He’s about three feet tall and made of mohair.

He lives in a protective glass box inside an old Civil-War-era fortress by the sea, and is known for being very, very particular about having his picture taken.

Ask any of the hundreds of visitors who’ve written him letters begging for forgiveness after they found themselves falling on bad luck.

They all beg for the same thing: for Robert to make the bad things stop, to “lift the curse.”
