Andy Puzder is the author of The Capitalist Comeback, a Senior Fellow at the Pepperdine University School of Public Policy and for more than 16 years he was the CEO of CKE Restaurants, the owner of the Carl’s Jr. and Hardees quick service restaurant chains. He was President Trump’s first nominee for Secretary of Labor and is a frequent guest on cable news and a speaker at colleges and universities.

Senator Jim Talent brings over 30 years of government and political experience including service in both chambers of Congress. He is a nationally-recognized leader on military affairs whose counsel is frequently sought by administrations and members of the House and Senate on both sides of the political aisle. Senator Talent has worked for decades on readiness issues including military preparedness, combating bio-weapons and responding to a large-scale pandemic event. From 2007 to 2012, he co-chaired, with former senator Bob Graham of Florida, two congressional commissions on the danger of bio-weapons and pandemic events that included an examination of the resilience of the American health-care system in response to a pandemic event. Their reports, recommendations, and report cards are receiving new attention in light of the COVID-19 pandemic.
