So there are a few awards in the NFL that we think are for grads. Some that are probably done that we will discuss as well. NFL futures, there are a few to wager on that need to be decided in week number 18. We'll tell you if there's any value on any of these underdogs here. Big surprise Sam, favorite one, favorite covered last night, Detroit Lions. So the Fade God was in action once again who we told you bet San Francisco Moneyline, a number of ways yesterday. But Detroit, I was holding on hope that that cooler heads would prevail. They did not and I have different takeaways than I think most people do with last night. The high scoring affair, the over was easy week 17 favorites. Go 15 and one straight up 13 and three against the spread favorite win, favorite cover over easy 74 points, Jared Goff throwing passes in the fourth quarter of a meaningless game. I angered angered the Lions fans last night. Oh, good. Are they still nowhere near the vicinity of your New York Giants tweet that now has 18 million views or whatever. But I'm not even watching the game. We're out last night, third quarter. My buddy texts me golf's golf still in. Why? Why is he in? Why is he still dropping back, taking contact, Gibbs is getting absolutely blown up in the fourth quarter, taking hits in the head and I don't get it. That's how you play football, Joe. That's how you play football. What happens if Jared Goff breaks his leg in the fourth quarter last night? You know, like we don't want to go there, but it was extremely possible in a meeting football game that meant nothing, he is still out there and the Lions fans who have won nothing in 70 years are telling us, this is how you play winning football. Okay, you got lucky. You got lucky as far as I'm concerned last night and it was funny the reaction because the post game stuff, just all the immediate stuff that I saw, Oh, praise Dan Campbell, is he going to be coach of the year? See, this is, they told us when Dan Campbell tells you something, he means it. That's exactly what he's going to do. It doesn't mean it was right again. It was a meaningless game. It meant something to them. That's what they believe. They're still buying into everything that Campbell is selling. The message has not gone stale yet. Usually this happens at some point. Mine takeaways are negative on Detroit. I don't know about you. Good for them. They got the win. Okay. Now you're on a short week. You played your starters for the biggest game of the year and a short week. So let's see how that goes. You can't stop anybody. Do you think that playing these defense more is going to make them better? Here's what I saw Sam. I saw Brock Purdy of the most passing yard. He's had all his season and he had two bad interceptions late. There was an overthrow and basically threw into triple coverage and Kirby Joseph, who's had a great year, turning the ball over. He picked him off a couple of times, 377 for Purdy. Most of these had all season, 10.8 yards per attempt, phenomenal. You take away those two picks. You look at the other numbers. It was definitely a top three performance from Purdy. A San Francisco offense, missing CMC, Noah Euch can make the strong argument. Those are their two most dynamic players on offense and they put up 475 yards on you. 475 in a meaningless game for them. My takeaway is the lines are not going to the Super Bowl. They can't stop anybody. And no matter who it is, it's a shootout. I've got some more defensive numbers that we can go over, but not even the best quarterbacks around. They are putting up numbers. This is a San Francisco offense that has had their issues this year due to their injuries and they had their way with you. You tried as hard as you could to put away a team that has six wins and it took almost the full gamut and you gave the numbers, right, 475 yards, San Francisco's offense. How about 29 first downs? Just right up and down the field, the entire game. And that's a team that isn't good enough to even sniff a division, let alone a postseason birth. So we will see. We will see. I'm happy that the Lions fans are as cocky as they are. Heaven won a big game since 1957, 1957. And they are reinventing the wheel in a meaningless game in week 17. I'll tell you what, if I'm Minnesota, I'm Kevin O'Connell right now. I am licking my freaking chops thinking, Oh, that's what San Francisco did. Paul shares this. Favorite team is one 72% to be specific 71.8% of games entering the final week. The highest winning percentage for the chalk since 2005 second best since the NFL adopted a 16 game schedule in 1978 that according to ESPN research. It is wild. What do you want it? You know the last month or so it's 73%. The favorites are hitting 73%. I can't knock anybody going with these money line parlays with all the favorites just wild. Numbers that I was looking at on this line's defense. Since week 13, okay since week 13. So that takes up for most of the injuries that they have. Since week 13 the Lions EPA per play on defense dead last number 32. Wow. Yeah. EPA per drop back since week 13 dead last number 32. That is against the following quarterbacks. That started on Thanksgiving, okay. So Caleb love Josh Allen Caleb again in Purdy last night. That is a five game sample including a lot of their injuries on defense as they've piled up throughout the course of the year. They are dead last EPA per play on defense and you look at the potential matchups. I mean week 18 massive obviously it's going to be the one or they're going to end up being the five that they're the five they're going to go on the road likely to Tampa Bay which would be I think a very high scoring affair there and then the one they get to relax and it's funny because they need to relax. They need to rest. They need to keep guys healthy but they decided not to rest last night. I just can't get over that. Whatever. Lions also four to one to win the Super Bowl. The best odds at Betam GM so KC 375 Detroit four to one Buffalo five fifty Baltimore seven Philly seven Minnesota nine Green Bay sixteen and then the Ramley back twenty five to one to win it all. Are you betting Lions four to one to win the Super Bowl with that defense? I'm not betting them to win the NFC. No. Hell no. Do you think they get out of the NFC? I hope not last night. I didn't really care but now I want them dead. So they are we'll get into futures coming up at about ten minutes. They are the second favorite for the Super Bowl chiefs back as the favorite now. Yeah it looks like across the board across the board the chiefs are your favorite the Lions price at Betam GM is four to one as the second favorite the clear cut favorite in the NFC. They're the only team in the NFC that's top four as far as the Super Bowl odds go. All right Sammy a few other nuggets certainly of note that came out yesterday in the NFL more and more we're going to hear coaches reveal certain stuff a lot of it's going to be later in the week about the quarterbacks and the starters and we're kind of reading between the lines right now but we don't have to read between the lines of Dave Canales and I thought this was interesting because he comes out yesterday and says Brace Young's going to play all of our starters are going to play. I got the sense that in week 17 they were kind of like whatever seasons a wrap we accomplished what we needed because half of their defensive starting unit was out and they got smoked by Tampa Bay. So I found that to be an interesting nugget and we're going to be talking especially late in the week when we're here on Thursday and Friday more and more about what these coaches are saying than any other week on the calendar. And the big one I'd say Saquon they're locked in the Eagles with the number two spot and Adam Schefter comes out yesterday and says I'd be floored if Saquon Barkley plays of course Saquon 101 yards away from the Eric Dickerson record. He's going to run for 220 yards in this game if he plays the whole way. I know. The Giants are not going to stop him and it was so funny Casos and I had Sunday were laughing at the prop on Barkley the rushing prop. It got as high as 117 1/2 and you're thinking huh it's a big number not really. Not really. We got there with ease. They can't tackle they can't stop anybody. So he's going to get out there break the record and as somebody holding Philly stock to win