Does it help that Brandon Iyuk is part of a Shanahan system if you were to come to Denver? Does that benefit Denver? Because Denver's old system was a Shanahan-type system or is it like a new leaf, you know, with Sean Payton? And then also, do you think that, you know, that frees us up from the Courtland Sutton ordeal? If we get Iyuk, it's like, finally, now we can wave goodbye to Courtland Sutton and kind of put the Courtland Sutton saga in the review mirror. I'll say that. I've come to terms with a lot. I've this, I'm just turning the corner on this and it's only circumstance and it's pure circumstance. That. No, no, no, no, no. Why would you add Iyuk when you're so far away, seemingly so far away? Okay. So like the heavy big years of this contract when you're paying him tons of money for the next three years, two of the years you're going to suck and at the end and last kind of the year, he's someone sour about it. It's just not going to work out. You're not going to get the best of him in when you're at Bonix's best. I kind of used to think that why would when you're coming up, let's get some cheap ass guys and all come up together. And then when you're there and close, then you add the Iyuk's hold on, guys. We're close. We're not close. But I have come to terms with if you think bonix is the truth. If you think that if you think that bonix is from the first church, nothing but the truth and going to be a star, then you you get running mates with them as soon as possible. Because that's going to fast forward the process and get them up to speed quicker and then potentially we've seen it before. Maybe you kind of win right away. If this guy is mature enough and good enough, but you can't win right away with a bunch of mimzies and guys who they drafted this year and and Tim Patrick and Courtland Sutton, probably to be honest with you, flat out honest. That's still a bottom tier receiving group. You get Iyuk and you hit all green lights and you stay success. You stay super healthy and Coach Payton's calling on just bing, bing, bing winning all these 50/50 match ups and you get off to a fast start. Then Iyuk becomes so valuable because then, you know, it takes so much off of Sutton and vice versa. You get two or three young guys who step up or all this and you're like, the Broncos and the next explosive young team, look what Iyuk has done for these guys. My fear and then we got to go to play play us play us some music is that Iyuk potentially maybe kind of sort of might be overrated over because listen, slow start to his career. Finally, kind of got it figured out is surrounded by tons and tons of talent. Hills, he's never got the best corner or second best corner on him in most cases because of Kittle because of just Debo because the Christian McCaffrey, who drinks up a ground to cover Starbuck's daily, is like a supercharger for a Zass and he can run as fast as the Flash. He's overrated? Yeah, I do. He's about to put me wrong. I think he's overrated. Well, he hasn't gotten the chance to prove you wrong. And that's some good sports starts radio right there. Four years. 80 million. Four years. 80 million. So next up is Pat Sir Tan. I kind of have noticed a theme or a trend building in Denver. You've drafted bowls in the first round. You've drafted Sir Tan. You've signed Miners to an extension. It kind of feels like the Broncos are starting to do it the right way. They may not get the wins that they deserve and they may not get the breaks that they need to make the playoffs or whatever, but I don't know if it's like, you hope it's not too little, too late and you're kind of searching for your QB one still. So all of this may mean nothing in the end, but with the drafting of alignment in the first round with the extension of another lineman for four years that's been playing well and drafting Sir Tan. At least it feels like you're doing it the right way now. It does seem like a plan. It does seem like a reboot, not a rebuild. It's, it's exciting. I'm humbled to be here, probably it's a rebuild without your QB one. It probably is a rebuild. Here's what I'm saying. In Broncos history, we've said it a million times on the show, no one said it more than me ever around here around here that the Broncos are a crown jewel legacy brand. You're never rebuilding. It's just always like a reboot. That's the beauty of what Vance said. It's not a rebuild. It's a reboot. We're the Denver Broncos. We're a quarterback away. We're any superstar away. We can go get because we're the Denver Broncos in the history of the franchise. We can be able to always do that, but we're far away from that now. So when we talked about on the simian to the flakos, to the locks, to the rushes, I'm not. It's like another jump start. It's not like a tear it down. It's cool to get one of those