them. I'm leaving them where they are. You are going to see Social Security. If he gets elected he's going down the tubes. I can't even imagine him being like, can you imagine four more years? These are the worst, these are the worst four years. As President, I will fight for American seniors, not the Biden illegals. I will fight for American workers, not the human traffickers. I will fight for American dreamers, not the child smugglers. And I will restore the sovereign borders of the United States of America. So help me. God. And it seems that, you know, pretty simple talking point right there about America's sovereignty. You know that so many people are fed up with this. We've seen migrant crimes ramped up and just out of control coast to coast. And we're Donald Trump wanted to start with deportations and protecting seniors. And doing the things that we need to do to follow the rule of law here in the country. He would quickly segue to Joe Biden's weakness and incompetence and how those behaviors displayed on both the stage foreign and domestic have essentially set the world on fire. Let's check it out. Crooked Joe wrecked our economy with brutal inflation and $2 trillion deficit here, our deficit is going to be $2 trillion this year, $2 trillion. His weakness failure and incompetence have set the world on fire. He is a threat to democracy. By the way, just by being so incompetent, he's a threat to democracy. His Marxist administration is pushing radical gender ideology into every school. And I'm sure this group is not particularly happy with that. Crooked Joe has demonstrated an amazing ability to, you know, he just demolished the rule of law by arresting political opponents, dissidents, Christians, pro-life activists like a third world dictator would do. It's a disgrace. What's happened to our country in such a short period of time, three and a half years, what's happened to our country. It's not even believed it's like a third world. And, you know, the president makes a lot of sense when you look at some of the conflicts that Joe Biden, it seems like he has no interest in bringing to a resolution across the world, especially the one in Ukraine. Meanwhile, Israel continues their counterattack to what happened on October 7th there against Hamas. Meanwhile, they're getting ready to open up a northern front into southern Lebanon against Hezbollah there. And it's just one disaster after another. You've got a lot of posturing by North Korea, by Iran, obviously via all their proxies, the two aforementioned in Israel, but you also have gotten the Houthis down in the African continent. And it's just, if it seems like it's going to continue to be a headache for the American people, the Biden administration doesn't want to direct any attention to it because Donald Trump's going to have to take care of it once he reclaims the Oval Office in January of next year. So I think that's all part of the plan that's gone into Joe Biden's foreign policy. And then when you want to talk domestically, I mean, we've talked about it on the show here, you know, at great lengths, your poor because you can't stop spending money. It has nothing to do with inflation or how, you know, mortgages are double the price they were five years ago, the price of energy and fuel and food are through the roof. That has nothing to do with anything, you know, connected to Joe Biden, it's your fault that your poor, just because you can't stop spending money. It doesn't matter if you're working one job, which pays well, or multiple jobs, that all pay crappy just to try and make ends mean. There's no guarantee that you'll be able to do that at the end of the month because of the continuing spikes in the price of everything. But it's one of the things, again, I think the Biden administration is going to continue to try and convince the American people. But it's our fault that, you know, everything costs so much and not anything to do with Joe Biden is something so they don't have to take care of it ahead of Donald Trump winning back the White House in November of this year. You know, one of the things that Donald Trump did bring up, which I thought was great, unfortunately, it's on the heels of a tragedy, was the most recent young woman who was raped and murdered by illegal migrants led into the country under Joe Biden. And we know that it's not going to happen, but we know that the President has reached out to the families of these victims. It's no big consolation to have to hear his voice in a consoling manner during these tough times, which I can only fathom as a father myself, inconceivable for a parent to even think about. When my kids go out and have sleepovers over their friends' houses, I couldn't imagine, you know, either one of my kids leaving the house in the morning and never coming back, ever again, like some of these parents have to do. And it's because of Joe Biden's and Alejandro Mayorkas's open borders policies, and what is, you know, been inflicted on the American public, and especially a lot of young women who have ran into these monsters along the way. It's just a tough thing to talk about, but, you know, Donald Trump will continue to do what he does. I can assure you, if he didn't reach out to these families, it would be just as underreported as if he did. But when he does reach out to those families, and it does leak to the press, not like Donald Trump cares whether or not the press knows that he's reached out to these families, but they try to spin it in a way like he's doing it to promote himself. Meanwhile, Joe Biden hasn't reached out to any of these families. I mean, it was pretty funny. When we get to our rally coverage in our second edition of the podcast today where Donald Trump delivered remarks at Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the Gold Star families of the 13 men and women who lost their lives at Abbey Gate at Bagram Air Force Base in Afghanistan. A couple years ago, we're all in attendance. And again, have, I guess, cultivated a really good relationship, but not just the Trump campaign, but Donald Trump, the person. And it just goes and speaks volumes as to what just exactly is going on here. You know, not only do you have to look from top to bottom policy-wise on what the big difference was between Donald Trump and Joe Biden during their time as the chief executive is essentially the world. But it's what kind of men were they for the country? You know, and if there's one thing you can always say, it's not whether or not you liked how Donald Trump delivered his remarks sometimes, or the way he came off, or how he just drags people on social media. But when there was a time of tragedy, the empathy and warmth that he could deliver, whether it's in a joking manner like basketball, shooting paper towels down in Puerto Rico after they got hammered by a hurricane or reaching out to families like this. U.S. citizens who have lost a loved one due to the ridiculous Marxist policies of the current administration, and what it means, it shows Donald Trump has a lot warmer side, and everybody knows this, people that know him know that he's got a really big heart. So let's hear him acknowledging the latest victim from the migrant crimes, and talking about it while on stage at the Faith and Freedom Event in Washington, D.C. I don't know if you recover from it. They say time, time, time. It should never happen. It would have never happened with us. We had a strong border. We had the strongest border in history. And just this week, 12-year-old Jocelyn Nunguri found strangled to death and dumped in a creek in Houston, allegedly murdered by two recent illegal bordercourses from Venezuela, viciously murdered. These monsters should never have been in our country, and if I were president, they would not have been in our country. We had a strong border, we had strong protection, and we had very strong protection. You know, in Venezuela, we just mentioned these monsters from Venezuela, in Venezuela, their crime. It talks about how the crime continues to crease. I believe it's at 26% of what it was just two short years ago. And meanwhile, every time a police officer gets assaulted, or a woman gets raped or goffered bid, someone gets murdered. It seems like one of these countries that are emptying out their prisons, their mental institutions, and their insane asylum. In addition to all the cartel and gang members that are coming in as well, I think a lot of news agencies that begin to highlight these people while they're taking their perp walk and blow up the forearms, or in some cases, the chests of these monsters to show that they have gang-affiliated tattoos and things of that nature. You know, Alejandro Mayorkas and Joe Biden have done nothing to keep these people in detention, and have just essentially unleashed them on the American people, which we are now, unfortunately, living in the, you know, the result of. So it's kind of ironic to see the Biden administration try to play any kind of word salad when it comes to their immigration policy. They blame Republicans. They say, you know, Donald Trump was so racist that we had to un-racist his policies when Joe Biden took office. And, you know, there was just too many people, blah, blah, blah. It's a disaster, and it's an embarrassment, and so are all of them. Some of the things Donald Trump also highlighted throughout the course of this speaking event were, you know, the nation's founding and how times are similar today. It seems like the Republic banked on a small group of patriots to make sure this country would move on back in our founding times, and it seems like in a time where a lot of people were comparing it to, you know, end of Republic. A small group of patriots led by a charismatic leader and an America-first movement are going to be the ones to hopefully save it in just a few short months. We also talked about protecting Christians and Catholics, denominations of that nature as, you know, they've come under attack, not just by hate groups and entities outside of federal agencies, but also, consequently, federal agencies as well, the FBI, the Department of Justice, and who the hell else knows have been prosecuting and persecuting people who are pro-life, who are pro-church, who are pro-10 commandments, et cetera, for the past three-plus years. And then restoring school choice, which I think is a good thing. You know, the Biden administration considered school choice racist, and Donald Trump gave a lot more people in areas where the public school systems were failing communities, the opportunity for them to be held accountable, and for kids to go and get a comprehensive education at a place of their choosing. So some of the other big topics as we're going to get into the back end of this year, there were a few comical items that I want to touch on. As you know, we always try to play different points of Donald Trump speaking of it, and not just the same bullet points. As we know what the main policies that he's promoting are here, and we want to give you some of the, you know, less mainstream color commentary that you know you're going to get when people are covering immigration and inflation. You know, you'll see the tick-tacks and magonomics, bi-genomics, and all that other stuff. Let's play some of the stuff you don't normally hear in the mainstream