breakfast with Tim Payne and Brent Costello welcome to the show for another busy week of sport right across this beautiful island Brent Costello here looking at a man who said I'll be sitting in next show and I'm looking forward to reshuffling the decks here in the studio and Tim leaves us to go to noosa you will not be sitting oh do what I want to be here you will not be sitting in the number one you won't be able to stop me pal you need all your laptops over there you cannot come and easily stop you cannot come in that seat and wing it and hey she's gonna come and sit in my seat and we're gonna have a nice little crew here at the desk can we if you put that photo up on Twitter of Jesus Christ sitting in the corner this morning I think it's I think was on the video yeah if you look on there you'll see it that's just the light shining on it's gonna be a good day for the hammer how are you good good so as you know I've been plugging it away in the in the garden getting things up to scratch and how's my weekend oh all weekend all weekend except watching a cricket bit of soccer in Saturday morning and they're very obviously I tuned into every ball of the Afghanistan Australia clash we'll get to that hold your best stuff this is the preamble where we just have a bit of fun I seem to start the show because that's serious business need to get so but you are often no sir I am looking forward to it I can't wait I was tough getting out of bed this morning with the fog in the cold so what's it good easy to get out of bed in noosa the Bridgewater Jerry the Bridgewater Jerry's in its finest what would you call it this morning it is blooming it was up at a Brendan Brendan Blomley he was blooming you couldn't see driving down Davey Street I was it was pretty tough tough going I just found it really hard to get to bed this morning only okay but well you had a little into I'm actually really proud of you this morning why because we've had a few bets in the past one and you have yet this is one right this was the second one and then yesterday we had a bet Eagles the SCN Tazik up Essendon vs West Coast loser would buy coffee and a little leg and bacon wrap or something for the other you're a bit slow to take on it's eight dollars fifty it's okay get to that I happily to give you the money was about twelve dollars in the end was it yeah and but anyway blow me down I walk in this morning and there's a little coffee and an egg and bacon pie for me man I'm mad at my words him okay I'll get to the game this morning because it seems now that maybe you might be a man of your word but I would say in the past people have text sent text messages into our show questioning your integrity so for those people I can say that he's come up with the goods this morning so there is now still hope that he will fulfill his obligations out of the rest point come play challenge I'll get there Tim I will get there now but this is the thing he texted yesterday and said okay we'll have a bet on the footy and initially I said no because when you have a bet normally you think you can get up don't you know you just have a bet just to put a bit on it make it a bit more interesting if you know your team's gonna win what's the point having a bet because I knew they weren't gonna win yesterday did you yeah well can you give us a crystal ball then like why do we have to get on here and talk sports and stuff if you can just give us the results when it's wicked let's go through next weekend's AFL games you give me the results I just knew how we'd go Tim and I was right there was a little confident going into the last quarter you sent me a little text and you seem to be a bit chipper and thinking that you were going to come in here this morning for a free breakfast yeah well I was a little bit up in a bit but they played alright the Eagles we're not getting blown out of the water a little hiccup in Adelaide a few weeks to go but they're showing some sides that's good it's always good when you start accepting those kind of losses is are we going well well better than they were this shows me yeah I'm actually maybe you're actually now you're playing more teams that are going well we got the Eagles in three weeks so let's have an absolute smashing of a training block we'll play them when we're absolutely knackered still beat them and then go on then the Eagles we're going better than what about your mob playing one game in outside of Melbourne for the rest of the season so final so we should so you should yeah got to get the moments in the finals 100,000 the MCG yeah well it's true but that's it I know we're in a predominantly Melbourne based competition but that's amazing a little bit of an easy fixture Tim yep I think there's a lot how many games to go I don't know when games to go still you got one out of Melbourne fair all you guys get a huge home ground advantage every second week so says like nothing's coming through on the app at the moment so apologies we can't hear it's anyway for coming through on the app but we'll try and rectify that situation is that Hamish is issuing it well he's rushed out of the studio Tim so I'm assuming that goodness he's going to sort it out what about this one this is quite funny from Hamish sometimes he puts it likes to add a little bit to our preamble and he's written Tim is departing for noosa will this go better than the last time a former Australian test captain visited up there referring to Michael Clark Ocean probably unless anyone else has been up there more recently unless you find yourself in an incident or you're actually just just behave yourself up there I'd take Carlos would not surely you and him together I'm not sure that it go he's also written here the Mercury reports that in a glenokie city council elected poll which I did vote in two Tim my hopes 89.02% voted yes in relation to urgently repairing and reopening the glenokie pool and it's been a conversation we've had on this show yep of course you should be actually you should be the face of that campaign should be big photo of you stuck halfway down the slide because that'll be one of the biggest things is they're gonna have to widen that slide a little bit yes sure the adults like yourself can still get down there and relive their childhood I think that's number one priority don't worry about the pool fix the waterslide place yes I can all enjoy that again a couple really texting here on the hardcore it's open line one here is about Usman Kawaja being on Kane and Bucks this morning and it says as Tim got an update on when SCN Tazzy can have a current test player come on that's remarkable in London yes Michael I can give you an update on that this morning we'll have one on yeah not you anyone else you have one on every Monday and every Friday no other show gets that kind of access here we so we have very very lucky and yes we will all right I've spoken about this a hate ring in them Hamish can ring them all I can give them why you mates I don't know if if someone said to me to do yes could you get Tim to come and host something for free I have no hesitation in ringing asking you that you wouldn't get a reply now the text in here from David of Launcest and how many state games will Tasmania's footy team play next year is there any chance that our Verfel table started 2025 David of Launcest and they David I don't think we'll see the Verfel team in 2025 but my mail is Tim we might see more representative football more than two games that we're seeing this year that's my mail okay well we just about with the there fell take that as a receipt as I like to say yeah but no the Verfel team officially won't start with I've just another text through saying lads can get you on the SCN track banner okay all right we'll let it in track let's send that out get us on SCN track Launceston or Devon port and you can hear us in our finest glory what's that what's the latest hammer have you fixed it hammer and get us back on the app do you know Renee we had our our panel operator we had a bit of a chat to him this morning Lincoln Allen yep son of son of a great Ben Allen and he joins in a bit and he joins us he's in a bit of a pickle Paul fell has got no car so he's getting in an Uber you don't need a car in Melbourne they do he's coming in he's coming in five days a week 25 bucks a pop back and four that's 50 dollars a day what Lincoln needs in your alarm clock from what I understand because he slept in this morning so if you had an alarm clock you could get on the tram and it wouldn't cost him as much Lincoln babe please I was just going through the SCN family now we've got Berwick BMW we've got Werribee Kia we've got he on day that's like your kick kick he on day with Jared we've got JMC down here in Tassie which can't help him but I would like to think someone in the SCN family could just wrap their arms around me he works he's backside-off he's doing weekends funny he does the finals iron does it all I mean he's a bit of he's a bit like the glue he's underestimated he's an inside midfielder who gets knocked around but he gets it out for blokes like me and you to look good that's true now I know he's not Eddie Korns but can we maybe help the bloke