Now, from New York City to the world, it's Dominic Carter. And good morning and happy Fourth of July. Dominic Carter here with you this morning. Democratic governors are rallying around President Biden, at least publicly, after meeting with him at the White House. The slogan, it seems, is he's in it to win it, but folks, it's not going to work. Too much damage has been done. President Biden is going to be forced one way or the other to drop out of the race. At an event earlier in the day, the President literally read from two teleprompters at his only public event of the day before trying to reassure the governors he's fit for a second term. Boy, the talk of Kamala Harris seems to be on the increase. In fact, the White House spokeswoman at one point, misspeaking, stating President Kamala Harris is the future of the Democratic Party. That is according to the White House. But guess what? As expected, Trump is widening his lead over Biden after the President's debate performance. That's not based on one survey, but based on new polls and Michelle Obama leads all potential Biden replacements. And according to a poll with beat Trump by double digits, I don't buy that for one minute. Not for one minute. The former First Lady who has never expressed any desire to run for office would easily beat former President Donald Trump in a hit to hit match up according to a new poll. The only hypothetical Democratic successor to President Biden to do so, but folks, she is not running an argument that she might is ridiculous. It's not going to happen. And everybody looks good when you're on the outside looking in, but wait until she has to go toe to toe with Trump. Those poll numbers will change and change drastically. A Reuters survey released Tuesday, found that Michelle Obama, who 60 years old with Trump 78, the former president by an 11 percentage points 50 to 39 among registered voters. Does anybody with a straight face believe that? And so let's go back to the lead story. President Biden, a lot is unfolding on hourly basis as it relates to damage control mode at the White House. And that's why I'm so glad to be joining you live right now. Biden urging the nation's Democratic governors to stand by him at a more than hour long meeting. But most of the 10 governors who attended in person did not vouch for him afterwards on the White House driveway, including four of the Democrats top possible replacements for Biden. Let's go ahead and open up the phone lines. 800-848-9222. Listen to this, folks. This is Governor Tim Walls of Minnesota, Governor Wes Moore of Maryland and Governor Kathy Hochl of New York. Take a listen to how they are engaging in damage control mode. Well, is he taking roles? Yes, for office. Three and a half years of delivering for us going through what we've all been through. None of us are denying. Thursday night was a bad performance. It was a bad kit, if you will, on that. But it doesn't impact what I believe is delivering. It was a great conversation with the president, the vice president, because it was honest. It was candid. I think that we always believe that when you love someone you tell them the truth. And I think we came in and we were honest about the feedback that we were getting. We were honest about the concerns that we were hearing from people. And we were also honest about the fact that as the president continued to tell us and show us that he was all in, that we said that we would stand with him. Because as Governor Walls said, the president has always had our backs. We're going to have his back as well. Because the results that we've been able to see under this administration have been undeniable in all of our individual states. Representing states like New York and all across America, we came together tonight to listen to President Biden. Tell us in his own words what his plans were. I'm here to tell you today, President Joe Biden is in it to win it. And all of us said we pledged our support to him because the states could not be higher. In it to win it, that's the slogan, but it might as well be a dollar and a dream. That's the odds of President Biden actually staying in this race and winning the White House. 800 again, 80848 9222. For example, listen to Congressman Tim Ryan of Ohio. He says, and this would be a disaster if Democrats put Kamala Harris at the top of the ticket. He says this is Congressman Tim Ryan of Ohio that Vice President Kamala Harris right now should replace Biden. Take a listen. I love him. But somebody I think like Kamala Harris, I think would be in that position. Trump's rear end in a debate. We've got the choice issue hanging out there. There's so much at stake in this election for women especially. Not going to happen. Not going to happen. And what I mean by not going to happen. Kamala Harris would beat. Are we serious? Are we serious? Kamala Harris would beat President Trump. She is polling right now at this hour better than Biden. But she still loses to Trump. The skepticism among Democrats as it relates to Biden is out in full public view. I want you to listen to Congressman