That's Steven Jensen. And shout out as always the Big Dick MLJ for the intro. We got a lot to talk about. It's a busy, busy, busy week in the world wrestling as it always is. But first Jensen, how you doing? I'm doing a good man. Getting a good early start to my Saturday as usual. You're doing the show with you. Good to see everyone who's in the chat this morning and watching live. And good to see y'all who watch later on on demand. As always. But yeah, been a pretty good week. How about you, man? And early start to your Saturday. Did I say Saturday? That's not really it is. Always start to my Thursday. Um, to say you just not sleep until Saturday. So I have Saturday on my mind because you'll be hearing me. I wanted to make sure to plug this. You'll be hearing me and seeing me again here on this channel on Saturday. Me and Joel Perle and Chris the Star will be doing the Slam Reversary post show here on Saturday on the same channel. So my bad. Yeah, I was gonna plug that at the beginning. I had Saturday on my mind. It is Thursday. Thank you very much for watching this on Thursday. Happy Thursday, everybody. Joel is going to be live at Slam Reversary. So yeah, yeah, I know. He's got the logistics figured out. It may be me and Kressa to start off and then Joel will jump in. But either way, and he's staying close to the venue. We'll be in touch, but I'm looking forward to that. We'll be previewing a TNA Slam Reversary here on the show today. But Maggie in the chat. What's up? Maggie always great to see you says it's okay. It's Sunday for me. So there you go. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, for those of you who don't know if you can't tell, I wake up right before we start doing this show on Thursday. My brain is a bit scrambled. I'm like kind of snapping it into the day as we start talking. So a little scatterbrained here. But we'll get through it. We got a lot of good wrestling to talk about today. Guys, if a super check is question, comment statement read on the air. Leave us a thumbs up on the video. Subscribe to the channel. You also subscribe to our sister channel, 5thLoberbook.com. Maggie does a show over there every Friday at 3 p.m. Eastern coexisting with Rob and Maggie. You can subscribe to Fightful Select. Jenson does the weekend there on Fightful Select. That's also where all the news gets you dropped. Joel Pearl and I just did a Q&A on Fightful Select. We did not have as many scoops as Sean does. Sorry, everybody. But we did the Q&A as Sean as he's going to be in for a hard time tonight at GCW. Best wishes to Sean Ross. Oh, that is. That's tonight. Him and Effie. Yes. Okay. Wow, we should have. Well, we'll talk to, we'll try to catch up with Sean after that. We'll get Sean's thoughts on how this goes afterwards for you guys. I thought that was coming up so soon. It's a big GCW weekend coming up. I'll actually be talking about this before a little bit, but I'm planning on being an action wrestling live on Sunday. They're doing a show at Doss Barbecue in Atlanta. So if I do go, I will plan on trying to get some sort of audio interviews for you all here for Fightful Select. So, yeah, I'm looking forward to seeing Sean get in there. That was a tough one. I know me and you both had an idea that that match was probably was a possibility a little while ago, and I was like, I really hope that this comes to fruition. I hope that Sean and Effie actually went up going down and I'm glad it is. I was like seeing Sean get in there. I'm sure Sean and Effie will do some sort of podcast after the match and talk about how it all came together. I don't want to speak on the logistics of it all, but I have insight that I don't know if it's a shoot or a work brother. Oh, okay. No, it's not the bad or anything. It's, I mean, but the match is happening from what Sean told me. I don't know if it was supposed to happen this. That's, that's all I know. Yeah, that's. Well, that's why I was a little surprised just now when you were. When you met when you reminded me that it was this weekend because that was the same the same for me was I didn't think it was happening so fast. But hey, we're getting it. Apparently they didn't have a lot of these in him. Apparently they didn't. Yeah, but yeah, I knew it was going to happen at some point. Yeah, that's a, that's tonight. And yeah, I'm sure we'll talk about that a little bit next week. I'm sure Sean will either appear, he's going to do his own show. He might join in the weeds at some point. Effie might join in the weeds at some point. We haven't been Bishop on in the weeds tomorrow. That's going to be a lot of fun. He was, he faced Roderick Strong on Friday's rampage rating Shaw been Bishop. Nice. Let's get into things. Over a million fans and a great number in the demo tuned in. It was a great show. And I think it's been a run of great shows. AEW dynamite last night dynamite to 50. They've made it to 250 episodes. Steven Jensen. And it was begun by MJF winning the AEW International Championship, defeating Will Osprey with two seconds to spare on the clock. And before going to a 60 minute time limit, they went 59 minutes and 58 seconds. What did you make of the match and then the decision to put the international side on MJF? Well, okay. So this match was obviously incredible. There's a lot of people calling it the best match in the history of dynamite. You don't think so? What would you put above it? I liked Ebony match with Brian Danielson more. So they did Danielson in Omega on my Tuesday. Danielson in Omega was better to me. Danielson in Hangman, which also went 60 minutes was better to me. I'm sure there's other matches that if I think about it, I enjoyed a lot more. Those are two off the top of my head that really stand out. Omega pack. I really enjoyed that was a dynamite match. I think there were, I think, look, I'm not, am I going to put words in other people's mouth if you thought it was the greatest match on dynamite ever more power to you. I do believe that some people were being hyperbolic and what's the preserve of the moment, kind of recency bias of like, wow, that was amazing. And so they just wanted to, you know, how it is online. Anything's got to be the worst ever or the best ever. There can rarely be like a middle ground on these things. If you thought it was the best match ever on dynamite, again, more power to you. It's your opinion on things. I personally did it. Another match that I think deserves a shout out. It was a different, totally different type of match, but I love that Santana Ortiz respect friends parking lot brawl like really, really on a dynamite. That was a, that was great. What was so cool about that to me too is like, because of what AEW. It kind of still represents us, but what it had a really represented when AEW was founded. Was, you know, I'd seen Santana and Ortiz on, on impact. You know, and I'd known them as EYFBO on the NDC. But like, they were in front of a lot more people, obviously, on the turn networks on, on, on AEW. And then like on the best friend side, like, to see. It was, it was cool to see these people in this position because like Chuck had, like had never been on that kind of stage. Pretty much everyone you, you we trained with or he trained himself had like surpassed him as far as like being on like, you know, national television, all this stuff for years and he just never really got his shot in Trent had his quick debit to be run and did great, you know, internationally and stuff. So, just kind of cool seeing all of them have like this moment in orange Cassidy and how over he was and how over he is. So, yeah, it's cool. So there are things that stand out to me throughout the years of dynamite. I do think that this definitely deserves a mention there like, because, so I'm torn on this match for a couple reasons. The main one, that's not the actual match was incredible, but I don't like the finish of like Osprey like not wanting to hit the tiger driver. Like I get to that. Right, like I get that that's, I get that's obviously a story and like they're, they're almost like, they've almost like shoved that down our throats at this point like it's, we are very, very aware he doesn't want to hit this move. So then why is he teasing hitting it and why, like you literally cost him the mat like after this incredible hour long match. It came down to, you know, him just like not finishing the job against MJF and then like all of a sudden there's a rough bump and then I don't necessarily mind MJF using the diamond ring. I mean, because he uses it so often that's basically like a finish or it itself like I kind of expect him to go for that. And most of his matches like so I don't really mind from that sense, but I don't, I don't love Osprey but essentially costing himself the match. He had MJF hanging upside down for like 30 seconds if I hit that thing and just was like, no, I'm not going to do it. It's like, well then, then what were you going to do? Like, do like, I mean, I don't, you, you, it sounds like you kind of agree based on you. I don't like, I don't like that story overall. And I don't like it. It's because Tony Shavani was like, this almost ended Brian Danielson's career. Danielson was out like two weeks and then competed in anarchy in the arena. They're trying to make it seem like this is this really devastating move. The problem is they neutered the move itself by how quickly they brought back Danielson. So it's really not that it's not as devastating as they're making it out to be like a confliction with Osprey. I'm kind of okay with, I get that portion of it. But the problem is, I don't feel it should be that conflicted when Danielson is about to main event all in for the world title after winning a tournament and he competed in anarchy and green after he received this move. And if I'm Osprey, I'm like, oh, all right, this move, it's obviously devastating but like, not really this career ender that you're trying to sell me on it as. I think, I think that a deal a day makes a good point here in the chat, he says, my thoughts, he basically says I would have, you get it if he hit the stormbreaker but he never did. And then if MJF kicked out then, then get it so essentially what I think you love saying is like, he went for the stormbreaker during the match but didn't ever land it and that's his actual thing. Well, he has a few finishers that's one of his finishers, and how do you hit that move and MJF kicked out, then maybe I go for the tiger driver. And I think that's your point about the effectiveness of the move. I don't think he ever used the tiger driver as a finisher, like he never beat someone with it he just like it uses a setup like a really dangerous move and it injured Brian Danielson. But like, if you're trying to finish the match with the best move, like you would want to the stormbreaker like theoretically right, or just another hidden blade. And the other thing to me is like, are you afraid to hurt somebody like you're, you're doing suicide dive stormbreakers MJF can't even see you calling I mean I know he's looking at the screen probably to make sure you know but you know what I mean. But you know, if you're like, you're okay with running and diving and, and you know hitting someone in the back of the head as hard as you can but like you won't drop someone on their head or you won't just like do your finishing move. The guys got that he's got the Oscar he's got that spiral cap type thing he does every now and then like, you know plenty of finishing moves like why would he not the whole point of a wrestling match is obviously to hurt somebody. To pen them for a three counts. The come again the confliction story for me. I don't buy it. I'm not interested in it. It doesn't make sense to me on a lot of levels the biggest one being the Danielson thing but yes, when he does the double underhook he can go right into the stormbreaker like, why do you have to hit. The tiger driver why is this like oh this is the end all be all the tiger driver it's, it's, it's not a story that I think adds anything and really I thought it took away from the match because that it felt like lasted forever at the end there like it just felt like they were killing time until the they could do the the buzzer beater pen fall. And then overall like I'm not the biggest fan of super long matches I think everyone knows I appreciate a good 12 to 18 minute match. That's my wheelhouse anything longer than that you gotta really hold my interest and really like go go full board to hold my interest for for 60 minutes and like this match did that for the most part but there were also just some wall stuff that I just I couldn't bother to get into and when you know when like when you can tell the match is just gonna go about 60 minutes. It's a little it's even tougher for me to kind of be like okay. I'm gonna bite on this pinfall like once they hit the 35 minute mark I was like oh this is going 60 and at that point it's not that I'm taken out of the match. I do and again this is my own personal feeling on it if you feel otherwise more power to you. But once they hit 35 minutes and I could tell they were going 60 I'm like alright well I'm a little less interested in basically everything that happens from here until the finish because I can just tell where this is going. I mean I don't want I understand you're saying but I also don't want to downplay how how good this match was like those guys went out there and busted their asses for that whole hour like and another thing about this is I've had a lot of I've said over the last few months actually for I mean even longer than that really from the time that MJF term babyface and especially once the devil reveal and MJF leaving for injury and then you know since he's come back like I've talked a lot about my concerns about like his character because I know how valuable he is and how valuable he should be especially as a heel and one thing that last night you know is you know for Ben door also in against Rouge and Hissera and all that stuff he's done recently like he's been spotlighting that he's a great injury wrestler and like you know those matches were were very very solid matches but then like this match with Osprey like he went out there and just showed like he really can like he can really he really is one of the best injury wrestlers in the world when he goes out there and like it needs to be like I I want to give him so much credit and Osprey of course and it's crazy because like when Osprey is so good that we just expect this every time we see him you know like the bar for him if he has an average match people are going to say it was divorce match effort you know because like he's just the bar is so high every time we see this guy wrestle but so I want to I really want to highlight highlight that like it was it was an incredible match and I understand if people think it was the best match in dynamite history I do think it definitely needs to be mentioned as one of the best in dynamite history so graduations them for putting on a great a great match with one another as far as the finish didn't love the finish just talked about that but I did like is afterwards so they put the the oxygen on MJF and his eyes are like rolled back at the back of his head like he can't stand on his own and he's like barely holding the title up I don't think I've ever seen a visual like that where someone had the oxygen on but like was holding the title over their head I mean he did that against Danielson after they went it out that's right that's right that's right that's right yeah but that's so that's so gnarly that's so gnarly I love that visual that's very cool that's smart because like they