In our series "Before and After," we've explored marriage from various angles. Today, we conclude with "After it's all Over" with a depiction of Abraham's grief after Sarah's death and how Pastor Rick experienced the worst day of his life.
SOME TRUTHS TO TAKE AWAY:
EVERY MARRIAGE WILL END
It's a sobering truth: every marriage ends, either by death or divorce. Ricks personal experience taught him that living problems are often tougher than dying problems.
ACCEPT YOUR PAIN AND LOSS
Grief takes time. Like Abraham, we must acknowledge our pain and allow Jesus to bring comfort and healing.
Take time to get healthy
Healing takes time. Rushing into new relationships prolongs the process. Wait on God's timing.
Get your picker fixed
Seek counsel and set spiritual safeguards in potential relationships to avoid repeating past mistakes.
Don’t run from future great relationships
Trust God's plan for restoration. He can mend what's broken and bring beauty from ashes.