the NFC I just hope he stays healthy. But apparently health doesn't matter and it's so funny like we made comments and we talk about a lot of stuff on the show. I could care less if the Lions are healthy or not but to think that it's a good idea to play a lot of your valuable players in a meaningless game to think that's a good idea. I don't know who you're kidding yourself to think to playing Saquon Barkley and mostly meaningless game is ridiculous to me. I hope they win. I hope he stays healthy. If he doesn't though the Eagles have nobody to blame but themselves nobody. I mean we came we came from an existence where we had to cover and talk about Tom Thibodeau forever and what did the Bulls always do. They want a lot of regular season games and then all of their star players got hurt in the playoffs because he wore them and drove them into the ground. I just hope I hope that the league has its best players healthy because we all want the best product on the field. I hope these guys knock on wood. I hope they all stay healthy. That's all I'm going to say. That's all we want right. We don't want these guys to get hurt but it's crazy to me the risk against the reward in these games that really don't matter all that much. The reaction today is just so idiotic. It's just results based. You're going to see it everywhere. Oh Campbell is right again. Look Dan Campbell I know it's risky but he was right again. It didn't matter and they're going to say well it mattered to the players. I saw it in the post game last night. Well it mattered to the players. Players are stupid. There's a reason players don't make these decisions because they're going with their heart and their emotions. That's why you need to remove that you need to bring other people in. You've made this question made the statement all year long. Their season is going to end on something stupid that Dan Campbell does and I kept thinking about that during the game last night. What do you think about the very top how they ordered this with Casey Detroit Buffalo Baltimore Philly is that right. It makes sense I mean it all makes sense given the math and given the home field at least for now. But one team that's still very interesting in terms of playability or flexibility with the number is Minnesota Minnesota what happens if Minnesota beats Detroit and where does the number go. So you know you can find them MGM you said nine to one other books have double digit odds if they beat Detroit and they have the one seed get the buy and every home game will be in their building until they lose or win whatever what's the price then if Minnesota beats Detroit what's the number because you have Detroit as the favorite in the NFC and the second favorite to win the whole thing for one reason not because of the roster because of their path and right now Detroit controls its destiny beat Minnesota you have the one. But if that doesn't happen in a coin flip game that Minnesota price is going to go from ten to one all the way down five to one four seventy five. I don't know that you flip them in terms of let's put Minnesota on the line to win the whole thing and let's put Detroit down on line what six or whatever. I don't know that we're there because there is a lot of lion liability people have been betting the lion since the summer to win the Super Bowl to win the NFC they don't need to write any more lion money but where does the number go on Minnesota from nine ten to one where does it go if they beat Detroit does Detroit if Detroit loses they're the five okay so that means what you're probably going to go to Tampa Bay in the first round and then you're going to go to Minnesota okay that's not easy does Detroit fall below Philly as the two Detroit the five should just give him the path I mean this is a huge scenario for them which is why I mean looking back and so dumb that they played their starters. So dumb can call that's how we play football you four eyed virgin I'm like okay chill out and chill out I'm going to need hearing aids by the end of the show my ear is to be bleeding it's Joey kinesh one of them the kinesh come at you I know Joey kinesh muted now I have him muted I'm good understand I mean it's just bet the favorite nerd spent the favorite don't overthink it okay yep got it one guy goes all you do is money line the favorites this year so you do so you bet the other all year yeah how that going the first month he's right I mean he's he probably has more money than I do this another coach in the NFL that that's doing that last night no I don't think so I can't come up with one nobody plays anybody in the preseason did he probably did probably played every the entire game whatever he got out of it it worked but when you keep pressing your luck there's gonna be a time when a decision goes against you it just feels like he has all these high leverage moments and one of them it's a fair point you continue to bring up you keep going back to lines but you keep bringing this up because you see one of these high leverage moments going against him and then that's when the tower collapses they're gonna have I'm trying to figure out what's the worst case scenario and it's really difficult to imagine what it is because we don't know how it's going in one full but I picture something where the lions are up by two or three they're at their own eight yard line it's fourth and one and they go for it and don't get it and the other teams like thank you let us let us waltz into the end zone from the eight yard line and win the NFC Championship you know why at least he's himself I look I will say this okay I do make fun of him a lot and he has his team playing the way that they're supposed to play good for that good for them he's not Brandon Staley Brandon Staley used to go any mini mini mo deciding whether or not to go forward or not if you laid out ten scenarios Staley it felt like would go half the time and then not go the other half the one thing about Campbell is he is unapologetically himself and people like that people like that he is who he is and there's no doubting what he does I still meant if I was a Lions fan right now or somebody holding a Lions NFC or Super Bowl ticket I would be terrified of that guy they are who they are because of him in a lot of ways but that I believe will be the end of their season because of the way he is and we'll see I see how it plays out I would love to see Minnesota win Minnesota gets the one they have that home field which is phenomenal and then it's Detroit at Tampa Bay in the wildcard round team they lost to in week two team that can stop the run I would love to see that love to see that matchup not it not a great home field for Tampa Bay but now you're not hosting games for the most part unless things really fall your way and that's been the thing golf indoors golf at home he's done well on the road recently and that's probably something that is worth being discussed certainly last week at Chicago when people are like oh it's golf outdoors golf in the cold he was just fine and then last night at San Francisco played the entire game it's going to be interesting but yeah no these this based on that game on Sunday night these numbers are going to change a lot and who's going to be the third favorite in the NFC I don't know it might be Philly I guess there's a chance it's Detroit if they end up being the five after being the favorite in the NFC all season long it's really interesting alright we've got the NFC nor to be decided but the bucks are heavy favorites so the bucks are in that minus 13 to minus 1,400 range and the Falcons boy how big was that Sunday night finish 8 to 1 for the division Tampa Bay has a one game lead but if they end up tied remember Falcons sweeped so Falcons end up winning the division it's worth taking a shot at 8 to 1 you need the Falcons to win and the bucks to lose I will not I don't think Tampa loses as a 13 point favorite MGM 13 other books 13 and a half pinnacle 14 I don't believe Tampa is going to lose dispenser rather I don't see ya so that's that's a no for me I don't know that there are many bets to make in these division markets but I want to kind of pivot quickly I assume you're not going to bet Atlanta to win the division right I mean you're not I'm not I'm not I don't and then the only other one is you would need Baltimore to lose the Cleveland