Jerry Connolly of Virginia. He is unsure on Biden and he's known him for a very long time. Listen to this folks. I haven't heard a thing from the White House, not a thing since the debate. And I represent a member of the Congressional delegation to a critical state for Joe Biden, Virginia. I think most of my colleagues like myself are processing what happened. And we don't want to make decisions in haste or in panic. Joe Biden is a consequential president. He's been a friend of mine. And in fact, I worked for him for 10 years. I've known him for 45. I'm not going to jettison Joe Biden based on a 90 minute debate. But I do want to be reassured that Joe Biden is capable of doing the job, wants to do the job, and that he can reassure the public to both of those things. Don't want to make decisions in haste. You just heard Congressman Jerry Connolly of Virginia. It's way too late for that. Way too late for that. My contention. My point. The countdown has begun. It's going to be a big weekend for Biden. This is his last stand. The interview with George Stephanopoulos, ABC, on the campaign trail this weekend. If anything else happens, like the debate, it's over. It's over. Let's start with your telephone calls. Let's begin this morning with Kevin in New Jersey. Good morning, Kevin. What's on your mind? Hello. Good morning, Dominic. I was called. I mean, yeah, I was listening to your show earlier today as well as today tonight. I'm sorry. I think you do a pretty good job. Fantastic job. Everybody at W.A.B.C. and I just listened to the callers, but the point that I was making. I think that Joe Biden is not going to be the running presidential candidate. I believe it's going to be Governor Westmore Maryland. And also a year ago, they was doing like a survey about the rain, the rock Johnson. I also think like it's going to be somebody that's nobody. Everybody's saying Michelle Obama and you know, even they come from New Jersey. And I think they tried with Cory Booker, so they're going to definitely play the person, the color card. So a Cory Booker was an absolute failure. So they can't play him no more. But Governor Westmore, even with that bridge collapse, I think he kind of, you know, was, that was like his shining moment. And also, I think Trump to combat that, I think his running mate, everybody's saying the Doug Bergum and all that. I don't think it's going to be him. I think it's going to be the North Carolina lieutenant governor. I can't think of his name right now, but he's a black guy from North Carolina, the lieutenant governor. I can't think of his name, but I think that's who Donald Trump is going to choose. Somebody that everybody, not least expecting, but that was the point I wanted to make. Well, thank you for your perspective, Kevin. And thank you for being a listener to the program. It's not going to be Westmore. Westmore is brand new to politics, the brand new governor of Maryland. He's a he's a face for the future, but his time is not right now. He's not the next Obama, if you will, even though Democrats would like to think so. Trump is definitely going to do something out the box. Trump is engaging in an aggressive courting of communities of color. And it might be Tim Scott on the ticket or Marco Rubio, but it will be the senator from Florida, but it will be something that makes history. And he's going to win. He's going, he's in this to win this Trump and there's nothing the Democrats can do. Kevin, thank you for the call. Let's go to Alex, line one Brooklyn, New York. Alex, what's on your mind? Hey, good morning, Dominic. Thanks for taking the call. I got two things. I think number one about Kamala Harris. It's really difficult for them as much as they don't really want to pick her to be the nominee because she's very unpopular and she would do a pretty bad job beating Trump herself. I think they're contemplating whether they should take her or not because she's the vice president and she's a black woman, so you've got the race issue, and also because she has very possibly access to the campaign money, whereas other people that they would take a dozen. But the only way that they could go forward with Kamala Harris without really losing the selection and having any chances if they take a VP pick for her, someone that's very popular with a Democratic voters. I don't know who that would be, and they make that person the face of the campaign, and that person's out there every day, and the voters that are voting are really voting for Kamala also, but it's more that they're coming out for the vice presidential pick. Well, Alex, thank you for the call. Number one, folks never turn out for number two on the ticket. Superman or the Pope himself as number two behind Kamala Harris could not pull this off. The Democrats have a major problem. You can't bypass her, and also, as Alex just mentioned, the money issue in terms of what she would inherit if she's the nominee. But I will state this, as I said before. You might as well swear Trump in right now. That's the bottom line, and for a goal, all of this. We have got to take a