Tonight’s Episode Is My Podcast Series BrandonJaneauShow:Wrestling Life And On This Episode I’m Doing Another Top 10 List This Time My Top 10 Wrestling Matches Of 2024 So Far

Welcome to another episode of The Brangin' News Show, Wrestling in Life. As you know, I am Brangin' News, the hosts of Wrestling in Life. And like always, all podcast platforms everywhere. Brangin' News Show, social media, platforms, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook. And of course, YouTube channel, Brangin' News Show. That is where you can find all these Wrestling in Life episodes. All podcast platforms, even all my social media platforms, and of course, YouTube channel. So, I see that the top 10 wrestlers of 2024. So clearly, tonight, I gotta do my top 10 wrestling matches so far out of 2024. Again, this is just the matches I like so far out of 2024. Of course, I will be doing my, at the end of the year, 2024 list of both wrestlers and matches. I see that these matches will still be there at the end of the year, but we shall see. Y'all know how I do my top 10 list. I start from 10 to 1 and explain why I love both all 10 of these things. Why are all 10 of these matches on my list? Why are all 10 of these matches mean so much to me? So, I'll get into it. Starting at number 10. This match. This happened this past Saturday, but I still had to put it on my list. And that is, the men's money in the bank ladder match. Isn't it? I know it's early. I know it's premature. I get it. I understand. But so far, that is a great fucking match. And it probably would not be top any time soon. Those six men went out there and had a fucking classic. Drew McIntyre, of course, won the Money in the Bank briefcase, and everybody on social media started crying when it cashed it in and it was unsuccessful, but whatever. But you got new superstars that really showed up and showed out Andrade, who I've been saying for a while, needs to be more fucking advertised than WWE, come out a little haze who finally got a chance to shine and show what people, what he can really fucking do. You had, of course, favorites like Jay Uso and LA Knight in the match. You had a guy like Chad Gable who deserved to be in the match. And so the most part probably should have won the fucking match. I definitely had him as my winner. But for the most part, it was an incredible match up from all angles. I love that. And of course, the winner, Drew McIntyre, prolonged storyline that is perfect right now. I love the match, man. It was an amazing match. Crazy as hell. A couple of bumps in there. I love the reverse Spanish fly that Andrade gave to come a little haze. You had Chad Gable suplexing a ladder onto Andrade, like that shit just wild. And of course, the ending of the match, so about to close in, get the damn briefcase, finally give the fans what they want and get a little, little ladder thrown at him in his face by Drew McIntyre. That happened. Yeah. So, yeah, man. Money in the bank briefcase, man. It was fantastic. One of the best. And if you got a chance, go watch it. I don't think it's on YouTube just yet, but the damn show is on Peacock and got Peacock go watch it. Alright. Coming in at number nine. At this past year's WrestleMania 40, night. I want to say one. Might have been night one. Yeah, might have been night one. I think so. Gunther versus Sami Zayn, the night that Sami Zayn finally put in to Gunther's long standing reign as the Intercontinental Champion. Coming into this match, I didn't know if Sami was going to be Gunther. Nobody did. Nobody actually expected Sami to be Gunther. We were like, "Oh yeah, Sami's gonna lose Gunther and Gunther's gonna go on and then Gunther's gonna go do his own thing." But I actually like the fact Sami beat him. Because it's one of those swears that you don't see. Nobody expected Sami to be Gunther. Nobody expected that shit. We expected Sami to lose and move on. But the fact that Sami actually beat Gunther, he's the one that ended the reign, he was unexpected as fuck. But great storyteller. Sami got his ass one. But he won the match, he won the belt. I know people now want him to lose the belt so much. But I've always been a person that is like, if you beat the champion that long of a reign, I'm not saying you need to have a super long reign, but at least four fucking months. At least four to five months. Give the man a chance to build a storyline. And he's had amazing matches since then. But Gunther now is also a king of the reign. And he's going into SummerSlam and he will obviously be where I have a champion by the end of this year. So it all works out. It all worked out for me personally. I liked it. And it's an amazing fucking match. Probably one of the best matches on Night One outside of maybe the main event. Because it was the one that was the most unpredictable. It was predictable, but it wasn't predictable. Because the end it happened. So clearly we was like, Oh, shit, wait a minute, that happened that we didn't expect what the fuck. So, yeah. I went in number eight. An NXT Battleground. Roxanne Perez versus Jordan Grace. I said this when this match started. I said this before the match even happened. I said it when Jordan Grace came to NXT. If this is not the main event of Battleground, what the fuck is the point? This should have been