[MUSIC] Now, from New York City to the world, it's Dominic Carter. >> And so tonight, Mr. Chairman, I stand here humbled. And I'm overwhelmed with gratitude to say, I officially accept your nomination to be Vice President of the United States of America. And welcome here live to Milwaukee, the RNC. As JD Vance, the first term senator of Ohio, steps into the national spotlight as Mr. Trump's running mate. >> Breaking news. >> But first we have some breaking news and it is major news. The New York Times is reporting as of this hour. Right now, that President Biden is, quote, more receptive to hearing please to step aside. The President apparently, according to the New York Times, President Biden has not given an indication that he's changing his mind about staying in the race, but is said to be more willing to listen to the case for bowing out CNN reporting, Nancy Pelosi privately told the President that polls show he cannot win and will take down the house. But the President pushed back on her assessment. You listen to this program, you know, I told you from the night of the debate that President Biden was not going to make it as the nominee. He's been in denial, but the reality is coming fast and it's not good for Mr. Biden. As the President has tested positive for COVID, tested positive for COVID. Senate Majority Leader Charles Schumer met with Mr. Biden over the weekend, apparently urging him to step aside. That is the constant drum beat. And so we don't know how that's going to play out as of right now. And in a few minutes and in a few minutes, we'll talk to the Congressman for Pennsylvania's ninth congressional district, Dan Muser, who was at the Trump rally, literally spoke minutes before the bullets started flying. We are live here at the RNC and Milwaukee. Let's go ahead and open up the phone lines, eight hundred eight four eight nine two two two now to Senator JD Vance stepping into the national spotlight. Listen as he was introduced by his wife. Good evening. When I was asked to introduce my husband, JD Vance to all of you, I was at a loss. What could I say that hasn't already been said before? After all, the man was already the subject of a Ron Howard movie. JD has shared much of his life through his own eloquent words. In his book, Hillbilly Elegy, during his Senate campaign, and now as a sitting United State Senator, it occurred to me that there was only one thing to do, to explain from the heart why I love and admire JD and stand here beside him today and why he will make a great vice president of the United States. I met JD in law school when he was fresh out of Ohio State, which he attended with the support of the GI Bill. We were friends first because, I mean, who wouldn't want to be friends with JD? He was then, as now, the most interesting person I knew, a working class guy who had overcome childhood traumas that I could barely fathom to end up at Yale Law School, a tough Marine who had served in Iraq, but his idea of a good time was playing with puppies. And just minutes into his remarks that ended just a short time ago, Mr. Vance, Senator Vance praised President Trump. For the last eight years, President Trump has given everything he has to fight for the people of our country. He didn't need politics, but the country needed him. Now, prior to running for president, he was one of the most successful businessmen in the world. He had everything anyone could ever want in a life, and yet, instead of choosing the easy path, he chose to endure abuse, slander, and persecution, and he did it because he loves this country. And the traditional role of number two on the ticket is to be the attack dog, and Senator Vance gave every indication that he has no problem doing that as he went after President Biden. When I was in the fourth grade, a career politician by the name of Joe Biden supported NAFTA, a bad trade deal that sent countless good jobs to Mexico. When I was a sophomore at high school, that same career politician named Joe Biden gave China a sweetheart trade deal that destroyed even more good American middle-class manufacturing jobs. When I was a senior at high school, that same Joe Biden supported the disastrous invasion of Iraq. And at each step of the way, in small towns like mine in Ohio, or next door in Pennsylvania or Michigan, in states all across our country, jobs were sent overseas, and our children were sent to war. And so coming up at the bottom of the hour, we will chat with the congressmen for Pennsylvania's ninth district, Dan Muser, who was there at the Trump rally Saturday. But in the meantime, in the meantime, live here in Milwaukee, at day three completion of the RNC, we are taking your telephone calls, Silas, line two, Staten Island, New York, what's on your mind? Yeah, I didn't know anything about dirty events, but I'm glad he's there making the points he's making, and he understands what it is for drugs to be in your life, something that the Democrat Party is still letting