break when we come back. More of your telephone calls. We will be right back. This is Dominic Carter. Janine Pirro here for Colonial Metal Screw. [MUSIC] Now, from New York City to the world, it's Dominic Carter. It was a great conversation with the president, the vice president, because it was honest. It was candid. I think that we always believe that when you love someone, you tell them the truth. And I think we came in and we were honest about the feedback that we were getting. We were honest about the concerns that we were hearing from people. And we were also honest about the fact that as the president continued to tell us and show us that he was all in, that we said that we would stand with him. Because as Governor Walt said, the president has always had our backs. We're going to have his back as well. Because the results that we've been able to see under this administration have been undeniable in all of our individual states. >> One of the last callers in the last segment mentioned the possibility of Westmore, the voice you just heard, the governor of Maryland becoming the Democratic nominee. That's not going to happen. He's too brand new. In a moment, we'll let you hear the leaked tape, not known who recorded it. We're going to let you hear the tape of former President Trump, referring to Biden as a quote, broken down pal of crap. And so again, this is a leaked tape. And he says that Kamala Harris, the vice president, would do better. But basically that she's a joke. And I think it's an assessment that she'd be so bad for the country. It's an assessment that America agrees with what Mr. Trump had to say. Take a listen to this folks. >> You gave me so much. How did I do with the debate the other night? >> Amazing. >> You're all broken down pal of crap. >> Yeah. >> He just quit. >> You know, he's quit in the rest. >> Is that right? >> Yep. >> I got him out of it. And that means we have Kamala. I think she's going to be better. She's so bad. She's so pathetic. >> It's so nice. >> It's just so f***ing bad. So f***ing bad. >> Just kidding, man. >> But can you imagine that guy with the dealing with Putin and the president of China, who's a fierce person, he's a fierce man. >> Right. >> A very tough guy. And they see him. They call him. He can't. They just announce he's probably quitting. >> Thank you. >> Very good. >> We keep knocking on that. >> Interesting. As I've been saying for days, folks, it's not if it's when. Biden is out of this race. They can try all they want to to spend and be on life support. It's over for Nito. Put a f*** in the candidacy. It is done. Period. Jacqueline and Brooklyn. Good morning, Jacqueline. What's on your mind? >> Good morning, Dominic. I want to pose a question to you. Do you think it's any coincidence that Joe Biden and his administrative staff are meeting with governors of various states since the state executives appoint the electors chosen in the general election? >> No. I think that he's trying to rally the troops. And I believe this was pre-arranged to meet with the Democratic governors. And I think it's a matter of Jacqueline, honestly, of the timing. But what I find interesting is that most of the governors that were present, the Democratic governors, did not inform which are being mentioned as replacements to Biden. They did not come out and address the media. Your final thought before I take a break here, Jacqueline. >> I think over the next several days and throughout the weekend, they're also going to be meeting with the governors of the six most important states to determine the election. Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin, Arizona, Georgia, and Nevada. >> Well, it's going to be interesting, Jacqueline. Thank you for the call. Time for a break. Don't go anywhere, folks. Happy Fourth of July. >> I will be right back with more of your telephone calls. [MUSIC] [MUSIC] >> Now, from New York City to the world, it's Dominic Carter. [MUSIC] >> Representing states like New York and all across America. We came together tonight to listen to President Biden. Tell us in his own words what his plans were. I'm here to tell you today, President Joe Biden is in it to win it. And all of us said we pledged our support to him because the states could not be higher. >> Sounds great. New York Governor Kathy Hocho, but it's not going to happen. The only question as of right now is when? When does Biden, the President of the United States, announce that he is giving up his re-election campaign? That is the only thing that's up in the air as of right now. He cannot survive this onslaught of criticism from even within his own party. You have centrist Democrats and congressional races and incumbents across the country where it's being exposed right now. That Mr. Biden does not have political coattails and they will go down in flames with him if he continues to be the nominee. And that cannot happen. Again, I'm about to go to Barbara on line one in Port Chester, New York. But again, a leak tape. We played it a few minutes ago for you, but I want you to hear it again. Former President