out get him a little bomb what what haven't you done this for me you've got yourself a car down here you haven't you haven't given me this but you won't it car this yeah my point is Lincoln's working away rent rent risen in Melbourne it's hard to keep getting by Lincoln have my car then I'll get the new one well we'll do our best down here because he's part of our family we'll see what we can do I'm actually set off Eddie he's got on the buttons he's got the sound effects ready to rock and roll for us hey we got a big show this morning Tim talking through Brendan Blomley is coming in isn't the high performance center or the administration and training facility cause some debate here in Tasmania looking forward to chatting to Brendan Blomley the mayor of Clarence we're gonna talk to Kieran Lovell as well who was named best on ground on the Freud medalist in Tasmania's big win over Korns and wasn't that a fantastic result I'm going home we should just how you come up with a studio Eddie kit homies you've just come in and just cool just nice and quiet strange individual gets me every time so Kieran Lovell join us Maddie Reed is backward oh he's got a text it working again on SCN Hobart well well down hammer well down Hamish that's what everyone can hear you slam the door five times this morning well that's last night when we did have that little bit and we said you send that text run said Hamish would you like anything I did then he said I don't eat breakfast no no no no he eats breakfast just not on days he's in the studio right that's interesting strange individual he is a strange video we're off to our first break of the morning here on SCN Tazzy breakfast and coming back right after this to whip around the state thanks to the Tasmania Footy Club to see exactly what went on over the weekend that's all that come for you here on SCN Tazzy breakfast we're powered by Kubota had any job with Kubota's range of tractors miles and utility vehicles and get us on the Harcourt's open line Harcourt's more than just real estate professionals 0 4 3 7 double 5 2 5 3 5 time now to go around the state thanks to the Tasmania Football Club and let's start with footy Tim because it was a great day for Tasmania a terrific day for our men's team particularly a tough day for the ladies of course but the men are 46 point win over Queensland second year in a row we have rolled them fourth scene of Tazzy's 20 goals were kicked in the first and third quarters when they had to win and I was I wasn't sure if we had enough of a lead going to that last quarter but they certainly made it pretty clear that it was all going to be fine early in that quarter and ran away then which was good as I said the women went down by 58 points and not the day out they were to light but the good news is get the chance to do it again in a few weeks time up in Launceston against the Sydney Canberra side so that's good care and level expect them to be better than Queensland I wouldn't have thought so I don't know but I wouldn't have thought so or to for that traditionally we take care of a team from Sydney and Cameron we mm-hmm care and level was awarded the La Foy medal he will join us later in the show Kelsey Hill was best on ground for the women and a new award was introduced by the men's team and voted on by the players the devil the player that best embodies what it means to where the map it was given to Bailey Boca what I thought was outstanding one of just two players from outside the TSL to play in that game on the weekend Tim very good what up bueno well how's that team going in the VFL cool well okay wouldn't I I would have thought so yeah and if we added a few more to the mix hmm few people might come home yeah no we're ready to go I'll be great are building and I think we'll see more at footy next year okay so I got one last year to this year in the lead-ups 26 I assume when the VFL team will come and we'll see more at footy Brenna you would have seen yesterday that Labor has thrown its support behind the AFL High Performance Center being built at the former Rosney golf course shadow sports minister Luke Edmonds had tried to save the golf course not gold course as Hamish has written there in the thing during his time as a member of the current city council and the party says it is concerned about the project falling behind the AFL's timeline which is probably fair enough Brenna needs to get moving it does yeah and this is the mayor very shortly about it this is what you can do and this is what Labor's doing well now is there on board with these things but they're pushing the timeline keeping the timelines in check so when we need it started and it's not going to be for a while so how long is this new process take do you know well they've got they're going to do the elected poll down within 60 days or something but then it's going to have to go I think that's they have to have it done within 60 days so that's sending it out in ticket cross it whatever sending it back yeah counting it and then you've got to have the go through council obviously the whole project development application whatever it's called yep they've sort of voted on it it was a long way to go we'll find out more Brendan Blomley later in the show exactly the timeline but it's not going to happen tomorrow and 200k down the drone yep how does it cost 200 grand by the way to send out paper and get it sent back i guess it's all the people at the end counting him too you got to pay there my suppose but it's it seems like a lot of money doesn't it well ask these questions you don't understand age you could do some sort of online poll that would cost yeah but is probably blazes or on store wringing it i suppose i don't know i've got no idea uh Tasmanian devil's girls team enjoyed their fourth win in a row with an 18 point victory over the Gippsland power it was a very even team performance with the devil's seven goals all coming from individual goal kickers spread as they say Brendan a big weekend for some patrix college boys and girls team who won their respective sports association of Tasmania independent schools grand finals on saturday so well done to some perhaps taking out the double for the Tasmanian football club become a founding devil's member today tough weekend on the basketball court team particularly for the Hobart Chargers men and women with both sides going down to Mount Gambia and Geelong over the weekend that's a tough trip they're going all the way to Mount Gambia back to Geelong right tell me about road trips i know i know lonceston tornado suffered 20 plus point defeats to the Knox Raiders and Eltham Wildcats as well it was a good win for the Thunder on the road against Eltham after trailing by 13 early in the third the Thunder rallied to be up by eight with just over two minutes to go the Wildcats then went on a late run the tight up but Trey Armstrong it was magnificent watch this on the replay we haven't already hit a game winning three with just four seconds left to secure the victory unfortunately they had a 24 point loss yesterday to Knox did you watch your Torns i didn't see any of the Torns i saw that bit in the end of the Thunder game though that was worth worth a look if you got got five minutes to go i see that on social media oh okay mbl one not new tube mbl one's on yeah watch that okay oh don't you yep so some games i don't think our Tazigames are on there for some reason but you can get the away games occasionally well oh fair because we haven't got the facility down at kenbroke or i don't know it's him well it's not great at the silver dome is it so i don't think the lower levels we're not getting it filmed at Clarence are we the the silver dome interesting at the moment we talked to Christine Finnegan on Friday for the news and they're going to have to have some urgent works done there within the next 60 odd days 100 days before those games can take place in the mbl season so we'll keep a close watch so we'll be done they're going to have to be yep all the back here Kristin was confident they'd get done what what do we need well just basic things improvements improvements basically nothing major no nothing made absolutely major stuff has to happen but not for these games to go ahead but some basic stuff needs to be done yep before october and i'd be able to get those games up there you just you're about the high performance enter king we didn't we're gonna announce potentially as soon as this week they're preferred location out of those two yep it was two right near the sports center yep that'll be the next step and then i think everything is basically ready to go so exciting times bloody exciting could be a year or two away and we have a big building with a jack jumpers logo that kids can see and dream about and another one with a tazzy football state emblem on yep it's all starting to happen vc tazimani's reign smith had six points in the australia select teams thrilling at one point win in game one of the nippon life cup against japan is that what it's called harpish i thought it was nits nissen or something is it nippon or please be nissen i thought it was something i don't might be on wrong in game two yesterday he had