come into this country. And I'm also glad that his mother got off it, but not only with the drugs coming in, it's ruined the lives of many Americans. And I'm glad he doesn't take drugs, I'm glad that Donald Trump stays away from, stayed away from drugs and advice. And I also want to make the point that the Democrats greed and failure has led all of this into the country, including letting all of these immigrants come in with that woman said about her son being murdered. These immigrants have murdered people from 80 to 12 years old, immigrants that they let in here because of their stupidity and greed, and that firefighter, that firefighter is dead because their failure, wanting a woman to be running things instead of looking for the best person to run things and to run the CIA and the Secret Service. So once again, their failure. And I hope that everyone, Democrat, Republican and independent never puts another Democrat in office. I'm begging everyone, women, every minority, understand that if you put stupid and incompetent people in an office, this is what you're going to get. Well, Simon, thank you for the call. Folks, we're taking your calls from around the country, 808489222, 808489222, recapping the big headlines. And I got to tell you, folks, this process that's playing out, it seems inevitable that we are along the path right now to Mr. Biden getting out of the race, right? Next step, when he, when he said that if a doctor gives him a, tells him a condition that he has, that's not conducive to running that he'll bow out. That's the first step. The second step, he's tested positive for a COVID tonight, not looking good as he got off the, the, the White House helicopter arriving at his home in Delaware. Third step, the New York Times reporting right now that Mr. Biden is called more receptive to hearing pleas to step aside, that the president has given no indication, no indication that he's changing his mind about staying in the race, but is said to be more willing to listen to the case for bowing out. Also CNN reporting now, Nancy Pelosi privately told Biden polls show he cannot win and will take down the house. But the president pushed back on that. Let's go to Susan in New York. Good morning, Susan. Welcome here live to Milwaukee. Well, I just want to say I was blown away, I, I really didn't, I don't think JD a couple of times. He, he seemed kind of, you know, super serious and tonight, I mean, he just seems so like the ball. And so relatable. And I believe that he will easily be appealing to, you know, across the voters, cross everything. And I don't even see what they can really, I should have come up with something, but. Oh, they're going to hammer him on, they're going to hammer him on his abortion position. They're going to hammer him on his negative comments. He's made in the past about Trump. But I do agree with you to this regard, Susan. He is very likable. Like myself, he was raised by his grandmother. I've had drug addiction in my family, my grandfather. He's had drug addiction in his family, his mother, who's now 10 years clean. That's a story that resonates and connects with America, Susan. Absolutely. Can I say one more thing? Go ahead. Yeah. Yeah. There's this new strain of COVID again, and it's called Trump fans, 47. So I think that that maybe what Joe Biden has come down with and, you know, Godspeed. Hmm. Was that a joke, Susan? Because I didn't catch it. Was that a joke? No, I just was making up like a new possible strain of COVID that's like, you know, getting much bigger. Right. It felt kind of flat, but, but Susan, thank you. Thank you so much for the call. We are going to take a break when we come back day three of the RNC is now over. We are coming back live here to Milwaukee and coming up in about 10 minutes. We'll talk to Congressman Dan Muser of Pennsylvania's ninth congressional district. He was there Saturday right before and spoke on the stage minutes before the bullets started to fly. We will talk to Congressman Dan Muser of Pennsylvania's ninth congressional district. He was there Saturday and spoke minutes before the bullets started flying. He will give me a full recount of exactly what happened. In the meantime, we're taking your calls live here in Milwaukee. Let's go to Gracie in Rockland County, New York. Good morning. Gracie. What's on your mind? Is this Biden is going to after this production number is over is going to back out for whatever reason. The Democrat hierarchy is going to make him an author. He and the family cannot refuse. It's already been done. That's my opinion. It's already been done. We're in the process of seeing him get out of the race. But go ahead. Yeah, definitely. I mean, I wonder which producer they brought in from Hollywood to orchestrate this. But also, I don't care who they put up to represent the party. The party's platform, if they're going to keep doing Biden's agenda, I'm against that agenda. So therefore, I don't care they whom they