Trump on the golf course and he's stating honestly what happened at the debate. And he's talking about Kamala Harris and I cannot believe that the conversation is existing throughout the country of Kamala Harris. At the top of the ticket for Democrats. Again, this is a leaked tape. Listen to what Mr. Trump has to say and he's going back to the White House. Okay, I've been stating this for months. It doesn't matter who the nominee is. You can put up whoever you want. They are going down in flames. America wants Trump. Listen to this leak tape. You gave me so much. He just quit. You know, he's quit into this. Is that right? Yep. I got him out of there. And that means we have Kamala. I think she's going to be better. She's so bad. She's so pathetic. It's just so fucking bad. Just kidding. Can you imagine that guy with Dylan with Putin and the President of China who's a fierce person. He's a fierce man. He's a very tough guy. And they see him. They probably wouldn't. He can't. But they just announced he's probably quitting. Okay. Yeah. That's what you're not going about now. Interesting. He didn't lie. He told the truth. Let's go to Barbara at line one. Good morning, Barbara. Happy 4th of July. What's on your mind? Good morning, Dominic. How are you? Thank you. Thank you. Go ahead, please. Yes. One thing I've been a fan of yours since you started this spot quite a few years ago now. And you did have the one of my engaging soothing voices. It's so wonderful to listen to what I'm actually going to bed at night. That's number one. Thank you. Thank you. I love it. And now that I can listen to it at work too, when my boss doesn't catch his mate, it's good. So I did mention to your call screener as actually referencing a debate. I was listening to your, you as a moderator. Was it that four or four or five years ago when you moderated the Democratic primary for mayor? Yes. One is actually longer than that. It was, wow, you have a long memory. It was between, how much are you going to finish your thought? It was between Michael Bloomberg and Bill Thompson. And that's why I can speak with accuracy about what goes on because obviously the CNN debate, that's a much higher profile, but I've done debates that are right beneath that in terms of what Hillary Clinton and with Bloomberg. And I can tell you again, that's how I knew, right? Most people want to talk with a radio barber, they're just pontificating. They have no idea what it's like to be in the chair. None. And that's why I, meaning the moderator chair, that's why I told you, no matter what bias there was, by those moderators against Trump, they were going to have to be on their best behavior at that debate. There are too many eyeballs watching, but please continue your comment. Oh, they, I agree, but I remember thinking at the time, you know, as I've been driving listening to WAVC radio, listening to you as the moderator, I'm not really knowing much about your background. I know you were the New York one in New York, but I remember thinking this guy knows how to be a moderator. He answers direct questions when the people on stage were like, you know, like, you're like, hey, listen, no, this is not it. You kept them on the straight and narrow. I was very impressed with that. I still remember that. And however, the one thing I must say about this recent, what's going on now, the debates back and forth. Is it her? Is it not? Is it not? Is it? But I said, ultimately, constitutionally, she's on the same ticket and she has to stick if you resign, say, after the, say, the, after, just, after August, she has to have it technically, I would think, constitutionally. But I think we also have a new name. And I, I like the call Dr. Joe Biden. I think her name should be leaving the best. So you don't approve pushing your husband for it. Thank you, Barbara, for those wonderful words and please don't be a stranger. Let's hear from you in the future. Thank you so much for the call. And again, folks, you know, Barbara just brought this up. And again, I can tell you because I've been in the situation in debates like that, right? But actually happened. And I'm telling you from the Hillary Clinton debate that I did, they made international headlines. I'm telling you from the debate that Barbara just broke up the brought up, excuse me, the Michael Bloomberg race for New York City mayor, the billionaire Michael Bloomberg. So what happens is, and literally this is what happens, the stations, they, they, they separate you. So like people were calling me up saying, how come the moderators are not on the air right now? They take you out of your daily product. And in my case, and I'm sure this is what happened to a Jake Tapper and his female colleague and Mike Dana Bash. In my case, they, they put you up in a hotel and they hide you from the world, from everybody. And the reason why they do that is because the campaigns are trying aggressively to find you as the moderator and to get in your head, almost like a baseball manager, knowing that his player is out, but he's up in the, up in the umpire's face for the