couldn't they couldn't either guy could even stand afterwards like that pinfall pinfall lasted like three minutes are laying there on the ground and talk to each other um but yeah I don't know what else to really say other than like as far as like MJF being the international champion now like I cool I get that's the other thing is like I feel like the international title is like more important in the world title almost because like the matches were seen with this thing which I guess is a good problem to have but it also kind of overshadowed swerve I guess I don't know I'm kind of torn on all of it but I thought the match was great I think it's fine that MJF has that title but I was feeling like MJF should probably be like doing the world championship stuff but this title seems kind of more important than anywhere right now so I don't know how do you feel I don't know if it necessarily feels bigger than the world title we're gonna talk about blood and guts here in a second and I've got issues with the build on that um yeah we'll get in we're gonna see that here in a second as far as going back to the match like I know MJF is a great wrestler I don't always need the MJF goes out and proves he's a great wrestler bit like that he does that to start a lot of his matches it worked a little bit for this one works better than kind of in the past but like we've seen this bit before MJF is gonna prove he is this great wrestler then everybody praises MJF for being this great wrestler it's like we know this we we get caught up in not thinking that just because he doesn't wrestle all about often but every time he goes out there he he always does a great job this was one where it felt like they did it again because they were going so long so yeah let's do the bit where I prove I'm a great wrestler to everybody okay I get it I've seen it before oh yeah I'm probably not as high on this match as I've seen a lot of varying opinions actually again people seem to be of the belief that it's either the greatest dynamite match of all time I've seen a lot of people actually like this match was awful why was this an hour long and then those people get called just a well you're clearly a WWE fan which I don't I know not true because the people I've seen who didn't think the match was good I know we're not going to be fans some people just didn't enjoy the match to that level I didn't hate it I also didn't think it was the greatest match on dynamite history I thought it was a very good match that was a little bit too long with a drawn out finish That's fair I think that big man dogs has a interesting question he says well we have Nakamura vs. Hanahashi for the I.C. title situation and what I think he means by that is like in New Japan at one point the I.C. title was viewed as like equal or maybe even more prestigious than the world championship I'm wrestling kingdom which was a big deal at the time with that way AJ Nakamura I think so Or was it Hanahashi? No I think it was Hanahashi they did like a fan poll and it was it was Tanahashi Nakamura that ended up being Oh that's right yeah but there was a while there like the I.C. title like was at least for me it was the main focus that was back when like I was actually like subscribed to New Japan world like you know like that was Nakamura was a massive draw for me at that time in New Japan like he was one of my favorite wrestlers he still is one of my favorite wrestlers I always love Nakamura but uh yeah I kinda I mean to be honest I kinda do see that with international championship like I'm not I need to give I give it's worth plenty of credit and I continue to like I like him as a role champion I think he deserves the title like I like his character is great matches like nothing against him at all um you know and I do want to see him and hangman at some point again obviously I think him and Danielson is going to be awesome when it goes down at Wembley um so I don't so it's not like it's really necessarily overshadowing because there's great stuff going on there but it is like when you have guys like Osprey and MJF holding that championship the guys who you consider to be world level title title guys and like MJF it's just interesting because also MJF lost the title right before he left the world title I mean he hasn't really targeted getting that title back but he's been focused on this title which makes you kind of feel like well I mean it's got to be important right because MJF wants it you know like I but once again it's not necessarily a bad thing like it's good that you have multiple title belts that have this type of credibility like I'm not these are complaints I'm just I'm just kind of throwing it out there where it's like I wouldn't be surprised if we saw I know that the main event in the show last night was you know was not the international title and it did feature the world champion but like my point is I wouldn't be surprised if we saw more shows that were headlined by the international championship especially if MJF is going to be the champion you know what I mean yeah Osprey has been headlining shows yeah I think they'll continue to move forward doing that with this title I don't know if I don't know how often MJF can defend it though MJF is not the wrestler that will Osprey is in the sense that he doesn't wrestle every week will Osprey goes out there every single week and wrestle MJF is is not that guy and that's what enhances the character so I but I don't think we're going to see a bunch of title defenses with MJF on television maybe they will maybe they'll switch it up and you'll get more MJF TV matches I'm just not going to expect it yeah you're probably right about that I mean it would be nice though if you did wrestle more often but whatever however they want to use them like I yeah I'm an MJF fan so I'm happy that this is happening I'm also an Osprey fan I'm interested to see where all that kind of goes for both guys like power driver finisher mentions in the chat that AW specifically has too many titles I've said I've talked about that plenty like I think they can totally do without the T&T championship for instance at this point probably the continental championship and stuff like but you know that's a whole other kind of conversation but it is a good it's a double edged sword right it's kind of a seesaw like yeah there's too many titles but at the same time they had elevated this international championship pretty well so I mean they've elevated they've definitely elevated the international title at the same time they've downgraded the continental title because that used to be when Eddie had it and was defending it like it seemed like a pretty important title now Akada has it I think he's just in the one eliminated match maybe he had another title defense but he did the one eliminated match that awful match against Old Mo Guerrero because the mask issue and everything that was just that wasn't a good match that wasn't through really the faults of Akada it just wasn't a good match but the continental title is just kind of there yeah yeah you're right I tell you the continental title is just kind of there and then the T&T championship is just kind of there at least how I feel about it I forgot that Jack Perry won that thing and now yeah it's acting titles aren't meaning a whole lot either right now yeah the FTW title like I mean just like it's basically a prop a prop for Jericho right now that's that's that's that's whatever honestly yeah but I'm just saying like it's a it's an unrecognized title that they have sanctioned title matches for con I mean so like it is what they say it or not officially that is also one of their men's singles titles on the show so make it is kind of I feel like you can do without a lot of that stuff but you know it is what it is we had a super chat from Shites on Spares who says my biggest issue with the finish is that one punch with the diamond ring for the pinfall after everything they went through didn't feel like enough that's fair I will say I didn't mind that finish because I kind of look at it as boxing or MMA and that Osprey's guard was down you know he just had this big conflicted why am I why they didn't do the why am I so violent with my hands like they used to do back at NXT but can I be this violent so as guard was down and then if you get hit with a punch that you're not suspecting when your guard is down like that's a knockout and if you get hit with a punch where man has a diamond ring on his hand like that can also be a knockout so that's why I didn't really mind the finish too much Yeah I'm with you and Shites on Spares is diamond ring the brain buster I mean this deal to deal I wouldn't I wouldn't hate that but I mean the diamond ring is enough for me also to be fair like he's beat a lot of people hitting them the head with that ring so big me and dogs also mentions merge the continental and international belts to make the intercontinental title I've said that so many times on this show so I agree with you 100% where you're on the same page there I literally merge those two belts names you have an inter intercontinental championship so but yeah I mean like I said a great match didn't like to fit it I mean I when I say I didn't like to finish I'm not talking about MJF winning at the diamond ring I'm talking about Osprey costing himself the match and a ref bump and then the ring like if it would have just been like a quick you know they're exchanging moves the ref just kind of like it's pie faced or like you know gets kind of out of position for a second MJF just had a couple seconds to slide that thing on and hit him like that I would have no problem with that at all but the way the way that Osprey cost himself and that's the other thing that's the other thing Osprey is being booked great in AEW as far as like being able to get in the ring and have great matches against great opponents so on that sense I think it's been great but on on like the booking side is his character it's been confusing for me because like you have this whole tiger driver thing him costing himself matches and then you also leading up to this had him in the callous family he's a baby face with a heel manager and so it was just that kind of stuff is weird to me like some of the booking decisions for well Osprey like they tried to recorrect that quickly they didn't even do the big turn on Osprey that I think a lot of people were suspecting it was just like I'm leaving Callous like all right sorry yeah oh you're good no you said yeah callous said we've lost your own you're saying like callous callous uh was this like okay with him or at least saying he's okay with them leaving yeah they didn't even like jump him out like you would expect to happen to kind of get extra baby face sympathy on him it was just like I'm leaving okay cool good good good working with you that was it alright sure this despicable heel group is just like leave leave on your own accord maybe they'll come back around to it but I feel like they will um I feel I mean they're probably should I feel like they they will because the story is now will Osprey is not winning without Callous he lost a swerve he lost a he did beat Garcia but then you can kind of blame MJF for that he lost the MJF so maybe the story is they will come back around of Don Callous of hey you you can't win without me dude and so they'll go back to it so I imagine they will go back to it that's that's actually a great point and uh and if they do that I will actually retract what I said about his booking because that actually is an interesting story if he's conflicted he is a baby face the fans are cheering him he's having anger matches but in his own mind storyline wise he's like he kind of crawls back to Callous or at least considers it or so because like he is losing now without him that isn't I hadn't really considered because I was my mindset was just like eventually the California was just gonna like attack him like it's like it'll give Osprey something to do storyline wise after forbidden door or sorry not after after all in or something like that but um but I think you're right actually I think that's actually a really really really good point that needed to be made about all this that I actually think they're doing fine with Osprey the story stuff I like this story going as the swerve match of he thought he's bulletproof he's trying to jump into this feud trying to jump into that feud he's just doing and then it all came back to bite him you have the Callous stuff like I don't mind that stuff at all I don't think the Tiger Driver Confliction is good that part take out and I'm fine with the other stuff I think Osprey is actually being booked okay when it comes to the story stuff obviously having great matches as well. Um, and we'll see where they go it's very possible that they do nothing with this callous stuff like and then What does it say but like like big man dogs has in the chat it's it mentions that he said that Osprey like Callous said that Osprey owes him one whenever in that promo and Osprey left so like they will come back to that like they are going to use that You would think yes they certainly set it up to come back to it I don't I'm not going to uh I'm not going to put the idea out there that they will and then it doesn't happen they certainly set it up but they've dropped other stuff before So I'm not going to pretend like stuff just randomly doesn't get dropped in wrestling and then they just don't go back to it. Oh yeah absolutely stuff that that definitely does happen So it's it's possible I assume they will I'm gonna trust enough that they will but I feel like with Osprey anyway that's just my we were talking about that's my opinion I think that they'll go through with that I feel like they've invested too much in They they gotta have I feel like with someone like Osprey you have to have like a long term plan like even if it doesn't go exactly how you want along the way. He's a guy they're clearly building around so I would I would expect them to go back to that but It's a great point once again that you guys brought up about I was just slipping on my mind about yeah you're right like Osprey's been losing since you've left Don Callous and that's that's a reason for that to continue We move on to the other AEW topic AEW Blood and Guts it's official next week next next next Dynamite next Wednesday team AEW Swerve Strickland Mark Brisco the acclaimed and Darby Allen against the elite Jack Perry the Young Bucks Kazuchiko Kata and Hangman Paige teams came together fully last night with the acclaimed and Darby Allen joining team AEW The team elite was kind of formed last week when Hangman a lot after losing the own final said he was in. How you feeling about this blood and guts match Jensen So I'm not going to talk a lot about this yet because I know you have thoughts about it I can tell um I don't want to I want to hear what you have to say but I'll quickly just mention that I think I think the elite needs to win and I think that there needs to be a lot of interaction and like an important interaction between Hangman and and Swerve which I'm sure is outside of this story of you know The actual story of the elites trying to like really take the company over like the the meta story or whatever you call it kind of going on in the company the main story that I'm actually interested in between these guys is Swerve and Hangman so like I want to see what happens between those guys in this environment and what it leads to um but as far as like the actual teams we talked about this plenty of times about how we expect as because we didn't know how long the whole evil elite EVP story is going to