on other shows, and definitely anywhere in the press. But before we do, guys, wherever you're listening to the show today, welcome. This is the first of two big Tuesday editions of "Stake for Breakfast," and we're glad you're here with us. I really wish Noah was here for this one today because I know in my heart of hearts that he would have enjoyed this, but Donald Trump likes to take policy and when he can find a little light humor in it. It just so happened at the Faith and Freedom event, he talked about UFC. He's a huge advocate and fan of the organization run by one of his great friends Dana White, but he kind of went down the path that tied this into immigration policy, jokingly. Where Donald Trump was wondering how Dana would feel if he floated the idea of maybe a migrant detention UFC circuit in a future Trump administration. I'm not joking. I thought it was actually pretty funny. Let's check it out. These people are tough. This is so tough. Dana White, did anyone ever hear of Dana White? He's a legend, right? UFC, Ultimate Fighter, Ultimate Fighting, and he's a fantastic man. I said, Dana, I have an idea. Why don't you set up a migrant league of fighters and have your regular league of fighters, and then you have the champion of your league. These are the greatest fighters in the world. Fight the champion of the migrants. I think the migrant guy might win. That's how tough they are. He didn't like that idea too much, but actually it's not the worst idea I've ever had. No, these are tough people. These people are tough and they're nasty, mean. So you heard it there. I mean, for as much as a big deal that it was made out of on Sunday and yesterday and even still today, it was like 20 seconds of joking. But I mean, as someone who, more often than not, partakes in a little UFC pay-per-view, I mean the migrant division champion might be a senior member of MS-13 or maybe even a member of ISIS going against one of the greatest fighters on the planet as would be the number one contender from UFC. I'd be here for it. I think Noah would as well. Hopefully this stays in the news cycle up and through Friday. It's going to be tough with the presidential debate on Thursday night, but I definitely want to bring this back up and have it as a talking point from Noah. Leave it to the mainstream press though to continue to just ruin absolutely any kind of joy that we have on any level regarding anything in this country right now. And of course they were having an absolute hissy fit over Donald Trump joking about having migrants fight UFC fighters. And of course it would be fake news CNN and we're going to do a full comprehensive breakdown of their behavior over the course of the last, well, a couple of weeks and leading up to this presidential debate. You know, they had for so long bitten their tongue and were able to like hold it together where we've pointed out so many examples of them actually maybe even reporting close to the right numbers or an accurate ish narrative, then bringing in experts to completely debunk it. And talking about Donald Trump's, you know, favorability in the polls, the successes he's had on the campaign trail is, you know, bringing in so many different minorities under the MAGA 10 and then of course things like fundraising. But it seems like heading into this debate. There's been maybe a mutiny by the frontline staff there and a lot of the air quoting now journalists at the crappy news network. And, well, they couldn't let something like migrant UFC championship edition go by without calling Donald Trump the biggest racist misogynistic bigot, whatever in the history of the galaxy that's here. And the hell is one of the two presidential candidates talking about putting migrants in the gladiator fight like experiences. Why is that even going on? I think he has to create a fear. I think that what you see is there has to be a fear. There has to be a fear part of this. And when you see a group of folks that they're really worried about on the other side of the aisle, let's take just for example, moderate voters in the suburbs of Philadelphia. Like he's going to lose those women because of Dobbs and choice, but he has to figure out a way strategically to get them back and creating this fear factor about what's going on at our southern border is just one of the ways that they'll do that. He's not creating the fear. The fear is being created by the circumstances. We do have a crisis at the southern border. People have been murdered. They have been raped. They have been kidnapped. And so the fear comes from the actual news. If Donald Trump wants to talk, I mean, if you were running a campaign against an incumbent who was overseeing this crisis, you knew the same thing. Nobody's denying there's a problem at the border. The question is after, you know, family separations and everything else we've seen during the Trump presidency, the Trump experience, they're talking about deportation camps in this country. Fight clubs. I mean, come on. At what point does your side say enough is enough on that kind of rhetoric? It's dehumanizing. At what point are the Republicans going to stop drawing attention to what they think is Joe Biden's biggest? So you're okay with this. You're all right with it. Migrant fight clubs. This is not a serious. He's clearly joking at these rallies, but he's drawing attention to something that's no laughing matter, and that's the violence being committed against a number of people. I think you got the fuck up. I just can't stand. Jim Acosta. I don't know why they give this guy. Well, I do know why they give this guy a show. And, you know, when they talk about the creating fear, one of the big things I've seen from the more progressive news outlets over the course of the last couple of weeks, especially since some of these migrant crimes have been highlighted with. Unfortunately, people getting raped, murdered both or worse is that the pushback right now is, well, you know, this beautiful young 12 year old girl had her whole life ahead of her. She was raped repeatedly for two hours before being murdered, thrown in a stream and left for dead. And the commentator that's supporting Joe Biden or the progressive, the leftist, the Democrat narrative says, whoa, okay, that's a, that's one in, let's just say 10 or 11 million people that have come into this country. That's one. That's just one. Why do we keep highlighting one? That's one case. And it's just like one too many is the answer to that and should be the automatic pushback. You know, there is no system in place under a Trump or Biden Department of Homeland Security that can 100% accurately safeguard and guarantee the people that come into this country, whether it be legally or illegally or ever going to commit a crime. Have lied about their history and background or even biographical information. And there's nothing that we can do to stop it, except it's been under this administration where you've seen the influx of people for 500% more than historically had come in under any other president ever. That you're adding so many different intangibles to the equation. Now it's like you can almost guarantee that people that are going to come in here and do harm to US citizens and to other components of the American way of life, just based off the numbers, it'd be more of a gamble to say people wouldn't do it under how many have come in under Joe Biden to say that would, so that's just the way it is. It's funny because one of the things Donald Trump has always done is that he's used colorful language out on the campaign trail, especially when he's talking about things directly associated to him, how this has been a tough time for his family, obviously in regards to all the legal stuff. And you know, when he had, I guess a conversation with one of the biggest spiritual representatives of America first recently, he had some very, well, tone it down a little bit words for the former president, let's hear it. I promise Franklin Graham, you know, Franklin, Franklin wrote me a letter. They're laughing because they automatically know what it's about. I watched your rally, I thought it was great, but honestly, Mr. President, it would have been much better if you didn't use foul language. And I said to myself, he's wrong about that because sometimes for emphasis everyone's, I mean, I don't use real foul, but every once in a while I'll use a little word here or there, and not a particularly badly. But I said to myself, you know, I'm going to do it because I like him a lot, but he said it's great, your story's a grip, but you don't have to use, but sometimes there's no word that can describe it. I'm looking for a word, like when somebody tells tall tales as a certain word that starts with B, right? There's no word that I can find to replace, right? But I'm trying, Franklin, I'm trying. I'm sure, Franklin Graham, we'll appreciate that, and however I don't think that Donald Trump's going to be using the word "bullshit" any less out on the campaign trail, and you want to know what? Listen, if you go back to biblical times and you just want to use that as an absolute reference, when Jesus found those fishermen out there, and they were having conversations amongst themselves on whether or not they were. Well, debating on if they should follow Jesus and walk with him. I'm pretty sure there was probably some colorful language there, exchanged as well, because they were ready to, in a moment's notice, just give up their life and essentially walk with the Savior or everyone. So, I think it's pretty funny that at an event like this, Donald Trump would bring up a conversation he had with Franklin Graham, regarding colorful language like the word "bullshit." But at the same time, you know, it's something he said he needs to highlight when talking about things like the legal cases that have been brought against them, and how else would you, you know, reference them and trying to find the "saurus" word to better support that? He would continue to take a couple shots at Joe Biden, of course, referring to him as a low-Q individual, and it's going to be interesting to see as we're getting ready to hit into the first presidential debate on Thursday. Just how hard Donald Trump is going to be able to hit Joe Biden at the podium with all the stipulations that are in place. Let's check it out. We have a president who's got a very low IQ. And that was in good times. That was 25 years ago. Today, today he doesn't even register. It's ridiculous. When they say he gets, "I have a friend. He's a Democrat, but he's not. He's a Democrat. Can't help it." That's the way he grew up. But he said to me, "I don't understand it. You got a poll saying you're up 10 points. How could you only be up 10 points? I say that too. Who the hell is going to vote for this guy?" And there's Donald Trump, well, kind of invoking Hillary Clinton. How am I not 50 points ahead? But that's the thing. We saw the funny business that was happening in the polls recently, where for months and months they talked about Joe Biden was losing Democrats, was losing minorities. And then all of a sudden, as we're getting closer and closer to the first presidential debate, you see these polls randomly starting to narrow after Donald Trump has done nothing but be out there on the campaign trail. And Joe Biden has