Hamish has obviously let us down But we'll get on to you as quickly as we can to make sure you get that KFC voucher headed your Oh, Catherine want to do is have a nice weekend of KFC and Hamish is let it down She had have had a bucket of KFC sitting next to her on the couch when the kangaroos were coming home That was what maybe they would have got over the line. So Catherine I blame Hamish for the kangaroos loss Now I'm told our next guest might be a little croaky this morning I can't wait to hear the first words out of his mouth It is the former Hawthorne player turn LaFroy medalist and Bulldog medalist and premiership player Kieran Lovell The ball magnate himself joins us. G'day kids. Speak to us. Please want to hear your voice I said it I don't know if you have an annual contest and boys are so me able to get too hard after the game So I can blame them. This could be anyone right now. I don't know if it's even kiss I was actually concerned my first thought I had two thoughts after the game I thought gee you got a what a great win firstly and secondly I thought odds on someone's missing that plane How did we go? Do we get the whole team back kiss it? Yeah, we did we had a 730 a.m. Recovery session in the pool when I record a 50% attendance Yeah, I love it. We might get back to the celebration shortly, but a fantastic win, mate An interesting game wasn't it with the wind and and how the goals were scored, but you guys just were fantastic. I thought Yeah, I think that first quarter. We just really brought the intensity in the hunt We just yeah We came in with a plan to play with that sort of tazzy hard edge and we certainly came out And we I think we just shocked them with our intensity. They weren't quite ready for that And once we got that jump It was pretty hard for them to bring it back kicking into the wind in the last quarter What was ACE's message to make sure we stayed out in front? I? Was just to bring the hunter around the ball make it hard for them to get on the outside because they do have some really good ball users They run well And they're fit so we sort of knew we just had to make it pretty hard and tight contested footy in that last quarter What's it mean for you to pull on the map kiz? I obviously you did it as a junior, but to do it again now towards the back end of your career. It must be really special Yeah, it was awesome. I missed that last year through a calf injury So that one was pretty hard to watch at north over with a massive Intense crowd but to pull it back on this year was it was really special I looked back on my under 18 days playing for the devils And that's probably the most fun I've ever had playing footy So it really brought back some good memories and it was really awesome to play With all the really great players that you play against every weekend Mate talk us through your last 12 months. You've been awarded the ball doc medal You've won a tsl premiership now the lefroy medal in saturday's game and win last year's state game You must be pumped obviously the premiership being a king biboy originally as well Yeah, that's definitely the the most special only that premiership But yeah, to sort of start playing some good footy in the last sort of six months has been nice My body starting to feel a little bit better. I've been a bit more injury free this year So i've been able to get a bit of continuity with that Um, but yeah, I guess we've got to lock in for the next sort of three to four months in our season try and go back and do that again Kiran levels our guest on sc and tazzy breakfast this morning fresh from use of the froy medal win in saturday's rep game The thing I love about rep footy kids you go against these guys week in week out and club footy And then you come together and uh, you know players one which is which is awesome Who did you enjoy playing alongside the most on the weekend? Uh, yeah, I actually really enjoyed playing with a few of the young north money boys I was in the on ball brigade with single and soles burger And they just brought the intensity the tackle pressure Clean with their hand super easy to play with and funnily enough. I'll probably be going head-to-head with one of if not both of them this weekend So that's sort of what's so special about it. Um, and I was really impressed with off to van dam as well I think he's one that certainly got some draft and all after newton I wouldn't be surprised to see you get picked up at the end of the year. The goalie kick was outstanding That's a five visit that checks out from the line that just by the two Supermate. He said he knew what he was doing the whole time Fair enough to Uh, can you take us through the middle presentation when uh, I said I'll make sure I get this right because I made an era last noise There's a bit of a bad story there Uh, he won't be happy with this because he's been pretty upset with himself We were doing the jump of presentations. Um, they were going obviously through number order And we got uh, one two three four five. I was six and for some reason it just didn't get read out And the presentation finished and he missed out my jumper and he also missed out Harrison Gunford as well That there with no jumper and not sort of shot. We've been dropped late Oh dear. Oh dear. Now. Let's tell us talk about the celebrations. Obviously you've had a crack Uh, where did you go afterwards plays and who got the three two and one you obviously got a three. I think I'll start with the three harry boughs with definitely the three young mofonnie kid He put a few of us to the sword. He was very good Um, but yeah, we sort of just stuck around the hotel for a while had a bit of a yard And a few bees and then sort of headed into burly for a good time. So it's good. Oh Harry boughs three vites. So we got the three on the field, but he was he was pretty good too. Wasn't he on the field Then three off it as well, which is great. We can and the good thing is kids. You get to do it all again You know in a few weeks time up in long session Yeah, I think that's the exciting thing as well. It's not sort of just a one and done Um We can now build off everything that we've done over this weekend and the training and the lead up Now we've sort of got some good connections with each other as well being able to Sort of have a bit of a bond off the field as well. So I think we'll come out in the next game and probably you have even better connection And play even better footy. What do we know about the Sydney? ACT team and and what's the standard going to be like compared to what we just faced up in Queensland? It's a good question. Probably haven't really looked too much into it. I know Ben Donnelly who loves a tough matchup and he's already pencil Josh Bruce on his calendar for that weekend So he he took matt hamillman this weekend and did a really good job. So he's certainly looking forward So that one played against the guy that's played a lot of AFL footy But in terms of the the rest of the team probably not too sure yet that we'll start to have a look at that in the coming weeks A couple of texts in here on the hardcore. Uh, really great for the community down there to have something like that Um, and if we'd be able to go in there for a bit of a kick every now and then that'd be great too But did uh, I think ace mentioned on uh friday show that maybe alistair lynch was going to pop in and have a chat with the boys and that ended up happening Yeah, he did he came out to our captains run uh on the friday afternoon and he yeah, he had a really great chat with us Um spoke about his sort of journey with the map and the the experiences that he had know he did a really really great job of sort of Uh letting us know what it sort of means to all the past players that have played in it And just told us to go out there and play this as you way and I think we we certainly did that So I hope we sort of we made him proud and um, we made all the others that have played in the map before us proud as well Yeah, you were working today kids. You got to sell a few houses or what's happening? Uh, I will be working today. I'll be trying to stay away from my phone as much as a few emails today. I reckon my Laker just before we let you go. I can ask you about the tsl and kingborough how you feel the teams going obviously premiers last You haven't quite hit your peak yet. It's fair to say Yeah, no, we definitely haven't um, I think Our last couple of weeks were sort of starting to to feel like we're going a bit better We get a few Like quality players back this weekend in eddy cole zak adam's offer a long injury layoff So and we'll have our devils as well. So I think we'll have a pretty good team out on the weekend Obviously coming up against a team that's 10 and 0 in north loney and they've got some great players So it's going to be a real test for us and you'll probably show us where we're at home or away that It's up in north loney So um a big aurora deck which which probably does suit their their young fellas that like to move the ball super well But we'll try and uh bring out our game and see if we can stop that Go and grab yourself a packet of butter menthols mate And uh enjoy your day well done on the weekend three votes of the four metal in the rap game Uh, we look forward to seeing you back in the tsl this weekend and again in the map in a few weeks time Thank you having me guys.