run but We expected to see multiple versions of team AEW throughout the months in these battles and this is a I'll put it this way and I don't want to like it is I want your opinion but I this isn't I don't think this is the team AEW group that's going to be taking down the elite. I'll just put it that way. So how do you feel about this? If this isn't the group that takes down the elite then I don't know who does because I'm I'm kind of over this story. This is a story I had a lot of interest in when they took out Tony Khan Like a lot of interest in that was a big angle. I talked about how this angle didn't need to play out but how I thought it should play out and really it was just highlighting the importance of what happened You know they had Tony in the Nick brace the NFL draft they had Shad Khan come out there like that was it was a big deal And then by the time we got to anarchy in the arena it felt it kind of felt like an afterthought like certainly after anarchy in the arena because there were no stakes in that patch so whoever won which was the elite it didn't feel like they actually won anything They're doing the authority stuff with Christopher Daniels that sucks because he's stripping the bang bang gang of the trio titles for no real reason just to put him in a different match. I don't think that's getting good Brandon color had power for one week but he's just a You know what's going on? It's just fine. It's okay to have stooges like that's oh that's fine but the balance of like who's actually in charge Tony Khan makes certain decisions. Well the elite makes these decisions like which one is it And then you have this match of you can actually add some stakes to say who makes these decisions and they just don't do it. This match has no importance to what anarchy in the arena had to me Just because they have blood and guts on the schedule. The stuff of attacking Tony Khan feels out the window. It feels like it would never happened on the television show. No one's actually like standing up for Tony Khan of what happened Swerve's there because Swerve they came out and they interrupted Swerve and Swerve called them bitches or punk assholes whatever he said the acclaimed were just feuding with the young bucks so hey here's the acclaimed Mark Briscoe is just cool and people like Mark Briscoe so he's in there Darby makes sense because Darby Darby is the guy I said this after revolution and then he got hurt but I thought Darby was a guy you really build around He just has something he has that connection I said it's a shame he got hurt because he couldn't follow up what was going to happen after revolution. He was going to go climb Mount Everest so you weren't going to be able to follow up anyway he was going to miss time regardless But Darby's a guy you really try to build around and last night like the poppy got coming down like Darby is special And he's actual day one AEW like literally day one AEW guy yeah yeah but they're just doing a blood and guts match and the Swerve and hangman story I'm super interested in But it's not like that's not the Wembley match so I'm tying that together is a little odd like I get it but it's just odd because we know it's not leading to Wembley because that's Danielson And that's where you're trying to balance kind of two big matches blood and guts and then Danielson and Swerve but you also have hangman in there and how are you going to pull that off maybe they will I'm not really interested in blood and guts next week though it's it seems like a match where if team AEW wins what do they win? If team elite wins alright they're still just the champions and they still have like the same power it's just a match Yeah I mean and so I guess more importantly than even blood and guts this match specifically at this point do you think that the whole there's like the whole elite Like when you consider this whole thing to be like a flop basically like this whole heel turn Jack Perry, Okada like kind of everything that they're doing right now like to get to where they got like do you think this has been kind of like a miss I don't want to call it a flop because I think that implies that like nothing is working Passion, drive and patience the formula for winning championships is also what keeps your rider die alive eBay Motors has everything you need to maintain your vehicle and level it up to peak performance Superchargers, roof racks, exhaust kits, LED headlights and more whether you're into speed, power or style eBay Motors has you covered With over 122 million parts for your number one rider die you'll always find exactly what you're looking for And with eBay guaranteed fit your part is guaranteed to fit your ride every time or your money back Because with eBay Motors you're burning rubber not cash With all the parts you'll need at the prices you want it's easy to make your car the MVP and bring home huge wins Keep your rider die alive at ebaymotors.com Eligible items only, exclusions apply What's next? I get what you're saying, at the end of the day, it's still wink-nod comedy heel stuff And to do multiples of that can lessen the value of both and to do that as a main event act when you're supposed to be the serious Or at least you should be played as more serious, it definitely lessens the value Yeah, yeah, you're right, I think that a lot of this comes back to what you mentioned with Tony Khan getting attacked And how, I don't think the follow-up to that was ever like really capitalized on with them being like vicious heels Because also, I mean like Tony was wearing the neck brace during the NFL draft all that stuff but I thought it was kind of funny They got a lot of publicity and stuff too, but again, the follow-up just wasn't there, it wasn't And in Chatham's versus Jack Perry's actually been very good in this role, Jack Perry has brought a seriousness, hangman page, I think has done a good job It's been smaller segments but we know what hangman page is after, we know he is serious, they've been okay The Bucks have been a little, have not been the threats that you would want them to be And Okada, I know he's done well in television, people love the bitch line and everything, like it's funny But he probably shouldn't be doing that in this act So I see, I'm torn on Okada because I like that he's showing this kind of personality and because obviously, I shouldn't say obviously But for the record, I don't speak Japanese, so like when he was in New Japan, I don't know, because basically when I was seeing him in New Japan I was just seeing his matches and then just whatever I was hearing on, I actually preferred to listen to Japanese commentary over American commentary But I didn't vibe in the feel of the show, just my preference I've actually done that with anime movies before where I'll listen to the Japanese but I'll read the subtitles but I like the experience And anyways, the reason I'm saying this is because I don't know how much Okada showed this personality in Japan You know what I mean, I don't know if he was a funny guy to the crowd or if he was way, way more serious Because what I saw was just a bunch of serious matches when I was watching him, but I don't know how funny he was, how much personality he was showing outside of the matches that I was watching So I do like that he has a character on AEW and that he's got layers to him, but the flip side of it and what I've seen from people who don't like this is There are a lot of people that are fans that I think have a good point that don't really want to see this version of Okada and they're like, dude, you're paying him multiple millions of dollars a month And we want to see the Okada that we know from the Omega matches and all the rest of the Kingdom runs that he was on and all this stuff It's just like a different type of Okada that we're getting than what I think people were expecting I'm going to start saying that was a bad thing, I actually like that he showed personality, but there is the fine line there between being too goofy and too unserious and being the guy that they signed for all this money if that makes sense Yeah, and I think they're leaning too much into the goofiness that for this angle doesn't work, but they've neutered this angle so much that maybe in my head I think it's bigger than they actually care for it to present it But if you're doing an entire show around it, it's blood and guts, if you did, I just go back to the Tony Khan attack and I'm just like, that was a moment, that was a moment where so many people were talking about the company You had a lot of eyeballs and attention on you, especially Tony where the neck brace had the draft, it could have been so much bigger They barely reference it, they don't show it on television, I don't know, I'd be replaying this thing every single week of just here's Tony Khan getting attacked, it's a big deal In hindsight, and we don't have to talk about this long but just quick answer, kind of yes or no, like in hindsight, do you think it was worth showing the footage of Jack and CM Punk when they did Yes, like I understand the point and it worked to bring back Jack, the timing was obviously the timing I think it helped Jack Perry, I definitely think it helped Jack Perry, I agree, I agree, I agree, I think they could have still done a better job with the follow-up Jack benefited, the actual overall follow-up just hasn't been as good as it should have been We do have another Super Chat for Snatchhouse, but it feels like another situation where injuries derailed the initial plans and the pivot has been very lackluster If the only injury to me would have been Copeland, Copeland may have been part of this, and maybe he would have been in the Mark Brisco spot, I don't know if another injury I think Darby probably would have been involved right away, I know he was in Everest, but like, actually maybe because he was doing Everest he wasn't going to be involved actually You're right, I'm trying to think of other people that would have been I think they could have, I'm not fully buying the Darby thing because if we go back to anarchy in the arena, okay, I can maybe buy some injury because Eddie Kingston was supposed to be involved in that, maybe Eddie was also going to be involved in blood and guts Not sure, but they kind of lucked out in that Darby got in that spot, and Darby was just as good as Eddie in that spot Darby could have still been on television in some instance before a couple weeks ago to help build this Copeland was fully off FTR, I don't know if they were going to be in this spot because they were doing that match against Claudio and Yuta that went to a draw I don't know if it was necessarily going to be then in this match, it feels like it might have always been the acclaimed And the injuries, I don't think that's a good enough excuse for them pivoting because the injuries did not impact the bigger story of power Because you could have still told that story with the acclaimed, with Darby missing time, with Swerve there, you could still tell that story That had nothing, the injuries of FTR and Darby off had nothing to do with the story of Tony Khan being attacked and the overall story of power Because you could have done the same thing, the acclaimed actually would have made more sense, they would have been more upset than FTR because the acclaimed would have just been like Now Tony Khan was a guy who put us together, saw something in us, and looked what we've done for him, Darby always made sense, and the spot Mark could have sold that a little bit more of how Tony Khan was always there And after Jay's passing, Tony Khan fought for us to get us on TV, and now I want to repay by being in AW Swerve, same thing, like Swerve kind of referenced it in that first promo, he just called it a bitch move And that was it, so I don't think the injuries, I'm not going to, yeah the pivot hasn't been good, I understand you, it's not an excuse, you're saying that it's a big problem, AW can't see the bookground injuries That's been, that has been an issue, but in this case, the injuries should not have impacted the overall story Yeah, I'm with you, I'm with you, we know we got some other topics, we got to get to Who do you think wins the Blood and Guts match real quick? Delete Delete? Yeah, I think this continues, I don't think this is the AW squad that's going to take them down yet Who is? I don't know, I don't know, we don't have time for me to go through the roster and pick out the dream team, but I think I better swab them what we're getting in that score It'd be 2-0 in Elite, at that point, maybe they'll issue the third challenge as well, even though they won the first two Yeah, I mean, listen, I will say the badass moment for Darby coming down like Stink from the Raptors, I love that in the Iron Man He should take them all out on his own He's the man, I've been saying to RB since they, I mean, I can't say, well, I was a fan of his On The Indies I got it, I've talked about it a thousand times, I haven't seen live in Chattanooga against Joe Janela in like 2017 or something And I was like, oh my god, this guy's incredible, he's just, he's small, like WWE's not going to ever want this guy, this sucks This sucks, this guy's never been on TV, and then AW comes around and I'm like, oh my god, he's got a shot, this is great And I was in Atlanta when he made a return, he saved, he saved, it was Moxley was getting beat down by the Inner Circle Unlike an early Dynamite, and Darby made his return after like being off for a few weeks, and his reaction was massive And that's when I knew I was like, B.W. Audience, he's one of their guys forever, I think So yeah, I'm a big Darby guy, so I'm much more concerned than I hope that coming out of this, I mean, he should be in the world He should have been in the world title mix after the sting retirement, in my opinion, so I mean, he's, I'm, it's all good, I'm a Darby guy I need to finish the story, in the WWE the story never finishes Gunther and Damian Priest had a confrontation on Monday's Raw, Damian Priest was saying I was living on the streets, I fought for my dream Battle, I had to work my way up, now I'm the WWE World Heavyweight Champion Gunther said, you still suck your street trash, I'm going to crush all your hopes and dreams, because I'm the greatest wrestler of all That paraphrasing all of this Yeah, what'd you think of all this, Jensen? I really like this, I like Gunther a lot And seeing Gunther and Damian face-to-face really like drives home, kind of like how large Gunther is Like how tall he is, because he lost a lot of size over the years as far as like weight He was a much larger human being years back, but I always forget how tall that guy is Because like him and Damian are like the same height, and I mean I love Gunther's matches, I think it's inevitable I really feel like he should be the world heavyweight champion coming out of SummerSlam, I really think he should win that match And I like the international, I mean there's a lot of international, you know Superstars in the WWE obviously, but like we're getting more and more towards the top Like obviously Damian being the champion, then you got Gunther just like everyone looks different, sounds different, has different types of moves And like a different vibe without them, I like how kind of fresh everything feels right now And I think that that's part of it for me is like seeing the two of them go back and forth, I feel like I don't know if one guy or the other necessarily won the battle, like I guess I'd give it to Gunther, but at the same time Like it made me way more interested in the match against one against those two guys because I was trying to think