put up. Therefore, the Republicans have to say Biden and others who follow his policy until he gets out to make the people realize we are in a mess. I listen tonight to everything. I'm home in New York now. And I listened and I enjoyed it. And I think he's amazing JD Vance or the whole show was remarkable. It really was a production number. But everyone, the parents that most their children in Afghanistan, the granddaughter, and JD Vance was remarkable. He is the embodiment of the American dream and he could touch so many different groups of people that I hope he'll help Trump a lot. And then and then Trump will get elected and maybe he'll have another eight years and God bless America. Those are my thoughts, Dominic. Well, Trump is definitely going to be elected. There's no doubt about that. Gracie, thank you for the call. Robert in Philadelphia. Good morning. Welcome live here to Milwaukee. Hey, Dominic, guys, always just good to talk to you. I was calling mostly about JD Vance because I remember, you know, just a few last few days are playing things that he said about Trump back in 2016, right. And I harken back to when Bush called Reagan at Voodoo Economics and Kamala said to Joe, I was that little girl and how they later became a vice president. But this was stuck out for me for a reason. I thought about it and it occurred to me, Dom. And maybe the other callers can back me up. I wasn't what you would call a big fan of Trump back in 2016. I think that a lot of us weren't sure about him and were thinking that he could have been like a very catastrophic rhino, but we voted for him mostly to keep Hillary out of office. All of the support that Trump has now, all of the depth and breadth of that support was earned by what he did once he got into office. Now I've never seen that before. I had high expectations for Reagan and he met them, but I honestly didn't know what to think about Trump, but he exceeded my wildest hopes so that he's earned his support. Well, fair enough, fair enough, Robert, and I hear you. And you made a statement that's accurate there. He's earned the support. We are coming back live to Milwaukee Day 3 of the RNC complete. I will be right back. Now from New York City to the world, it's Dominic Carter. And so in a few minutes, we'll be going to your telephone calls, 800-848-9222. But we are joined by someone who was on my earlier program, and that is the Congressman for the 9th District in Pennsylvania, Dan Muzer. You literally Congressman just came out from a briefing with the Secret Service Director and the FBI. What can you tell us as at this point? Yeah, we just were hearing from on a congressional call, which I can disclose some of the information with Director Ray and as well as Director Cheetah, whose heads up the Secret Service. They were going through the timeline as to what occurred, much of which I think I knew and most of us knew. And then they were going into what investigations and what they found out thus far. Cheetah mentioned that there was clearly a lapse in security and truly a failure to fully and properly protect the former president. So she admitted that they have a zero fail mission, as you'd imagine. And that was not what their result was, as we well know. And they're looking forward to cooperating with Congress and being very transparent to the American people. In fact, I'm quoting, that's what she said. The attack was classified as an assassination. Joe Biden recently had trouble maybe stating that it was an assassination, but they've officially classified it as an attempted assassination. And Director Ray also went on to say of some of the, what they were doing regarding searching the shooter's cell phones, his home, performed over 200 interviews. They found explosives in his automobile, which they don't think were live, could explode. And the fact that he bought ammo just a couple of days after the president announced he was going to be at the rally, quite a bit of ammo. So Congressman Muser, it is confirmed that the suspect had explosives in the vehicle and in the home. I don't know about the home, but I do know in the automobile right. And they also stated that they at this point in time have no evidence at all that there were others involved. There's no evidence indicating others were involved. So this was a lone individual who was sick mentally based on what the Secret Service Director just told you and other members of Congress and the FBI Director. Now you joined me and I was so thankful for it for my earlier program. Before we get into day three is now over the RNC tomorrow night. I should say later on tonight belongs to Mr. Trump. You were at the actual rally when this happened. Take me through that one more time, please, Congressman. Well, sure. Like I had mentioned, it really began as a typical rally. We did our pre-rally speeches, myself, Senate candidate Dave McCormick, Representative Jim Mike Kelly. Wait a minute, Congressman. So before Mr. Trump