Two police officers and EMS were already at the scene for a distress call when the boy was bitten. The boy was taken to the Navy Medical Center at Camp Lejeune where he was treated. Officials say the bite came from a small shark. Family and friends said goodbye to former Raleigh City Councilman Eugene Weeks today.
