It has been constant sunshine today and we're experiencing height heat and index values near 100. A tragedy unfolded at Tucker Recreational Lake in Johnson County today as investigators say that a 12-year-old boy drowned. WREO confirmed this with the Johnson County Sheriff's Office around 3 o'clock Saturday afternoon. The boy's name isn't being released until the family has been notified. WREO reached out to Tucker Lake to hear their side of the story and we were told, quote, "No comment, but we will continue to ask how did this happen and were there any live cards on duty?" We're also following some lighter stories too on WREO, including a larger than life sculpture drawing crowds at Dick's Park. It's a piece of artwork from a claimed sculptor, Dewitt Godfrey. The sculpture is called a tune made from 80 steel cylinders and it stands 18 feet tall and 150 feet long.