nine points one assistant a steel in a draw no over time in these ones timjoo to friendly game conditions take us through the mpl over the week npl round 11 was highlighted by a top of the table clash between south hobard and gonorky south hobard managed to hold on the second half for a three two victory to move back into top spot and hand the nights their first loss of the season the kingber lions united football club defeated lonceston cd 3-1 to create a buffer on its top four spot the devamport strikers remain firmly in touch for the title race with a two-nil win over riverside olympic and the clearance sebras secured their third victory of the season with a 3-1 win over the winless lonceston united what about the women super lake the strikers flexed their muscle with a massive 10-nil victory over riverside olympic the reigning champ south hobard rallied late to secure a 2-1 victory over the gonorky nights lonnie united pitched a 6 pitch to 6-nil shut out against a pitch to runer and 16-year-old jones scoring five times and what about this tim raiser rob through to the pfl playoffs after defeating Josh Silbiera via split decision he's now first in the light heavyweight division and has a chance to win the same title he claimed back in 2022 with also his second win since returning from his band substance suspension i reckon we can get him on absolutely we could is that the nip and life cap hammer i'll make that up have i i swear it was so much trouble hamey no i'm wrong tim it's i make ron burgundy look bad oh i've you are in seerong sorts and when i'm wrong tim unlike you i can pop the boss and say pros let's get let's get riser rob of we can yeah i'm sure we can't story ups and downs absolutely tough sport now we've we've both got some mail through our social media last night about tasmanis push for sympathy competition we have a source a very reliable source who very rarely misses i've no reason to doubt it obviously we won't give up who is absolutely not 99.9% of the time he has been on the money this person and what's he told us bono shall i get them and you i'll just find the message shock and read it out word for word on our what is it the end the national second-tier second-tier league the tasmanian team this actually started last week uh he he was big on this another very well connected soccer person i spent time with today assured me that's a big word assured that's that's done locked assured me tazzy belig bid is already over the line tick and i don't know if i should read the next bit but he he is connected in high circles yep soccer and he thinks it's done tim done and dusted we might as well start selling memberships and jerseys that's if that's true that's exciting it's great and i i actually do we're thinking about this the other day after um we spoke about it for a while on the show i love the fact that you can potentially get tasmania and an a league team by winning the level below and getting promoted can you imagine the build Brent if we had a sniff and we're around the top couple of the div two competition it momentum would build in tasmania massively massively they get a heap to go to north hobart and watch when the wanderers come down magic is our own team with a bit of momentum building towards getting promoted into the a league texan here from anthony on the harkorz open line harkorz results for you can get us as well oh four three seven double five two five three five or give us a call thirty hundred forty two fifteen thirty three he says high performance center lodge development application council should deal within 42 days but if they want to extra info then it takes longer if the permits granted it can be appealed to tazcat tazcat supposed to deal with appeal in 90 days but generally takes longer this isn't happening anytime so right and when uh grand oh bright a chairman came out and said they're still doing they're still inspecting some stuff or still doing getting some information do we know what information that is that still needs to be ticked off or just be and is that going to take place in these 42 days or nine days or is it going to take longer so why are we going out getting a poll spending 200 grand if we don't even know if the site's suitable good question and these questions can be answered let's get a list and tick off one at a time if you got a quick order would be good because there's no point getting this the data back and saying it's good to go and then if you got a question for the Clarence Mayor Brendan Blomley who'll join us later in the show get us on the harkorz open line oh four three seven double five two four five three five or you can dial in it mocks the live good radio etiquette here in the studio this morning Hamish is slamming doors you guys are talking as well come back nearly had his e-drums burst and all that happened to me before it's not pleasant now before we get to snapper very reliably told that the last text are in Tim it was they are fax high-powered very high-powered it's all I'll say everything you heard we read it off that text about the high performance out yep now man it uh fair to say Tim is on struggle street for great racing in great places visit tasracing.com.au put his neck on the line again on Friday with a tip for us and lo and behold guess where it finished Tim last third to be fair Brent he knows that you win some you lose some doesn't he again was responsibly he always has yeah so take away a snapper nice to see you very well thank you for that introduction boys you are killing it I was born on struggle street I've never left but yeah well tell what I'll do for Friday show Brent I'll send out an SOS to Damien right who is in Sri Lanka at the moment it's like we desperately need a winner I wonder where he was yeah what can you do for us a video of an elephant or something something like that I saw was some sort of zoo setup I think well he's gonna be doing some of them because they're getting a touch up over there I think he's enjoying it too much but when he came to a time you'd never know where right he is when he'd be tough to guess as well I'll tell you what he is though busy every time every time what do you have to do busy so busy do you want to have a coffee though yeah yeah great racing in great places tasracing.com.au snapper John Blacker goes bang in the trainer's premiership four winners yesterday in Hobart and three of course written by he's apprentice Jackson Redley yeah it was his day yesterday Johnny Blacker yeah we're sort of a three-way battle for the premiership it's not over by any stretch there's still five meetings left in the season but four winners and two of them very very impressive press for booms three for three now to start its career and start to arm us good name one not long after that but yeah press for booms one to follow uh Johnny Blacker he has won a premiership before a long long time ago prior to Scottie Martin's domination but Jackson Redley's one to keep an eye on as well a young apprentice he only turned 18 a couple weeks ago asked him yesterday how he'd celebrate his treble he set a couple of hard solos ponies his tipple so that's kids these days uh solo yeah but uh no Johnny Blacker he's definitely in the a1 position for that premiership now with five meetings to go what about Bredo's favorite horse the magician impressive win he was he had to do it the tradesman's way he was back off his handicap he had to circle the field over the final lap and he was very very impressive he's the state's best now so we'll watch him with interest and where he goes it was a domination of short he's last night it threatened to be that i think seven of the ten races were won by odds on favorites and nonsense still couldn't tip his money now i stayed away from that and uh yeah i didn't want to put them eyes on on those shores what about tottie ratchet tottie ratchet with the training quinella well the magician's his so he had maybe as the runner up in that one as well he's a good chance to go to the the bow tight again in a couple of months well it's actually less than that i think about six weeks with nyak to potentially win that two years in a row the dureka qualify so pretty pumped for that to come up as well it's been a great addition to the calendar and something to look forward to needed a trailer that night that you and i went to the harness awards the ratchet family yeah one every ward yeah literally cody jordan snapper which is exciting uh the ride of the season competition narrowly beaten jason masculine yeah she swooped in at the death cody jordan jase mascu and he led for basically all part of the last little bit of that competition for he offered the prize up for the season he did yeah he said uh vote for me and i'll share your dinner including drinks and that word we're brent ny entered in that competition the right of the year right i was that's a separate one as well but uh you might have got beasts in that one i still haven't got my black armband for a pretty sore set day actually a thousand bucks for cody jordan and one of uh who have owed us one five hundred as well so it was a good initiative pretty popular we got a lot of votes in for that and it's