okay maybe it's a conversation if they say no we're going to Jamis not TTR then it's a conversation because Pittsburgh's 25 to 1 for the division and we're talking about crazy things happen in this league so you never know but if Jamis then we could have that conversation maybe later in the week well I wanted to go here since we're talking futures in this segment did you catch what Troy Aikman said last night about the MVP yes yep I did he comes out on national television and says he has a vote he's voting for Joe Burrow to win the MVP and I did a radio hit as I do every week in Vegas I did one last night and the host says I bet Burrow ten days ago at 201 and he says I don't think it wins but I had to pluck it I had to bet the 200 and now you can find Burrow in that 20 to 1 30 to 1 range mm-hmm I don't know that it wins but here's the thing about Burrow and I think it's I think it's fair you can't find anybody man whether it be national TV the newspapers the internet social media does anybody not like Joe Burrow he is so if you did a likeability test he's in the 95 percentile and every time the Bengals lose it's the coach it's the defense it's the kicker that guy can do no wrong and I'm not saying like like drop everything we're doing and unload on burrow to win the MVP but there's something to be said about the way he's perceived and the way he's talked about the numbers speak for themselves he has MVP numbers the problem is the team is very average but he's not the reason for that he's been insanely successful this year Troy Aikman Monday night football Joe Burrow's my MVP I thought that was a wild wild comment to me how many times this year if I told you if the Bengals had a better record he's no doubt the MVP a lot I'm yeah I mean there's no doubt about it I understand where Troy's coming from in Troy what Troy is also saying there but he didn't want to do it in the middle of that game on a national platform but what he's saying is it's not Joe Burrow's fault that his defense sucks it's not his fault there's literally nothing he can do about it the man is not on the field when that happens that's what happened this year to their record that's what happened in the first half of the season there's an outside chance that they sneak in and we'll tell you how long how long the shot it is but that was something it looks like the Bengals are not going to make the playoffs that's what common sense tells us going into the final week here's what we do know Burrow's probably going to be the passing leader he has about a 250 yard edge over golf right now he's probably going to be the touchdown leader he has a three touchdown lead over Baker and Lamar 42 passing touchdowns my god if he has a big game on Sunday he's going to hit 5,000 he's 300 in what 59 yards away my math is correct 359 away from 5,000 and he's got 40 plus touchdowns and single digit picks he's the reason they even have a sniff of the postseason yep and the voters want to make him an MVP he's going to win an MVP at something you're right everybody loves so much they like his hair they like his outfit I think he dresses like Ellen DeGeneres but people love him people love him that like he can do no wrong and in a market and an award scenario where it's decided by people that guy has a shot I'm not saying it's going to happen I didn't bet it I don't really care but when Troy Aikman says it you have to pay attention what would you rather bet burrow 30 to 1 MVP or Bengals playoffs 16 to 1 or are they correlated does he win the MVP if the Bengals make the playoffs I still don't think he wins but clearly the 200 the 150 the 100 to 1 were never the right price that's a great the books gambled and said he's not winning it they're not making the playoffs and they will get decked on that if he does win the MVP the books will get crushed I still don't think it happens but it's a hell of a story and it makes for a very fascinating market because you realize the price now is a lot lower than a hundred and 200 to one late in the season these monster numbers we're not saying it's winning like Flacco last year but that was week 13 Flacco was 200 250 to 1 for the comeback player of the year and look at burrow now what would you do well I sent the squad a text of a free bet that I made last well it would have been May of 2023 so I guess I could say two mays ago whatever it was the Miami heat to win the east and giving you a thousand this book was giving you whatever and then that book gave a first risk free bet up to twelve hundred and fifty dollars it was a weird number it wasn't a thousand it wasn't two thousand it was twelve fifty so I approached it as you are giving me a free twelve fifty to bet and if I lose it I get it back do you want to tell the people what I did you bet on May 5th you bet the Miami Heat to win the Eastern Conference at plus 950 which resulted in a total payout of thirteen thousand one hundred and twenty five dollars whoo nice move you took a shot on a future that's what you did didn't take a dog in a specific game you got a nice long couple months sweat out of it and that was a terrific hit man nice work we don't bet though we don't gamble on this show you know we don't I should have victory left that one too quite a bit I can no longer play there which is my fault that's the problem if you win like I think what you should do is take the Jake approach bet a parlay like a correlated parlay that's probably gonna win like a team to win a championship with a golfer to win the masters or okay something like that where you take that five hundred bucks and you try and turn that five hundred into ten thousand and if it loses you have no risk this is a chance for anybody to take a shot that's what I would do and it's what I've done have I won all of them no but I'm clearly ahead as you can tell they might kick you out though if you win that's the risk you run if you were to bet you know Jake Paul to beat Mike Tyson and the Rams to make the playoffs and Scotty Sheffield to win the Masters if that wins there's a very good chance that they never let you bet there again but you just take screenshots of your bet you make sure that you have everything in order you have all your teas crossed and your eyes dotted and you have everything in order to where if you lose you have or if you win rather you have the receipts and you can take them wherever you have to take them but that's that's what I would do what would you do I would do the same thing man listeners to the show you know me as well I would try to find something like this but you don't want to go too crazy where it's just a pipe dream either we don't need to find a 50 to 1 a 75 to 1 or anything like that but no you saw value in this like the number was wrong and you saw the upside at about 10 to 1 and he took your shot that's I think the correct approach that's the way to go like he would be cool to show some way look I could put a hundred thousand dollars on a bet but it's probably not going to happen but like you know I'm I don't have the same approach as everybody else does I know for me and I know for you like okay you you play a huge money line favorite and now you have 750 as opposed to 500 dollars in the account is that going to get you excited is that going to make you think that you really got one over on them no I'm not saying you have to have that maybe you just want the 500 bucks but man that's uh yeah I would take a shot what would you do today I'm not giving advice but would you look at NFL would you look at college football Notre Dame what are they now after beating Indiana no I'd go let's see I'm looking at the NHL market on teams that win the Stanley Cup that's where I'm still early baseball that's a long sweat if you want you could do that you're looking for yeah I think uh I think maybe Paul Skeens though when the sign on maybe a four to one turn that 500 into two grand here's the thing it also puts you in a spot like when I made that bet on Miami I was able going into that seventh game where the heat actually beat Boston in the garden I was able to if I wanted to make a huge hedge position because it was to win the east not to win the title so I mean you gave the payout I could have bet thousands on Boston money line and and came out of the wash up no matter what now I didn't hedge it but if you look at a team like the Dallas