been an embarrassment on the world's stage and for everyone across the planet to see. It just doesn't make any sense. You know, it's pretty funny. Even creepy Bill Maher weighed in on this. It's like a conspiracy theory on his show over the weekend. I pulled a clip for our second edition of the podcast when we're talking more about the poll numbers and things leading up to the first presidential debate. Donald Trump had a hit back on True Social for him as well. But you know, it's pretty funny to see the way that the numbers are being manipulated right now for Joe Biden. He's been off the radar now for five days. He's going to be off the radar continuing up until the debate. So it'll be seven or eight days total. And we can only speculate what happens. You know, the guy's getting juiced up. He's getting the cocktails. He's getting the IVs. He's getting condition. He's getting the Botox. And he's getting the talking points beaten into his head, maybe physically, not just metaphorically leading up into this debate because, and again, a lot of people are speculating that this is a make a break for Joe Biden. I'm back in the demo, you know, the demographic of, I can't see them replacing him at this point. You're talking about five months. And he's had three plus years to essentially run a reelection campaign. So, you know, as we're getting ready to wrap here and jump in with Texas Representative Keith self again. I do have a portion of the closed out for President Trump's speaking remarks at the faith and freedom event Washington DC this weekend. Let's hear it. We are one movement, one people, one family, and one glorious nation under God. And together we will make America powerful again. We will make America wealthy again. We will make America strong again. We will make America proud again. We will make America safe again. We will make America free again. And we will make America great again. Thank you. Thank you very much. Faith and freedom, Ralph. Thank you. God bless you all. God bless you. Good speaking event for President Trump, one that definitely needed to happen. You know, when he's asked to be the headliner at major events like this and is able to promote the America First message to Christians and Catholics that are in attendance at the faith and freedom circuit. You got to get out there and do the job. Did Donald Trump know when he woke up in the morning, he'd be traveling from New Jersey to Washington DC and then up to Philadelphia where he already had a pre standing, well, full on Trump rally to do in the evening. He absolutely did. Would there be stops for cheesesteaks in between? You absolutely know it. And would he nail it in the way that only Donald Trump has been able to do in the modern history of politics? Yes, sir. But here's the deal. Everyone's playing catch up to Donald Trump right now. The only thing we're seeing out of the mainstream media is fake polls and made up stories about him and nothing about direct comparisons to policy, comparisons to stances that he had in his former administration and what Joe Biden's doing now, etc. And then you have the same people, you know, the group of morons that go out there on a weekly basis and say Joe Biden's sharpest attack behind the scenes. He's the hardest working man in the history of the multiverse and, you know, he doesn't crap his pants and they make jokes about that and everything else in between. So, you know, listen, in three days, accountability will be shown in physical form when they take the debate stage and go off against each other. Again, chips are stacked against Donald Trump, muted mics, no audience. You name it. They're going to do it to game this against him. But I think the president needs to continue to walk through the fire on his path back to the White House. So we'll continue to touch on, well, a little bit about the presidential debate and its preview in addition to Donald Trump's other speaking event throughout the course of the show. Right now we're getting ready to jump in with Texas Congressman Keith Self, but before we do, a first check in with one of our partners. This episode of the podcast is brought to you as always by Manrubs, rubs, barbecue tools, blow torches, t-shirts, coffee cups, and all around barbecue-related gear for you to make barbecue great again. Can be found at manrubs.com on Instagram, Manrubs. Use a code "stake15" for 15% off your order. Alright, joining us first on the show today. He's the congressman who represents Texas' third congressional district. Always excited to sit down and have a conversation with Representative Keith Self. Welcome back to the show. Good to be here. Thanks for joining us today, Congressman. We've got a bunch of stuff to talk about, so we're going to jump right into it. I do want to go back a little bit and talk about one of the experiences you recently had. Someone who else participated in this, one of your congressional counterparts has been on the show recently and talked about the experience as well. But as someone who served proudly in the army for over 25 years, I want you to talk about the experience that you had out at the D-Day Remembrance Ceremony. When you guys were able to jump out of a plane, I think it was pretty awesome to see you guys all partaking that with a whole bunch of other congressmen who participated in the event and let our listenership know just about the overall experience you had when you went over there to celebrate the greatest generation in the history of this country. Well, that was a great honor, first of all, to be able to jump on Normandy and not only out of any airplane, but an airplane that was in the airborne assault on June 6, 1944. Fabulous, we wore World War II uniforms. It was a fabulous experience, and we jumped near Mont St. Michelle, which St. Michael, as you may know, is the patron saint of paratroopers. It was a gorgeous day, it was a great jump, just a tremendously experienced all the way around. It was delightful, it was an honor. Just think about that, jumping out of a plane that was on the assault, on Normandy, what an honor. Your comments parallel a lot to what Representative Corey Mills had last time he was on the show with us, and just for an overall experience, I think it was great that you guys were able to participate in that, and it's something I'm sure you won't soon forget, if ever. I do want to jump into some of the issues, Congressman. One of the ones that's been sucking up the news cycle for over the course of the last, well, three plus years, but really ramping up lately, is what's happening regarding the migrant crimes stemming from the wide open U.S. southern border under the policies that Joe Biden and Alejandro Mayorkas have kind of inflicted on Americans across the country. It doesn't seem like there's a street in America that's necessarily safe now, you don't know whether you going outside for a run or a jog, or even your children as we've most recently seen in the Houston area with Jocelyn Nungarei, you know, falling victim to the crimes of people that number one shouldn't be in this country, and number two were being led in by Joe Biden and Alejandro Mayorkas. I know you've kept a really good eye on this entire situation, and would like to get some commentary on how you see these developments kind of unfolding, unfortunately, on almost a daily basis now. Well, you said it's almost a daily basis now. We see the criminal crime way going across America. There is no safe city anymore because we move these illegal immigrants across the nation, so there is no safe street in America today. People need to be prepared to defend themselves because we now almost every day have a young lady that gets abducted, that gets tortured, that gets raped, that gets killed, strangled, and this is unconscionable on the Biden administration, but frankly, they don't care. Biden is catching and releasing murderers. Let's think about that. People who have no concept of the rule of law, and it's now everywhere. And it's going to get worse because as these Democrat DAs, these progressive DAs release them, it's only going to embolden the rest of them, and it's going to make them more confident that they will pay no consequence, no price for murder. You know, one of the things that I've seen highlighted in the news recently is the numbers that have come out from DHS. We can't even speculate on whether or not those are even accurate, but that's about known Godaways. I think the key word there in the language that they're trying to push on the American people is known. There is also a large demographic. It could be millions over the course of the last three plus years of unknown Godaways. People who just continuously slip in whether they're smuggled, whether they get into the no-go zones. That's too hard for either border patrol or components of DHS to be able to interdict them in. And those are the people that we're starting to see. I mean, there were eight terrorists in the coast-to-coast operation that were scooped up by ICE just less than two weeks ago who were plotting, you know, who knows with connections to ISIS. When you talk about the people who were in this country and how big of a national security issue it is, I mean, it doesn't take too much to be able to get your hands on some guns, criminals do it in some of the major cities on almost, you know, any time basis. And to be able to walk into public events and just absolutely cause chaos. Much like we saw with the ISIS-K inspired event in Russia a few months ago, you can have an enormous loss of American lives. And this is going to go right back to being blood on the hands of Joe Biden and Alejandro Mayorkas. You're exactly right. I will tell you that we're only seeing the tip of the iceberg because, yes, we're seeing a criminal wave, but the criminal wave one could get worse. But also, what about terror inside the interior of the United States? That's what concerns me more. Because we've got tens of thousands, probably more than 100,000 Chinese military males now in the United States. That's multiple divisions worth of Chinese military males. They can do a lot of damage. And I will tell you that I stay in close contact with the Fusion Center and the law enforcement back in my district to see what they're hearing. Because I want to know what they're hearing, what they're finding, what they think might happen. This is a concern for everyone. And I encourage all elected officials to start checking with your law enforcement so that you're on top of it. You know, recently we saw Joe Biden as probably an instance of pandering to some of the demographics that he's losing in regards to voters potentially this coming November. Grant amnesty for nearly half a million spouses of DACA, et cetera, in addition, just less than a month ago, 350,000 plus asylum cases were just dropped by Joe Biden. And that's essentially going to allow all those people a pathway to citizenship as well. When you compare that to the unconstitutional nature of the matter, in addition, not going through Congress, which would be the more traditional method to get to solutions like Joe Biden is trying to provide for all of the illegals he led into this country. We recently saw a federal judge who's willing to take up Joe Biden's amnesty for college student loan debt. Do you see a federal judge