something we'll look to do for the the next night racing season i reckon brent ny which starts in early october gosh how's fast and minority enjoying retirement uh i think he's on the recovery trial yeah i think we've got a new superstar that we can follow that's running around in lonces talk about that any dealer the dealer dealer it's called uh eight starts in loni seven wins goes around in the nelson cup finals tonight there's there's punter ricky ponding still got dogs i think he does i don't know if he's got any down here i'm asking him he's got plenty of fingers and lots of different parts of me punter um so yeah i'm sure i've got down here but um now big week for greyhounds we've got the uh the second run on mcdonald house charity not brand-a you hosted that one last year so that's coming out here so i didn't get the call back this year step who's got the gig now those look to save funds and brought in the sea graders the uh you yeah yeah may say did he price himself out again oh i don't know i don't know i must have done that last year because i've got all that that's all yeah uh who's your special business in an invoice uh we're gonna write that down steven parry the next politician of melistic carlton my car parolimpian so um yeah good should be on the couch with never now we'll be on the stage i reckon we'll save that for you you pay any comfort on there yeah it's great racing in great places of course it is across tasbania through winter visit tasracing.com.au you win some you lose more for free and confidential support visit gamblinghelponline.org.au and you feel an okay step that the covid's run through the household but you've avoided it yeah we have yeah the wife some fortune instructs down she's getting a little bit better uh shout out to mum whose birthday was yesterday couldn't visit her because she got covid this is snap the old man's got it as well so goodness it has been running rampant but uh no i've survived could you get what about an update on the ceo haven't seen i heard from the wall he's seen here's out of the track yesterday yeah the other one he's the chairman jean fair haven't seen it's been a jc's really well jean might be carrying right his bags potentially he does a lot of that i think now i don't know he's probably due to so are you running the show at the moment with both of them away you've stepped up taking a leadership role yeah sort of pretty much yeah self-enointed yeah yeah well they always are they're like brand in here nocicere powell will see friday sc and tazie breakfast after this tim pain what do we got packs the t20 world cupwaster afghanistan i'm going to go and watch that co mini tape recorder time everyone get him out he's going to give us some gold right after this success here and tazie breakfast powered by kaboda taking any job with kaboda's range of tractors moles and utility vehicles now we have a sports update on the t20 world cup thanks to united forklift and access solutions nothing beats a cat forklift only from united forklifts afghanistan secured its first victory against australia that's right it's first victory against australia in any format in yesterday's 20 run 21 run super 8 victory at the t20 world cup and to break it all down for us this morning it's over to you the former test captain of this country to talk us through this shock result i would wasn't that big of a shock yes why because it's a game we should have won in those conditions we spoke about this at the start of yeah we yes we should have won we are a better team but remember the start of the tournament we spoke about conditions wearing as this tournament goes on pictures starting to spin teams like afghanistan are going to be super super dangerous because i've got high quality spin dangerous batters those conditions closed the gap and let's be able to go back to the last game we played them they would have beaten us in the 50 over world cup too had glenn maxwell not gornberg zerk they were all over us we've been able on this tournament though we've been flying really well not really anything i think the last two games we've shielded really really poorly really poorly and that's that's not a great sign i don't think for me it shows a team who is slightly off for whatever reason mentally physically tired not not as switched on as they should be fielding is a is an attitude at an effort thing at that level they are all high quality filters and the last two games against bangladesh and afghanistan our fielding has been nothing short of waffle yeah yesterday was horrendous and that's not just to to say it for saying it's sake yeah the fielding has been really really poor yeah and it's and it's fitness in the backside yep there's no doubt about that no doubt about that where's it let's go back to the start of the game all right selection so we leave out mitchell stark and again they'll say oh high and so you can say that to him by what i said at the start of the tournament he was our out now at number one did i not picking him in every game and i don't know if he's injured but are you telling me that those afghanistan batters would have been lining up to face mitchell start left arm six foot seven 150 Ks can swing the ball takes a wicket in the first over sets the tone more often than not what i want with a with a brand new ball which i said when england played astrayer is it you either want really high quality spinner or pace or movement mitchell mitchell stark has all of them he has pace he has height he has swing which is crucial in the first couple of overs of t 20 if you're balling straight they tee you off he can move the ball through the air he balls 150 Ks he's a left arm angle he brings variety he plays every game for me particularly against a team like afghanistan who are talented but they aren't facing mitchell starks ever no they get to face him once or twice a year if he gets one right in the first over he's hitting pad or stumps every time that's the first thing he for me should be playing every game secondly i didn't understand i don't mind winning the toss and bowling but one the conditions to me at that ground the games have been played in the world cup every second innings has been lower every team batting second has lost yep so we win the toss and we bowl so if i'm bringing in a second spinner it tells me that the wicket is going to spin so it's going to be harder to bat more likely most likely in the second innings so why are we dropping a fast baller for a spinner and then choosing to bowl first that didn't make a lot of sense to me is there a third point uh not really okay well the third point is they outplayed us yeah there's no doubt about that but i think mitchell star for me should be playing every game and i wasn't convinced on the decision at the toss to bowl first if you're going with that second spinner was always going to be hard at about you could see that the evidence in the tournament has been batting second at that ground has been harder every game yeah starks our mission was interesting to me too um he also brings variety man he's left army he's fast it's different you've got you've got hazelwood or Cummins you've got Marcus Stornis you've got Mitch Marcy you've got plenty of right arm options that can all bowl you throw Mitchell Stark and he can come around the wicket he can bowl over the wicket he can swing the new ball he can he can create different angles which makes batters hit the ball to different parts of the ground so he can defend them easier and he's just an out and out gun and that all the three quicks are but starky's record in big games first over is incredible and he would for me he's someone that can set the tone and get you off to a fly so he plays every game so does your gut feel to you that they left him out because they're confident in getting it done or he might know i think it was a conditions based and it's a it's a really really tough call when you've got Mitchell Stark pack cohens and josh hazelwood and you've got to leave one of them out to play his second spinner and i think it was the right call i just would have gone with one of the other two purely because he he does what he does in the first over and he's a left arm and he gives me more variety but i think the call to play ash and agar was the right call it was right called yeah but wicket was spinning a lot even in the first over he spun one that far but if you're going to go with the second spinners let's put him in the best possible conditions and position which would have been for me to bowl second on that wicket yep so it makes it tough yeah doesn't it well not really well he's got a win or we could actually lose and go through because it's not as an afghanistan play each other so if afghanistan wins that they go sorry if bangled ash beat afghanistan everyone's on two points except for india so we could we could lose to india and still go through or we could beat india afghanistan beat bangled ash and we still don't go through so how bizarre is that we could win and go through win and go through we could win and not go through he could lose and go through because of of course that's all for mischief though Tim had we won yesterday yeah but