Stars at 10 to 1 or the Colorado Avalanche at 13 to 1 that's where I go I look for the double digit the 10 to 15 to 1 range uh Jake you brought up who was it Michael King to win the Cy Young the other day I did 21 okay 500 to 20 to 1 and then if Michael King becomes the Cy Young favorite in July or August then you just bet two other guys and now that 500 dollar free bet puts you in a spot to profit like that's that's how I approach it bet a future at a good price that can potentially put you in a good spot down the road it's not about winning it's about being in a position to win and potentially bet off it or hedge it or you can't really middle a future but that's that's how I roll at least yeah no I'm with you there you could do boy I'm thinking about parlays and like the college football playoff what we talked about in the in the first round just do all the favorites guys just do all the favorites it's probably gonna hit and it did end up hitting let's see if you did Notre Dame Moneyline in Ohio State minus two and a half now you're at plus 281 if you have an opinion on Boise or Penn State Texas Arizona State to cover like that's that's not the worst idea because if you add one of those you're going to be better at six to one already if you want a good sweat over the next couple of days but we're in agreement that you would we'd go with some sort of a future or parlay where you're looking at a good payout a hundred percent whether yeah it's six to one or double digits but not a crazy long shot but something where you can make them shake right oh I will stay with Sheffler's 20 to one Notre Dame with Sheffler's 31 state title okay I mean Notre Dame's plus 650 at that MGM for the title I thought they might be a bit short of their fifth favorite I guess that makes sense because there's a dog tomorrow but you could also you could also bet the Kansas City Royals to win the ALPennet at 22 to 1 let me uh let me do some stuff there we go you just go for it you go for it they don't give you free money every day don't bet 500 to win 500 bet 500 to win a lot and see what happens that's our advice that's what we would do I you know not saying do one of the bets that we were talking about but we were just you know just spitballing some idea off the top of our head uh all right are you a resolutions guy do you ever do resolutions or are they dumb and um yeah I don't know I thought about betting Boise and we had Tom Casale on yesterday who's very good at betting college sports football and basketball and he was making a case for Boise and I liked a lot of what he said I haven't made a bet yet I do think Boise is very underrated and I see Michael Felder who we'll talk to in about 30 seconds from now I know he's a big gente fan yeah I think gente's hype sort of overshadows how good that team is and that's not a bad thing I just feel like they are disrespected and undervalued does it mean that they're gonna win outright does it mean that they're gonna hang around not necessarily but that team is much more than Ashton gente and I think a lot of people don't know that because every time they flip the TV on or turn the radio on it's Ashton gente this and Ashton gente that but he allows that offense to do whatever it wants to account for him yeah to account for him opens up everything that they can do here is Michael Felder at in the bleachers on X Michael I hope you had a great holiday it continues happy New Year's thanks for joining us on this New Year's Eve what do you think about this game tonight Penn State Boise State you heard what Sam had to say like he's a believer especially when we're getting 11 points their defense scares the hell out of me that is the only thing that's holding me back why I'm not what I haven't bet Boise Boise yet what do you think about it I take Boise the points I don't think they're gonna win but I do think that this game is gonna be it's gonna be tight I got I like look look do we trust Drew aller like in a game where he's gonna have to actually make plays like I think you trust James Franklin right another good question and then you throw in like I do think that I think Tyler Ward's the best titan in the country without a doubt I think he's the best weapon that's not fair to Travis Hunter who just won that we just saw when the Heisman but I think he's I guess the second best weapon in the country in terms of a guy who lines up anywhere does anything and so I do like that part for Penn State I think the issue is going to be what we're going to see is a football games what is 60 minutes right I think what we're going to see is a 35 minute fight and then at that 35 minute mark Penn State gets heavy and they start to lean on you and then that's where Boise State doesn't have the depth of bodies to continue the fight. Gente props curious what you think in this matchup all right let me hear them the rushing yards is 127 and a half you can't really bet them for a touch I mean you can but you probably you're laying a lot it's minus 250 that's the best price out there for a touchdown for two plus touchdowns you're not even getting two to what it's plus 170 but let's talk about that rushing yards number 127 and a half gets this Penn State defense. That's the part that to me in and Sam Sammy P you kind of you you you nudge that it before I came on they're more than him this team is more than him but for Penn State and this I'm going to flip it over for Penn State I think they see him the way that Boise State's defense is going to ID 44 every single play is the way that they're going to make sure that they shut this guy down I think he I think he might I think he might go for a hundred I don't think he's going to get to that close up 130 the 127 I think that their goal is to make sure that he does not beat them if they win it a different way sure okay no problem but their goal is to make sure he does not beat them and I think they do understand that assignment so no I would I would I would bet he does not go for 127 so they have one loss this year they went to Oregon and dominated for three quarters in that game yeah I ended up losing 37 34 I don't think I don't think this is your average sleeper that doesn't have a chance I don't think that I don't think that I don't need a state is Arizona State and again could we be wrong about this a hundred percent it's a football game it's a one-off anything can happen yeah I just think the way that they're coached and the way they carry themselves and the way that they've played against good teams it's a lot to give that team it's a lot um let me ask you about this Michael because Joe and I have our bread buttered a lot of ways on Notre Dame and I know I know I'm nervous I am nervous about it because Georgia is perennially dangerous and they have a lot of pros on that roster and their talent is unquestionable I still think that Notre Dame this year is undervalued underrated they're better at quarterback I think they have better weapons on offense I think their D line is very good yes I think they're gonna win tomorrow I could be very wrong about this and I have angered all the Georgia fans leaning on the general league and their Instagram photos but I think I think Notre Dame is going to win tomorrow and I'm I'm talking myself rather than talk myself out of it and be nervous and be a nerd or a four-eyed virgin or whatever they want to call me on the internet I'm going to convince myself but it convinced myself that Notre Dame is winning tomorrow you're not wrong I mean Riley Leonard is absolutely better than a guy who's only thrown 40 passes this year right so you're not wrong about that like those are like accurate facts that you can just like you can throw back in there like their quarterback so here's what let's look at the progression of Georgia this year are they big yeah are they strong absolutely are they fast for sure can they run the football no do they have people that can catch the football no even when the football's there when Carson Beck who was supposed to be a first-round draft pick top 10 pick when he was even doing things right it still wasn't good and so all those you're right about all this stuff go ahead and clip it out and that's the thing like you're right about all this stuff Georgia's gonna win this football game why why do you say that what gives you confidence in that I think that they I