TSL stars such as Andrew Phillips, Brad Cox, Goodyear, Jack Tomkinson, Sam Sigans and Jack Avent playing alongside each other Was just glorious to watch The NWFL's Bailey Bogue didn't look at a place despite being just one of two players from outside the state league young guns Harry Bales and Oscar Van Dam were outstanding both thriving on the big stage and What a 12 months for Kieran level adding a loriforia best on ground to his premiership and Bulldog medals the map ran out winners by 46 points It was a lot tougher for our women's team with Tasmania going down to Queensland earlier in the day Kelsey Hill grace white Molly Mitchell and Madison done were named in our best players in the 58-point loss The good news is our ladies won't have to wait too long to make amends with our men's and women's sides to play matches against Sydney Canberra combined teams at Utah Stadium next month Rep footy is just an outstanding initiative and my mail is even more might take place if our VFL teams don't begin next year or Saturday might have provided mixed results for us I'll never get tired of seeing our champions pulling on the famous map particularly at such an exciting time for Tasmanian football Welcome to episode eight of the devil's advocate Yeah, I think we all get the hair on the back of our next standing up when we see the map out on the field But our dominant win in the men's match on Saturday also has raised some questions on X following the game Tasmanian footy legend Robert Shaw posed an interesting question. He said Unqualified I'm not on deck But with 98% of the team from AFL Tasmania's state league in such a great win against the state They throw dollars at why the change to regions is my question Byron Howard another great of Tasmanian football agreed saying it should be a state league until the devil's are good to go Ridiculous decision going regional in 2025 Clinton read also shared his thoughts saying correct there does need to be a strong statewide second-tier competition They are that close to having the perfect pathway, but unfortunately one half of the state will not be Involved one person who does have a strong opinion on the new way forward for footy and the new regional model is former Tasmanian Premier Peter Guttwin who has ties to the Scottsdale football club. He took aim at North Monsterston on Saturdays in Tassie with flash and GVZ over the weekend over its concerns about joining the NTFA To be frank how arrogant it is to say The competition We don't like we don't think it'll be in our club's best interests. So we're just going to go into recess I I was just staggered. Absolutely staggered. It's disrespectful to Everybody involved in football in Northern Tasmania and that club should have a good look at itself And as I said on on Tuesday, and I'll say it again Don't worry North Monsterston. We are coming for you He of course is our former Premier and despite us all heading in the one direction when it comes to our AFL team There's obviously still plenty of politics that play when it comes to everything underpinning it. In fact, our current premier Jeremy Rockley put up a congratulatory Facebook post to our victorious men's team on Saturday night saying the map does it again North Monsterston president Thane Brady responded by saying how dare you premier celebrate this when you are ultimately Responsible for allowing the competition that has developed these players to be bulldozed It's not too late to fix this train smash if you really cared What do you think let us know your thoughts on the new structure for Tasmanian footy and we'll get to it on next week's show Send us a text on our open line 0 4 3 7 double 5 2 5 3 5 Or hit us up on all the major social media platforms at SCN Tazzy We've got a massive edition of the devil's advocate on the way for you today later in the show will whip around the country to see how our Tasmanian players fared in their respective competitions. Thanks to battery world But our major focus will be on Saturday's representative matches I'll be joined by both of our Tasmanian coaches Aaron Cornelius and Deb Reynolds That's all ahead for you over the next hour here on the devil's advocate