of all these ways In recent months how they were gonna figure this out with Gunther getting the title shot at SummerSlam I was thinking, okay well Seth Rollins gonna win the championship, is McIntyre gonna win the championship? I really didn't think they were gonna go with Priest vs Gunther, I really didn't, I thought Priest was gonna lose the title before this And after seeing the two of them in front of each other and going back and forth you can tell, okay Priest is being built as the babyface And they've been heading this direction for a while with him with the Judgment Day, he's kind of been the good guy for a while, he hasn't wanted the help of the Judgment Day He's been trying to figure out this whole thing between Dom and Liv and Rhea and Carlito and everything going on and ballers in the background Plotting you can tell and so it's clear now by the time we get to SummerSlam it'll be very definitive, babyface, Damian Priest, heel, Gunther And yeah I think Gunther should win the championship, but I will say I think it was effective, I think on Monday Like they effectively sold me a lot more on the two of them wrestling each other as a very real thing and that is gonna be the match And they're giving us reasons why the guys don't like one another heading into this, so I liked everything about this I've got Priest beating Braun Strowman in a very definitive fashion, did a lot for him as well because all of his wins have been basically through help from by other parties So him being able to defeat Strowman, pre-clean there was good work, and I do like that Priest addressed actually in a video package that aired a couple weeks ago People say I need help to win these matches, look at every champion, who hasn't needed help to win these matches Like this is just how it is guys, and I don't know if you fully want to point that out, I'm like yeah basically all these title matches just kind of have some interference shenanigans But at least he addressed that, look Roman Reigns had help in every match, Cody Rhodes had help from freaking Bollywood actor against Logan Paul, like all these guys had help Cody Rhodes had help from not Steve Austin at WrestleMania, all these guys got help to win these matches, it's not just me On a side note, this is an honest question, did Strowman get injured or was he just selling really well against Priest? I think he was just selling well, I don't think he's hurt He hit the barricade super hard, and then he fell when he was going for the power slam, but that would make sense if he was selling, he just, I just want to put it out there, if he was selling he sold it really well And also, I noticed at the end of the show, when Braun Breaker did the spear, like when he ran around the ring and spear, Dragonol, Dragonol was like this guy caught behind him, I was worried about that, so I don't know, that's kind of stuff I look out for That's like the, especially like the MMA fan in me or like the football fan in me, I'm always, I don't like that I look out for that stuff but I'm so used to seeing like, you've seen it a thousand times in MMA where someone gets like head kicked or something, they get knocked out really bad And most people are looking at like their head and how they hit the ground, but a lot of people are noticing they're landing on their own knees, like a lot of the time they get knee injuries by the way that they're falling on the knockouts, so I'm always like paying attention to stuff like that That stuff scares me, but yeah, just wanted to throw that out there, some really good selling and some near injuries I feel like on Raw as well but I think Strowman is a little, the injuries have just sort of slowed him down overall, and he just doesn't move as well as I used to, well he had, I think it's back fusion surgery and everything, he's a bigger dude I just think he's just kind of, the toll has been taken on him, so I'm sure everything hurts a little bit more and he's making it, it looks a little bit worse than maybe it did before when he was kind of presented indestructible monster It happens, like people get older, injuries especially, major injuries like that, they're gonna look bad, yeah the dragon off one looked rough, that spear, looked like it got caught up a little bit, but it seems like he's fine, which is good Yeah, yeah, so yeah, it's worth keeping a lot on Strowman I think, I think it's a good call, I can tell just, I'm big on body language, like I could tell when Strowman even when he was walking down to the ring before the match even started And I'm not sitting here, I don't want to misdiagnose someone, I'm obviously not a doctor, but I think he has something up with either his hip or maybe one or both of his knees, just the way that he walks, there's a different, you can tell he's in pain or there's something There's something up, once he gets, it's actually the same with CM Punk a lot of the time, when those guys don't have the adrenaline going, once you get the adrenaline all of a sudden you're able to do everything, you start running around, you start beating up the crowd, it's amazing to see it But if you see someone like CM Punk like not warmed up, because he's always as much crap as I could see him Punk, like he's put his body through it over the years, I mean, and when he walked, he walked kind of like with a limp a little bit when he's just walking around, but then when he's ready for a match, he's moving good, you know, so Yeah, just this is worth looking out for that kind of stuff, but yeah, all these guys, we probably don't credit them enough for this as much as we critique wrestling and stuff like that, but all of these performers that we're talking about deserve so much respect because they are all constantly in pain for our entertainment, so in for their profession to be fair, but it's their own pain Yeah, yeah, all right, the other WWE topic, Logan Paul and LA Knight, yeah, people know that you are not the biggest LA Knight fan in the world, I would say go as far as say you were LA Knight Hater, you don't understand him, you don't get why he's so popular, you think he's a rock and Steve Austin rip off, you believe that he shouldn't even be in WWE I never did that far, everything else up to that point was it was accurate though, he shouldn't be in WWE, he should still be doing infomercials on late nights television, yeah, what meanwhile you're a huge, huge fan of Logan Paul, for some reason How are you feeling about this match? Paul would ever finish with says he's also not a Taker fan, so don't try that, she's an agency, who's not a Taker fan, who am I missing? Me, I'm about to take over you, that's what you're talking about, but let me talk to you, that's actually pretty funny Okay, the issues I had with LA Knight, I actually don't have as much issue with anymore, mainly when I was going hard on the LA Knight Hate was when there were people out there that were trying to, when the pie driver says you, do you mean you or like me or Jeremy, I'm a big Undertaker fan now obviously But the thing with LA Knight was there were a lot of people, they were the big part of the fan base that were saying like, it should be him and not Cody, and that's where I was getting really defensive There was a lot of talk back then about Sami Zayn taking down Roman Reigns and LA Knight taking down Roman Reigns, and I had to be diamond hands and be strong here and work through this You've been Sami Zayn? Yes, powder or finisher, I can't get off of this, I have an Undertaker beanie that I wear most of the time now, okay? Just 'cause he held Cody, that's a fake fan! Well, some people might not like hearing this because I know he has some controversial taste occasionally, but of all the wrestling content I consume, most of it right now is his podcast, so I actually do enjoy listening to Undertaker talk about wrestling I'm a bigger fan of the Undertaker as like him just like shooting the shit that I was of like a fake dead person, his whole career, like I kind of wish he was doing this the whole time In hindsight, the American badass I was actually maybe more of a fan of than anything else that he had done, except for saving Cody, which of course was a heroic move and really put him in good good good status for me Still a lot better than Sting, though, but anyways LA Knight, yeah, he cuts the same promo every time I see him It is what it is, I do stand by, he is a clone of the 90s wrestlers that I grew up on, the 80s wrestlers, guys like Steve Austin and The Rock specifically It takes a lot from, takes a lot of inspiration from, but at this point I've accepted that that's what it is, and I feel like the fan base just accepts that, like it isn't nobody's denying that that's what he's doing I've compared him before to Callersman CO, which I actually don't even mean as like too much of a disc, because Callersman CO deserves to be a disc, but like, I think LA Knight's really good with other people's stuff It takes like something that entertaining that somebody else did and just make it like super amplified, and if the fans in the WWE haven't heard it before, then they're like, this is incredible Like this guy's different, you know, but I'm just watching it go and yeah I remember when Austin said that, I remember The Rock said that But anyways, it doesn't matter, he's over, that's all it matters, he's over I think that him and Logan Paul will be good, people know I feel about Logan, I talk about all the time how impressed I am by him and the wrestling ring, I think he's perfect for the WWE Behind the scenes, y'all can do your research on his excapades in Japan, y'all can do your research on zucoin and dinked a wink, and all this other stuff he's been involved with, his lawsuit with Coffeezilla, y'all can do all I'm very aware of what's going on with Logan Paul Prime and everything is the most recent Mr. Beast video, shout out to Mr. Beast, because he needs a shout out from us here on our channel, with our viewership But so I'm very aware whenever people are like, you shouldn't like Logan Paul, he's a terrible person, I'm like, I probably know more about Logan Paul than you do He's met Logan Paul, he was actually really nice to me in person, so it's one of those things where I have a lot of thoughts on the guy, so at the end of the day, I think he's incredibly athletic, he's a fast learner, he's very famous, he brings in a different audience This drink is a sponsor of the show at this point, with not just the WWE, also the UFC, so he's obviously a valuable commodity for the WWE to have, and I think he does a great job on their show, I think he's done a great job as the US champion when he's been around, he has great matches I think he's got a lot of different with L.A. Knight, and I expect L.A. Knight to probably beat him for the championship, and that'll put L.A. Knight a little more mainstream also, which is, you know, the more that they can make him almost like the, I hate to make this comparison because this is like my favorite of all time I'm almost like a macho man type guy, because I know that they've got him in the Slim Jim commercials before, and I think if they can kind of make him more mainstream, because a Logan can help make him a more mainstream name, especially if there's all these clips online of Logan losing to L.A. Knight and all these new fans are like, who's this guy who beat Logan Paul, and then you look and he's got these over the top promos, he's snapping into a Slim Jim I feel like maybe some non wrestling fans would see that and they'd be like, oh man, I haven't seen a wrestler like this in a while, this reminds me of the 90s wrestler, maybe this could work to make him an even bigger actual mega star, he calls himself the mega star I think this could help, so yeah, contrary to what you may have thought when we chose this topic, I actually have no problem with L.A. Knight at this point, I really know, I think that what he's doing is working, he's no threat to Cody's champion Cody's already beat Roman, so yeah, it's fine, I think this is gonna be a good match, and I think L.A. Knight's gonna win He should beat Logan Paul, and then beat Cody Rhodes So I disagree with that, but here's the other thing, at some point Cody's gonna have to lose the championship, right, and I think that he's gonna hold it at least till WrestleMania, or at least at least at the very least till Royal Rumble, I can't wait to be there live, my brother's hookup for the tickets at State Farm is saying he's got a set for Bad Blood, so I'm planning to be there, and I can't wait to see Cody bring the championship home to Atlanta, so he's got a lot he's got to do with that title But at the end of the day, whether it's the rock eventually coming back, or Roman coming back is like a mega babyface, or whatever winds up happening, Cody eventually may be turning heel at some point, but if that happens, it's gonna be a while from now My point being somebody's eventually gonna have to beat him for the championship, so I'm not even gonna necessarily say L.A. Knight shouldn't be that guy, depending on the build and where everything is at, maybe it is L.A. Knight eventually I don't want to be that big of a hater to say that he's outtaken his coverage so far, in my opinion, from the expectations I had it, because that's the other thing, me and you watched this guy for like two decades doing this in other companies where it was okay, but I never would have imagined he'd be this over for this long and have this type of spot in the WWE that he's got, doing the same stuff just in front of their audience, like, and it's worked So, you know, honestly, if I ever met the guy, I would shake his hand, look him in the eye and be like, dude, congratulations, man, like, you rule, like, I would, I would, I'd sim for that dude, like, I actually think it's really impressive what he's accomplished So, I think in the ring, he's not good, like, I really don't, like, I think he's very average in the ring and he does the people's elbow basically and a stunner basic I mean like, but it's working. So, like, who am I to say you shouldn't be doing that and it's working He's not being offensive, he's not offended anyone, you know what I mean? He was very great in NWA, and that was at a time when NWA was actually kind of good, because they had like star, they actually was good, when Power started and they had stars in Kingston, like you said, and they had a whole, I mean, that was one of the coordinates All this was good in that role, like, Camille was hot at the time, like, they had some talent They did, they did, anyway, now it's a show Yeah, our product is what it is, we're going straight up the middle I have a bumper as an NWA bumper, still, TNA Slammerversary is this weekend, will quickly kind of run things down, the biggest thing is the world title match Do you see a new world champion being crowned? I do, by process of elimination, just kind of thinking out loud, I talked about this on the weekend or a little bit as well, did some predictions I just don't see Macklin, Nemeth or Kazarian winning, just for various reasons, I just don't see three of them being the champion and winning that thing I think it would be great for Alexander, but I don't think that Alexander, I shouldn't say this, I'm a huge fan of his, but I feel like we already have seen the best TNA world title on the list I don't know what his status in the company is, but he should be a main event level guy, but I also feel like with this crossover, he also should be showing up in NXT and mixing up with those talents also and stuff I shouldn't say a dark horse in this, because he's been a former champion and he is kind of like a favorite I guess right