spoke, you were actually on the same stage that he would later take? Yes. Which means that if the sniper decided to fire early, you and every other potential, every speaker could have been a potential target. Well, I guess so. You could certainly put it that way and that is the case. And well, when the president came out, you know, he was great. I mean, we saw him beforehand, spent a couple of minutes with him. He does pictures and all he was in great spirits. He jokes around. He's just a good person to be around. And then he comes out after about seven minutes of speaking. And you know, it's interesting, Dominic, I don't know about interesting, but while you take it for what it is, he gestured to Dave McCormick. Hey, we got Dave McCormick here. Dave is the best. Going to be a great U.S. Senator. Dave, why don't you come up on the stage? And then he stopped, Dave. He said, you know what? Let's have you up a little bit later. And no more than 60 seconds later is when the firing began. And again, as we now will know, who've been paying any attention to it, fortunately the president turned his head to look at the images that he was showing of a graph of the massive level of illegal immigration that took, that has taken place under Biden versus when he was in office. And the president just turned his head to look at it just as the third shot whizzed by his head and hit his ear, as we now know, within a quarter inch or less, two centimeters of taking the president's former president, likely the future president's life. So that's how close all of this was. And as I mentioned, very tragically, we lost a wonderful Pennsylvania by the name of Corey Campanatori, who lives out that out in the western side of the state. His daughter and his wife was there. Corey gave his life protecting, hovering over, shielding his daughter and his wife. And very, very sadly, he was he was sitting ahead. And I will tell you this. He was no more than if he was 20 feet behind us, that was a lot. But he was raised. He was about six feet up in the bleachers. So Congressman, does it surprise you that it has been announced Mr. Trump is going to go to the former firefighters funeral room? It doesn't surprise me at all. That's who the president is. He could probably go and raise a million dollars somewhere or something else in that time frame. Yeah. But instead, President Trump knows what's important. The people are important. A gentleman who's attending his rally that lost his life to come there and support him. President's going to be there to support him. Congressman, I'm only going to take a minute or two more of your time, but because we really do appreciate you leaving this FBI briefing. I know you got to get back and other things and so on. But day three is now over of the RNC. How do you feel a convention is going thus far? What is stood out to you? Congressman Musa. Yeah, well, I'll tell you Dominic, just this whole uniting theme of ours and our platform that we all have gotten behind. And a big tent. Not just traditional voters, but reaching out to blacks, to Latinos, to union members. Go ahead. Yeah. Yeah. You're saying it. Right. Moms, people with sorrowful stories of loss of children due to the fentanyl epidemic and as well as just, you know, fabulous stories of how well people were doing economically under the Trump administration versus today. So it's really, it's really, and as you said, a big tent. It's not just about uniting our party. It's about trying to unite America behind where we all need to go, not ideologically, but be focused on outcomes, not ideology. And that's what President Trump brings to the table. He knows the pro-growth initiatives. He knows how to strengthen our national security. He knows how to energize our energy industry. And I call Biden's policy, gas backwards, Pennsylvania is an energy state and he's doing his best to cripple it. So all these positive things are occurring. And I'll also just add this, when President Trump put his fist up, he had that strength of character, that leadership instinct to put his fist up and let everybody, you know what? We're going to fight. We're going to be okay. In fact, we're going to be better. Okay. That we have here at this convention. Congressman Dan Muser of the ninth district of Pennsylvania, you are remarkable. It scares me that you were at the rally yourself. What could have happened to you, the impact on your family, the fact that you had to witness all of this up close, Congressman. And I just wish you well. I really do. Thank you so much for joining us. You're a good man, Dominic. Thanks very much. 1-800-84-8922-2, day three of the RNC here in Milwaukee is over. The final night coming up tonight where Mr. Trump will accept the nomination and this will be the first time that we hear from him in public since the shooting, the assassination attempt on Saturday. And so tonight, tonight, tonight, belonged to his number two on the ticket, Ohio Senator J.D. Vance. Vance