we can beat india yeah we can we play well of course we can of course we can't we play well we can beat anyone but for me the worrying sign has been our fielding that's what Australian teams are renowned for especially in big moments big tournaments and big games our fielding has got us over the line in tight games before and at the moment the last two games in particular have been ordinary and i think they'll be the first to admit that just quickly because we're gonna get to a break south africa flying under the radar they aren't they they are flying yep to literally under the radar yep England have just belted united states so they are through which is another bit of sold in the wounds for me Brenna after i said we could have dusted them out they are through and south africa will play the western is at 10 30 this morning with the winner of that likely to go through with England so it's great getting to the point in the cricket's been excellent the conditions have been challenging and the next week is going to be fascinating to see how it all unfolds and to see how this Australian team responds most of the time this group of cricketers have responded in a positive way and got the job done so hopefully they get the job done against india and they push on united forklifts end of financial year sale is now on secure a cat forklift for only 27,990 plus gst it is breakfast powered by kaboda take on any job with kaboda's range of tractors mowers and utility vehicles loving your texts on the harkords open line this morning harkords results for you get us on 043752535 or a minor we've got Brendan Blomley the city of Clarence mare coming up after eight o'clock if you'd like to send him a text do that right now or give us a call 1342 1533 big week this week tingbo the mavers to do taz of course our melbourne mavericks take on the sunshine coast lightning at my state bank arena this satellite tickets are available right now i think there's only a few left Brenna so if you want to go get on ticket tech right now vote with your feet every right because supernet ball here in Tasmania would be magnificent so let's support it and get around it and watch this brand-new franchise do their thing on Saturday can't wait for it what we call our team the tazik terminators yeah the tornadoes can we pinch that mmm let's if you got an idea let us know what we call our supernet ball temperature well we could be we could have we can have the Hobart hurricanes in purple and the Tasmanian tornadoes in purple we've we've had we've been called the spirit before in nipple tazie spirit i don't mind that don't know what your mascot is if you're the spirit the ships the tazie ships the tazie teams big picture of your face on their shirts the enemy magnificent itself uh we're going to text in here Tim would you like to go know this where it's from i know who it's from who's it from we're going to reveal who it's from or we're just going to report what's in the text message well you you report it well this is off the back of what we received before about the whole performance center right to complete it there is a right to appeal to the supreme court within 30 days of taz a tazcat decision either way that's limited to question of law there was no prescribed time for supreme court judge to hand down the decision from there a party has 21 days to appeal to the full court three judges again no time limit for a decision that that is complete i can't protest all that well so it's looking like we're going to have a stadium before we have a high performance and we ain't getting to stadium until 2028 slash nine concerning kingberry looks a safe option doesn't it if it's all ready to go everyone's on board fascinating chat with a mayor of Clarence coming up after eight o'clock this morning we're gonna have to know who we should get in his Anthony we should maybe we need to senior council head of the planning and environment at page sega i don't know if we can get no anyone can get him on though that's the problem hard man to get what i'd like is have him here questioning politicians yes leave us out of it and mayors where are we at this is going to happen you said this no well this is actually going to happen yes yeah and how are you going to get that past three judges uh question for that notice not too far away we're also going to talk to the mayor of Clarence as i said Brennan Blomley and winding up the show this morning Kieran level kids are we medallist will join us as well we're talking forward to yeah they're back when they get back yesterday i wonder if everyone made the flight we're interesting to find out and get lost on the gold coast we're late for the news here it comes for you now it's breakfast power block of art to take on any job with kabodas range of tractors mowers and utility vehicles on scn tazzy breakfast questions without notice it just gave me a question without notice and i i think it's worth discussing we've been on air for nearly a year is it time we updated our intro music i like it oh it's a great truth it was my decision start with i might not give you credit for that but do we need a question that we take control oh maybe maybe i believe let's sit with it because i think it's become it's a crumb part of the show yeah but do we do we keep it let us know how it's open line do you like our opening music or do we like it it's just whether we go with another one for the next 12 months oh four three seven double five two five three five puts me in a good view it does catching our question for you and this one is from your uncle robert shore okay social media over the weekend with 98 percent of the Tasmanian team that went on the weekend being from the tsl yep in such a great win against the state they throw dollars at why the change to regions don't we need an exceptionally strong second tier under the devils robert shore you you've said you should they should keep the tsl you're on the record i said they should keep the tsl for it until the vfl team's ready yep so the second tier for me will be strong it will be the devils so you have the regions then the devils then the afl yeah but yeah i just don't like the next year or two when we don't have that when we've got regionals and no vfl might be some more rep footy coming well i definitely have some more rep footy but i do like the model now the more i look at i like the regional feeding to the vfl because i think what we want to do is we want to get the best 25 35 players like we did on the weekend and we want to be stretching them to vfl level rather than having a lot of guys playing across this sort of tsl level because let's be honest we're not going to be feeding an afl team out of the tsl we need that vfl model and we need the 25 or 30 guys stepping up to that to continue to get better so we've got a strong vfl team under an afl team not a strong tsl that's too big of a too big of a leap okay text in here love the music boys that's the first one excellent Brent we've semi answered this will the Tasmanian national second tier soccer team go ahead out of Tasmania well i'm backing my man in who is our very just you've just given away he saws why i said it was a person you've just said it was our man one of our well we yeah well that cuts the half i know a lot of people two i don't think it's given too much away well uh Tim uh new seven news melbourne's theodoropolis throughout can hinkley as an option to coach the devils would you be a fan of that move nothing against can he but no yeah i'm a son can hinkley let's not get things blurred here he is clearly a fantastic coach yep he has done an amazing job at port has he won a flag no he might be gone he might be gone but it's also not the fact that he can't coach it might just be time for a change after a bit more of a bit more than a decade in the job sometimes you need a freshen up he will need a freshen up the players might need a different voice but i don't like stuff out of the weekend it's like he's a bad coach he's clearly an excellent coach his players have always spoken really highly about him he's always had port Adelaide competitive yep so if we were to have him in our setup i'm sure he'd do a fantastic job i'm just not sure he is the right man for what we're after just yet and i don't know him from barisote but i think we need a young fresh Nathan Buckley type as i've spoken to you about brand-o but my male is he's staying at Adelaide anyway if he does okay he's gonna coach the strikers but he's been brilliant good luck to him did you hear that but i did like my mister theodropolis who dropped it yes little known fact yes i've been asking about the theodropolis and i opened the batting together in the 2000 opened the batting together well wasn't gonna be three of yours there in the 2003 or four under 19 World Cup for Australia is that right yes he could play back in his name couldn't he oh he was a terrific player very very nice fire he's doing a good job too he's fully stuff he's a gun yeah he's a terrific man he might get him on maybe we should very entertaining too he's actually a very humorous man is he when he's not eyeballing the camera and being very Theo um Brent what would be a