If you want to dive deeper into any story, links are always in the show notes. We are doing a little switch up with our daily reporting. We are moving our United Rankings up to Tuesday. We will continue to do our course growth numbers on Tuesday as well. This is going to open up room for our Tournament Preview Show on Thursdays. We release nice and early in the morning before you start to watch for those four-day tournaments. Now we understand this might upset your routine, so we've decided to add in a new feature on Tuesdays, our Kevin Jones Tracker. Stay tuned after the news. Our number one news story of the day, stats catch up. This is from stat Mando, Ricky Wysocki bogeyed hole 2 in his final round at the preserve. He had played 91 holes in a row bogey-free. That is mind-boggling. And the second longest streak of all time, second only the Eagle McMahon's 95 bogey-free holes in a row. That's over 5 rounds of bogey-free golf. These guys even human. And you know what's funny? PDGA stats actually tweeted about this during the round after his 90th bogey-free hole. Ouch. And from stat Mando, just a pile on the Ricky Love, this is his 14th year in a row with any lead series or major victory. That is more than anyone ever, including Klimo, who won worlds 9 times in a row. And to wrap up the stats catch up, congrats to Paige Pierce. She's earned over $400,000 in her PDGA career. That is a milestone worthy of celebrating. Paige, thank you for loving Disc Golf and for being ridiculously good at it. Our #2 news story? The Portland Open is getting some prime time love on CBS Sports. When? Sunday, June 30th, this Sunday at 6 o'clock pm. Move the dinner table to the living room and park the family in front of the TV. Disc Golf's CBS Sports tradition continues to grow. If you love the game of Disc Golf, please watch this and tell your friends to watch. The bigger the numbers, the more TV time we will get, this is one way new people will find out how amazing Disc Golf is. Please please please watch and tell your friends. Our #3 news story? DGN announces the 2024 European Open Media Plan. If you want to watch it, this is one of those months to upgrade to DGN Pro. I know I already have. DGN Basic and Standard will get to watch the first round only. Additionally, DGN Pro subscribers will get to watch coverage of the President's Cup, which happens on Wednesday, that's the team battle between Europe and the United States. Jomez Pro, Postron produced coverage will be on DGN Pro only until Monday when it will be released on their YouTube channel and DGN Basic and Standard. Some people will want to moan about the money grab that the DGN is making here, however, think about the effort that goes into putting these events on. We are a small niche sport. All of our elite and major events are covered live. If you have any issues with your DGN subscriptions, they have really good online support. They are asking for an extra $7 to watch one of our sports PDGA majors and continue to support the growth of the sport. I'm all in and I thank DGN for finding a way to get us coverage from Europe's premier event. In our final news story of the day, Kevin Jones moves to Innova. This is a blurb from the Innova blog. KJ brings not only a formidable skill set, but also an infectious enthusiasm that resonates with fans worldwide. Known for his vibrant personality and energy on the course, Kevin embodies the spirit we want in a team member. Coming towards the next chapter in his career, Kevin's fans can expect continued and renewed dedication with strong performances to match. Welcome to the Innova family. So we are going to start our Tuesday tracker going forward, hopefully for the rest of the season with Kevin Jones. But first, I need to thank everyone that reached out to say they appreciated the take on Friday regarding Kevin and Prodigy. It is sometimes uncomfortable to lay out the facts, but looking at them will always help us improve. Hopefully Prodigy can see this information and improve their relationships with their players by being better. Here we go. On June 15th, Kevin Jones left Prodigy and his rating was 1023. At the preserve, he averaged 1025 with his brand new Innova discs. On June 15th, Kevin Jones was 75th in the Pro Tour point standings. After the preserve, he is 68th. And just as a reminder, the top 32 make the cut into the Tour finals. That is the most exclusive, highest payout tournament in the world. And finally, his world ranking on June 15th was 57th. After the preserve, it's 56th. Now let's get into our new feature, the United Rankings of Disc Golf special Tuesday edition, which will be how it is going forward. This is just the only one that's special. First off, my apologies to the PDGA as we had to drop them from our combined rankings since they don't update until Wednesday afternoon. We look forward to putting them back in the mix if they can get the rankings out on Monday. We just couldn't wait that long. We are so excited. On the men's side, Ganon Burley's and I'm not kidding. We actually are just too excited about this, I literally can't wait. Ganon Burley leads the rankings in three of the four systems and claims the top spot overall in the United Rankings. Ricky Wysocki claims the number two spot. He and Calvin are in a split decision until we factor in the recency biased power rankings, which sees Ricky eclipse Calvin and take the number two spot in the United Rankings. Calvin rounds out the top three. On the women's side, we can't wait to see Kristen back in action. Here's hoping it happens soon. She still leads in the United Rankings, taking top spot in two of the four ranking systems. Owns Goggins is on the verge of catching her and would have, except Holland and Missy displaced her in the power rankings. She sits in second place in the United Rankings. And Missy Ganon holds off Holland Handley for the third spot, thanks to holding off Holland Handley for the victory at the Preserve. I'm confident if Holland had won the Preserve, she would be on the podium of the United Rankings. Actually, the women's side of disc golf is possibly at the most exciting moment it has ever seen with eight to 10 players that could genuinely win any given week. My couch and my DGN subscription, thank you. And it is time to close it out with our U disc course growth numbers. We had 28 new courses, which is pretty good, considering the weekly average so far this year is 21.7. That is 3.1 courses every day this year. I estimate we will have 16,228 courses at the end of the year, with over 1,100 new courses being installed in 2024. And for those of you keeping track at home, that is an 8.2% growth rate over last year's numbers. A pretty good week for disc golf, and a pretty good day for disc golf daily. As always, keep the emails coming. We are disc golf daily at AOL.com. Have fun, throw them straight, tell a friend about disc golf daily, and hit the thin gap. [MUSIC]