somewhere in your opinion, maybe thinking that just allowing amnesty for people coming into the country illegally could be something they'd like to look at as well? Well, let's start with Joe Biden. He is absolutely lawless when it comes to the border. He doesn't care about the law. He doesn't care about Congress. He doesn't care how many people cross because he wants more people to cross. Now, to your question, I think people are waking up. I think they are realizing that he is absolutely lawless when it comes to the Article 1 authorities and the Constitution that the Congress has. He does not care. That's the bottom line here. So unless the federal judges, we're the legislative branch, we can pass laws all day long. If he ignores them, then it's going to take the judiciary to stop him. And they have started to maybe look at stopping him for obvious unconstitutional actions. I hope it gets better. No, we agree with you on that one, Congressman. And then when you look into how you're helping to expose the targeting of conservatives by DHS, what are some of the things that your office is doing and working with some of your congressional counterparts to combat? Just some of the lawless nature that Joe Biden has allowed some of his secretary members and their agencies to conduct themselves throughout the course of his term? Well, first of all, it's not just DHS. It's DOJ. It's the FBI. It's the CIA. It's the Feistabill that we passed that expanded the surveillance. This is a major issue for this Congress to claw back Article 1 authority. I take every opportunity to speak out on these issues. And I will tell you, every time I'm in front of constituents back in my district, this comes up. They're interested in it. They know about it. They want something done. But I can't do it alone, and none of us can. We need every single Republican to be bold. We can no longer remain silent. Our constitutional republic is on the edge here. We have got to stop this. And I will tell you, Representative Luna, this week is bringing a privileged motion for inherent contempt of Merrick Garland. And that is not used very often. But it is in the Constitution. It is a mechanism in the Constitution. When the executive branch does what they're doing, they're lawless. They don't care. It is a mechanism by which we can actually have the sergeant in arms. If the resolution passes, go arrest Merrick Garland so that we can question him. I fully support this. I will be voting on it. And I think when he comes up as a privileged vote, we're going to shake the tree and see what happens. Why in this moment in time, Congressman, is it so important for constituents to understand that they need to push the representatives, much like yourself, who's taking the steps on his own to be bold in this moment. We've gone through so much changes in Congress over the course of just this session alone. You know, we've opened up the door to have much success heading into the next session of Congress, but you can't just rest on your laurels. You have to be able to continue to take those hard steps every day, buck the trend, ignore what the mainstream media is doing to try and demonize the work you're doing because it's not like you're weaponizing the justice system. You're sending federal law enforcement out to go after Americans. You're not prosecuting the former president of the United States as he's the GOP nominee and going head to head with the current president of the United States in this election cycle. How hard is it to wake up every day and know that this is the job that your task was right now in this moment of time, and you have to continue to push down that road, even though it's the one, well, as far as Congress goes, less traveled. If you guys want to make the changes, like, let's just talk about everything from, like, appropriations to border security, quickly passing legislation, et cetera, that's going to be able to get the job done for American people. It's not hard at all. This is why I'm here. This is why my constituents sent me to Congress. This is my mission today is to do what I can because the hour is late. We have got to start standing up for the U.S. Constitution. It is the only way that we are going to save our constitutional republic is to get back to the separation of powers. Everybody stays in their lane. We legislate. They execute the laws that we passed and the judiciary is the weakest branch that basically does the constitutional duty that they are meant to do. This is time to take off the gloves, I think. We have got to start being stronger. We have got to start standing, and that's where the people come in because our constituents need to be bold and allowed with their representatives because that's the only way this is going to happen. There must be consequences for votes up here. That's the answer I knew you were going to give, but I wanted to hear you give it. It's a message to all of our listeners out there. If you're in a district that has a republican house member who you just don't feel like is holding the line or is it coming out and making statements just like this, the legislation they're supporting or not when it comes into regards to the things that Joe Biden's voting on. If they're not voting with America first or in the best interest of your district, whenever the rules are suspended and the votes go to the floor, they just vote with the uni party, then you should start asking those tough questions and holding them accountable because for the small numbers we have and the house of people who are actually doing things the right way, present company included representative self, we need a lot more of you guys up there heading into the end of this session and hopefully retaining and extending the majority and doing things in the hundred and nineteen. We haven't seen done for the American people in quite some time. One of the things that's a big topic, you know, especially in America first here is that Congress is working behind the scenes investigating how they're able to rescind subpoenas for the J6 committee against former Trump administration officials. That's Dan Scavino, Mark Meadows, obviously Peter Navarro who's already in prison and now Steve Bannon who looks like he's going to be heading to jail as early as July 1. You know, this is something when you see on the back end of it what it looked like and what the January 6 committee actually did, which was nothing. It just was a big Hollywood production to show the American people Joe Biden and Nancy Pelosi side of the narrative. You know, people are actually going to federal prison over this right now and it's absolutely ridiculous. It's something that we've never seen in this country before, but it seems like if you worked alongside or were loyal to Donald Trump both during his time in office and afterwards, and they have the ability to go after you, they're going to do so. So working behind the scenes on this, what are some of the latest developments you can tell our listenership? Well, I will tell you, they're going to try to bring a resolution to the floor to do exactly what you said to rescind the subpoenas. And we have that authority to do it because the J6, as we know, the House actually passed a bill and then the Democrats promptly ignored it, designed the committee with only liberal voices and was totally illegal and illegitimate. So that's what we're trying to do. We're trying to rescind those subpoenas, which would overturn the House actions that this January 6 committee took. So I am hopeful that this will get to the floor, but this is not a privileged resolution. So we're going to need to work with the leadership to get it to the floor. And again, this is something that our listeners can help us with because we've got to get the leadership to bring this to the floor so that we can actually have a vote. Yeah, it's definitely, listen, you talked about making those bold moves and holding your congressmen and women a little bit more accountable in a time. And for a matter like this, if there's any pressure that you could put on them by emailing or contacting the offices, or when they're out in district, doing the town halls or meeting greets with you as their representatives, you got to get out there and let them know, "Hey, listen, we know it's going to be tough to pass legislation on border security." Obviously, you guys are getting ready to work on appropriations, but when it comes to rescinding the J6 subpoenas, that's something you guys can do now and you need to work on it as fast as possible. Congressman, last thing I want to touch with you on, you know, this is our last episode that's going to air today before the first presidential debate between Donald Trump and Joe Biden. I know, you know, the mainstream media has done their best job of lowering the bar and the expectations in regards to Joe Biden or, you know, even kind of trying to do what Donald Trump is bringing to the table, bringing back all the American first policies, etc. I know this is something that you're going to be watching. You had the president up on Capitol Hill a little less than two weeks ago meeting with all you guys in the Republican conference. I know that was very productive and good meeting that he had with you guys, but as you're getting ready to take in the first presidential debate of this cycle, what are some of the expectations you have and how are you looking at it? Well, everybody's talking about the drug that Joe Biden will be jacked up on. We saw him in the state of the union, so we know he will be jacked up on something. I'm not a doctor. I can't speculate. But you know what? I'm more concerned about a hidden earpiece because I don't believe that Joe Biden can participate for 90 minutes with cogent thought of his own. I don't see that happening. Now, to President Trump, I think he will be on offense. I think he will be a gentleman, and I think he will do what he can to show that he is able to serve as Joe Biden is not. And he is the one with the ideas. He's the one that the people trust with all of these issues that we've talked about today. So I expect to see a spirited offensive presentation by Donald Trump. I think we're going to see Joe Biden at his worst. I don't know that he can last for 90 minutes. It's going to be interesting to see how this all shakes out. I mean, we're still waiting to find out on whether or not Joe Biden is going to be allotted a chair for his time during the debate and what happens during commercial breaks. I think I could speculate with you as well that earpiece is going to be something. Listen, the guy can't read off of a card when he's delivering short remarks with the press, you know, without having to know what their faces are and what the pre approved questions are. It's going to be tough to. You'd falls on the shoulders of the moderators, but when you look at their behavior, I mean both in reference to Donald Trump over the course of the last three plus years that he's been out of office and just this week, cutting off Caroline Levitt on CNN and all the stuff that, you know, Jake Tapper and Dana Bash has done negatively against President Trump over the years. It's going to be interesting to see another three on one matchup for the former president. I think he's up for the task. I know you think he's up for it as