think Gunnar Stockton is more okay I'll be honest let's do it my family's from Perry Georgia that's in Houston County he's from Tiger Georgia that's up north near the North Carolina border I think he gets these dudes I think he on like same as Jake from who's from Houston County as well I think he gets these dudes I think he gets these guys I think these guys get him better than they got Carson Beck better than Carson Beck got them I think they're and which let me ask you guys this which pregame speech do you want to hear Kirby smarter Dan Lanning Lanning probably yeah I did landing yep when he smashed that helmet this year I love that when he smashed the helmet at halftime yeah because Kirby smarts give us some fire speeches out too and so I just I think that these boys are gonna be fired up and having a guy that's one of them and I think I do think that's we underestimate that but having a guy that's one of them same thing even going to Clemson whichever Lawrence Trevor Lawrence is still one of them having a guy that's one of you even though he's inexperienced even though and we saw Niko EMI lava really struggle against Ohio State having a guy that's one of you I think that this team's gonna figure it out and they've had some time and I think so that's what I'm that's why that's why I think Georgia's gonna win but if Notre Dame wins hey man shout out to Marcus Freeman because he is he's brought a little bit of seasoning if he will to that roster right like this it may not showing up with raisins in the potato salad this is this is he brought some like they got some flavor now right they rock they they rock him with the old bay they got they got Tony Shachery's now and it is like it's cool to watch like a team that's they're still heavy they're still big they're still strong but now they got a little flavor they got a little sauce and this ain't just like bold chicken and broccoli this is they this is a meal you want to eat I was gonna say so the correlation I think that you're getting to is that they went from putting ketchup on their chicken to doing the paprika garlic powder onion powder yes all that right like just just doing it right and figuring it out yes and they are and they're there and it's it's amazing it's awesome to watch because they were they were so close for so long and like we've just just under Brian Kelly right they were so close for so long they made it to the playoff they they played in the BCS national championship game and they just couldn't get over the hump because they didn't have like if Tyler Eiffer is your like it's fascinating and you say getting guys ready to play ever since that NIU loss watching Freeman close yeah he's getting them ready to play every single time yep that that entire team has been focused Riley Leonard over 100 rushing yards we'll talk about that well they've been they've been having some trouble stopping these mobile quarterbacks got to get to Ohio State Oregon this point spread interesting you know we know what happened in the regular season on the road with Ohio State but Ohio State's been the favorite throughout and it's been almost a field goal Michael what do you think about this matchup yep if they play here I'm I I'll be honest I'm terrified of this game we already talked about Dan Lanning and how is this team is going to be ready to play they're gonna be focusing we fired up Ryan Day we you mentioned it with James Franklin right Sam like you mentioned that with James Franklin like the way he gets tight in big games which is that's a huge variable Ohio State same thing with Ryan Day perfect play Ryan Day and if he lets his team play they are in my estimation the best team in the country second best maybe behind Texas but they're right there they're living in that world and no disrespect to Georgia with that one it just is Georgia you're playing with your backup quarterback you've got some other injuries but if Ohio State if Ryan Day just lets them go out and play and what just go out and play go play football you have three NFL wide receivers on your roster right there was six-yard passes throw the ball far throw it far and then make it and I say this as a former defensive back make a defensive back make a mistake and that mistake can be a person it can be a pass interference that mistake can be falling down and letting the guy just be wide open the mistake could be you're not fast enough to run with these guys do that and the other part is you have two really good running backs so if they want to put a halo over top of you to protect their corners okay they're gonna put a halo over me so we got two over the top or we have three deep or playing quarters okay guess what let's run the football let's run the football it just it makes sense that Ohio State's the favorite they have too many weapons oh and by the way defensively that defensive front from there is very good they they create pressure they create bad angles organ they're gonna they gotta fight for their lives i think organ does win i think it comes down to the final possession honestly i think this is a game that comes down to the final possession but if okay so here's the challenge we've got to make two picks for this round you got to pick two of the four the challenge is like i can tell you and say okay yeah texas gonna win but do i want to take them because do i need them in the next round do i need them in the championship game if they get that far i i would pick Ohio state to win but if you think they're gonna win the championship you can't take Ohio state against Oregon you can't do it because you got to save them and a lot of people are going to use them a Notre Dame uh it sucks that in some my entries are already used them because i think they're going to make a run so i don't want to pick that game so that's the tough part you it's like with survivor in these kinds uh like with march madness and with this specific counts football playoff one you want to pick someone you want them to win and then as soon as they win you want them to lose that's that's the hard part because you need to have options uh down the road man i keep going back to this Riley Leonard prop 34 and a half rushing yards and i i expect that to be the path to a Georgia victory forcing him to throw from the pocket but we've seen the the Georgia Bulldogs have a lot of issues against mobile quarterbacks we saw it in that Georgia tech game or king had three rushing touchdowns we saw it against Alabama milro went for 117 and two touchdowns and we know Leonard can do that the prop of 34 and a half that's certainly something that i'm going to bet in addition to the iris winning i heard a lot of things on social media i had a really exciting night if you didn't check my ex last night i went from Georgia to Detroit oh i had this sec Charlie Brown come at me about you know Georgia's going to win 50 to 3 you know i like okay painting the whole picture like one guy's telling well the only reason they gave up all those yards of Georgia tech is because it was rivalry game like no the reason they gave up all those yards is because they're not as good defensively as they've been in the last five years they're not this is a team that gave up 40 to Alabama that gave up 30 to a lot of teams this year and yeah i like oh look at their recruiting class so what who cares about their recruiting class like i i think it's this simple if you flip the teams if you flip the helmets what is the spread in the game if you put Notre Dame's players in Georgia gear what is the number i think we got it we got the right number but the market moved it you don't think you think i think your name should be favored i think the iris met whoever texas plays whether it be ohio state or organ i would like that team the other side against texas the other side so i would burn texas and it's just to win right it's not to cover you just have to win the game just to win i don't think texas loses the arizona state i don't know that arizona state can move the ball on that defense so that's what i would do but i'm not in survivor i suck at survivor so maybe is i i think the strategy is very interesting because you need them to lose quickly so that makes sense with texas and i guess i'll probably definitely have at least one of the entries texas penn state because i expect penn state to win most likely but are they