then in the day, but I just don't see him winning this one I just don't see him moving forward to moose and Joe Hendry, and I feel like if you're doing a six-way match, it is elimination, but I feel like he puts five other people in there, it's like a good reason to have moose lose also He's got points at Joe Hendry to me, like, I mean, between... Yeah, I mean, and especially the obvious with the crossover that is mentioned between NXT and TNA, he's the one who's been spotlighted the heaviest of all that by far And he deserves it, the guy has gotten himself very over, he's been very good in the ring for a long time, he's got good size, great charisma, and he can work in both companies back and forth like he's massively over, he's one of those over people in NXT Have him there, have him in TNA, and I think it's a slam dunk, I think it should be Joe Hendry, what about you? I agree with you, I had an argument with, not an argument, friendly discussion with Joel yesterday about who should win, and he's still believing in that it's moose because they're building towards moose, finally losing it bound for glory to whoever they're going to What's next? Joe in the chat asked how you watch GCW, it's on Trover TV Plus And I'm not an indoor sponsor to tell you that, but that's where to check it out I think I'm grandfathered in at like five a month, but I think it's only like $8 a month or something like that And all the GCW shows are there, so that's where you'd watch GCW But yeah, I'm with Joe Hendry as well. I think that's the best choice. I think you should be him Yeah, anything else from what else from this card stands out to you? Um, I mean obviously speedball versus Ollie, that's going to be a banger. I would like to see speedball win. I mean Ollie has done a great job since leading the WWE. I have no problem with him continuing to his reign as ex division champion He's actually defended that title outside of TNA as well a little bit, which is cool But I think it'd be a pretty cool moment for speedball to get that. There's not a whole lot of people out there But speedball hasn't beat on a big stage I feel like that he's had an opportunity to I feel like a win over Ollie would be one of the bigger things he could accomplish in TNA right now And I've always said, I've said for years that I think speedball is one of the most consistent Great match workers in the world as far as every single time he sees speedball It's similar to Will Osprey in a lot of ways. I compare those guys a lot to one another because The expectations are always so high no matter who the opponent is and speedball is always going to deliver And Ollie is one of the best in ring wrestlers you can find. So I'm going to take speedball to win there It's kind of like an upset, but I think it's gonna be a great match I hope AJ Francis and PCO don't kill each other out there for the TNA digital media championship But I'm sure that'll be a fun one. There's also the committee international heavyweight title in the line there ABC vs. System, I think will be pretty good. I like everyone in the match Jordan Grace and Ash, I don't have huge expectations for because I've never been like the biggest Anna Brooke fan, but I'm a huge Jordan Grace fan So like I hope it's good and if Jordan loses, I hope she doesn't, but if Jordan loses I hope that that's just because she's going to NXT or WWE full time where they're going to move her Into the actual world title picture for TNA maybe But I would hope she wins, but they've been building up Ash since she debuted in TNA to like be the one to maybe be Jordan So I could see her beating Jordan. I'm just a huge Jordan fan, so I don't want to see it And also militia vs. Spitfire. I think it'll be a really good tag to match. I like all the women involved there And I hope that militia retains. So that's pretty much everything else I am looking forward to speedball and Ollie. They've been building speed Or they've been building kind of Ollie's first loss And it feels like speedball in Montreal is the time. Yes, that's a great point as well So I think that's probably going to be the match of the night. Don't Not sure if there's yet too much competition. They might add one more match. I would But the six, the sixth way is going to go a long time because it's an elimination match. That's going to get a lot of time I would get the Rascals on this show and maybe it's against no quarter catch crew. I know they're facing tonight even though it's Kushida But the Rascals against no quarter catch crew. Maybe you can get Wesley and you do Rascals and no quarter catch crew I would get the Rascals on this show a hundred percent though, especially after what happened with them being on NXT on Tuesday This is stuff you just got to capitalize on 1 million percent. It was great seeing the Rascals on NXT by the way on Tuesday getting that win and that six-way or that six-man tag And yeah, if anyone who wants to watch the post show and my thoughts on same anniversary, I'll be alive Right here on this channel, youtube.com/fightful with Joel Pro and press the star I'll be reviewing the show right afterwards. So please join us for the post show review The other other topic AJ Styles, Noam, and Chief Mary Fuji at Pro Wrestling Noah this past weekend Are we thoughts on this Jensen? Bad ass that it happened. I loved I loved AJ's entrance I thought that looks so cool with him coming down the ramp. He was wearing like that mask you would wear every now and then Japan The smoke behind him and stuff with like the all black. I just I love the visual of this thing and how big of a deal they made all this seem and more Fuji can still go at such a high level like for all the miles and years that that guy has put on his body and his style of wrestling He still hits really crisp strikes and he can still fly around and stuff and I thought that this was really good The ending sequence was badass last few minutes this match for like for awesome You know and also AJ really put over more Fuji after the match to he did some interviews and he was basically saying like if I saw himself phenomenal except for me it'd be him, you know, and there's a You guys have to do a lot of a lot of research to see the history of moral Fuji and how much he means to the wrestling business in general, but I mean the first time I saw him I think he was he was still team with Kenta all the way back then And like the you know, I've got to see him live a few times and stuff and just it's an experience The guys just so all respected. It's just it's awesome that the WWE allows this now I actually saw my buddy Doug put this out there on social media and I think this is a great idea Don't know if it had ever happened, but just the idea of like, okay, we're seeing AJ popping up at other companies They don't know how much longer we're gonna have him around But what if and this is a whole other conversation we might need to put this up next week But if they can do like in a like a talent exchange or like at some point like when edge comes back Like if they want to do edge versus John Cena and John Cena's retirement like you lend WWE edge and AJ comes over for a w for one match against Kenny or something like I just feel like AJ the possibilities are endless. There's more for him to accomplish before he's done and him or smart Fuji was awesome So very very cool that we got it and mad respect to both guys It was a great match. It was good to see AJ back in that environment and I don't think AJ Is washed as people like to claim Especially the matches with Cody earlier this year. I think I've not washed at all. Yeah at all. I think that really cool go Yeah, no, no, I want that one. Hey dad. I think I think that was really puts a bed in those matches But certainly the the Marifuji match kicked it up to another gear as well So it was great to see him in the environment. I don't think you're gonna ever see a talent exchange like that Better chance of AJ making a TNA appearance. I think he's gonna be announced for the TNA Hall of Fame That would be awesome I would love to see AJ back in TNA even if it was just the Hall of Fame or a one-off match or something He he was that company when T when AJ left TNA is when TNA died and became impact as far as I was concerned and they did rebrand around that time anyways, but Yeah, AJ I've talked about it plenty of times in the show but AJ Styles is on a very very very short list to me of if you say he is the best overall professional wrestler of all time There are arguments I think you can make against it for other people potentially but he should be in that conversation of Legitimate go I got and he's still wrestles at it. He's still one of the best wrestlers on the world He just doesn't have to go out there and do spiral taps and back handspring You know DDT is up anymore and every one of his matches. He's just He's the man Let's move on quickly to our indie spotlight. I want to give a big mother fucking shot out We're gonna talk a lot to Adam Priest here in about four to five minutes about winning the SEI Tournaments, but before we actually talked to Adam Priest about all that Jensen always thoughts on the tournament Correctly picking it by the way. I'll put you. Yes. Thank you. I did choose Adam Priest to win the tournament He did win. It was fantastic. It was an awesome weekend. There was TWE and then We had STI night one then actions future showcase which Jamison shook one Which we were planning on interviewing Jamison next week by the way and so look out for that right here on this channel on this show next Thursday But it was Gracie and Jamison when the future showcase Gracie and Priest when when the whole thing He had made the finals three years in a row finally got the job done this year And we can leave more of the SEI talk to the interview because there's plenty of that you're about to hear With Prius, but I I very very much enjoyed the weekend. It also Congratulations on a great career to Dana Macabre who retired after his match against Kevin - But a little Brian Danielson come yes and faces him. Yes me and Jeremy are both hoping that when Danielson When I quote-unquote retires full-time from AEW here soon that he goes on an indie run in Russell's guy like Dana Macabre So that'd be great to see And then prestige wrestling. I don't know if you watched Athena. I did or Smosh a slim of it shorty thoughts on that one Great match is cool. I mean you got the ROH women's world champion versus one half of the TNA knockouts tag champs Bad ass match between the two ladies I Thought Masha had her a few times like she got her with like a white knight driver at one point And it was really good back and forth match The finish of course Athena, you know winds up hitting with the with the title belt to get the win but it was a good environment and that and I that this show for under the radar because I Don't know when it changed But I was used to watching prestige shows on IW TV and I didn't see prestige on there this past week And then I realized they did this it's for free on their YouTube channel So if you guys want to watch the show it is totally for free and there are great matches on there So I'd recommend checking out prestige just search for siege on YouTube and watch it for free But uh, but yeah, I mean people know how I feel about Masha She's legitimately one of my favorite wrestlers in the world She's chosen in every company that she's a part of whether it's the indies or TNA or anywhere I really hope that she is someone that is able to pop up on NXT sometimes soon because I think she would get massively over in front of that audience In Athena is having the best run I mean the best run a woman has ever had in the history of the ring of honor brand right now I mean you really think about it. So for more can you really say this is a great match in the finish? I don't mind because it's like, you know, you got to figure out a way to beat one of the two and You know, Athena it's on brand for her to do what she did. So Yeah, that that match and Chris Chris I've been Alex Shelley where the two standout matches to me on that show, but it's a really a show It's like just over two hours as well like it's relatively Short which I was appreciate in a wrestling show Yeah, I would highly recommend the prestige show is free online Alpha one also ran a show on Sunday. That's free online. That's on their YouTube So if you're looking for some free wrestling to watch those are two shows that are easily accessible Yes, also really quick before I clock in for the shoot job Joe in the chat mentioned Charlie Jen Charlie Dempsey going to GCW He had done some stuff in GCW in the past already with blood support Going to check that out available on Troy TV plus also over on WTV independent wrestling TV use code fight talk. Let's the platform. No better sending you their way There was a I W absolution also. Yeah happen this past weekend That show was great We had West Barkley leave as the intense champion we had PME leave as the tag champions But Chuck Stone still on up leaving as the absolute champion the main event Why not beating Isaiah Broner and they tease that they're gonna do a four-way match on the spot right afterwards and Chuck Stone Bailed like a coward caches King loses all their titles except for their main championship once again being Chuck Stone but Check that show out. That was a great event from top to bottom from a I W They put on and we was legitimately one of the best in my opinion one of the best independent productions in the world So if you're not already checking their stuff out check it out ratio for absolution For a W. There you go. All right Jensen let everybody know where they can find you X fight talk underscore Please listen to the fightful select weekend or podcast. I think that's it Thank you everyone who watched. Thank you for everyone who watches, you know on demand and everyone who's in the chat live today You're early on a Thursday morning. Good to see you good to see you Jeremy And I'm gonna go clock in for the shoot job. Happy Thursday, everyone Enjoy let's get into our interview with Adam Priest who won the SCI tournament this past weekend He also won the DPW national championship this past weekend Oh, he wanted two weeks ago, but it just aired this past weekend. We're gonna talk to Adam Priest about that We talked to him about the R which supercard of honor earlier this year and work in Wrestlemania weekend He buried LeBron James for the last 20 minutes of the interview Oh, a lot to talk about I found a priest one of the best independent wrestlers out there So here we go in the creator spotlight at a priest Welcome to the creator spotlight here on the spotlight on Fightful I am Stephen Jensen joining us always by Jeremy Lambert and our guest today is the former New South and two-time action wrestling world champion the current DPW national champion and coming off of a huge weekend. He is your current reigning defending tournament winner of the scenic city vocational 2024 We have any style Adam Priest joining the show priest has got to be good to you be right now, man Some would play that. I don't know. It's pretty tough on me right now, but thanks for having me on a long time to see Thanks for having me back on guests. Yeah, we appreciate you joining us All right Jensen before we get into all the wrestling stuff because there's a lot to talk about wrestling wise Adam have you played college football 25? No, I had this argument today. Listen My lady friend brought up that hey, I need to give her her PS4 back Because I've had it for months, and I don't play it at all So I have my MLB and my mad and all that but I'm getting a streak where