houses in North Denver or Wash Park and like you pop the top a little bit and like, yeah, you make more room and it's super more valuable and all that. But it like doesn't look right because it's on like that old Victorian kind of high ceiling. You got those cool brick porches, all that sometimes just got to tear it down and build it back up. And that's better. It's just better. But I don't know if coach Sean Payton's plan is going to work. That's what we do here. We'll wait and see. And that's the beauty of it. But it's definitely a plan. And that's why court and son, if he wants to fit into the plan, he can, but court and Sutton at $17 or $18 million doesn't fit into the Broncos plans at 13. Yeah. Are you more excited? So you're more excited about signing guys like minors to an extension. Not at all. For some reason it rubbed me the wrong way. Why? No clue. I can't get my head around it. So he's, he's one of the top five paid guards in the league now, which is crazy because where he was drafted at, you're thinking, I think you can get value for him. You can kind of sign him to a lower. Well, you're protecting ultra production is like, if you're protecting Patrick Mahomes or Josh Allen, or like a big money, if you're protecting a guy to pay like three or four million or two or three guys where I could pay collectively under 10 million to do that develop one of them to be the next minors. I mean, minors hasn't won Jack Crap squad. We don't run the ball for crap and his fall and Russ got, I don't know, like, apparently not apparently because like, no, apparently not because apparently I've never been on live television before. Just kidding. Well, apparently, apparently the rollercoaster. I don't know what to do with my hands. No, but yes, so you would have rather signed the right thing to do. Do you know what I think for me and I'm never this guy, but it's when I go get gas or I'm buying like strawberries and hamburger meat and stuff for my family, I know what I used to pay not that long ago and now I'm paying a lot more. And one of the greatest lines in the sports like radio is that's the, you know, that's the price of fish at the market. We said that a million times. Yeah. We're going to play off. That's the cost of doing business. But what I mean by that is sometimes the show will be like, go get a big salmon from Costco and then like this in that a bag with tennis and I'm like, that's like $100 for one meal. Can I just go get us some great take off for any of the spots? And sometimes she's like, shoot, we're going to eat leftovers. And I'm like, well, let me get some hamburger. Me. Let me do some of this with that. We'll do something. You know, it's like wherever you're at at that current point and, you know, Kyle's sometimes Kyle is living la vida, loca, taco bell lifestyle. Oh, I was shocked to hear that you think you can get Quinn Miner's production out of a guy that you're paying a little bit less, but isn't like that. If I said that the extra 10 million times four years, could that go to a better spot in the roster to help us win, get closer to winning? Or is that truly the way you start to win by not only tying down guys who go in the open market and make a lot of money, but guys who are your own home grown guys, you drafted them, you developed them, that's a real win. That is a real win. So there's a lot of reasons to do it. And that's like I said in the end, paying guys like that is just more expensive than it used to be. Same thing with wide receivers right now. That's like court and Sutton saying all these guys, well, he thinks he's better than making quite literally, literally twice as much as him. So let's go to break. Oh, one last thing. Sorry. So do you think the Broncos dodged a bullet with this JJ McCarthy thing, JJ McCarthy now coming out and saying that he will not play a single down until they offer him the full, what is it? The full rookie contract. Like the Broncos got lucky in having Nick's fault to them instead of getting duped and going overboard for a guy like I would say nothing is on accident, Kyle. I would say that these things are talked about before the draft with the players, Broncos are going to JJ McCarthy and Bo next and both saying, okay, well, what's this going to look like financially? You're going to sign easy into terms and you know, fall into a slot or do you envision something else? Are you going to play a team ball here and kind of make it happen for us and do what's best for the team early? We're taking the chance on you. You're going to take the chance back on us and, you know, give us a chance to surround you with some good players, all that kind of stuff. Real quick. JJ McCarthy planning on holding out if he doesn't receive his entire signing bonus upfront. That was the situation. No one's ever done that.