gonna go past this that the next run are they gonna get into the championship game probably not let's go there uh we've talked a lot about boisey and why we like them getting double digits this is the game tonight uh we we went over the gente number 127 and a half and i know you'd like boisey getting the points um that my concern as i mentioned a felder is defensively what we're gonna get from this team is it just going to be penn state running all over them all game and that would be their path to winning by a couple of scores i could see it i also look at what penn state has done defensively in a couple games i mean not to compare boisey to oragon but oragon did whatever it wanted in the entire game in the big 10 championship it's tough i i'm not gonna bet a lot on boisey state but i'll i'll have a taste and my favorite bet is we know is Notre Dame um i probably won't bet texas arizona state i like the over in ohio state oragon no those two teams had almost a thousand yards combined in the last meeting and chip kelly finally realized oh hey i can throw the ball to my NFL receivers in the last game kids michigan they wouldn't throw it chip was so stubborn and then against you know Tennessee he's like ah you know i'm gonna throw the ball to my NFL talent and they beat the snot out of Tennessee and did whatever they wanted so that's a game last meeting low 60s i think like 31 30 or 33 30 check don't remember the final score but it was in the low 30 32 31 there you go yeah so this total opened like 52 got bet up to 55 i do think it's still a little low you know i get i get Texas USC rose bowl vibes matt liner bench young just up and down the field those are the vibes i get from that game you got a lot of NFL talent on offense um i like boisey i don't i'm not in love with it i'm not going to make a big bet on it i'm just willing to sort of find out if Penn State can can win this big game uh you know easy to win at home when you're a huge favorite winning on a neutral is a little different the regular season match up Oregon Ohio State that closed 54 and a half obviously 63 points scored in that one and right now we're sitting 55 and a half over at Betam GM it i do get the sense okay the high total of the of the four that one it's probably going to go over and the low total Georgia Notre Dame 45 and a half that's probably going to go under with the back of quarterback Stockton going against an elite defense and then you know Notre Dame is going to want to run the ball because they're going to get it they would get into trouble if Riley Leonard's passing game is going to decide this one so uh yeah i would go that route it feels like the low total is going to go under favorite bet of the four yeah hmm between sides and totals and i've talked myself into Notre Dame so hard i've yeah since before we got the match up we were saying Notre Dame over Georgia i like Ohio State i'm worried we get a score like last time and they don't cover the number so i don't know that i'll get there maybe there will be a live opportunity if it goes back and forth like you suggest that means we're we're going to have opportunities on both sides if you want to jump in and do some live betting if that's something that you're looking at i'm going to play Texas man i don't know about you i'm going to play Texas at 12 and a half yeah i'm not i'm not opposed to that at all i just i went against Texas last week and Clemson had third and goal at the one fourth and goal at doing it on new years day when you have three playoff games but they are doing it basically against one playoff game they're like oh we're doing it earlier yeah but if i go to the game i'm gonna probably miss most of the playoff game not interested i'm good we got enough going on all right it was gonna make a price too on you sorry i was gonna make a price on you being out of your house tonight at eight p.m or later the no i'm gonna go ask yeah minus infinity the no the minus infinity yeah i'm no i'll be out really i would have lost a lot of money on that but the question is well not not at a bar going to some time i'm not going anywhere i'm going nowhere to not i want to be asleep by eight o'clock the game won't be over then so if you're going out do you wait for the game to end or do you kind of catch it in the background the second half pent state Boise uh yeah depends how it's going depends how it's going so i'll go out i don't know what time but i'll say got to work and then i'll go out like at half time depending how it's going or maybe after the game we'll see this pent state Boise i don't think it's going to be the most exciting game but we do lean Boise as far as it gets the spread goes what after last night do you think there's any way lions win last week next week they get the one and they end up saying let's just give it to Campbell coach of the year o'Connell is my vote if i had a vote he talked about me too for a month i'm trying to handicap the voters i mean o'Connell's such a massive favorite now it's hard to bet into this market at this point you know he's fifteen sixteen dollars to win minus obviously um it's hard for me to think that a coach who took a team with a preseason win total of six and a half and had to reinvent Sam Darnold it's hard for me to believe that guy doesn't win the award narrative-wise um i also like if Andy recant win the award for always having a good team how can Dan Campbell win it for being an NFC championship team last year i don't i'm look and i i give Campbell a lot of flack and people don't like that i i think he's going to cost them a big game in the playoffs i respect him i do i'm not saying he's a bad coach i just think he's an awful decision maker both things can be true i would not bet Dan Campbell what's the best price eight to one now in the market the problem with these markets going into the final week is that what the books do is that they just they're willing to give you these guys away they're willing to give you guys eight to one twelve to one fourteen to one because they just need a couple people to think value look at the value and burn twenty bucks fifty bucks a hundred bucks and if they can burn ten people that's a three thousand dollars if they can burn more the money adds up but there are how many people do you know that are going to look at this number and go wow that's a good price on Campbell i think it's probably not going to win so this is that time where you make the favorite expensive and then jack the price up on every dog and just hope that people bet these perceived valuable numbers that's all this is you can make Dan Campbell fifteen to one i don't think he's winning this this market feels over to me at least O'Connell checks every box that we look for and that when we handicap this award year after year so i do think it's going to be okay i do believe that he locked it up uh this past week against the uh Green Bay Packers now for MVP we talked about the idea of burrow and how the number went from two fifty down to thirty to one and what Troy Eggman had to say in the monday night football broadcast that i'm sure a lot of people were paying attention to but we haven't talked that much about what's happening at the top Josh Allen Lamar Betem Jim is Josh Allen minus three hundred Lamar plus two twenty five the bills have nothing to play for on sunday the ravens have the three seed and the division to play for and when you look at the stats total yards Lamar has almost six hundred more total yards in Josh Allen Lamar has three more total touchdowns than Josh Allen but Josh Allen is minus three hundred as the two seed Lamar probably the three seed could this just be wrong and and Lamar ends up winning again these are very good questions and i feel like Allen's done everything he's had to do to get to this point i wouldn't lay three dollars with Josh at this point in time i but i don't i mean you're better at these markets than i am i feel very good saying that i mean you hit some monsters this year yeah but like at this point in the season i i just think they're all over for the most part week eight i think they're all over i think the favorites win most of these awards and that's not exactly a hot take i don't know i mean i don't know that i would bet Lamar at two fifty or two seventy five it just feels like Josh Allen given all that he lost given all the