next call. And so that's what happens. And so in, in, in my case, they did not want Hillary people to be able to reach me by telephone. They did not want Michael Bloomberg's people to be able to reach me by telephone. But guess what, folks, that's exactly what happened. They found me despite, I didn't have my cell phone. They found me somehow. I don't know how. And then they call you up and they, they try to get into your head. And so in, in big debates, I don't know, I don't know about Jake Tapper or Dana Bash, but in big debates like that, I remember it like it was yesterday. So my, my, my wife would come in with my kids and into my dressing room. And I said, honey, how's it looking out there? Because you get there hours and hours in advance. And I said, how's it looking? And she goes, well, there's about 150 live trucks outside. This is for the Hillary Clinton debate. And I was like, Oh, great. Thank you. That's all I needed to hear. And so at that point you've had meeting after meeting and I'm not a meetings guy at all meeting after meeting after meeting with managers, producers. If Hillary says this, which way are you going to pivot? If Bloomberg does this in this live situation, what are you going to do? And so in my case, at a certain point, it's like, okay, I'm prepared that no manager can help me once I'm on this stage. And frankly, I mean, I'm in my dressing room, taking a shower about to get dressed and listening to Madonna, but right before these major debates, star lights, type star bright and so on and all of her hits, that's what that's what I was doing to relax preparing for these big debates. And I'm sure Jake Tapper has his, his own routine. So I'm sure Jake Tapper and Dana Bash, they were scared to death over Trump might commit them in terms of their past criticism of them. But Mr. Trump was very smart, very professional. And that's why he won that debate, hands down wasn't even close. Even if Biden was on his game and he was far off it, he would not have done well against Donald Trump on last Thursday night. Let's go to Norman line five Brooklyn, New York. Good morning, Norman. What's on your mind? Well, hi, Dom. The Democrats campaign is a bureaucracy. The dye is set. They won with Biden in 2020. And unless he unseemingly dies in office, they're not changing the thing. Well, I don't know about that, Norman, because if he doesn't have coattails and Democrats, members of Congress are going down in flames or in some of these districts across America, something has to give, he can't stay. So I hear you. I really do. And I understand the point that you're making. But the Democrats, they have a pickle of a situation on their hands. Not only do they have the problem with Biden. They have a racial problem on their hand. You have Kamala Harris, that's itching to get into the top spot. And if you want to replace her, how do you go to the woman with the she could make history as the first woman president, the first woman black president, she's not going to get out the way. So the Democrats have major problems. And perhaps to your point, the easy way around this would be to stay with Biden, but you stay with Biden, I'll say again, you might as well swear Trump in right now, actually right now. Norman. Thank you for the call. Let's stay in Brooklyn, New York. Good morning, Francine, line two. What's on your mind? Good morning. Dominic. How are you? I am going to hope that Biden stays in the race because I feel that if he does quit, that will be his legacy, that will be his legacy that he gave up because of one lousy debate. And I think he should stay in. That's all I need to say. Well, you say one, his legacy is in trouble. And you say because of one lousy debate, but that's not actually true because of it was just one debate that would be it. This has been a track record building. As a matter of fact, it's been a moving train, if you will, building up steam of whether or not Biden is competent and too old to be in office. But Francine, I hear you on your perspective, and I thank you for your call. Joaquin Pennsylvania. Good morning. What's on your mind? Hey, my friend, you know what, unfortunately, the Democrat agenda is to destroy the United States of America. And so I mean, I really would love Joe Biden to stand because Donald Trump has a really good chance of beating him. If I really think that they're going to try. No, no, no, no, no, that's not why, that's not correct. He doesn't have a chance of beating him. He will beat him. But go ahead. I understand. No, I agree with you, but that's why I can't help but think that somehow they're going to manage to slip somebody else in there. And I mean, Kamala Harris, I don't think she, I think that she does worsen Joe Biden. No, she's actually pulling better. She's pulling better as of this hour. She still loses the Trump, but by only by 2%. Right. That's why, you know, I'm so cautious as to thinking that, you know, something is going to happen between now and then because they just, they're on track to take the country down. Yeah. And so in that way, Joe Biden has been very