the main event. I love this match. Not because it was a crossover promotion between WWE NXT and TNA. It was the fact that it was a different style that we had never seen so far on TV. And I like the fact that this was at a pay-per-view. And it was treated as such. It was treated as an actual pay-per-view match. And the fact that these women actually went out there and actually had a really good fucking match. I know a lot of people will probably be like, you really got this match on your list? Yeah, I actually really like this fucking match. Like I said, it created some intrigue and also some fucking doubt at some point. Because Jordan Grace is not somebody that you just go in and it's not like she's some player you know, some wrestler that you've never heard of. She comes from TNA. She was in the role of a mushi in the TNA champion. Like yeah man, I think that this was one of those matches. And then the ending was also kind of a little bit crazy. But at least it was something that we hadn't seen. And I like the match. And it also created more of a Roxanne Perez bubble in the chorus. The minor top 10 wrestlers list will be out before this. So you would know that Roxanne Perez is all my top 10 wrestlers list. So of course this match is one of reasons for why. So yeah. Coming in at number seven. Almost wish these two. But they're both women. And this is the women's elimination chamber match that happened at Perth Australia this past year. Which Becky Lynch won. I liked this elimination chamber. I thought it was one. I thought it was the best elimination chamber of the night. Becky won. But you had Bianca Belair. You had Liv Morgan, Tiffany Stratton, Naomi. I forgot the other one. I forgot the other one. Oh, she hasn't been on TV in a while. God damn it. Raquel Raquel Raquel Rodriguez. Yeah. But I like the match. I thought it was amazing. All six of these women went out there and did a job and killed it. The last three would it being Liv, Becky and Bianca. To even Tiffany Stratton get the biggest pop of the whole entire fucking, you know. On the match chamber. This storm. It was early shit here in the morning. Like it was like seven o'clock when it shit started. But this woke me to fuck right up. It was an amazing match. All six of these women clearly since then I mean Raquel hasn't been on TV, but she's dealing with an illness. But for the most part, all six of these, six of these women, five of these women have gone on and done amazing. So far this year, I mean, people can say whatever about Naomi, but she's at least in storylines. Tiffany Stratton is getting amazing pops and she just won the women's money in the bank. Which brings me to number six, which is the women's money in the bank laugh match. But Liv winning the world, which happened being a world champion Becky had left and came back to be world champion and Bianca being a taxing champion. So I love the elimination chamber, which moves me into six, which is the women's money in the bank ladder match. This shit was a car crash in half. Like it was, it was a car crash hurricane and turning it all together. It was destructive, crazy as shit. Like I said, I get it. Early shit. We probably not have this money in the bank briefcase matches on my list for this, this fast, this soon. But nothing's going to top at least too crazy as match that I've just basically seen Saturday. So far, this shit was fucking bunkers. Those women were not there fucking competed. They did everything under the fucking sun. At the same time, the driver that the EOS guy gave to Zoey Stark. Zoey Stark took so many fucking bumps in that fucking match. Oh my God. It was fucking nuts. Chelsea, Green, going through two tables from the fucking hype that he was there. Oh my God. Yeah, that fucking match was fucking nuts. Like, oh my God. I give all six of those women a fucking thing. Stills it a bit. Like that, that match was fucking crazy. Fucking nuts. But yeah, I give all six of those women that. So before I get into my top five, I got to recap it, of course. Come on in at number 10. There means money in the bank. Light a match. They're just having this bad Saturday. At number nine. Go with the vs. Amazon. For the Intercontinental Championship, the WrestleMania 40. At number eight. Rock Sam Perez, which is joined grace. For the NXT Women's Championship at Battle Round NXT. Number seven. The Women's Elimination Chamber match to determine who fights real Ripley at WrestleMania 40. At Parth Australia Elimination Chamber and at number six. Women's Money in the Bank match, which the winner is Tiffany Strive. So yeah, come on in at number five. Reaching the top five is an AEW's Revolution. No, AEW. What the hell is that? Was it a revolution? I think it was a revolution. AEW, it wasn't this past period, it was the period before that. Might have been Dynasty. AEW Dynasty. Yeah. AEW Dynasty will all spray versus Brian Davis. This was for Nobel. Just to prove who's the best. It sometimes matches like that. It's just perfect. Now of course, I don't like when they use Daniel Bryan's neck head region to sell a story. But either way it goes, man. This match was fucking fantastic because it's the ongoing storyline that Will All Spray Now cannot use the Tiger Driver to win matches. And so he's very cautious about using that move because