weapons that he lost to get this team to this position it feels like he's done enough he's been incredible this year and he's the reason they are where they are same for Lamar obviously Lamar is the straw that stirs the drink in Baltimore but man i mean they're Bill Simmons before the season saying like oh Buffalo's missed their chance the windows closed these were takes from people like they they don't have receivers yeah they're screwed i mean he's he's and he doesn't have the gaudy numbers that burrow has but if you look at their schedule and look at all their big wins he's been the most important factor in basically every win this season and that's what the MVP is i'm fascinated to see how the voting plays out in the comeback player of the year again i'm not saying it's a great award to bet we've talked throughout the year when he was good good odds why you needed to bet burrow burrows minus three seventy five at bet him gm that's the best price i see i see up to minus 500 for burrow to be the comeback but i'm fascinated by it because it's burrow or it's darnold and the rule change in the summer basically said don't vote for darnold darnold's gonna get votes is it gonna be enough to overtake burrow that's the question but you talk about comeback sam darnold his career was dead he was labeled a bust multiple stops and now his career has been saved and now there are viking fans having a real conversation do we trade jj mccarthy do we lock up this guy long term like what what do we do now because they've had so much success with sam darnold he's going to get votes man and for a good chunk of the year there are a number of sports books that removed him from the comeback player of the year market and now they all have him back up i still last year's comeback player of the year with the guy that died on the field not winning the award to me it made it an unbedible market for me because i i have no idea what the voters are going to do no idea there is no definition or there has it been i guess there technically is now but is there is there a definition are they going to follow it do they care yeah i'm just really interested in that one uh we know saquon is going to be the offensive player of the year that was a great hit by you talked about that during the summer on this show why you love that uh up for grabs dpoy still i mean tj watt he's been the favorite throughout the year but we're really cool for all of the games i've never seen Notre Dame that loud nobody set the entire game it's been incredible what they've done with with the noise and just catering to the younger audience i mean when you started going to Notre Dame games when you're younger same here like that place was dead silent and now it's like a normal home field advantage couldn't agree more i've been in that stadium at least 50 times i think it's closer to 75 games i've seen there it was the the best atmosphere that that i've ever been a part of oh yeah i went with Todd Furman and my buddy pain insider from the bet the board pod and like this was at the end of the first quarter like hey does uh Notre Dame fans stand the whole game i'm like not a chance they stood the whole game first time ever yeah whole game nobody sat down the whole game i mean the first time i've ever experienced that um and uh it was you know obviously it made a difference i thought the moment was probably too big for indiana uh no Notre Dame settled in after the interception and the long touchdown run by jara my love but uh it was you know i it was cold for me being in vegas the last decade but my goodness just walking around campus with a little bit of snow on the ground i don't know i brought back memories to the heyday when i first started going uh then during the luholtz years you make bets and positions based on your numbers and you've done it for a long time you've done a very good job of it what is your number with karsen beck and what is your number without karsen beck in this game yeah it's a good question and i'm i'm gonna tell you that i i don't know if i have a great handle on it for a variety of reasons number one we haven't seen stocked in too much um i know they ended up winning the game against texas but uh you know he started all okay early and then i think it's like last 13 pass attempts 15 net yards if you count saks that that's not good against the Notre Dame secondary that ranks number one in success rate yeah EPA per drop back karsen beck i would have said at the start of the season i thought i had a handle on it i would have said oh karsen beck's worth about five six points to the point spread and then karsen beck went out there and had 20 turn over worthy plays this year and didn't play that well so um right now conservatively i'll say he's worth three so uh you know i pure number right now has noriname by half a point just i'm just talking power rating i'm i diving in the matchup noriname by half with karsen beck it would be georgia by two and a half what are you betting for this game i'm betting georgia though uh because match up wise i think gunner stocked in for what he does best might actually fit georgia best this year they don't have elite perimeter players on the outside like they've had in the last couple years with bowers and maconkey we probably undervalued i and we knew they were good players especially bowers but go look and see what they're doing the rookie seasons in the NFL and you're like my goodness uh we probably georgia had some elite skilled players they don't have that this year in fact their wide receivers lead the nation and drop percentage uh but this has been a banged up georgia offensive line they're now healthy etn their best running back has been banged up he's missed four games now healthy off his best game of the season against texas so i think they're gonna line it up they got 40 pounds per man on average with their old line against an undersized noriname defensive front they're running between the tackles and mano imano i like georgia here you guys like noriname yeah i mean i'm gonna be on you know i'm gonna be perfectly i'm sticking to my guns because that's what i bet when georgia was a dog on the look ads but i i'll be perfectly frank i did a deep-dye podcast yesterday the more i dive into it the more maybe it's me being the fan the chicken little ham won a big post-season game in 30 years uh yeah i i was i was warming the noriname i think noriname is probably the right side but curvy i'll tell you this curvy is one seven straight post-season games by 25 points per game with extra time nobody's been better than curvy last five years oh we're terrified well i am terrified and i've got noriname you know futures and um for me it's this simple win this game and then with what i'm holding i can get creative right get them into the semis and then i can start betting off that and you know taking pokes on other teams but this was this was what joe and i wanted all along when the bracket came out we went to the bottom said let's find a team that has a chance to make a run because we wanted to avoid as in you were on the show when we when we got the bracket you know all these these high power rated teams the Ohio states the organs the texas the tennessee they're all on the north side of the bracket so we we bet notordame um you know ten to one give or take and this is the last stop so we're we're biased i mean that like but i'm also i'm nervous um i do i do think though it's funny how the brain works because i like this show has done a great job of posting clips and every clip on notordame georgia is just littered with georgia big georgia rolls georgia by 40 georgia by 50 and that that makes me feel better to an extent but i'm still i'm still nervous of an scc juggernaut taking us out to lunch you know just like just destroying us tomorrow but that's why they play the games buddy yeah can i ask why not pen state as far as a team to make a run they get boyzy i know i don't like pen state that much as a team but then they're gonna i mean noordame georgia whatever way you see it is going to be a war i mean it is going to be in between the trenches and the pen state gets you know a team probably less than a hundred percent physical physically after that game why why didn't you guys that you know jump on the pen state in any lines i think you're going to say two words james