bigger surprise North Launceston or Sydney not winning the flag this year North Launceston more than Sydney yep Sydney going Sydney are flying but i reckon that could be beaten too yeah so on the opposite i look at Sydney and go geez they're gonna have to look you wouldn't think that'd go through now not losing a game to the Grand Forward as well as they drop one at some stage but i think if they were to play their best footy i'm not sure anyone can beat him whereas i think there's teams in the TSL that could beat North Launceston on the right day i think there's actually three i think Lordeil can beat him not at home i think Kingborough could beat them and i think Clarence could beat them not at home you can't name three teams that you think of beat Sydney yeah i can go Carlton Brisbane and Blues were good they were very good Carlton just Carlton Brisbane at the moment i like or Colliwood bombers yeah okay got a watch on the bombers GOT who was good yesterday and my dad's favorite players same Durham he can play the game Tim love watching yeah terrific and rookie category pick up too wasn't he he was yep uh Tim who's the best teammate to be around on a long international tour hard question who's your worst roommate then we don't have roommates Brent you don't knock down to 18s you don't do that anymore well they used to do that back in the day a lot of people wouldn't know when what when Mark Taylor and Bruce playing yes i don't even think Mark Taylor room with people that's how long now that's stopped really well you're in the test cricketers wake up on two single beds next to each other with a bedside table between them oh no Tim you go to the shower first mate well that's been done before it's on a ridiculous that is ridiculous it's two thousand and twenty-four oh that's brilliant you hear about roommates all the time on sporting trips you do it's not as ridiculous as it was in 1980 oh good we know you're not sharing a house when you're in noose or so Brad's got to move on from that one i can't answer it depends because it depends if you want to be entertained or do you want to relax if you wanted to chill out like if you ever wanted someone to do something minus is always like a child but if you want to go and have a chill someone like a Mitch Marsh was always great for a coffee don't hold it up there up there do a list i want you top three entertainers you top three worse you top three dumb something else Brad would you like to see Tasmania hosts and boomers games no Tim and me warm up games in the lead up to the Olympics are in Melbourne once again that's a dumb question from you what was if i'm going to say now i'd hate that okay what would you ask that question of course of course i want to say the boomers pint has okay we'll do something about it you are the face of my state bank marina get out there and sell it you know although they'll get though Ruby to be coming here at one point but uh didn't quite happen so hopefully one day yes uh Tim will you actually go to a jack jumpers regular season game next season or are you a finals operator only oh cut it out cut it out brains well it's factually correct no it's not factually correct i went to multiple games last year and the year before i hardly missed a game mmm not sure about that last one from you well i'm actually that question is he's been thrown Renault what did you make of the Gold Coast Sun's CEO Mark Evans comments from last week he told the Herald Sun since the grand final is permanently at the mcg the league should consider making victorian teams play week one finals at interstate venues he also said with a potential 24th round coming in due to the Tasmanian AFL team the AFL should schedule those games in non victorian venues i know one that would that mean like two gather rounds so what do you say i've no i don't know what he said that that first bit crap i go for you the state team i think that's a ridiculous suggestion to be honest when ok the mcg holds the grand final because the biggest stadium in australia it's the best ground in australia that's just that's is what it is everyone wants to be what it is what it is why can't we do it differently why can't we do it so at different ground hosts are every year we can we can but and i didn't mind it's a pretty good game for them even the gabber which is about to be potentially bulldozed because it's about not a bad grandma i'm a traditionalist though i love the g i love the grand final we're gonna move with the times i know this is the same i we were talking about slightly different topic but cricket scheduling and when's the right time to play the big bash and when you what with the test you know i'll never change because people like you oh it's tradition because we've got to play if you were to scrap cricket season and go right how are we going to put this together what's it look like you'd go t20 here test it but it'll never happen because people in melbourne will kick up a stink about boxing day test has to be played box the day's tradition sindony oh we have the new year's test because it's tradition so does it fit in the inside g arch tradition so great tradition so what so it doesn't mean you're right but i think it needs to be looked at and i think he's got a semi point like you don't need i don't like moving the finals no around week one but i like the fact the start of the year like in the nfl or place that you go this is where the grand final is going to be what i think would be good if and i throw the game you can't because of the contract but i went to both britsman and sindony uh britsman and perth grand finals no great the cities did a great job in embracing that once every four years i reckon they should take one elsewhere but you can't have the contract it'll be something like that just to wine every five five whatever but because i love it also make the other stadiums better just you spend more money and upgrade them and because we're getting a grand final in five years you go to the you go to your government and say geez we need another 50 million bucks to do this this this because in 2030 we've got the alpha grand final i got yep tick better stadium better facilities for your players yep better facilities for your supporters and then it goes back to Melbourne but just to continually just go it's it is because it is it's not the vfl anymore it's the afl just just to set that up again you asked me that question and then you went on a yeah two minute tie rate of my opinion and shot it down well that's the question to me it's and then i'm retorting we're gonna get to a break because you weren't going to answer it anyway you just sit on the fence oh i did can you tell your story about walking down the road the other day and want someone something out to you oh how's it going splinters across the street it's brilliant who oh i'm not sure what if that was you that yelled out to me the other day in moon huh how's it going splinters texas in let me know what it was texas in because i will send you a hundred dollar kfc gift voucher he's coming your way oh four three seven double five two five three five is how you can get us on the hard courts open line hard courts results for you and ex-guest isn't too far away he's the mayor of Clarence Brendan Blomley if you got a question get it in now what about the 2035 grand final at the quarry point love that wow i'm all about it breakfast power biker motor take on any job with kivotas range of tractors mowers and utility vehicles plenty of texas coming in on the hard courts open line hard courts results for you oh four three seven double five two five three five one he having a crack at you Tim don't you dare go there Tim i've told you about the weather corridor through the kinxton twin ovals yep you put the hpc down there good luck with player attention i've told you yes direct to this multiple times will not be a good result for an hpc it's worst case scenario do the work clarity council be patient get the best result bar that you will want to start into the roofs it will end up ends up in kinxton i've worked these ovals it ain't pretty with the weather that flows through that corridor jb through a terrific facility down there don't get me wrong but i've played some cricket down there on beautiful days and it's still cold not to upset the people of king road you will give them the jack jumpers they have their own high performance center but for football outdoor sport it does get very windy down there we need this man to get it across the line for us well this man is our next guest it is the mayor of Clarence Brendan Blomley welcome to the show Brendan great to be here thanks for having me interesting day yesterday labor obviously we're against the stadium for such a long time but they've they've turned their opinion around on that and they're fully supportive too of Clarence getting the high performance center for our AFL team must be nice to have that bipartisan support for the project i sure is and it's a great it was a great announcement by by the leader Labor Lady yesterday i've been in winter and also great to also have David O'Byrne on side as well so with Liberals Labor and Independence it's full