Aokigahara is known globally as the Japanese Suicide Forest, but we prefer the more beautiful name of the Sea of Trees. It is located in the foothills of Mount Fuji and the history of this site goes back to a time when elders, and the infirm, would be left in the forest to die, so as not to be a burden on the family.
Since the mid 1900’s the forest has been used as a place where people have suicided.
Should ghost hunters continue to visit this place and is it truly haunted?