calls for a big tent for the GOP. Here's a bit of what he had to say. I want to respond to his call for unity myself. We have a big tent in this party on everything from national security to economic policy. But my message to you, my fellow Republicans, is we love this country and we are united to win. Now, I think our disagreements actually make us stronger. That's what I've learned in my time in the United States Senate, where sometimes I persuade my colleagues and sometimes they persuade me. My message to my fellow Americans, those watching from across the country, is shouldn't we be governed by a party that is unafraid to debate ideas and come to the best solution? That's the Republican Party of the next four years, united in our love for this country and committed to free speech and the open exchange of ideas. And so tonight, Mr. Chairman, I stand here humbled and I'm overwhelmed with gratitude to say I officially accept your nomination to be Vice President of the United States of America. And an exciting moment for Mr. Vance, his wife, his family, his mother, who has been, has kicked drugs for 10 years. He was raised by his grandmother, a remarkable, remarkable story, veteran, Marine College, law school, back to your telephone calls. Let's go to Joe in Manhattan, line two, good morning, Joe, welcome live here to Milwaukee. Great job, Dominic. Great job. You're doing it in Wisconsin. Dominic, excellent. Thank you. Thank you. I got a question. I got a question. Basically, no, I was up to the rally in the Bronx back in May. I can't believe it said that long ago. But the security with the NYPD and the Secret Service was out there in full force. I mean, they had four lines to get to the tent, to get into the area that where President Trump would be speaking at. And the camera crew of force was in the background, building everything. They had drones in the air. And what did he have? I was wrong. I was asking the back with the media because I got there like at the 3.34, almost four o'clock in the afternoon. And I thought that was being early. And I'm like, my God, the why was never running. But the whole thing is that do you think now, based upon what happens to the next president, which I hope the God he is, you know, I mean, all things is what would happen. Do you think now with Biden, basically on his way out, because he's not going to make an... There's no basically in it. The go ahead. But it's a prop up, Kamala, and whoever else is going to run, but the whole thing is that what do you think is going to happen to this country as far as between now and November? I mean, that's the whole thing, because that's the litmus test, because you can have anything to give it out for. So when you act, that's a very broad question. When you say what's going to happen in this country between now and November, I don't know exactly what you mean. I mean, we're up to get a little... a little fourth flag attack, maybe a post mic club attack, or a Vegas shooting, or something like that, or worse or worse, the coverage that they let in this country over the Biden's watch, activate, and do so. There is nothing. Especially here. There is nothing. There is nothing that's going to stop Trump from winning this election. It's over. Of course. There was no primary for Trump. There was no general election for Trump. The Republicans couldn't compete with him. The Democrats can't compete with him. It's going to be a joke. What the Democrats are hoping is that Kamala Harris is going to get a record black turnout. They're hoping that women will vote for her. It's not going to work with all due respect to the Senator and Vice President from California. She's a complete joke. Exactly. There's nothing, Joe, that's going to stop Trump from taking the oath of office unless it's the act of God. But, but, but, but, but, that's not the, the, the, the, the law is not taking the oath. I'm just saying, between now and then, what happens to me is nothing, there is nothing that can stop him, his campaign. What I don't understand what you're saying, you're trying to ask me, what you're really trying to ask me, my take on it, is that what if something is created, what if A happens, what if it, it doesn't matter, he's going to win, period. It's over. Yes. Yes, but I'm just saying, what's going to happen within, within, within, I'm, I'm, I'm, I just, I support Trump, I vote him 40, 16, 20, 20, 20, everything else, 20, 24, four, but the whole thing is that what's going to happen if within the party, the Democrats to get panicky, even worse. I just told you, I got to take a break, and Joe, I got to take a break. I answered the question three times. You keep trying to give me a hypothetical that the Democrats are going to come up with something to win the election. There is nothing they can do. It is over. You can put a fork in it, the fat lady is singing, the elect, it's just a matter of time. Period. Dominic Carter with you live here in Milwaukee, time for