seem ahead for Clarence what could go wrong then lock it in the elected poll is going ahead definitely yes sadly we'll go ahead to him a thousand signatures is a very low bar to initiate one of these and we're working through with the electoral commissioner and the the group that initiated the poll the set of questions and that has to be backed by the i have to be conducted by the 14th of August how many people live in the Clarence City Council there's 64 000 and all but it's only those that are on the electoral rolls so the electoral commission will advise what that is but yeah this is a cost of 200 000 dollars for Clarence right payers are serving a 0.3 increase on on all our rates as a result so so thank you to those initiated the the elected poll and as we know it's non-binding but i'm confident it'll come back overwhelmingly in support of the high performance center yeah and you're for now as as the mayor to have everything on the golf course side of of the highway is that right absolutely that just makes a great deal of sense it's yeah this this terminology of parklands well until three years ago as we know it was a golf course this is a sporting precinct um in having it all retained within the former golf course site it of course retains Charles Hammermore Park as it is all those trees at green space that people value will be retained so this is a win-win for for everyone here just just on that we had the someone texted in earlier about the report council received back in December advising that it might not be the best site to have everything on on the on the parklands side of the ground it said how the combination of site characteristics and estimated cost resulted in no satisfactory option being identified for HPC located fully within the Rosney parklands the report ultimately excluded option a from further consideration that was from David in Hobart is that still the case then what did that report tell you yeah well that was the 11th of December report it was if you like an instrument by by the staff um yeah very good qualified staff but the geotechnical work hadn't occurred at that time that's just been finalized we're expecting the report back very soon it's important to note too that the final decision as to the site selection will be made by the state government in consultation with the AFL we've provided a number of options for them as you know we went out across the city the only available site is at Rosney that's the only available site so these people talking about alternate sites there are none in clearance this is it and have they put any forward uh other individuals yeah oh well but we looked today, Kielston Bay yeah um we looked at uh Bayview uh out there as well um uh we have people have also even suggested uh Cambridge but um you know there was a set of criteria outlined by the department of state growth and the only site that matched up against that criteria was Rosney yeah now you've been out on the on the ground if you like do you think they save the Rosney park people are they in the they are in the minority oh absolutely yeah you're very well organized uh 80 development group yeah that comes at swinging every time we want we propose a development in clearance yeah and so I had this question asked by a few people that had text through did do we have the same issues when we put the retirement village on the other side of the golf course no so and why is that oh you'd have to ask those individuals uh yeah it just it just baffles me it is so bizarre that every time we want to take a step forward in the city of Clarence there are those that are knock and and just work seriously against it it is so disappointing and this is an amazing opportunity for the city of Clarence absolutely yeah you've uh you've been a part of high-performance centers for many years now and uh for our for our footballers have access to you know state-of-the-art a training facility will be absolutely fantastic it's a 70 million dollar investment in the heart of Clarence it'll bring economic and social benefits to our city like we have never seen before us and importantly it'll provide a pathway for our kids yeah we are building for the future this is a this is a key step towards us getting the team we need to build the high-performance center we need to build the stadium we need to have our VFL VFLW teams in the competition by 2026 yeah it's an ambitious timeline all that work you're doing now which you said is almost complete to test the site etc well that be available before people take part in the elected poll i really don't know to be on a sprint but that's something that's put they've been engaged by the department of state growth so that information will will be available 2dsg and the AFL that will inform their decision as to where you know where the evils and the training uh administration's facility goes um you know from my perspective it's important we keep pushing ahead because uh we can't simply stop for for two months uh because of an elected poll uh devil's chairman grando brian put out a letter to the devil's member saying that there was still investigative invested investigative thank you grant we're going on it was that a surprise to you no no you're aware of that and working with them yeah no we've been working with them so uh any fairness um uh to to to to grant and the board uh and the devil's um you know they've also looking at the site be is is king but you know it is a twin oval so they're also doing investigative investigative work there tough work isn't it it's catching um but uh you know also what what grand also said in that email to foundation members walls at the preferred site is rosney and it's contained wholly within the the golf course site let's love to get to this is a 14 hectare site this is a huge site yeah and you know two ovals and the training administration facilities will take five or six hectares yeah i mean yeah there's going to be plenty of green space well it's and it's been a golf course for how long oh over a hundred years yeah incredible it is staggering it's on are you worried though that you know kimber is a live option their council fully supports it you guys over there are still sort of a little bit split i think there's a few more in favor than not but are you genuinely concerned that you could be sat on this now it's a risk absolutely but what we did unlike kimber was we went out we consulted with our community uh you know last year they didn't do that um they as a council are united absolutely sadly since day one we've been divided 75 and that's been consistently since day one on this issue five of my colleagues don't want the high performance center in rosney however the majority do and i'm confident that we're reflective of the majority of our community overwhelmingly people want the high performance center do the five who don't want in rosney wanted in clearance oh they say they do yeah but i'll go back to my earlier comment too yeah there's no other site so yeah how serious are they i mean let's be fair in income if you don't want it say you don't want it yeah don't don't sort of are you allowed to take us inside the the chambers of the clearance of the council how does that all go down is it is it strong healthy debate between the seven and five or is it voices being raised is it heated no i'd like to think at all times it's respectful um they're very passionate views on both sides of the debate yeah um but as i say there have been five that from day one i've just been there against it and they're against every consulting with our community it's just incredible yeah um you know so now there's a move to have a selector poll it will happen at a cost of two hundred thousand dollars and again it'll come back overwhelmingly in support of the high performance center i'll leave you with a text from the hardcore it's open line Brendan for mr blomley will the ccc hold the naysayers to account the harassing borderline abusing people to sign a petition when they are simply trying to go about their day that's from an unknown texter on the hardcore it's open line yeah um sadly some of the conduct throughout this debate hasn't been respectful uh the number of people they've contacted me complaining about the way that they've been approached they've been harassed uh forced to sign the petition that's unfortunate uh the the elicta poll is happening now and i just hope that we keep the debate respectful at all times well it's not what happened to george bailey is it i told this story george got a knock on the door one night and answered the door said good evening they said oh you're no good to meet and walked off i loved it wasn't a selector brennan blomley mare of clarance great to have you in the studio thanks for your time and good luck moving forward with the high performance center and clarance thanks so much we're off to the news headlines here on se and tazzy harcourt's open line harcourt's results for you oh four three seven double five two five three five in fact they've come in heaps team the last couple minutes or so if we want uh the devils to retain players having the high performance center at rosney is crucial and we simply wouldn't