Thanks. Have your own great to talk to you mate. I'll tell you what this season You're putting together Lord Adalza absolute rollercoaster, isn't it? I'm I spoke to your coach Alan Christensen about this at the press conference on Thursday He seemed a little frustrated that he feels like the potentials there obviously with a list You've got and we saw that on the weekend with a massive win against Clarence It only lost two games to that point. You must be wrapped with how the team played Yeah, no, obviously really happy to get the win on the weekend Yeah, as you mentioned it's been a bit of a rollercoaster season for us I'll see we brought a lot of recruits in and obviously we didn't start to see we wanted the way we want to start But I mean to get a win on the board we get an arch rival and obviously not beating it for the two or so years It's certainly a good win for us, but yeah, we're under no illusions that they've got that about five or so out And yeah, I'll see it was good to get the win Absolutely, but what do you put that down to see go the the inconsistency of the team or suppose you've been there a long time now What why haven't you been able to put it together as a group? I guess and really push for that fight. We know you made those grand finals in a row Obviously all those years ago against North Launcest and what's it been that's so stop you taking that next level or suppose? Yeah, no exactly what it is. It's um stop us from getting to that next level Well, obviously as Alan mentioned throughout the week. Well, obviously had a lot of quality players come through our football club and Lastly, you can have some quality players in your side But you obviously have to have a system and you need those players to play within that system So it's something we've been working on for a long time now and I feel like this time of the year was starting to gel I was a group and hopefully we can start to play some good food either back end of the year and Really start to come together as a group, but obviously this year we've brought in some players outside our body club and also brought in some players and previously played at our football club. So I feel like it wasn't going to click straight away But I feel like for the back end of the year Hopefully you can start clicking and hopefully we can have a good back end of the year and hopefully play some final 40 I think it's been over two years since you'd beaten the roost So that must have been a little bit sweeter as well and especially given the rivalry with them being on the east and shore lot you guys Yeah, definitely obviously hadn't beaten it for two years They're quality football, so I have a lot of a lot of respect for that football club So we had to beat them on the weekend was massive and we lost to kinks the last week And we were really disappointed in that. So I really want to come out and put the pressure on rock from the start and We obviously understood that they had five of their quality players out And if we could bring the pressure on early, we certainly thought you'd get that game going And to get the win was massive it was a win we needed to have and Yeah, hopefully it holds in good stead to the back end Mental health and that's something you're pretty passionate about too. Um, the speak-up stay chatty cap over the weekend It must have been nice to bring that home to lordidale as well Yeah, obviously we haven't one last couple years to speak up stay chatty cap So um, yeah, obviously speak up stay chatty something um, they're hard really close to my heart and Mental health is a big part of society now and um, it means a lot to me So to be able to win that um cast back for our 40 Club Certainly special and yeah, if we can mitch is obviously doing a great job. We speak up stay chatty keep creating that awareness Um, yeah, it's great Absolutely now what's going on with mitch robinson we heard he was coming back for this game didn't take to the field Um, what what's happened there and are we likely going to see him back in tasmine before the end of the season Yeah, so obviously mitch was locked into play Um on on the weekend, but um, yeah, obviously he had some family reasons that he couldn't come over so Um, we're honest we're honest standing of um, the situation he's in with his family and um, yeah We're really still hopeful that he can come and play some point for us Um in the back end of the season. Um, how that looks i'm not too sure but Um, I think the club will be in conversation with him wake to wait to see which games We'll suit him and um, yeah, obviously having a play like that Come into your side and for our football club. Um, it's obviously massive So if we can get him back down here playing 40, um, if we get him to play finals obviously massive for us But yeah, obviously, um, yeah, it's this point that you couldn't come down this way can but yeah, obviously respect for His situation and um, hopefully we can see him in the back end of the season How about you personally mate? How do you feel your seasons tracking? Obviously, um, you've dominated the last few Years but uh different role a little bit this year with Andrew Phillips coming into the side I suppose I have you assessed your season of the day Yeah, it's obviously um, it's been a different year obviously not having to go in the rock But I've certainly enjoyed it. Um, obviously you've got to spend a lot more time in the mid field a little bit of time up forward And um, obviously having joined lane back into our side now. I probably don't need to spend as much time forward So, um a lot more mid field, um time for me, which i've really enjoyed Um, it's a lot better for the body But obviously having Andrew Phillips back into the side, um, he's nasty for us. Um, he's obviously a quality player