of this match. I wish Daniel Bryan would have been out a little longer to sell it, but at the end of the day, you get what you get. But this match was fucking fantastic. I remember watching it when it happened. And I loved it. I loved the match. I thought it was amazing. AEW, like I said, AEW can put on 15 different matches, but I'm pretty sure all those matches are going to be fucking fantastic at some point. And this is one of those times. It works. Will All Spray deserves to be in the conversation of one of the greatest wrestlers of this era. And like I said, this is my top 10 wrestlers list is going to come out, so I need you to know Will All Spray is in my top 5 of wrestlers of 2024. The man is a fucking amazing wrestler. You cannot knock it. But yeah, this match was fucking fantastic. Go watch it. I don't know where you go watch it, but it's one of those matches. And number four, it is the WrestleMania 40, like one main event. And that is the bloodline of rock the rock in Roman Reigns versus Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins. 40 minutes of bloodline rules tag team action. And it was fucking fantastic. I can't match it. It was great. It was a great match. I hated how we got there and how it started. The rock using this goddamn power trying to just jump the fucking line. But we got what we got and it was fucking fantastic. For Seth Rollins to have a torn MCL in a partial terminusus and to put out a 40 minute match. I know it's a tag team match, but 40 fucking minutes. The rock, we ain't been in the ring in almost a decade. And then Cody and Roman having to retool themselves and get ready for the next fucking night to go into that match. To all go out there and have a... And Seth Rollins had to go the next night and also defend his title. To have 40 minutes of damn near incredible action. Like they did. I can't fucking match it, man. The rock's getting speared by Roman Reigns and literally creating the mirror. I'm like shit. It's like what? Roman just said they're like... I don't think you need to sell a deck match for Roman Reigns. Roman's like oh shit. Got a spirit of rock pinning Cody at the time. Just never paint Cody creating more of an obstacle for Cody the next night. It was awesome. Roman's experience set through the barricade. Like it was... Yeah. Yeah. Chef Chris. Come on in at number three. Cody Rose versus AJ Styles. I quit match for the WWE Undisputed title. Atch. Lash at the castle. A lot of people say the backlash match is more of their favorite. This was mine. I love this match. I thought it was fucking fantastic. Extremely incredible. One of the people who liked one, I kind of go against the other one. I'm just, I'm just, that's who I am. I love this match. Class of the castle, AJ Styles, Cody Rose. Yeah. You can't knock it. Can't knock it. I love this match. It was fantastic. The atmosphere of Glasgow, Scotland. And just it being fought. Literally the first five, ten minutes these dudes are literally outside in the fucking crowd. They're fighting all over the gorilla position. Like they're beating the living hell out of each other. It was an amazing, I quit match. Enough blood. It had blood in it. It wasn't too crazy to the point where it was like a fucking crimson mask or anything. It was, it was, it was exactly what we needed. AJ Styles, I mean, also creating another meme of AJ Styles getting hit with a chair and it's literally falling off the ropes and then onto a table, throw a table. It was amazing. A lot of people don't like the ending, which I fucking hate when people say they don't like the ending of something 'cause it's fucking stupid. But the man is literally handcuffed by the new hit and what still steps. What the fuck else would you have done? But quit in that moment. Come on now. But an amazing match. An amazing match. It's set off. What is happening right now, which is so low in the bloodline now, jumping back into the core, core of your old storyline, which is going to probably, which is going to probably into Roman Reigns coming back at time this time. So I can't knock it. And number two, I give AEW some more love, man, 'cause that number two, it is what just happened at Forbidden Door. And at Swerve Strickland, versus Will All Sporty, for the AEW here and there, but watching this motherfucking match, holy shit, AEW is amazing. They got some of the best wrestlers in the planet. And this match was a true defining factor of that. I love this match. It's fucking fantastic. I know it's number two right now. It might be number one by the end of the year. I don't know. I might watch this match a couple more times. If you two don't take it off, I'll probably watch it a couple more times. It's fucking fantastic. It's incredible. It's fucking incredible, man. Both men went out there, had a match. Now, of course, I am very critical of AEW and how they move sometimes, but I cannot knock it when they have classics like this. Yes, was it early to probably have this fucking match? You're damn right it was. But the results are the results, and it is what it is. And that is why I feel like there's not too many people that can sit there and get mad ahead of a result like this when you get a classic like that. I love the fact that both of these men went out there and had probably one of the best