I'm Gerald Owens with this WRO News Brief. A local woman was arrested today in connection with the disappearance of Blake and London Devon. Avante Devon is the adoptive mother of the two siblings, who vanished from Fayetteville several years ago. Devon is charged with murder, kidnapping and child abuse. Several people were arrested inside the late legislative building today, as the group of protesters made their voices heard on child care funding in North Carolina. They focused on hundreds of millions of dollars in federal aid for child care that will go away on July 1. Now let legislature pass to measure today that if it becomes law, we'll make up some of that shortfall. The U.S. Supreme Court sided with the Biden administration, and ruling that the federal government can press social media companies to remove disinformation. This means the FBI can push media platforms like X and Facebook to take down content believed to be the work of foreign agents who are trying to affect this year's presidential race.