Um, he's someone that, you know, if you get on the end of your chat, they're quite nice So now I've enjoyed enjoyed the role of applying and I think obviously adding the quality players where that is Um, it's allowed me to sort of just play my role and um, you know, let the other guys go to work And I think that's really important for the next step for our food club. If we do want to have success that Uh, we all need to play our role. We can't rely on certain players, um, to win us games. So, um, yeah, and I've really enjoyed Joy, but I'll Vodalalal and tazzy footy superstar sam segens is my guest on sc and tazzy breakfast this morning Uh, sego doesn't get any easier for he does it north loney after the state game by so, um, it's it's going to be a big test up at utas stadium as well Yeah, obviously, um, got a state game this week. Then obviously playing against north loney The week after the obviously quality side, uh, the other lost the game this season. So, um, they're a well-drilled football clubs Um, they've always got a great system up there and they're tough to beat. So, um, if we can, uh, go up there and play some good footy Um, it would be really important for us. Obviously, there's a high chance that, um, the grand final could be up there. Um, So if you're going to beat them, you've got to beat them up there. So, um, certainly going to be a big test for us but we feel like we've got the side and assistance to do it. Um, but yeah, we've just got to put it all together Mention the state game. We had the the win of course over queensland a few weeks ago now, but this weekend you're back home Which is really exciting. You've got a new south Wales camera joint side you're coming up against Do you know much about them and what sort of challenge they'll present? Yeah, I'm not sure we don't know too much about them to be honest. Um, we're obviously over there. Um, They'll have some quality players. Um, they'll be a tough tough side. So, um, we'll probably find out a bit more information Around our opposition this week. Um, as Trent brings it to us, but yeah, it's obviously, um, an exciting week potentially for you again to be able Um, represent, um, the math again, um, and also doing our home state. Um, it's certainly special. It's good to go away Queensland and get a win over there, but, um, there's nothing better than representing your state, um, in your home state. So, um, now i'm looking forward to this weekend. Um, Hopefully the weather's a bit better watch this now, but obviously playing huge as quality ground and, um, Yeah, hopefully we can, we can go out there and get another win for the, for the math and it's It's been great for, for targeting 40 to be able to play representing football. Um, again this year and to play two games Um, it's really special and hopefully we can, um, play some more representing football next season Absolutely. Um, like, well, just that's a nice segue because something special's landed in my inbox this morning It says AFL Tasmania will announce details of top level senior football across the state in 2025 head of AFL Tasmania and gill and senior state player sam seagens and grace what will be available to media for questions and photos We'll get cracking on this early seago. So i'll have to play this right bad on these I'm not too sure in terms of what the announcement of David obviously, uh, rubbish. You know all about it You know all about it. You're doing well though. You're just straight baiting it, which i like Obviously it's been a bit a, um Bit a bit out there in terms of more representing 40 so hopefully it's along those lines that Um, there's going to be more representing 40 Um, next season it gets the opposition states and also Uh, potentially hopefully some other vfo cars may be just in preparation for ffo in 2026. You can all go to head and Um, yeah, I'll let we'll let damian do that in the answer today I look forward to it. Uh, now obviously a change of coach since you win against quenzane a few weeks ago What's changed under Trent since he took over and and is he trying to keep things pretty much the same? Yeah, obviously, I see um Obviously being in the role was was massive for us. He's a proud Tasmanian. Um, I I rate I see it's such a great coach. He's one of the better coaches i've ever had so Um, yeah, he's very passionate as manian. He's got a great footy mind So he was certainly massive for us, um, for the quenzane game and um, obviously Trent was our assistant coach as well So Trent sort of stepped into the role, um, very easily and and taken taking charge and Trent's got a great football mind and and it's a great football person. So, um, he's been Really good for us. Um, and this week's very exciting. Um, so you'll be able to play under him Um, and hopefully we can yeah get another win Absolutely now just probably go mad. Obviously it was so special at north hobart last year He kicked that awesome goal of course. He expecting a similar crowd and atmosphere in lonceston on saturday Yeah, i'm not too sure. Hopefully we can um, get a good crowd. I imagine we would Um, but yeah, I'll see I guess the pressures at the lonceston Um, that end of the state to to get a good crowd there obviously on the circus dance around last season Um Was was really good timing in terms of the stadium Um, and obviously the bars around um, the AFL side coming in so it's going to be tough for them to match it But yeah, I just really hope the the lonceston Um, and that end of the state, um, and i'll see how about people can travel up as well But we can get a good crowd out there because it is really special Um, watching tesma and it plays football. So, um, yeah, I hope Hope the state can get us around us and and come and support us Um, wearing the map Awesome mate. We can't wait to see you out there.
