[Music] Your world is a lump for my feet, a light on my path. Precious One, we counted all joy to be connected to you through this dream from Havershapul International, De Nami Kumar Singh, the name of the Lord be praised. You are warmly welcome to another episode of Morning Glory Devotion. A lovely husband and I, pastor and Deaconess Queson will be facilitating today's Devotion. Please let's start on a note of prayer. Heavenly Father, once again we are grateful to be nowhere else but in your presence. Thank you for your promise, never to leave us no forsakers. Faithful Father, as we study your word today, announce us with your eyes out that we would see glorious things out of your word in Jesus' name, Amen. Amen. Let's kindly take our confession from Dushar Chapter 1 verse 8. Dushar Chapter 1 verse 8. This book of the Lord shall not depart from my mouth, but I shall meditate in next day and night, that I will be observed due according to all that is written in it. For then I will make my way prosperous, and then I will have good success, Amen. The theme for today's Morning Glory Devotion is looking in the mirror of God, looking in the mirror of God, and our scripture readings shall be taken from James Chapter 1 verse 21 to 25, James Chapter 1 verse 21 to 25. I will be reading from the new International Version, therefore that's rid of all moral field and the evil that is so prevalent and humbly accepts the word planted in you, which can save you. Do not merely listen to the word and so deceive yourselves, do what it says. Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says, is like someone who looks at his face in the mirror, and after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like. But whoever looks intensely into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues in it, not forgetting what they have had, but doing it, they will be blessed in what they do. This is the word of the Lord. Thanks be to God. Amen. Amen. Looking in the mirror of God, looking in the mirror of God, mirrors play a fundamental role in our lives. They are objects we can hardly go a day without using. Though usually insignificant in size, they are significantly behind the successful operations of many industries, including transportation, fashion and dentistry. It is based on the simillitude of the importance that the Bible admonishes us to keep looking at the mirror of God's word daily and intensely, that we will be transformed into the reflection of God's glory. For some of us out there, we still do not see mirrors as an indispensable part of our lives. This may be because we are busy and hardly spend time with a mirror at home. Maybe for you and I, we can go days without end without taking a look at our reflection in a mirror, and are still very fine. As such, we apply the same tactics or level of importance to our daily looking intensely at the mirror of God's word. Let us see what happens when we fail to do so. When we fail to look at ourselves in the mirror, we are sometimes forced to depend on the comments of our spouses or friends to get things such as our hair, makeup or dressing done right. When we depend on such comments and not the mirror, we often would miss the precision in getting it right the very first time. For example, imagine you have a piece of bread or thread hanging somewhere around your face. When prompted by others, you still find it hard and easily locating where exactly it is on your face. In such moments, your left is your right and your right is your left, how confusing it can get. It is the very same thing when we rely on the comments and directions of others instead of looking at the mirror of God's word. We lose the precision and perfection in getting it right the very first time. Our relationships, marriages, academics and businesses suffer the waste of time and resources. We take several shots at a task before we are ever successful, something we could easily have avoided if we looked first at the mirror of God's word and what it sees about the situation. Some of us hardly use mirrors because we are pretty confident that an activity such as our makeup or brushing of teeth has been done thoroughly in the past. Past we can go a day without giving ourselves a good look in the mirror. When we do so, we peg or stick to the standards of previous successes and never strive for doing better. Beloved, we can do better if we look intensely into the mirror of God's word and contemplate. The Lord would grace us with fresh ideas in meeting higher levels of success moving from one degree of glory to another degree of glory. We will not become complacent in our efforts but strive for mastery in meeting Master Jesus' standard. Finally, for some of us out there, we sometimes take a look at the mirror. But we do this from a distance and maybe at an angle, not standing directly in front of the mirror. And so, like the side mirror of a car, we see images other than our own reflection. Comparing it to the similitude of God's mirror, we may be looking at the mirror of the word from a distance where we only see how the reflection of others are far away from reaching that of God's glorious image. We can see the speck in the eyes of others but never the plank in our own eyes. Every dive into God's word brings out clearly the wrongs in others but never in our own selves. It makes us quick to condemn the actions of others but never ours. By doing so, we never get to apply the word of God to our personal lives, making no personal gains, corrections and improvements in our relationship with the Lord. We lose out on the benefits the mirror of God's word has for our lives. Having understood these things, let us with all intents look daily and closely into the mirror of God's word. As we do so, let us contemplate on the reflection we see and make amends when necessary. The Holy Spirit is there to grace us with the inspiration we need to move from one level of glory to another level of glory. God richly bless you. Let us kindly take our memory verse for today. Our memory verse for today is taken from 2 Corinthians 3 verse 18. 2 Corinthians 3 verse 18. I read from the amplified Bible. And we all, with unveiled face, continually seen as in the mirror, the glory of the Lord are progressively being transformed into His image from one degree of glory to even more glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit. And we all, with unveiled face, continually seen as in the mirror, the glory of the Lord are progressively being transformed into His image from one degree of glory to even more glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit. Amen. Let us kindly share a word of prayer. Our Heavenly Father, we are blessed to be at your feet and to understand these things as pertaining to the mirror of your word. We receive grace that with all intents and peppers, we would look daily and closely into the mirror of your word, that we shall be transformed into your image from one degree of glory to another, in Jesus' mind's name. Amen. Just as we've been admonished, let us with all intents look daily into the mirror of course word. We shall definitely be transformed from one level of glory to a higher level of glory in Jesus' name. Amen. Keep your online radio right here.