wrestling matches out there. Yes, it wasn't some cartoon anime shit. You're fucking right it was. Sort of strictly jumping off the top rope point of doing a double stump through the fucking chest of a will all spray tool of the announced table. And it didn't even fucking break. You know, uh, uh, didn't spell driving. This was fucking on a barricade hitting a couple of the, a couple of, uh, kicks to its face. Oh, this shit was incredible, man. You know, I see cutters from Will All Spray is fucking fantastic. I even got it from the top rope. Like, bro, this shit was fucking fantastic. It's one of the best matches you'll probably ever see on TV at a pay-per-view or just this year. Go watch it. If it's still on YouTube, go watch this match. You will not be disappointed. It's amazing. It's just not number one. Because like I just said, sometimes the stories, sometimes you be like this shit kind of stupid. Why would you, why would you do this? It's the same for number one. I don't like how we got there. But when we got number one on my list, I can't be mad to result. Because it is finally time to finish the story. At number one, it is Cody Rose, Oscar's Roman Reigns, WrestleMania night two, main event. The man finally got to finish his fucking story. The 20 minutes before the chaos started, you could have just ended it right in there because this was one of the best main events. They went out there and performed. Cody and Roman have an amazing chemistry. Let's just get this shit out the way. They have an amazing chemistry. Like I said, before the fucking chaos, this match was fucking fantastic. You didn't really need that much chaos, but happy you got it. Now, do I think some people should probably be out there for the rock? Yeah, I do. I think the glass would have broke and it would have popped the crowd. It would have broke the internet. But we got the undertaker, who is the last guard of the former WWE? And I'm cool with it. I'm cool with it. But this match was fucking fantastic. Even the ending of Roman hidden set with the chair and not Cody telling a story that has been told for a decade, that set will always be Roman's kryptonite, no matter what. He can be the tribal chief, but as long as set Rollins is breathing, he will never be the guy in the company because set Rollins will always have his number. And that story will always be told in the end of time as long as those two dudes are still in that company. So it was pro-ed injustice that Roman hit him to get back his revenge to quote unquote his revenge pretty much, right? But in all actuality, it actually doomed him because he cared so much about hitting set and getting back his revenge, that he gave no fuck about winning his title and keeping that rain going. Perfect story telling, which leads to Cody Rose finally finishing his story and winning the belt. The belt that has fallen to number one, the belt that, and he beats also one of Dusty's kids, the fable Dusty kids, he beats the top guy, the key person of Dusty kids. Roman ranks, he ends the reign of terror, the tribal chief, the bloodline, which has now created a new bloodline that needs to be dealt with. Storyteller, fantastic. So let's recap it, man, let's get through these lists again now. Number one, Cody Rose versus Roman Reigns WrestleMania night two, WrestleMania 40, night two, main event, Cody Rose finishes the story. Number two, Swerve Strickland versus Will All Spring Classic to say the least, A, AEW's Forbidden Door for the AEW World War Championship. And number three, Cody Rose versus AJ Styles, Undisputed WWE Championship. I quit match at class at the castle. Number four, the bloodline, the rock, Roman versus Cody Rose and Seth Rollins, winner. Get to determine the stipulation at WrestleMania night two, but that was WrestleMania night one's WrestleMania 40, night one's main event. Number five, Will All Spring versus Roman Danielson, who is truly the best at AEW's dynasty. And number six, the women's money in the bank. The women's money in the bank, a lot of match. And numbers at this past year's Money in the Bank, 2024 Money in the Bank. Number seven, Women's Elimination Chamber at Pertile Australia. Winner, face rear, Rip Lincoln for the World War Championship, number eight, Rock Tampa Raz versus Jordan Grace, NXT versus TNA's World War Champions. For the NXT Women's Championship. Number nine, Gunther versus Seth Rollins. Seth, I mean, Gunther versus Sami Zang. WrestleMania night one, WrestleMania 40, night one. Sami Zang is Gunther's reign. What the NXT got in the championship. And at number 10, also at the preview at this last Money in the Bank's. Is the men's Money in the Bank, a lot of match. My next up 10 list when it comes to wrestling life will be Kurt Angle. I've been writing some list down, so hopefully by this weekend, I will be giving you guys that list. Still got the debate coming. And my next wrestling life outside of the top 10 list that I'm doing will be Summerslam. And I probably will just, I'm still debating on the great American bash that NXT will be doing. But yeah, probably we'll do that too. But until then, this is wrestling life. We guys enjoy this list. And when this comes out, tell me you're the top 10 list of matches so far. Totally for it. Until next time, I am brand new. Peace. [BLANK_AUDIO]