well, but it's going to be interesting to see and we'll have our full comprehensive coverage recap and analysis on our Friday edition of the podcast. Great catching up with you on the show today. Always a pleasure. We come in and share with our listenership. We've obviously got your congressional website live linked in the show description today. If there's anywhere on social media or anywhere else that we can check you out. Where's that going to be? Yeah, the social media format is basically rep key self with the hashtag or whatever it takes to get there. So it's rep key self is kind of the general format across the platforms. This is one of our biggest absolute fighters out there. Always thankful we can catch up with the man who's representing Texas three Congressman Keith self. Thanks for joining us on the show. Sir, have a great rest of your week. Thank you so much. I look forward to the debate. Well, first of all, it's to take someone five minutes to Google Jake Tapper, Donald Trump to see that Jake Tapper has consistent. They're going to keep attacking my colleagues. Ma'am, I'm going to stop. If you continue to attack my colleagues, I would like to talk about Joe Biden and Donald Trump, who you work for. Yes. If you are here to speak on this. And I will have this conversation. I am stating facts that your colleagues have stated in the past. Now, we're going to come back out to the panel. Caroline, thank you very much for your time. You are welcome to come back. And you are a nasty person. All right, jumping back into the news portion of the show here. First of two big Tuesday editions of the state for breakfast podcast. And it was great catching up with Texas Congressman Keith self. Hey, listen, if you want someone that's going to shoot straight, tell it like it is. And continue to challenge his Republican congressional counterparts to do more for the American people and especially the American first movement. Then we're going to get that every single time we catch up with representative self. So it was great hearing from him and we're going to be jumping back into the news here. Talking about how CNN was kind of held it together, relatively speaking over the course of the past few months has really kind of broken down and, I guess, re contracted an enormous case of Trump derangement syndrome over the course of the last couple days. That piece you heard right there was live yesterday when CNN hosted the national press secretary for the Trump 2024 campaign Caroline Levitt. Great guest here on the show. We're looking to have her back very soon following the debates. And again, Caroline Levitt out there calling it like it is saying CNN has a huge bias against President Trump. We're going to hear in a second what it's like in regards to what she was referencing in regards to Jake Tapper and his bias against the President. And then you talk about Dana Bash, not only has she been absolutely deranged when it's coming to provide commentary on the network about Donald Trump. Her ex husband was one of the 51 former intelligence officials who signed the letter saying that the Hunter Biden laptop was rushing this information during the 2020 presidential campaign. So if you're hearing that for the first time, it's something that's not being very provided in the mainstream press, but you'll hear it here on stake for breakfast. I said, we're going to be hearing some of the biases out of Jake Tapper over the years. And I saw a good compilation of it online yesterday. Everything, you know, comparing America first to America last and Donald Trump to Hitler leading the Nazi movement. Let's check it out. The humanizing rhetoric of Adolf Hitler is once again alive and well on a national political stage. This time, of course, in the United States, a couple times over the weekend, referred to immigrants from South America, Africa and Asia. You did not mention Europe, South America, Africa and Asia as quote poisoning the blood of our country, which it's not hyperbole that does very directly echo Adolf Hitler's language before World War II open up a copy of Hitler's mine comp. You would find the Nazi leader describing the mixing of non Germans with George Germans as poisoning. There's really no other way to say it. Donald Trump's language mirrors this directly. Oh, shut the fuck up. It's bad. And, you know, these talking points that some of these cable news outlets run with. And again, I know there's a large demographic of people out here, probably a lot of the listeners of things like the stake for breakfast podcast who were like, "Well, Roan Noah, I just don't turn into the mainstream media anymore." Again, as I'm waiting for the compiled second quarter numbers of this year, the first quarter numbers revealed that CNN, Fox News and MSDNC all had over 40 million viewers, closer to 45 million in most cases, viewers to their networks. That is almost the entirety of the last presidential election electorate. So you have to take into consideration, even though we don't watch the mainstream media as much anymore. I mean, we kind of have to hear, see what's going on for the show. But if it's not something you tune into regularly, there are over 150 million Americans that do. And for people that casually follow politics, for those who only get their headlines from the cable news outlets who produce them, that's what you have to do. You have to take into consideration the fact that there are people who are getting their news from people like Jake Tapper, from Dana Bash, from Jim Acosta, from Joy Reed, from Randy Maddow, from Jen Psaki. And this is where we're at. We have to combat that narrative and be able to provide the receipts for you to understand exactly what's going on. Jake Tapper wasn't the only person who is going to be part of the tandem leading this debate on Thursday night. Dana Bash, I already mentioned her husband was one of the 51 former intelligence officials who signed off on the letter promoted by current Secretary of State Tony Blinken. Stating that the Hunter Biden laptop was a Russian disinformation scheme, and it wasn't real or legitimate. We've come to learn that that's been unequivocally false. It's very real, and there are lots of skittles on places like Hunter Biden's penis. In addition to many other things on that laptop that are genuine, it's also been proven in now federal court that that laptop had not been tampered with in any way, shape, or form, so everything on there is legitimate as well. But, you know, one of the things that is a recent development for Donald Trump, at least in this election cycle, was the fact that there were several states who were challenging his authority to appear on ballots in regards to the primary elections. A ruling that went to the Supreme Court, where they ruled in favor of Donald Trump, that he does have the ability to appear on all of these ballots. Well, Dana Bash wasn't too happy about that. Here's one of the other two moderators for this Thursday's debate, providing some commentary on that Supreme Court rule, and let's hear it. It's a question that I have, because it is, again, it seems like the Supreme Court is in a bubble, or perhaps it's some of the justices are in a bubble, and they're not dealing with, I mean, when they say, "Oh, Congress can do this." There are members of Congress, and we can go through the list, who are never going to do anything that would make life difficult for Donald Trump. So to think that the Congress is going to solve this, they barely can get a post office name these days. It's true, and you can go down the list of Supreme Court decisions that kicked whatever issue across the street over to Congress, whether it is Obamacare, which is something that the Democrats were very happy about when they did that, a little bit of a different kind of court. Voting rights, I think, is maybe the primary example of what you're saying before this. You know, look, unfortunately for America, the court isn't necessarily wrong, that this is the way the framers wanted it to be. They wanted Congress, the people who are closest to their constituents, to be able to make the rules of the laws. Asshole. So in the last two and a half minutes, you've heard one of the debate moderators from CNN on multiple occasions, compared Donald Trump to Hitler. And on the back end here, the other moderator from the same news outlet, Fake News CNN, talk about how it was unfortunate that the Supreme Court ruled correctly with the Constitution and the interpretation that the framers and the founders had for this country. So that Donald Trump could appear on the ballots in this election cycle seems fair. I mean, does Joe Biden actually have to show up at this point for there to be a debate when you've had these two absolute partisan hacks behaving the way that they have over the course of the last three plus years in regards to any kind of commentary or analysis on the 45th President of the United States? So per debate, I guess pun intended and we'll see on Thursday night. You won't miss out on anything going on down here at State for Breakfast, much like our A-tier guest list. Consequently today, we already caught up with a Texas representative, Keith Self. We're going to be jumping in with former US ambassador to Denmark, who last served during the Trump administration, Carla Sands, in just a bit. So Doug Burgum, who's now apparently one of the top three in the VP hopeful list. So what I've heard recently, let's talk about this before I jump into the audio clip. So you know, I always reach out to as many people as will reach back to me regarding just questions I have in regards to forming a narrative for our show, as closely working with the president as possible. I think if you're going to provide a podcast that's America First, that's endorsed President Trump, that likes all the America First, Congressmen and women, members of the Senate who are out there working for you, and not just themselves or the Uniparty, then as part of the narrative in between the interviews, you have to be able to do it accurately. And it's so much easier to do our job when we could reach out and have conversations off the record, of course, with former members of the Trump administration, those who are continuing to work for the president. With the president who are running in races or working at policy institutes and think tanks who are looking to help shape legislation in the next Trump administration as well. And it makes our job a lot less easier. Well, as of today, I'm hearing that the top three for the VP list at this point, from those people. And again, remember, Donald Trump is going to make the decision himself and himself alone, and hopefully be completely independent of any other influence. Even though I can report, there is a lot of pushback from many different components of, you know, former administration officials and policy group heads who are, you know, wanting to have people who either represent their organization or they feel might be the heir to America First, that want to get in. So it's looking like, as of now, in real time and again, our horse in this race is always Dr. Ben Carson for reasons that we've outlined two exhausting measures on the show, perfect complement to President Trump brings brilliance and statesmanship with them to the ticket. The quiet storm to