competent in that objective being, you know, being achieved, and I'm just afraid that they're going to sit there and they're going to blame Joe Biden and slip somebody else in there and they're just going to maintain the same policies that they got going. Right. And therein lies the problem for America. Joaquin, thank you for the call. I know you believe it's going to be Michelle Obama. It's not going to be Michelle Obama. Thank you for not bringing it up. It won't be Michelle Obama. That is a complete joke. Don't fall into the nonsense that she's not running. She doesn't have the temperament. There is no way that Michelle Obama could step into this race. Absolutely zero. Remember I told you that folks, we are going to take a break more with your telephone calls from around the country when we come back. This is Dominic Carter. Now from New York City to the world, it's Dominic Carter. He gave me so much, what did I do with his idea the other night? Amazing. He got all broken down. Yeah, it's a bad guy. He just quit. You know, he's quitting the race. Is that right? Yep. I got him out of the race. And that means we have Kamala. I think she's going to be better. She's so bad. She's so pathetic. It's so nervous. It's just a f***ing bad. It's so f***ing bad. It's just getting mad. But can you imagine that guy dealing with Putin and the president of China who's a fierce person? He's a fierce man. Very tough guy. And they see him. They probably win. They can't. But is they just announce he's probably quitting? Yeah. That's what you're not going to know. Nope. Probably in it. The only question is when does Biden get out of the race? He can't survive this. You just heard leak video showing Mr. Trump state what he thinks of Kamala Harris that he believes that she will be the Democratic nominee, adding she's so blank bad, stating it again, adding she's so pathetic. She's just so blank bad, asking how did I do with the debate the other night? I kicked that old broken down pile and then he goes on. You just heard it and he's sitting in a golf or a cart as he's putting on his golf clubs. And it is what it is, folks. Let's continue on this 4th of July with your telephone calls will on Long Island, New York, line one. What's on your mind, Will? Hey, Dominic. I'm definitely not trying to confront you, but I do believe we had a conversation when Gavin Newsom had the governor's debate. And I said that Gavin Newsom would be their nominee that that was his audition. And I understand. Okay. So what's the point? What's the point you're making, Will? Well, my point is that, you know, now everybody is talking about this after this last debate that we saw, okay? But let's not forget, this is a just more demented version of the man that we saw in the primaries and a man that we saw bungle his way through Afghanistan and mishandled you. I brought up Gavin Newsom because at that time, I thought that was their beta test for running somebody in the place of Joe Biden. Now I will. It won't be. It won't be Gavin Newsom. So at that time, I believe that was their beta test, their litmus test to see how this country was going to react. And if they were going to be favorable to putting somebody in in this place, I'm not saying necessarily it's going to be Gavin because if you let me finish, I'll say you did bring up a gr-- No, no, no. Wait, wait, wait. Well, the problem is I have less than three minutes left and I have a boatload of gold. So that's why I'm trying to push you through as fast as I can. Go ahead. Right. So Kamala, the point that you brought up is a great one. Kamala is not going to take a backseat, but behind the doors, they're going to have to make her take a backseat. Okay. If she wants to buck the party and she wants to go out and get out in front of it and say, I'm not going to take a backseat, but the bottom line is she is an imbecile and she will be humiliated by Trump. She might lose worse than Biden. No might. No might in it. Well, thank you. I've got to move on. Thank you. You made some excellent points. Five. Good morning, Silas. What's on your mind? Yeah, I just wanted to say I hope the world is the America's looking at it. No matter what, Democrats, they put up the same people who are running their government now will be running it, whether it's Kamala or anybody else and will be in deep trouble. And I hope to God that he does run against Biden. And you know Trump better than I do, but if he could lay off him and just let the man flounder and his own wake, he'd have a landslide of women also voting for Trump. Well, that's how you know that Trump is more disciplined this time around because he didn't take the bait. It would have been easy to pounce and finish biting off and he let Biden do Biden. And that's why Biden's campaign is over. Silas, thank you. Linda Long Island, you have about 20 seconds here. Go right ahead. Okay. Quickly. Quickly. Uh, I have a dream for the future, right after Trump, we, he's the last time he can do it. I, I definitely think everyone would agree Dr. Ben Carson, the brilliant man, I saw him interview again.