retain players who had to train in arctic conditions at kinksen that's in from craig great interview boys brennan spoke a lot of sense it just seems it's all anti-afl people complaining tim don't worry about who yelled out splinters how about the creator dollars cheers josh he wants us lice um so harcourt's open hard after doing the game so i can blame them this could be anyone right now i don't know if it's even kiss i was actually concerned my first thought if i had two thoughts after the game i thought gee you got a what a great win firstly and secondly i thought odds on someone's missing that plane how did we go do we get the whole team back kisser uh yeah we did we had a 7 30 a.m recovery session in the pool and i record about a 50 percent attendance oh a few of the boys um had a had a bit of a dip yeah i love it uh we might get back to the celebration shortly but a fantastic win mate uh an interesting game wasn't it with the the wind and and how the goals were scored but um you guys just uh were fantastic i thought yeah i think that first quarter we just really brought the intensity and the hunt um we just yeah we came in with a plan to play with that sort of tazzy hard edge and we certainly came out and we i think we just shocked them with our intensity they weren't quite ready for that um and once we got that jump um it was pretty hard for them to bring it back kicking into the wind in the last quarter what was ace's message to make sure we stayed out in front i was just to bring the hunt around the ball make it hard for them to get on the outside because they do have some really good ball users they run well um and they're fit so we sort of knew we just had to make it pretty hard and tight contested 40 in that last quarter what's it mean for you to pull on the map kiss uh obviously you did it as a junior but to do it again now towards the back end of your career it must be really special yeah it was awesome i missed that last year through a calf injury so that one was pretty hard to watch um at north over with a massive intense crowd but to pull it back on this year was it was really special i looked back on my under 18 days playing for the devils and that's probably the most fun i've ever had playing 40 so it really brought back some good memories and it was really awesome to play with all the really great players that you play against every weekend mate august through your last 12 months you've been awarded the ball doc medal you've won a tsl premiership uh now the lafroy medal and saturday's game and win last year's state game you must be pumped um obviously the premiership being a king biboy originally as well yeah that's definitely uh the the most special one with that premiership um but yeah to sort of start playing some good footy um in the last sort of six months has been nice my body starting to feel a little bit better been a bit more injury free this year so been able to get a bit of continuity with that um but yeah i guess we've got to lock in for the next sort of three to four months in our season try and go back and do that again caring levels our guest on sc and tazzy breakfast this morning fresh remiss of froy medal win in saturday's rep game the thing i love about rep footy kids you go against these guys week in week out and club footy and then you come together and uh you know play as one which is which is awesome who did you enjoy playing alongside the most on the weekend uh yeah i actually really enjoyed playing with a few of the young north money boys i was in the on ball brigade with single and solesburger um and they just brought the the intensity the tackle pressure clean with their hands super easy to play with um and funnily enough i'll probably be going head to head with one obvious not both of them with weekends so that's sort of what's so special about it um and i was really impressed with off to van dam as well i think he's one that's certainly got some draft and i wouldn't be surprised to see you get picked up at the end of the year the goalie kick was out standing wasn't it that the five physics that that checks on from the line that despite the through superb mate he said he knew what he was doing the whole time fair enough to uh can you take us through the middle presentation when uh ace said i'll make sure i get this right because i made an era last night's there a bit of a bad story there uh he won't be happy with this kid he's been pretty upset with himself but we were doing the jump at presentations um they were going obviously through number order and we got uh one two three four five i was six and for some reason it just didn't get read out and the presentation finished and he missed out my jumper and he also missed out Harrison Gunford as well so he was up there with no jumper and not sort of we'd been dropped late and we'd be able to use that uh DROD now let's tell us talk about the celebrations obviously you've had a crack uh where did you go afterwards please and who got the three two and one you obviously got a three i think i'll start with the three harry boughs was definitely the three young morphonic kid he uh he put a few of us to the sword so he was very good um but yeah we sort of just stuck around the hotel for a while i had a bit of a yarn under a few bees and then sort of headed into bearly for a good time so it's good oh harry boughs three votes so we got the three on the field but he was he was pretty good too wasn't he on the field then three off it as well which is great weekend and the good thing is kids you get to do it all again in a few weeks time up in one session yeah i think that's the exciting thing as well it's not sort of just a one and done um we can now build off everything that we've done over this weekend and the training and the lead up now we've sort of got some good connections with each other as well being able to sort of have a bit of a bond off the field as well so i think we'll come out in the next game and probably you have even better connection and play even better footy what do we know about the Sydney ACT team and and what's the standard going to be like compared to what we just faced up in Queensland it's a good question probably haven't really looked too much into it i know Ben Donnelly who loves it a tough matchup and he's already pencil Josh Bruce on his calendar for that weekend so he took Matt Hamillman this weekend and did a really good job so he's certainly looking forward to that one played against the guy that's played a lot of AFL footy but in terms of the the rest of the team probably not too sure yet but we'll start to have a look at that in the coming weeks couple of text in here on the hardcore it's open line hardcore it's results for you one says geez Kieran sounds rough that's from flash in the trade thanks flash and another one here can you ask Kieran if he likes the thought of an AFL high performance center being built down at kingbra if it finishes up falling that way what are your thoughts kids being a kingbra boy oh i think that'd be awesome really great for the community down there to have something like that and if we'd be able to go in there for a bit of a kick every now and then that'd be great too but did i think ace mentioned on friday show that baby alistair lynch was going to pop in and have a chat to the boys they end up happening yeah he did he came out to our captains run on the friday afternoon and he yeah he had a really great chat with us spoke about his sort of journey with the map and the experiences that he had no he did a really really great job of sort of letting us know what it sort of means to all the past players that have played in it and just told us to go out there and played it as you are and i think we we certainly did that so i hope we sort of we made him proud and we made all the others that have played in the map before us proud as well yeah you are working today kids you got to sell a few houses or what's happening i will be working today i'll be trying to stay away from the phone as much as few emails today i reckon mate late just before we let you go you can ask you about the tsl and kingbra how you feel the team's going obviously premier's last year haven't quite hit your peak yet it's fair to say yeah no we definitely haven't um i think our last couple of weeks we're sort of starting to to feel like we're going a bit better we get a few quality players back this weekend in eddy colle zak adam's offer a long injury layoff um so and we'll have our devils as well so i think we'll have a pretty good team out on the weekend obviously coming up against a team that's 10 and 0 in north loney and then got some great players so it's going to be a real test for us and you'll probably show us where we're at home or away that it's up in north loney right um a bigger or a deck which which probably does suit their their young fellas that like to move the ball super well but we'll try and uh bring out our game and see if we can stop that go and grab yourself a packet of butter menthols mate and uh enjoy your day well done on the weekend three votes of the four metal in the rep game uh we look forward to seeing you back in the tsl this weekend and