Donald Trump's category five hurricane when it comes to presence on the stage track record loyalty, you name it Ben Carson checks all the boxes. But I'm hearing that this week, North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum, Ohio Senator JD Vance and Florida Senator Marco Rubio are the short of the short list. So take it for what it is. It's just with a couple of different groups, entities, you know, kind of talking to us off the record about it. But after having conversations with two people who I know don't frequently conversate over the course of the past 24 hours, I, you know, was able to put together that that's who, I guess the powers it be are looking at as potential VPs and why. I guess Doug Burgum brings a lot to the table in regards to his ability to Governor State, you would expect on a wider scale the nation as number two in command got forbid anything happened to President Trump would be enough in addition, plus all of the supporting he's done to President Trump since he didn't support him a few years ago has been a major turnaround for the South Dakota Governor JD Vance same thing, working in the U.S. Senate he'd be presiding over it as the Vice President of the United States got a lot of experience there. He knows the ins and outs, et cetera, as far as getting that America first legislation passed up from the House and through the Senate to President Trump's desk would be critical and key. Someone who's in the Senate now would have a great ability to, I guess, do so as Vice President of the United States and then Marco Rubio, it does put the Florida constitutional issue into question. However, what I'm being told is that the Trump team is really looking forward to after two near misses in the state of Nevada and a place where Marco Rubio has some big grass roots out there is a place where they can actually move him and park him for the rest of this election cycle. In addition to doing all the normal campaign stuff and making it seem as if they can turn Nevada, it would open up the door to the electoral victory that the Trump team is currently looking for, you know, every single time they've run their numbers internally, et cetera. So, take it for what it is, that's what I'm hearing. It's definitely not our selection, but, you know, for reasons that other people are arguing, I would have a hard time not being satisfied with any of the picks, I guess. And we're going to get even more reasons than the ones we talk about on this show where you hear other commentators throughout the press talk about obviously once the pick is made. They also said, you know, in a clip that we'll hear a little bit later in the show, Donald Trump said to a local NBC reporter in Philadelphia this week that he has made the decision himself personally, and that nobody else knows who it is, but they will be at the debate in Atlanta, Georgia this week. So, I guess we'll have to see who shows up and what that means for the potential pick. Here's Doug Burgum on CNN yesterday defending Caroline Levitt and saying people need to press Joe Biden at the debate after lying about what he said about the Russian disinformation campaign prided by his team and ran by Tony Blinken back in 2020. Let's take it out. But I think again, you know, there's, there has been a real effort on the Biden team to try to lower expectations, but I think we have to look at the guys run for office more than a dozen times. He's run for president four times. He's been campaigning since President Nixon was in office. This guy has got the ability and we've seen it. We've seen him in debate four years ago. We've seen him in the state of the state of the union this year that when he needs to, he can step up. But I think this is a real opportunity for CNN, most trusted name and news to ask some tough questions, including, you know, because this is a rematch. And when we had this debate just before the election four years ago, Joe Biden looked into the camera and said, you know, that Hunter Biden's laptop was a smear campaign Russian disinformation called it garbage, and now we know that none of that is true. And I think this is an opportunity America's waiting. I mean, CNN's got an opportunity to ask tough questions of both these candidates. Yeah. And some good points made by the North Dakota governor. I will also ask you guys to take into consideration. Look at what candidates are being pushed heavily online right now, and by what accounts are they linked to. You know, in regards to conservative media, are they pushing candidates who frequent their shows and not pushing other candidates who necessarily don't frequent their shows as the other side of the coin. Are there policy institutes who have these candidates as fellows or policy advisors, etc. You know, you have to take into consideration is there's a lot of battling going on behind the scenes on who wants the inside track to the president because let me explain something to you. For his open and is available as Donald Trump is right now showing up at all of these events, even when people have events where he's not participating in places like Marlago or Bedminster and he comes in and delivers a couple remarks and meets that all changes when he becomes the president. There's like a strict chain of command, you know, national security and the pressing issues of the nation are at stake. And the amount of time he has to be able to direct to everyone's needs is minimized because at that point, he's directly serving the American people. So if you're a policy institute, if you're a think tank, if you're a former administration official and you want XYZ, you're going to make sure the candidate who's on the short list is going to get pushed heavily out on social media and on their shows, etc. Well, so they can continue that accessible avenue to Donald Trump after January of next year. So just take that into consideration as something you have to think about when you see why you're seeing so much of these candidates pushed in different directions by different entities and what it means for the big picture of things. I saw Dr. Ben Carson sat down on CNN this weekend and, you know, the Quiet Storm brought what he usually does. America First rhetoric, unwavering support of Donald Trump, the things you come to expect for Ben Carson and when the direction wasn't going into Dr. Carson feeding into the negative narrative they were promoting about Donald Trump, they just went down the road of the recent ruling and legislation passed in the state of Louisiana where you're now going to see the 10 commandments posted in classrooms across the state. We're hoping that this spreads across the country. Of course, it's a big win because here's the deal. If you're not promoting your own narrative, you're going to be able to experience your life under the narrative of somebody else. It's just the way it is. So you have to have that first shot fired in regards to it's the perfect complement to the degenerate nature we see of all the pride and trans propaganda that's up in schools across the country. So this is how we get our narrative back. This is how we bring God back to this country. This is how we become a wholesome faith and family based nation again. But the CNN commentator started hitting Ben Carson on. Well, you're in agreeance to see these 10 commandments posted in schools across Louisiana. How many rooms at Mar-a-Lago does Donald Trump have the 10 commandments posted? It's just a completely ignorant and low IQ question. It's a complete bait. But when you hear the way Dr. Carson answers and the fact that that's not really his job to worry about. Donald Trump's his own person and what he posts in his business is just that. It's just the degenerate nature that organizations like CNN operate in that you can expect kind of click bait commentary. Well, let's check it out. Have you, for example, ever seen the 10 commandments up at any Trump properties? I haven't specifically seen them. I don't know if they're there or not. Shouldn't they be? I wouldn't object to them being there. I don't object to them not being there. But I'm saying if they're such universal tenants, why are they not up where former President Trump controls what happens? I mean, he owns those properties. He operates them. He could put them up. Shouldn't they be up? Well, this is not about President Trump. This is about what is happening to the moral fiber of our nation. This is happening because people no longer respect other people. And these are rules of conduct that can help people that start understanding that we have an obligation to treat our fellow man in a certain way. One thing, though. At a young age, it makes a big difference. Well, you know, I think that's great, actually. We do want to teach people values, but I think what people object to is the idea that those values come from. Any particular one religion, for example, there are parts of the world where they do not believe in the Ten Commandments as a text, as a historical text, as a religious text. Are those places not civilized? Are those places not teaching values? Well, if the people of the state of Louisiana don't believe in it, they can do something about that, can't they? Hey, she was a hoo. All right, first of all, that's what I think about Abby Phillips over at CNN. Secondly, if you think about the potentiality of Dr. Ben Carson debating Kamala Harris and... Man, we'll hear from her. Wait till you... You want to talk about school buses are yellow and when you open your mouth, air is what you breathe and her enthusiasm for Venn diagrams. Wait till you hear her take on elections, which we'll get to in our next edition of the podcast. But just imagine him going head to head with Kamala Harris and them having a couple points to kind of get you moments and Ben Carson just kind of... And then giving them a response that's just completely appropriate and smashes through the fake narrative that they're trying to promote. I mean, listen, we call him the quiet storm for a reason. And if you're looking for someone with as much energy and enthusiasm as Donald Trump, you're not going to get it with Ben Carson, but what you are going to get is thoughtful, mindful, prepared and educated answers. And a long documented track record of the amazing job he's done for the country throughout the course of his service, both as, well, federally and in the private sector as a doctor. So just take that into consideration as we're winding down here on who will be the vice presidential pick. And I've got one more. So you cut off Caroline Levitt, you've compared Donald Trump to Nazis and Hitler for years. You're sad because the Supreme Court voted with the Constitution to keep Donald Trump on ballots. You try to get Doug Burgum when he calls out the network for promoting the 51 former intelligence officials and the fake news narrative that the Hunter Biden laptop was rushing disinformation. You try to get you gotcha get him, Ben Carson, on things like the Ten Commandments, and what is it? Donald Trump's not godly enough or something to post him at Mar-a-Lago. Fortunately for the former president and the current GOP nominee, he did headline the Faith and Freedom Tour event in Washington, D.C. this weekend where he could rebuke and refute all of those fake news narratives. Well, then you just go to