He was convicted in New York today of all the counts at his corruption trial. Damien Williams is the U.S. Attorney. This case has always been about shocking levels of corruption. Hundreds of thousands of dollars in pride and form of cash, gold bars, and Mercedes-Benz. This wasn't politics as usual. This was politics for profit. The charges also include acting as a foreign agent for the Egyptian government. Menendez looked toward the jury at times. He sat resting his chin against his closed hands, elbows on the table. Immigration takes center stage at the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee on Day 2, with Speaker spotlighting a key element of former President Donald Trump's political brand. Some House Democrats are circulating an unscented letter to the Democratic National Committee with serious concerns about nominating President Biden in a virtual roll call as soon as next week. The Democrats' convention is not until next month, and the letter says it would be a terrible idea to stifle debate about the nominee with an early vote. The roll call was set up to make sure the president could qualify for the ballot in Ohio, but the letter says the state has since changed its rules, and the issue is no longer relevant.
