The Word of God in Proverbs 29-25, NIV says, "Fear of man will prove to be a snare, but whoever trusts in the Lord is kept safe." Back in the day, the devil convinced Eve that she wouldn't die if she ate the forbidden fruit, but he left out the fact that it would only delay her death. And today, the devil still uses the same tactic of deception, hiding us from the truth that God loves us, that God triumphs, that God is in control, and that God empowers us without an understanding of this truth. Many of us often experience fear in different aspects of our lives, jobs, relationships, sickness, and even the prospect of death. John, chapter 14, verse 27, NIV says, "Peace I leave with you, my peace I give you, I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. Do not let fear consume you and prevent you from moving forward. Instead, embrace challenges as opportunities for God to strengthen you. Hold on tight, keep your faith, and know that God is with you every step of the way. This should give you the courage to face any challenge." Isaiah, chapter 41, verse 10, NIV says, "So do not fear for I am with you. Do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. This is the promise made by God who is faithful, who is not slack concerning his promise, and who never fails one word of his promise. If the Lord is with us, who can be against us? Not even the devil. Take heart, my friend, for the one who is with you is greater than the one who is in the world. It is the devil who should be trembling in fear, not you. It is the devil who is terrified of the power of God in our lives. We are called to be courageous to Timothy, chapter 1, verse 7, "For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind." 1 Corinthians, chapter 16, verse 13, "Be on your guard, stand firm in the faith, be courageous, be strong. I urge you to be strong and courageous in the face of adversity. Rise up, my friends, and let your spirits soar with the power of God's love and strength." Look at the examples of bravery in the Bible. David showed great courage by defeating the giant Goliath with just a slinger stone. Shadrach, Meshach, and Abdenico showed bravery by refusing to bow down to the statue of King Nebuchadnezzar, even when threatened with death by being thrown into a fiery furnace. Gideon led a small group of men to defeat the Midianites, despite being vastly outnumbered. These were ordinary people, just like you and me, who chose to trust in God and take brave steps of faith. God has called us to do because we're afraid, but we must remember that God doesn't choose the most talented or complete person, but the one who believes in Him and is willing to be used by Him. Psalm chapter 3 verse 3, "But you, Lord, are a shield around me, my glory, the one who lifts my head high." Psalm 27 1, "The Lord is my light and my salvation. Whom shall I fear? The Lord is a stronghold of my life, of whom shall I be afraid. Let us be brave and trust in God's promises. In our darkest moments, we must remember that He is in control, and victory is on its way." As the Psalmist wrote in Psalm 23, "Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me. Let us be courageous and faithful, for God is always with us. Let us obey His commands and rely on His strength and power to face any challenge that comes our way. It is not easy to be brave, but with God by our side, we can overcome any fear. So let us draw closer to Him. Find that our fear begins to diminish, and our faith grows stronger. You are not exempted from challenges even when God is with you, but take heart. You have the strength and courage within you to conquer them. Trust in God's guidance, support and strength, and you will overcome anything that comes your way. Always keep in mind that God is with you, but the choice to be with Him is yours. Will you follow your own path or trust in God's plan for your life? The decision is yours to make, but remember that true fulfillment and happiness come from walking in step with the Creator who loves you unconditionally. Dear Heavenly Father, we are grateful for the assurance that you are our strength and that you are always by our side, guiding and helping us. Despite being the Almighty God, you choose to look at us who are imperfect and incomplete, with love and compassion, and guide us on the right path. We pray that you will help us to trust in you at all times and to respond courageously to your calling. Thank you for your promise to always be with us, to never abandon us or forsake us and to provide us with the power and strength we need to overcome challenges. We ask that you would protect us from the schemes of the devil who seeks to sow fear and doubt in our hearts and remind us that we are your beloved children. When we walk in your will, we have nothing to fear. We pray that you would give us the courage to step out in faith even when the road ahead appears uncertain or challenging. May we trust in your promises and plan for our lives, knowing that you work everything together for our good.