I play for a few days And I won't touch it for months, but I've been busy the last three days I'm you know, so bouncing around traveling and this and that so I may be downloading it tonight What depend on how my night goes, but I'm definitely ready to get my dynasty going to take over for saving and I and get the ball rolling You know, I mean look well in this interview early if we have to so you can play this was I was excited to talk to you about it No jumping right into dynasty. I took Kent State I like taking a small school and trying to build from there So I'm one year into my Kent State dynasty. I pulled an all-nighter on one day night I was on six in the morning playing it as ever grown man You know, what's funny is like I seen a video earlier today, and they were talking about It was like a skit where they were making fun of like a commentator He's like oh the UNLV the best team in the ACC is on their fifth year dynasty You know, and it's so funny cuz I remember I would do like loss bait like UNLV and put them in the pack So it it's definitely funner to take the lower-level programs and bring them up You know, I mean yeah I like like taking the low schools, you know, and then working my way to it to an Alabama or an Ohio State or something like that Like I wasn't the kid that just made everybody 99 overall like I make sure I had my one guy on the left on The defensive side and one guy on all fences, and I built the rest like I would build two good guys But then you got to build the rest, you know That's the way to do it. Well, I wish you fun times ahead with the game But I had to get that get that out of the way to see if you would play it or not go ahead Jensen Well, I want to start this off I want to start this off on a little bit of a call back so Last week we had spot Hensley on the show we previewed the SCI tournament and we did a little bit of predictions here and I Chose Adam Priest as the winner of the tournament like I can start you're you're you're my pick. It's on record Everyone saw me pick you you Accomplished the mission in pretty convincing fashion. I mean the way that you ran through Jaden Newman in the first round I mean the way that you defeated Mander's gonna get to all this stuff by the way, and then of course in the four way Getting it done, you know the finals What was the experience like because obviously you have a lot of experience in the southeast for all these promotions You've made it to the finals of the SCI I think three years in a row this being the first time you went all the way and won it So how's it feel and what was it like you know being you know not only in the tournament but winning it this year? Yeah, a third time's a charm so that was good on you get on me I Guaranteed for two years that I was gonna win it and I finally did so I kind of made a fool of myself But I finally got it right for once Yeah, I still don't want it two years ago But here I am and I got beat by fluke last year and here I am I made it a point that I wasn't there to play around this year, and I said that when I was asked to begin it I said well, it's gonna end one way and that's the way it went and It was good like you said make quick work in Jaden Think Jaden's worn out. He he's had a lot of matches in that building and I think there's Not another guy that's had more matches in that building than Jaden I'm probably number two as far as matches inside that building and as far as wins inside the building so It just went real well for me Me and manners probably had the best match of the tournament. I would say Because it was actually two grown men in there trying to win and The finals was an interesting final four McCastio which broke my arm, you know years ago Rico a good young up-and-comer he's still just stupid and young and and Then tank that's been around since the dinosaurs were in that area, you know he's come up around there. I don't think for a long time and and He came back and really really got the people going there at the end But yeah, I finally pulled it off You know it did some things after the match that people have asked me about and that got people wondering But it was a great tournament a lot of good talented like always like guys like Channing Channing Thomas with somebody an old timer like Paul London What's the mother telling them they're good up and comers, you know? So I thought it was over over the tournament Yeah, yeah, absolutely. I mean There's a lot we can we can kind of unpack throughout the tournament and you know what happened after but we might as well Talk about what happened after because you did bring it up you have the trophy right there next to you You defeated Manders in the tournament Manders is the current action wrestling world champion a former SCI champion of winner of the tournament For people who may not know or have not watched this yet an IW TV of course go and check it out After you won the tournament some former tournament winners came in the ring We saw AC Mackin there along with Manders and Jade Newman. They presented you to the trophy It looks like all was well I mean it looks like you were kind of like tongue in cheek like having a little good time with the crowd Like they kind of love you the kind of hate you they kind of love to hate you like it looks like a feel good moment And then you whack the shit out of Manders with that thing in it explodes jade Newman goes down AC that gets out of there And it looks like it's going to be what it's September 7th I believe for SCI you're getting a shot to become a three-time action champion So yeah, give us your mindset and like your aim what was going through your mind and why you did this uh two Manders Well, that was the goal to get another action title shot But I didn't agree to the seventh, but they just out of nowhere just announced it. So I don't know what's going on there but Everybody asked why yes, I bang Manders in the head with this and now I taped it up I gotta go buy some more tape, but this thing is just I didn't even know how to start putting it together, but The rumor started swirling that after my few accrual everybody forgot that I never got my rematch after Losing the belt in the three way without its hand and cruel And then I went off and had to worry about other things bigger and better things accrual Not necessarily better, but the action title I never got my rematch So It started bouncing around well, we'll bring you back to action But you'll do a one-off match against this guy and see how that goes You'll do a one-off match against this guy and see how that goes Why would I come back and not try to be the champion again like I was for years? Nearly two years. I believe it felt like almost two years I don't know the exact months, but why would I come back and not try to be the action champion? So The rumors were that I wasn't going to come back and get that title shot So I took matters in my own hands and bashed, you know a guy that I've really been close to him for years, but I had to do what I had to do because after that matt griffin The gm the owner whatever you want to call him a back from wrestling runs in the back Throw in his hands up freaking out and proud and business and moaning Well, what what was that about? Now I have to do you and manders now. I have to have that match After that second round match you would think every promotion in the country would want to have that match anyway So I just did him a favor and I did me a favor and just made it Inevitable that I get that third title shot at the action title. So All of us wins a win for me. So I don't know how else to explain what I did So one last follow-up for me before jerry and i got some questions as well. Um So I was you I know this was intentional and maybe it this wise and I guess that's why i'm asking but Um, a few weeks ago after the last time that you wrestled cruel Um at action wrestling you had put some post up on social media kind of like, you know, see you when I see you and that's sort of me Fashion so was that a red herring on your on your end or was you really thinking i'm done with action? You're like nevermind i'm about this opportunity. I'm just gonna force my way into the single manders um It was to see when you see it when I see you because I didn't know We hadn't talked about anything. I hadn't we hadn't had anything planned out and also I'm pretty good at self-awareness and a lot of guys aren't self-aware and I had been at action for a long time And and the people have loved me and hate Actions bizarro world. It's the only place that's loved me in this country, you know, so well. No. No. No. No, uh, um battle slam Well, that's that's we can get to that, but you're right, but that's also Atlanta. So, yeah, um, what was I saying? So, uh Oh, sorry. Um, you see what? Look, I didn't know what I was gonna do. There wouldn't know any plans. I have been I was beat up like hail that week after I literally I couldn't go to the gym. I couldn't do anything after that match of cruel I had no idea what I was gonna do and then I had a big long weekend with DPW coming up into Weeks we can address that and who my partner was there and all that but yeah I just didn't know what was to come and then I sat around for the whole the two weeks after and said well I got distracted doing all the cruel thing And trying to beat him the dumbass that I am trying to figure out that whole mess And then I remembered oh by the way I've never got my rematch So then I decided well I tried to you know, politic and do all these things for a few more weekends to try and figure out hey When can I come back? Can I get my other towel shot where we're doing? I was told no and then I did what I did so I was gonna move on to to the DPW stuff unless you had anything else from sei That's a good segue along with coming you were teaming with cruel after you guys about killed each other um Yeah, here's the thing you got to learn about me and him it I get a little I get a little uh I don't know what the word is pretty occupied real uh focused on a thing and then I'll drive that in the ground well I've loved that big idiot for a long time and but I just couldn't be Matt Griffin got me stuck in this situation with him and all these other shows And I got paid to do certain things that I didn't want to do And that got me in a lot of trouble and then he kept kicking my ass and then I said, you know what? I wonder if I can be so now I'm just gonna poke the bear a little bit more So after our cage match a match that sold out that building That not a lot of guys can say they do anymore to sell out of building whether they're gonna say however many tickets it's for or not That show was because of us and nobody can say anything else So then I got myself in a predicament in deadlock probe where I needed a partner Well, what everybody didn't say See is after we shook hands and big son bitch picked me up off the mat after that cage match I knew he respected me. I knew we went back. We were cool and everything was fine He knew we were both beat up. We just went our separate ways until I called him It said hey, I need some help So he showed up at deadlock probe in my tab. It was a street fight versus bk westbrook and uh blackwood And I needed help he showed up We figured out our differences not many people can talk to the big idiot, but I can and we figured it out now I he did leave me in the match and we're not We talked about it and And we worked through that also, but I lost that and then the not after Triple threat blackwood westbrook me. I did finally end up being the national champion At deadlock and a lot of gr-- you know that was bounty keith Brian was it bounty keith? Brian bounty keith? How does he say it? Yeah, brian bounty hunter Ryan Keith the bounty hunter. I'm sorry. Well, Jericho told him he couldn't take the book So he didn't show up and he had to vacate the belt. It was never heard I don't know what the fuck happened there But now I have the belt and if he wants to shout at it again and he can show back up when chris let's take a book Well, I mean next up you guy kevin blackwood who is not penned in the match I shouldn't even say pen because you submitted bk westbrook to win the title Um and the title the match was airing we talked a little bit off air, but this aired a week later So you're winning the sei as you're winning the national title as well Were you getting messages of hey, what is happening here? How are you in two places at once? Uh, no, my twitter was just crazy I don't know there was some crossover and they were like, you know what the hell but uh my twitter was just you know, it was the wild two nights from my twitter so um I think it just shows uh You know manners gets a lot of credit for being a workforce and showing up everywhere and going wherever you can and It takes a lot of that credit, but there's guys like me that I feel like you've forgotten about and which is fun I've been forgotten about for years. I know not from you guys, but um There's other guys that can take on all that pressure too, you know, so it felt good Get some notoriety for for at least one night. So Now the upcoming match with uh with kevin blackwood you simply just tweeted why have you been given an explanation? No You did you beat him like a musnik of one contender. Yeah, look I think it was because we had a really good match We had a really good match which he put me on the apron on my head Which is caused neck problems for these this past month and we're not going to get into all that But I said why why am I doing this? I just won the national championship and I'm and I'm facing that guy. I've already beat I know he's been good graces. Maybe his win loss record's good. I don't know if Dpw keeps up with it like tony does. I don't know what's going on, but What we'll do is it is we'll move on and move forward and I'll just beat him again and keep the national title And uh and and go on about my business. I guess who knows Um, I had another question about cruel Um because of your history with him and I mean I was a fan of his I've talked about a lot on the show back when he was logan kreat and throughout his whole I don't know if you may want to put it out there, but Who do you think can beat him for that title? Like I feel like he's just in this league of his own to where like you were the only one I'm not just saying this because you're on the show. I said this so many times I thought you were the guy who who was going to beat him now that you you haven't like you have any idea who who's got a shot Oh man, I don't know I don't want to give dead air, but i'm trying to think is there anybody that y'all I honestly it's it's because of y'all's history and everything across all these promotions like I really thought I really thought you You know, and I I can't think of anyone who's been built to that level I'll tell you this every northeast guy in the world will get opportunity because god forbid they leave You know that they want every northeast guy to have a belt They don't want anybody else to have a belt because they'll cry and bitch in my own up there If they don't have the belt all the time, so every northeast guy will get a chance. I promise you that Um, I know Marcus matters. It's pretty hot right now. It's a good call. I know they've got something coming up Um He's a little wirey shit. He we do definitely do not work the same. So I don't know his way might work better. Who knows? um Man, I don't know he he just beat Megan bane And you know, she was undefeated for a few years and she's a big beautiful bad-ass bitch. So You know, I don't know. I really don't um, unless him and free want um, you know start Disagreeing on things who I