a break coming right back with more of your telephone calls, this is Dominic Carter, now from New York City to the world. It's Dominic Carter and we are back live here in Milwaukee at the site of the RNC. One more day to go, which is tonight, it's been a very smooth convention, no controversy, diversity, wide range of speakers focusing on focusing on crime, the economy. You name the issues, immigration on and on and on. Mr. Trump, this will make three out of four days that he was present, that is in terms of coming up tonight. And even when you look at JD Vance as number two, he has a remarkable life story, remarkable that will resonate. And when you're a political reporter, which is my foundation, you notice everything, folks, going to help the ticket tremendously that Mr. Vance's wife happens to be a minority, an Indian American woman. And she was very photogenic, very vocal, very articulate. Remember, she's gone from being the wife of her first term senator to national exposure tonight. And she did so flawlessly, we're going to go back to your telephone calls, but I want you to hear a bit of how she introduced her husband tonight. I met JD in law school when he was fresh out of Ohio State, which he attended with the support of the GI Bill. We were friends first because, I mean, who wouldn't want to be friends with JD? He was then, as now, the most interesting person I knew, a working class guy who had overcome childhood traumas that I could barely fathom to end up at Yale Law School, a tough marine who had served in Iraq, but whose idea of a good time was playing with puppies and watching the movie babe. The most determined person I knew with one overriding ambition, to become a husband and a father, and to build the kind of tight knit family that he had longed for as a child. Amazing. The job that she did. Let's go back to your calls. Mark online to good morning, Mark, welcome live here to Milwaukee. What's on your mind? Good morning, Dominic. I just want to say you were your expert analysis, your experience, everything you've been behind Trump. I told this shot, you've navigated the entire time when all the legal proceedings and everything else was bunching up. You just kept saying, this is, this is, he's going to be elected. He's going to be elected. And now everything is starting to be in a rear view mirror, but you were nailed it. You were right on. Well, thank you, Mark, but you know what's going to happen. Just like what happened in 2016, all of these million dollar pundits are going to say, I told you that the criminal cases would not amount to anything. I told you that he was going to be elected revisionist history. All you had to do, Mark is really look at all of this stuff. The cases are paper, then they're garbage. And when you look at the personality of a Trump, whether you like the man or not, there is no stopping him. The first genius move during the campaign, when he said, why would I debate my Republican opponents? He was, I told you, folks, he was 8,000% correct. They're not on his stage. Why would he put them on the same stage as him? Yes, he'll debate Biden and look what happened when he debated Biden. By by Mr. President, Mark, you got the final word here. Well, that, no, that was it was a very good move. And like I say, he, he, like you said, he's going to be in the White House. So thank you very much, Dominic. Thank you, Mark. No doubt about it. You're in New Jersey. Good morning, Peter. Welcome live here to Milwaukee at the RNC. Hey, you're Dominic, thanks for taking my call. I'm just hearing, you know, the usual, you know, media, you had to get channeled forward to watch the, the, the convention. So, you know, I was watching and, and right away, they're interrupting and saying what you're supposed to think. And then they, they said about Vance, you know, pointing out the deficiencies of the, the Democrats and Biden, of course, all the things he's done. I mean, Afghanistan, there's so many things, it's hard to mention them all. So he was talking about that. Right away, he said, okay, it looks like the gloves are off and no more, you know, nice talk or whatever they put it and there's now a tack edge. Right. So I'm glad that Peter, I just have to step in because we're completely out of time. Here's my advice with all due respect to my colleagues, don't pay attention to those fools. Nine out of 10 don't know what they are talking about, are talking about the edges, talking heads on TV that are pretty. We'll see you again same time, same station tomorrow. How dangerous is it to unwrap a burger at 40 miles per hour? Or so then you think, in a little over two seconds, your car can travel slightly more than 117 feet, which is the same length as 20 bicycles. Anything that distracts you while driving is dangerous. That's why driving while texting can be deadly too. So put it down, it can wait. Don't drive distracted, shift into safe, a message from the Colorado Department of Transportation.
