Good morning. It is Wednesday, July 17th, a second Amazon Prime Day today. And by the way, it's also National Hot Dog Day today and another hot and humid day near triple digits again today, chance of thunderstorms tonight, highs today in the 90s, a little bit cooler tomorrow, less humid, maybe some early morning showers highs in the eighties and then Friday is looking beautiful. Top stories, day two, the Republican National Convention yesterday, last night, former President Trump's former rivals, like Nikki Haley, who got a last-minute invite and said yes. I'll start by making one thing perfectly clear. Donald Trump has my strong endorsement period. And former opponent Ron DeSantis took the stage last night. Let's elect Republicans up and down the ballot and let's heed the call of our party's nominee to fight, fight, fight for these United States. And this was Marco Rubio last night. When President Trump was in the White House, Americans had more money and lower prices. Our borders were secure and our laws were enforced. Iran was broke. The Taliban stopped killing Americans and Putin didn't invade anyone. Vivek Wama Swami also spoke last night. Tonight, vice presidential nominee J.D. Vance will get his chance to speak. Meantime, J.D. Vance's movie, Hillbilly Elegy, soaring on both Netflix and Amazon. Something else surged yesterday, the Dow was up more than 740 points best in over a year. Lawyers for Karen Reid expected to file a motion to dismiss the more serious charges. Emmy nominations come out today. The show, The Bear, expected to dominate. A country singer, Ingrid Andres, who butchered the national anthem at the home run Derby the other night, is now apologizing. She says she was drunk. The American League won the All-Star Game last night five-three. How about the Red Sox? They signed David Ortiz on DiAngelo this week. And we've got pink tickets at 7-10 this morning. New kids tickets at 8-10 and a thousand bucks in summer cash at 9-10. Lisa Donovan, check the drive next.