have zero idea I don't really think anybody can because I've pulled some stuff out of my ass and I couldn't pull I mean, I'll try to light him on fire and something blew up So, I mean if something blows up and in his face and nothing happens. I don't know how anybody can beat him. So I was gonna ask about uh james and shook who won the Futures tournament this past weekend. You had a match with him a couple months ago. Uh, just thoughts on him and his overall progress Oh, yeah, he's uh, he's a young kid out of uh, T. W. Uh, I guess training by jane Um, we had a match very entertaining fun match and uh, you know, I'll let him own a little bit You know, I let it go longer than I should have but we had a fun match and uh uh at a bar and a brewery in uh in georgia And uh, he's a good young talent tall slender kid. Maybe he'll grow up into his uh, his adult body's cleaner But uh, he's athletic good kid and uh, I mean, he's a shithead. He's not a good kid, but um, he listens listens to his daddy jaden and uh, if he if he just stays at it, he'll be doing okay Our uh, our plan is to have jameson on the show next week for an interview So, uh, hopefully people will be learning more about him. I really like his work. Um, out of chat new and you're definitely gonna see him branch out more soon Um, you've done some stuff with them. I love you recently What has been your experience there and do you want to do more than with w in the future? Oh, yeah, i'm willing to do anything with anybody um Yeah, I had a uh, match the bobbyfish And uh, that didn't go the way I wanted it to and then I had to run in with minority zuji. So that was a That was a rough weekend for me. Uh It was cool, uh getting to run my mouth to minority zuji, but it didn't end my way And I was ended up hung over the fucking rope But uh, but uh, it was a good experience. A lot of my buddies were there a lot of my friends A lot of my guys i've come up with so it was good to get an opportunity there and um If they'll have me back and it works out, then uh, that'd be great. So We we gotta get you against zuji. Let's let's do a blood sport or something You know, I have been on my terms. I don't want the zuiki in blood sport That's fair. That's fair. Any interest at all doing something like blood sport? Um I would probably get disqualified. Let's just put it that way. I would probably get disqualified Um, I'm not like all these other fake shooters that act like they're badasses and they're not Uh, but then there's real shooters like zuiki that are real badasses that will Choke you out and kill you because they fought and pride and then there's all these other guys that watch mma videos and think that they're Legit shooting badasses and not professional wrestlers, but I would rather stay for as far away as I can from uh Uh, uh, galaxy zuiki probably Well, that's actually Why do you brought this up about like legitimacy and uh, infighting and and professional wrestling and stuff? Uh, Jeremy's, uh, pick. I'm gonna throw him out of the bus right now. Jeremy's picked for the sci tournament was actually matt mckowski Um, and matt mckowski actually checks those boxes actual, you know history in professional mma. Um, what are your thoughts on him? Yeah, I was gonna ask but your thoughts are of like, you know mixing it up with him because I mean, I know you had you wrestled him Various times, but he's a guy who's I'm a very big fan of as well. Oh, yeah. I wasn't necessarily shooting on him. Uh I Sometimes it transitions and sometimes it doesn't some of those guys that are And by legitimate, I don't mean for real guy. I mean like they were taught to your guys In that field in the amateur, you know in the mma, you know arena. What however world however you want to say it Some guys that are legitimate in the mma world can't transition to ww or ww or a w or a pro rep they can't transition because This doesn't translate to oh, this guy's actually trying to pick me up and do something. Does that make sense like it's not It isn't just I'm gonna stand here and bang with you It's gonna be a guy like me that's trying to hit you in the nuts and try to do whatever you can't win I don't know if that makes sense, but um Mikasi can hang he's the legitimate guy. He broke my arm. Uh, so he can kick hard. Um, there's just some guys that just can't um make that transition because listen like uh There's athletes that are very good athletes. There's very good football players and then there's deon sanders that Makes money with their name. That's what pro wrestling is in my opinion. You know what i'm saying like Nobody knows the quiet Not shit talking quarterback. They know deon sanders. You know what i'm saying? They they know neon deon That's the business we're in. We're not in. Oh, I'm just gonna attack you out because i'm cool I tap out guys with a single leg crab in the year 2024 and I make it entertaining so figure it out. Does that make sense? I don't know if you beat your question. You DDT people in 2024 and they stay down for three I love that. So I don't know if that answers your question, but that's the best why you're answering Well, I mean speaking of that DDT. Um, it's done to you very well Uh, you know in recent years, uh, you won the sci tournament with it after you hit tank with it You know what that steel on top of the steel chair. Um Can you can you tell me a little bit about like the mindset or maybe I don't know just kind of like in that finals the way that was put together like you come out You hit tank with that steel chair and i'm thinking okay tastes probably gonna return But like maybe he doesn't I don't know commentary's putting it over. This is a triple threat match now or a three-way dance Whatever you want to call it and and you know mikowski and rico both did eliminate it and it's kind of just down to you Tank comes back out and you all have like a full-on basically like a one-on-one hardcore match like to end the show and was it I mean with was it a mix of brains and luck or just brains at the end there because like The way that that was set up you had that chair right there right there on the on the ring right there already And he hits you with that body shot You drop that chair and he is in perfect position to get dropped with that ddt right on top So uh, tell me a little bit about like the actual finals there and the the finish there between you and tank Well, like I said earlier in the interview and I talked about all time itself awareness now Did I try to take out take early? Yes, because You know, it's a numbers game and also I didn't know how long taint was going to be back there Or was it a game plan by tank to go? I don't fucking want to be in there with three other guys for 20 minutes He might have been back there just licking his wounds and acting like he was hurt I hit him twice with the chair now. I didn't know how long he was going to be down So I was just playing my cards. You know what I mean? He might have been he's the old veteran He might have been back there going to I'm just gonna wait now which To stay on his part and he almost got me right now He come in pretty fresh even though he got banged up a little bit come in pretty fresh I was kind of tired and he beat around a little bit, but I have some experience with some of these hardcore matches not as many as him But I know how to take advantage of things because some people would say I'm not the toughest guy in the world So I've got to find out a way to We even dodged and do this this and that he had already kicked out of a ddt The chair was in there on the floor He gets reintroduced and I just thought You know, he had a little bit of pride left He had a little bit of fire left He popped me in the gut and I just seen the chair laying right there And his old ass bent over to try and grab it There was no sense in keeping him in the gut jumping up and trying to get that big log head back down on the mat So I just grabbed him why he's already down there ddt on the chair and the rest is history So that's how that went Yeah I want to go back to Wrestlemania weekend because I don't know how far the drives are but you started You're in Philly Then you went to jersey Back to Philly Back to jersey For for these shows Uh as part of all of Wrestlemania weekend What was just the whole weekend kind of like and and how far is that actual drive between Philadelphia and williams down to jersey Uh Well between there, it's like 40. I think it's like 45. It's not it's not crazy It's uh, but we did a drive that up uh That weekend I drove with somebody that I probably shouldn't say I drove with but uh But uh, it it I think it was like because I left from Atlanta so 12 11 12 I might be wrong It was 11 or 12 or something like that. I think but uh, anyways, the jersey is the biggest shit hole in this country and And Philly's not much better. So it was like you dropped through a toll And then you're in Philly with homeless and needles in the grind. I mean, I've watched a woman shit on the group street So it's like The weekend wasn't the greatest and then you're enjoying the only good thing about jersey is diners That's it. They still have diners. They do diners right. That's all down here. We have waffle house You know what I'm saying? So up there they have diners. I respect it. Um, weekend was busy Other than the IWTV shows versus slim jay, and I had another match. Uh, I did a I was pre-show and runk ring honor paper view Um Uh had that show. What else did I do? I did a circle six show, which was chaos. Um And it was just a busy weekend. I was ready to long drive home. It was uh, it was a rough drive home Had a flat tire here and there, but uh, we ended up we made it home eventually So it was a good busy weekend and in a hub like Philly and jersey. It was uh, everybody was up there So What did you find out about the ring of honor show because that was a kind of a last minute announcement for fans at home? Uh Yeah, when I got there, I was told how you come to the building and then I got there and and somebody walked up and said Oh, you got a match and I said Uh, do I I have no idea and they were like, yeah, you got one and then I had to go find out So that's progress one for you. Um, I was in plan on being there and then I was told to be there and then You know some good things happen. So a word to anybody or young guy that's listening You think all these old veterans are just dicks and they just are just telling you stuff just to tell you stuff and Their advice doesn't matter Just show up if if you're free and what just show up somewhere or ask like You you don't got to eat shit and and show up the shows and you don't get anything and Those suck. Nobody's made more drives than me from leaving a place and not having nothing It's so worse Just show up because you don't know what's gonna happen reach out But don't be annoying and and I asked seven times the same question Ask once and if nothing comes of it fine. I asked in a few more months You know, that's how you get shit done. Just show up. So Um during Wrestlemania weekend Uh, you mentioned of course that you're a part of the rh pre-show and the night before you had wrestled slim j at action dean Um coincidentally enough slim j had just left a w like that weekend and tony Khan was on the post fight press conference Mentioning action dean like you they had our wage and during the show during the press conference after he he was like man I it's a bomber that I couldn't be their live in action dean. Obviously. I was busy working What's it like hearing that was like tony con like out there essentially promoting action wrestling like to the world? Yeah, it was great. I'll talk to tony later on that night uh after the uh the match that I had and uh he asked me how the show went and uh he uh Evidently dean. I don't know the whole details, but they were all in the same loop friends for you know uh Right, you know on the message boards all that I don't know all the details, but he knew of the guy All the guys that were running it. Um, he asked me how the show went. I told him great Um, I'm pretty positive he checked it out and watched everything. So that's another thing for all the young guys They all watched this stuff. So you need to take things seriously because you never know who's watching um some some prominent people probably have out of utv logins, you know what I mean, so Um, it it makes a lot that uh that just shows you people say what they want to and have bad things to say about companies and people um Tony cares and tony loves wrestling so um People really need to remember that and that uh Wrestling's in a good spot. I feel like now. I really feel like we're in a hot spot And uh, everybody really needs to start taking it seriously, you know Because guys like that watching and putting it forth effort and promoting these lower level things, you know If I have a place to go to like action when I was a kid To see all these up and coming guys like I didn't know about independent wrestling So it's good to get the word out of independent wrestling and try to you know, not have things on the internet either So it's like trying to get the word out there to be like, hey, here's this local wrestling I'm wish I would have known about local wrestling, you know what I mean? That's how things get hot It trickles from the top down and then the top of the bottom gets better and starts building up, you know what I mean? So, um, it's great that that's getting shouted out and that local promotions are starting to take things seriously It might have to really good out local from other so Yes, uh, was there any other conversation that you can like reveal between yourself and tony? Obviously you were already on his radar being on ring of honor, you know, so I mean anything you've been out there I mean, I'll take a chair. So if he hears me, I'll take a chair, you know It's an easy headline for me Yeah But not Tony's been great to me Tony's always giving me, you know, I'm not I like I'm buddies with him like everybody else does You know everybody acts like their bfs will tell me uh, that's the conversation is he giving me a lot of opportunities, so um I want to Be a contributing factor to a promotion, you know what I mean? I just want to make the best of what I can do and um And just be the best wrestler I can and I want to be able for somebody to Give me a lot of money and be proud. They gave me a lot of money. So What was it like being back at dailies? I know you spent a lot of time there during the pandemic Working those shows and then you guys were back there, uh, December of 2021 after the pandemic and things had kind of opened up But then you know returning nearly three over three years later. Uh, how was that like? I had PTSD from all the late nights at that There was during the pandemic era. There would be nice when we I went to the ring at like two in the morning or something It was insane Definitely PTSD, but it was cool. It was cool making that floor to drive again and um I mean it was year separate. I mean, I don't know that's like a three-year gap or something two-year gap I don't know in a bit. It's not two and a half years. Yeah, I mean it had been a long time since I've been down there So, uh, it was good to see you again. It's a really cool venue for wrestling I felt I don't know if you guys ever been down there um It's like You know, what's it called like for the concerts? It's like a it's like a amphitheater Amphitheater. Yeah, like it's an amphitheater, but they'll put in fans And it's like a small entrance which I always think is cool for wrestling. Not the big entrances Small little entrance. There's fans and weird little pockets and everything. It's not just