Western Wake County are on the Harris nuclear plant this morning. Many people call WRAL news saying they heard the emergency sirens sounding. An hour later, county officials sent out an alert to cell phones saying there was no emergency at the nuclear plant. We're looking into that false alarm and why it took more than an hour for the clarification to come through, look for updates through the evening from WRAL's Chelsea Donovan on WRAL news. A car crashed into an urgent care near Garner around lunchtime today. It happened at the WakeMed Urgent Care on Fayetteville Road. That car crashed into an unoccupied room. No one in the building was hurt, but the driver did have minor injuries. The urgent care is closed this afternoon. And we've learned that the project to build the Blue Ridge Road underpass at Hillsborough Street in Raleigh near the state fairgrounds is running behind schedule. The DOT tells WRAL that the new target completion date is the fall of 2025. They had hoped to get it done by the end of this year.