negative. So former disgraced Speaker of the House, promoter of terrible documentaries, in regards to things like January 6th, and not so much of a closet alcoholic, Nancy Pelosi jumped on with New Year's Eve's gayest commentator, Anderson Cooper last night. And when they didn't have any specific topics to talk about, Anderson Cooper brought up, well, you know, how's your husband recovering from the attack, because I guess recently the man who did so was sentenced to his prison time. Again, something that Donald Trump has made fun of on the campaign trail. There is parts of that story which we'll never know, but I think anyone with half a brain and more than a double digit IQ understands that there was something going on there and it kind of went off the rails in regards to Paul Pelosi and that creepy guy that he was like, I don't know, getting pegged with a hammer with. And here we go. Let's just go absolutely negative and have Nancy Pelosi shit talk. Donald Trump, let's check it out. But I'd be remiss if I didn't ask the person whose name I shall not say was convicted of the attack on your husband. How is Mr. Pelosi doing? Oh! Oh God. He's okay. I mean, he's making progress. He's about 80% there physically. Trimatically, it's terrible. But as we pray about it, we're always worried about other people and how the incitement of these people, for what the things that they say, the lies that they tell, to it incite somebody to come into my home and that. And I just worry about other elected officials, whatever their point of view is, whatever side of the aisle they're on, that they not be subjected to that because that undermines our democracy in such a very serious way. But what was awful about it, Anderson, was that they made jokes about it. The President of the United States said ridiculous things, the former, what's his name, you know, ridiculous statements, his son said stupid things. Some of his supporters, and you know who they are, said awful things. And that was very hurtful to us, to our children, to our grandchildren. But more importantly, to our country. Who do they think they are? Well you know what they are, they're going to be losers in just a few months. Once again, indicted, impeached, convicted, loser again. Shut up, bitch! Anytime I play Nancy Pelosi on this show, you know we could follow it up with one of the rock's most famous lines from Monday Night Raw. But yeah, again, as we laid out a portion of our debate preview here, what are they going after Donald Trump for policy wise? Being Hitler is not policy points, constitutionally. Okay, they want to hit his Supreme Court nominees who are now judges serving on the bench and provide analysis saying that it's unfortunate that they ruled in favor of the framers, the founders, and more importantly, the Constitution. When that doesn't work, we'll just try to get all the surrogates closer to him. Hopefully we'll get them in a bad, hot mic moment that we could make soundbites and mean to be like clips at. We'll talk about clip manipulation in our other show today. The Biden campaign again gets ratioed on the speaking event that Donald Trump had at Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania this weekend as well. And then when all else fails, and you know it's the peak of prime time, just bring on one of America's last biggest losers and have them go negative on President Trump. They really have nothing, which makes me think that this debate is going to be more interesting than a lot of people are alluding to right now. So we're going to continue to track it, talk about it a little bit in our second edition of the podcast. We got another show on deck here. But before we get to any of that, we're going to be jumping in with former U.S. Ambassador to Denmark, the lovely Carla Sands. But before we jump in with her, let's check in again with one of our partners. I think it's time we had a conversation about a good night's sleep. Alright, joining us next on the show today, this big Tuesday edition of the Stake for Breakfast podcast. She's the former U.S. Ambassador to Denmark, who last served during the Trump Administration. She's also the Vice Chair at the Center for Energy and Environment at the America First Policy Institute. Always excited to sit down and have a wonderful conversation with Ambassador Carla Sands. Welcome back to the show. Hey, it's great to be. I love being with Stake for Breakfast. We love hosting you, and we're going to get right into the biggest topic of the week. We're doing a big preview of it on our show today, but we'd like to get some commentary for someone who worked a little bit closer to the breast throughout the course to the last eight plus years or so. And that's the first presidential debate set for Thursday night in primetime down in Atlanta, Georgia. Ms. Ambassador, we know that this is going to be huge for Donald Trump. I mean, it's been a long time since he's been on the debate stage with Joe Biden. The last time we saw it, you had the mainstream press in Joe Biden making excuses for the Hunter Biden laptop, the 51 former intelligence officials, all of their fair violations and business dealings and everything of that nature. In addition, we've all got to live, unfortunately, under Joe Biden's open border and globalist policies for the last three plus years. Americans are reaping the unrewards of that across the country. It seems like the president has a tall task. If there was anybody I'd bet money on for being able to win a debate where he's going to be up against Joe Biden and at least two moderators. I think it would be Donald Trump, but I'd like to get your kind of preview commentary on and head it into it. Well, it's a great question. Of course, I'll be watching the debate. As I imagine most of your listeners will, if not in real time, then, you know, when they can catch it. You know, it's true. In 2020, when Donald Trump was debating Joe Biden, Trump was at that time the sitting US president, he wasn't just debating Joe Biden. He was debating the moderators, even when it was a so-called friendly venue. If you remember on Fox, I mean, they shut down every credible inquiry that Donald Trump made into Joe Biden. They covered for him on everything. Wouldn't let him talk about foreign policy where he was just kicking it. Remember, under Donald Trump, President Trump, we had no new Foreign Wars. The last 18 months of Afghanistan, no service member lost their lives. We had the historic Abraham Accords. We had a first ever US president meet with the head of North Korea and begin a process of de-escalation. There were no big tests during President Trump's term, which now things have really escalated. And we have a terrible alignment of Iran, North Korea, China, and Russia, which is the worst thing that could have happened, which President Trump was working to prevent from happening. But we also had beginning a piece around the world. He defeated ISIS. We had the quietest border in my adult lifetime. He had done those deals, and we had to use negotiating skills that he has, but we had peace at the southern border as well. You know, you talked about that. I think that's a huge thing. Taxes, tariffs, sanctions, and then in the case of like ISIS's al-Baghdadi or a Soleimani from Iran, you know, they pay the ultimate consequence for bad foreign policy. But you're right. Donald Trump was, you know, a successful businessman to say the least before he ran for president. He used a lot of those negotiation tactics to kind of convince world leaders whether they were geopolitical allies or foes. America First was the way that we were going to go, and there's a way that everybody could win in this situation, but it's going to be making a lot more concessions. I think global organizations like NATO found out the hard way just how that looks. So did the WHO and the Paris Climate Accord enthusiasts across the country. But here's the deal. I mean, under Joe Biden, Americans have gotten absolutely destroyed in every context of their life. There's not a street in America right now that's safe to walk down. And, you know, just seeing the recent rampant crime that's ramped up all across the country, you can't go and make that argument and say there's anything against it. In addition to that, you see the price of everything nearly doubled since Joe Biden took office. It costs more than 70% of your paycheck to keep a roof over your head, hot food on the table, and energy to either get back and forth to work or heat or cool your home. And then there's everything in between. I mean, you touched on a little bit of the failed foreign policies of Joe Biden, but, you know, just to see him on display a little over a week ago at the G7 and the D-Day remembrance. It's just an absolute embarrassment. So when you see these two going head to head, I don't think that CNN is going to allow Donald Trump the platform to kind of apologize for not allowing Joe Biden to get fact-checking real time when he was saying, you know, 51 former intelligence officials, and we never received any kind of money from places like Moscow or Ukraine or Romania or wherever they were, you know, getting their funds from. But do you think that at least in the context of policies that this outlet that has been, you know, completely inappropriate in their behavior this week earlier on Monday, cutting off Caroline Levitt mid interview, you've got Jake Tapper and Dana Bash going out and saying nasty things about Donald Trump over the course of the last several years, comparing him to Hitler, saying it was unfortunate that the Supreme Court was going to allow Donald Trump to remain on the presidential ballot and give our former president and Republican nominee a platform to talk about and promote America first and how life was better during his administration. My gosh, you've just said it all. Do you remember when debates in America were just neutral platforms for the candidates to tell their story to the voters? Oh, my gosh. Now we have enemies of one of the candidates, President Donald Trump, Jake Tapper hates him, has been openly hateful about him and spiteful. Dana Bash hates him, the network you saw cutting off that beautiful spokeswoman, she's adorable. President Trump's spokeswoman and very articulate, didn't want to hear the truth, no truth allowed. So I'm worried that they're setting President Trump up, but he's very canny. He's been in the lines then before. I've heard that he's requested that Joe Biden take a drug test. That's a great idea. I don't think he'll get it because there's, you know, clearly he's drugged up for these big events. That's why he said it. And then you saw Dr. Ronnie Jackson, who's a current congressman from Texas. He was Barack Obama's doctor, George W. Bush's doctor and President Trump's doctor. He said that Joe Biden should take a cognitive test and he just sent a letter to all the members of Congress requesting this. It's going to be interesting to see how this all plays out. And then, you know, following the debate, we could start to, you know, get back to the basics where we'll have a little bit less than a month before. Well, unfortunately, Donald Trump gets his conviction in regards to the New York case up in Manhattan, but then we'll have the RNC, which would be extremely celebratory. Hopefully, Donald Trump is able to