square around, you know Um, it's an interesting venue, you know, you never know who's going to drive in in a truck You never know who's going to show up through the crowd. So it's a great, you know, you get to see the Jacksonville stadium It's a great, uh, it's a great venue for wrestling. It's interesting Um, I had another kind of follow-up. It kind of ties back to, um, action being a little bit actually We were just kind of talking about where, um, the main event of that show at Dana Macabre versus Timothy Batcher Of course, Dana Macabre had his retirement match Uh, you wrestled a couple of times this past weekend once against Darian Beckston and then once, um There's an retirement match against Kevin too. Um, do you have any just thoughts on, I guess kind of like the career of Dana Macabre and kind of what he's meant to the southeast scene Yeah, I come across, uh, Macabre a few years back. We had had a few matches and um His style is uh, people really really get intrigued with that style and really Uh, it's like being self-aware like, um, like I talked about. I know how I should wrestle He figured out, he should wrestle to make himself competitive. If that makes sense, you know, I wouldn't wrestle like cool I wouldn't wrestle like, you know, um, a mandarist, you know, I I'm a man, you know, and he hits the any style because I know I can hang with anybody But, you know, there's also that a brief style of doing things. So he found his lane Um, I know he influenced a lot of guys um, guys like Kevin Koo and And and all those all those guys love him So, um, I know he had a long career and uh, and I I wish the best for him and uh, I hope everything uh, goes well for him I don't think we asked about we talked about this last time. Maybe we did. I apologize TCW facing glacier and Scotty rigs. Oh god. Yeah. Oh, I don't think we did talk about this. Yeah Thank you for bringing that up Just what what was that like? Um What a what a crew, huh So the match is going on and then Scotty rigs is is is Gabbin me in the side on the floor trying to kill me And then the lights go out and the fucking yeti walks out And now i'm 28. So like I don't Early 2000s WWE is like where my brain picks up, but obviously I know about the yeti so That was interesting and then the yeti, you know Put me on my ass Uh, what a crew glacier nobody can be a nicer guy than glacier Um, a real badass. Well, I don't know if people know that like a legitimate white ass Um, Scotty has dug his ass up through the you know through the mud and got himself back on his feet Scotty looks great looks jack looks tan Um that whole crew there was another member of the team. I can't I can't think of it and then qt um And qt men him across past the whole lot. Um, what a what a crew and my team was just a team of fucking misfits I make good more work Um, we we didn't have a chance because you got me sunny days Like we're not team members, you know what I mean like It was just a mess. So then glacier comes out. What a way to kick off turnbuckle wrestling, you know what I mean Yeah, it was awesome. We we actually we had rigs on uh on for an interview like right after that and yeah, it's uh Seeing the the life turnaround has been just just amazing. Yeah, um Someone else, uh, I wanted to get your thoughts on is a good friend of the show Someone we've had on the show actually more than I think anybody else for interviews Jumping johnny moseley. I know you got some history with him Uh, what are your thoughts on mo is and of uh, you know, dill and hails and kind of like the crew does like commentary Some of the behind the scenes stuff uh for these for these companies, but specifically mo's What do I think about mo's? um Terrible person uh mo's mo's mo's would be the first person to throw me on robust, but he better not because he's coming down with me because I have All the evidence on mo's if he ever wants to say a thing about me. He's coming down with me Um, me and mo's bond over basketball and making fun of basketball players. Uh, we talked about sports um, but we really talked about basketball and Really talked about women's basketball like this past year like everybody else did more ever in history Um To be fair Can you if there are mo's it instead to be fair mo's is like the only person I know and this is going to sound so bad saying It was like for real. He's like the only person I know who was like a fan of like women's basketball before the big hitlin car Anybody gets mad about that. They're idiots and let they tell them to name you five college women's basketball players They can't do it, but anyways, right like Yes, he's a die hard his girlfriend wife. I don't know if she's girlfriend alive is a dog Like they they go all this alt text him and he'll be in indiana Fuck watching whatever, you know, I mean as some women's NBA game He's all the time somewhere. Um, I think he drove to katelyn clarks. Uh, the record game Um, he watches everything. So, um, him and dylan hales they they've announced more of my matches Than anybody they've commitated on more of my matches than anybody Um, i've worked for mo's a lot of some of the kOB k shows. They do a good job. They care about wrestling They're on the road doing it. Just like anybody eating of the guys any of the workers. So, uh, mo's really cares about it and uh, And um, I think we need more guys that really want to bust their ass to big things, you know, I mean, so We can bury mo's more if you want. Oh, what can i bury mo's about? Um, nothing I can stay on here. I can't I'm giving him. I'm giving him some uh, leeway. I'm not going to do anything I want to get into the basketball conversation now. I know we have limited time remaining at gents I'm sure you have more more wrestling stuff. It's all good. I like to completely go I can't believe some of the katelyn clarks stuff. We don't have to get in the political stuff, but uh, it's unbelievable Like what happened this year? I mean The fact that a woman can get them private jets in one year is pretty insane the kind of bull that that lady has like it's unbelievable that Angel reached is the biggest hill of all time and it's great for sport. Everybody needs to shut up because all of it's great I don't care if they kick katelyn clark in the face while she's on the ground. It's getting them views You know what i'm saying? Like it it's great for the sport angel reaches great for the sport It's all great for the sport and everybody needs to realize that you know what i'm saying like it it all the bitching and whining is crazy, you know, so What those two ladies those two alone there's other women, but those two alone has made the sport Got in the sport so many eyes, you know, it's it's been a great year for them No, i'm i'm with you and i've kept up with way more wmba this year because of those two And watching it far more often who who are we bearing best? Well, who's your team in basketball at him? I hate LeBron with a passion. I hope I feel so bad for his son. I really do because that's a terrible situation. I feel like Anybody that's not LeBron. I don't know like i like aunt. I like the headboarder's now because he's a dog Um, I don't have a team I you know, we don't have a team down here. Right. So i'm not a Memphis guy. I'm not an Atlanta guy Um, I just like players. I like aunt Um, something who else i like I hate I hate the Dallas kid. What's his name? Oluca who? I've never thought we would find somebody that bitches more than LeBron Uh, that's true. You know every every single player is down at the rash Everybody is insane. He will make people shoot a three and nobody's near me. Don't turn around and say something Like he can't not say something. I can't stand it's more about who I hate the NBA because The NBA is just unbearable sometimes, but um But yeah, I don't have a team. I just kind of It's like NFL. I kind of just like guys, you know what i mean, but it's nobody's like Alabama You know what i mean? So it just goes down here. It's about college. If that makes sense No for for sure. That's why i asked if you if you did have a team because I know in that in that part There is no local team. I used to love the salicy like the rondo kg that whole crew back in the day. That was my team back in the day, but uh I've never been bot now in baseball. I'm a huge Yankees fan. Whichever body hates you would think I'd be a big Atlanta brace center And I know baseball is boring and everybody hates baseball, but i'm a Alabama Football fan and a Yankees baseball fan read other than that. I just keep up with players if that makes sense No, I completely get it. Yeah, we can we can talk about LeBron. We can we can bury LeBron if you want The interview would go to shit I can't say any Him and all them reading his books. He's read as many books as I have since i graduated zero He's always open in the same book at the same page. He's a freaking liar He's a compulsive liar and i feel bad for his son His son all I know about his son really is that like he got drafted like Way early and then uh every headline I see is just like oh for 15 like scores two points for the game Like i'm sure it was going to be a good college player if he had a state around, you know, he had the hardest to you whatever Like i'm sure he would have been fine But like now it's LeBron knows he's out in minimal two years like but so he's like hey Probably next year's his last year. That's why all this is rushed in my opinion. So he wants the king griffy picture You know like like the griffy's did and he wants to say oh, I did this And then Jordan did do that. Whatever. I'm sure the kids are good kid his dad's a piece of shit It is a lot of pressure I'm sure it's awful. I'm sure it's awful And then signing like a seven million dollar contract as a the 55th pick And the draft like that's minimum the 55th pick gets minimum in the mba throughout history Yeah, and they gave him a guaranteed Contract of seven Like in a fail like first two rounds in a fail. Like you're probably getting paid. You know what i mean? but It's totally different look and I hope he does well, but it's just There it's not an equation that's going to end up like working out. I feel like, you know, I don't know It's going to be a weird dynamic with the Lakers this year because then you got the The kids got to play. Is he gonna play over guys who are better than him if he gets boy J.J. Reddit is the coach now, right? He's got to like control the family like But like Not well, I had this argument with mo's bringing moza. I said, what are they gonna do? They just after future, but It's la they can always get free agents once LeBron leaves They'll figure it out. They'll figure out the month what so because I thought like you want to waste a whole pick on but The mba. We know the draft picks always it isn't like the first round in a fail It's not like it's guaranteed gonna work out. You know what i mean? So It don't be okay la in three years, you know when the bran leaves may be, you know, but I don't know who wants to go out there right now live anyways So they can't get free agents with LeBron stay and clay Thompson's like, nope. I'm going in dallas Everybody tells you it's about it's LeBron now Like I think coming somebody don't want to go play for Lakers. That's crazy Like so it's clearly you want to go to play with LeBron for one year When you're gonna be the three man or like it's just It's just they don't want to play with him. I feel like like they did for that time period Want everybody wanted to play with him now. It's not it's not gonna happen Yeah, it's it's a lot of Circus and media coverage. Yeah for sure with la and not always about basketball And sometimes that's not always LeBron's fault. Yeah, this offseason He's brought a lot of it on himself with the brani pick and even jj reddit considering he did a podcast with jj Oh jj is now the head coach of the team. Hmm. Oh wonder how that happened. Yeah You know, i've always liked jj, but You know, i knew i knew old coach was gonna deny the Who's the ucon coach? Oh, I can't think of his name off top, but yes, I know When they offered him the job, I was like, there's no way and if he doesn't go I said, I know the problem say if that coach comes of ronald leave because like It's the problem in life. Come either out of there in a year anyways, and he's not gonna Deal with his ass telling him what to do. You know what I mean, so I think it all worked out for everybody Yeah, I don't know if I miss it, but did you mention your favorite football players and I said you didn't have like a specific team See all my boys are titans fans I'm not a titans fan. I'm not an Atlanta fan. I I love the Drew Brees Back in the day Drew Brees was my guy, but like I keep uh, I love james Winston. Like I keep up with guys, but like I always had a spot for new orleans Um, I love Derek Henry Um, I always love Drew Brees. I'm trying to think of other guys that I love Um Oh, I love becker mayfield so like yeah, I follow bakers. I always love baker cleveland is the work How as a franchise can you make the decision that you made? For the guy that they got and did bakers so wrong baker was hurt for a whole year And they just kept shipping him out there with his shoulder ball And then they're like get out of here. You weren't worth the shit And then we bring in a 200 million dollar rapist. I don't understand what that that was the worst. So I love baker Um That's probably, you know, those are some guys that I would uh, I would say I'll follow now There's not a certain team, but those guys I really follow I uh, I have one last question as we uh start to kind of wrap up here got a You cover more before we leave, but this is gonna last one for me. Um Will we ever receive the return or hear the return of lemonade by gucci man? Uh, also sorry we got off from everybody just couldn't tune off because we just started talking about sports for forever No, I promise you that probably did not At all. Yeah, they like it. They like it And my parable opinion is my all my opinion has come from hate. So sorry about that, but Um, he's in in 2024 You're right We're not gonna go down that hole, but uh, um So let me pick a priest. Uh, yeah We'll see. I mean I don't know what shows want me to be that Um want want that side of me Maybe when I go back to any knife list for some nat town stuff. Who knows? Um Maybe there's an Atlanta show that wants to kind of You know revitalize that. Um, I love I think I think it's one of the best interest songs ever I think it goes far. Um, I need to get some more yellow gear Um, who knows, you know, I That got me more More people know my names from that than anything. I feel like oddly enough. I mean you were there How crazy it was Yeah, uh, bary whack We interviewed not long after that and he told us that You that song almost legitimately blew the speakers out like the base They were like back. They're actually worried that they were gonna get an audio is gonna be screwed up for the entire show because of that Because of your entrance long when it was worth it. That was music guy. That was I can't remember his name great guy great great DJ. I can't remember his name, but yeah that it was uh I couldn't hear you know when you walk past the speakers you can't have it all that shit worse But yeah, I walked out and I come in the back and they were like what and I mean they were rubbing their ears out It was great. It was great Oh, I apologies. Um, I don't have anything else Jensen. I know we We had well we always asked Uh, cool thing in the room I don't know if that's gonna be the the trophy or if you had other stuff that you would like to show us Oh, yeah, we can't talk about what we're talking about last time.