attend it in person. He'll also be making the announcement for his vice presidential pick. You know, quick commentary, Ambassador Sands, you've seen the field narrowed down to a handful of very legitimate and viable contenders for the VP. Have you been watching anybody in particular? Do you like the entirety of the field? You know, I love the field. I think they're great. We have such a great farm team. I think they all bring different skills. I have to say, I appreciate the way JD Vance has been a real fighter and a real America first. The American people really want somebody to fight for them and make their lives better. We saw how easy it is. Well, maybe not so easy. But if you intend to do, and you have good policies, like President Trump's Tax Cuts and Jobs Act and how that just was like rocket fuel for the economy, reducing regulations, increasing the manufacturing in the US so that those jobs were coming back. All that was just so good for the American people. But I do think that President Trump will win the debate even though they're all aligned against him because he has such a command of the facts and he's a likable man. I know him personally and he's a great guy. He does bring a little bit of that comedic sense to the table. But I think when you talk about, I really like how some of the information that was presented to the press over the course of the last few weeks is that Donald Trump was preparing a lot less to debate a lot more to know everything about the successes of his policies throughout the first course of his administration and what that means for a second Trump term. I think that presentation to the American people, where everybody is kind of in dire straits at least financially right now, when you look at the amount of debt and how much everything costs and we're just heading into the gist of the summer months, the dog days here, I think it's going to be something that, you know, you see him go into places that aren't necessarily Republican strongholds like New York City and Philadelphia recently. Yes, and just have these massive turnouts of people who understand that life was better and they want that back again. I think that's the best messaging for the president. I think that's a really good point you make. I do want, you know, you work on a lot of policy stuff and potentially policy that's going to be enacted in the course of a second Trump administration and two of the big ones right now, they kind of connect to each other. It's what's going on down on the border and it's what's going on with American energy and lack of independence under Joe Biden. You know, we were so close to being an energy dominant under Donald Trump and I just think that, you know, all of the re regulations and red tape and things that Joe Biden is just abandoned as far, whether it's the Excel pipeline or even places that were set to get started up to be drilling in and fracking in that he abandoned throughout the course of his presidency. These are things on day one, we could start, you know, reinvesting in and over the course of very short time seeing results for the American public. So as we're getting ready to think potentially about a second Donald Trump term in office, how are you looking at some of these regulations and policy points that are going to benefit the American people and what are the ones that you want to see as part of like the first 100 days agenda reimplemented for the Americans? Well, you know, I'm working with America First Policy Institute. I'm the vice chair for energy and environment there. I'm also their Pennsylvania state chapter chair, and then I'm a senior advisor to America First Works and that's the C4 arm. And I'm really excited to tell your listeners that we're working on executive orders, these videos that President Trump has asked for. So we're working on those were also we helped draft the first two bills out of the current Congress. It was called HR one and HR two HR one was an unbelievable energy bill that literally would unleash America's economy. It just wasn't about energy. It also was about deregulating all kinds of industry. So it would benefit all businesses and it would help build good paying jobs. The other bill HR two was about the border and was about securing the border because we know exactly how to do it because President Trump showed us how to do it. All of these things he demonstrated in his first term. So when people say crazy things like he's going to be a dictator or President Trump's going to do this or that or the end of so-called democracy. Just remember, we had the best economy of our lifetimes during President Trump's administration and I'm a Reagan Republican. His policies were even better. In fact, I was just out of the Reagan ranch a few days ago. But yeah, so I think that looking at the field and what he's going to do this time around is not like 2016. We are so ready for day one. And we're ready to push forward it with every legal means necessary, beneficial policies to make America great again and to benefit everybody in our country. You can't say it any clearer than that. I mean, it's literally the receipts we're bringing from the last administration. You would think that in the last four years on the back end of a second term, we would see that on steroids, both literally and metaphorically. And we would hope for big benefits for the American people. And then foreign wise, you know, I want to talk to you this because your experience as an ambassador, you got to meet with so many different world leaders, you got to see the way the world changed, responded, and then kind of flourished peacefully under Donald Trump throughout the course of his first term in office. And what we've seen over the course of the last couple of years, especially coming out of the pandemic where we saw just a lot of shady global tactic that set the world back decades when you want to talk about the, you know, overall label market of the world, the global economy, education for an entire generation of people throughout the world who were shuttered in, you know, distance learning for sometimes years in a lot of cases, especially here in the United States. But then when you look at the gold standard of like people who put their country first, obviously you start and end with Victor Orban, but the rise of people like Bukelli, Malay, you've got Maloney in Italy, you've got Le Pen resonating now in France. You've got Nigel Farage in the UK who I think he really feels like Donald Trump's going to win because he's thrown his hat back into the political arena. You see the rise of nationalism and populism spreading throughout the world, things that Donald Trump promoted throughout his first term in office. How is this going to be to set up like alliances with all these people to make sure that, you know, the world is not only safe, but very prosperous again like it was during the first Trump administration. You know, it's a great question. We saw how Brexit preceded President Trump's election, right? Elections have consequences, things that happen in one continent do affect other continents and affect the world. So if people, I'm hearing that people in other countries in very, you know, kind of leftist socialist Europe are saying privately to Americans, if President Trump's not reelected, it's the end of America. It's the end of, you know, controlled government and sovereignty, national sovereignty because we see that the UN and the World Economic Forum is attempting to kind of roll up in some ways under the WHO to have a global governance. And some of it, it's under the climate, you know, so-called climate change agenda that there's a kind of world cabal attempting to take away the sovereignty of each nation. It's very aggressive and they're being highly effective. So if President Trump is elected, we're able to stop that or at least slow it enough that we can help the world change course and by world I mean, you know, keep the national sovereignty. Nobody dies and fights for the world. They die and fight for their nation and their people, their kindred. So, you know, I really you mentioned some of the leaders that are very, very exciting, like Bukhali, who my friend was the ambassador to El Salvador and saw the rise of Bukhali and what he's done to bring peace. They have peace in Bukhali. It has the lowest crime of any nation in our hemisphere. But what happened, a lot of their criminals came to the US once Joe Biden opened up the doors. Just like in Venezuela, there's crimes down over 70% in their cities, while it's gone up over 60% in our cities. Well, there's a reason. It's because the criminals, the people from, you know, the bad people are coming here. President Trump was not right. Or some people coming here and deserve asylum. Sure. Maybe one, two, three percent. And the rest, maybe the rest are fighting age men from places like China and Syria and, and they look like some bad ombres. I looked at them. They're not, you know, they're not good guys necessarily. Well, I mean, you're right up there with the numbers of actual people who gain asylum. And then when you look at all the other people, we just want to remind our listenership is people like Tom Holman and anyone else who served in the prior administration or has any experience in regard to how DHS works. Claiming you want to come to the United States for a better life is not a legitimate asylum claim. So for the nearly 20 million people that are going to try and sneak in here by the time Joe Biden leaves office, there's going to be a lot of them who are hopefully leaving expeditedly when Donald Trump retakes the White House in January of next year. Ambassador, this has been fantastic catching up with you today. What a great segment for our listenership to kind of enjoy. We love to get your perspective, not only on behalf of the America First Policy Institute, but with all the experience you've had throughout the course of your service to this country. In addition to the close relationship you have with President Trump and America First, we've obviously got your website and your page at the America First Policy Institute live linked in the show description today. But if there's anywhere else, we want to check you out, especially on social media. Where can we find you? Well, I'm mostly, I'm hottest on Twitter and then I'm a little bit on all the other platforms. But I really am so happy to talk to your listeners. I think we do need alliances with like-minded countries. I was just in Estonia talking to them about NATO and, you know, contributions, which is really important to President Trump. And then also about the Ukraine war because that is an issue. We don't want our young men and women going to Ukraine and fighting. That is, we are not intending to get into a war with Russia. So America First doesn't. So anyway, great to talk to you. Thanks so much. Always a pleasure and we'll be looking to have you back in July as well. This is the former ambassador to Denmark and the vice chair at the Center for Energy and Environment at the America First Policy Institute, Ambassador Carlos Anst, thanks for joining us today. Have a great rest of your week. Guys, we're coming back with another all new edition of the State for Breakfast podcast. So sit back, relax, and let us change the way you consume your news.