franklin yeah yeah because we view the winner of this game taking out pen state all right fair enough even though pen state this year has been like all the guys i talked to have been extremely high on their power rating pen state like really yeah i mean what are they in your system like five or six yeah they are they are but when you take it i mean you don't play a lot you know tough schedule you do what you're supposed to do against every every inferior opponent that's what james franklin does best i think he's 33 and one last 34 games is a fair not against the spread just winning and then it's not like they got blown out against the buck guys or organs so i mean you can only upgrade their power rating a little bit from the start of the season even even if you're not that impressed with them i i know we're going back a little bit but it plays into the handicap of tonight that smu game the score got out of hand early a couple pick six is also a second-in-goal interception for a third one for smu how did you view that that win for pen state and uh and kind of go into this number of 11 total 53 and a hook against Boise yeah misleading final i mean we stay that all the time but it clearly was and you want to talk about a game-changing play i thought it was obviously you had two pick sixes you had an interception at the goal line in the second half but i thought the all-important play was jennings either not failing to run for a clear first out on fourth out on that first drive when they're inside the 20 and then missing a wide open he had two options and somehow they they didn't convert either one or he could have thrown to the tight end uh for a touchdown uh if he hits him so if it's seven nothing did they settle in the game because they had no problems moving the football they missed up the oga on top of it i wasn't impressed with pen state's offense for at least a majority of that game so what do i do with this one i want to play against pen state but the problem is i think Boise state's overrated i was not impressed with Boise state down the stretch you look at the Wyoming game they could have lost the Utah state game they could have lost the San Jose state game was one of the most misleading finals of the season i mean for and they could have lost that game and somehow they covered a two touchdown spread uh i i know they're gonna have tricks up their sleeve they're rested but uh i just from a physicality standpoint i don't see them holding up and i know everybody goes back to the Oregon game they kind of beat in Oregon Oregon was struggling with the offense a line back in week two that i mean if Oregon would play Boise now that they they hammer him which dog would you rather get a piece of Arizona state or Boise state spread uh Boise for me because i i actually think Arizona state's in worst shape number one uh it starts with Jordan Tyson their wide receiver you know being out didn't impact them in the big 12 championship game but uh uh i think it will impact them here Texas will play man coverage uh unlike Iowa state will load an extra guy or two in the box to stop scataboo um i like a couple of the weapons for Boise state more than i do ASU uh i i'm not a big fan of Madsen but i like camper at wide receiver i like they're tied in so i i think if you're talking upsets or even just covering against the spread Boise's got a better shot as far as i'm concerned uh with Brad Powers here on pet ql daily joe oh sammy p man it might be a repeat of the first round that's what you're saying favorites favorite favorite uh what about Ohio state Oregon been two and a half most of the week uh rematch factor what do you think i'm not on the favorite here i but i'm not on the doggie goal missed an extra point so they probably could have put 40 if they wanted to i think Ohio state stays super aggressive like they were against Tennessee i do not want to see the Michigan game plan ever again running into the interior of the Oregon defensive front um and i i'm anxious to see how Ohio state plays defensively they played a lot of cover one put uh in their corners on an island in the first game got destroyed do they play a little bit more cover too i think it could open up the run game a little bit for Oregon i like James i like Gabriel at least moving around there was plays to be had i mean i was right there in person uh Niko was so tentative no separation for the Tennessee wide receivers and there were still there were still some gaps there in that Ohio state defense that just you know Tennessee come block anybody so i can tell you this if Oregon blocks Sawyer and JTT like they did in the first game they're gonna put 30 plus points on the board here yeah i get USC Texas vibes from this game like the liner Vince Young game just back and forth and if Chip realizes that he has NFL receivers again like he did against Tennessee forget it i mean 55 55 is a big number until it's not until it's 28 27 going into the fourth quarter and you're like wow like that's really not a big number um you know a lot of these Miami totals this year you're like oh that's a big number and then you watch Miami play both both sides of the ball and you go oh that total should have been 80 yeah and Nick Saban said i think like five years ago great offense beats great defense in today's day and age in college football yeah you have two really good quarterbacks i mean just what we will say about Will Howard he's he's been pretty good uh this season all right so we've we basically hit all the the four playoff games we've got a couple minutes left you got a slate today Alabama Michigan Louisville Washington South Carolina Illinois Baylor LSU anything excites you there my biggest bet is on Alabama again big surprise heavy chalk for OBP mr chalk but i i mean if you're stack ranking the best i mean Michigan was an average football team until the last couple weeks of the season they were five and five beat Cameron Northwestern obviously the big upset over Ohio State but if you're staggering in their top players top seven or eight guys aren't playing so i mean if you remove them from their power rating i mean this is a below average team probably you plug their power rating in their schedule and then they'd be like a five win team that's what i put their season win total at so i think Alabama as long as there's someone motivated hammers Michigan today anything under 17's worth a a pizza bet what about props uh you mentioned that you've got some props maybe even if it's uh going back to the college football playoff yeah the one again i like george's rush attack so what i took advantage of was Trevor ETN over rush yards and then that's gotten a off are we just jaded by our positions on Notre Dame pre-flat are they really going to get killed tomorrow because like the way that everybody talks about this matchup Notre Dame doesn't have a chance and i'm i'm just wondering what we're missing i don't think it's us missing anything i think it's other people missing stuff that's where i'm at and maybe it's more schedule based sec team against independent goin against a weaker schedule this year like there are a couple of games and maybe that niu game is lingering with some people maybe they're not going to say it because it was so long go literally like basically a a full season ago um maybe it's them missing it and not us but yeah it could be i mean that's in play i'm which teams is georgia boat race sad tomorrow me very sad oh that would that would be a long game that would be incredibly long even longer than the four hours are already going to get so if you look at blowout victories texas pushed to overtime georgia tech remember eight over times massachusetts but you may still score 21 on them like you know they won by two touchdowns against tana c um the texas game that was that was a blowout they kicked their ass there's there's no way around it um but clemson to start the year that was a blowout i don't know man i just don't see it how are they going to blow out this noter dame defense and i think that's where we keep coming back to not only the backup quarterback stepping in but this noter dame defense i kind of view them as being blowout proof but you know maybe we're wrong i feel like if riley lennard turns into mass potatoes we are cooked that could happen move the ball georgia gets up seven nothing georgia gets a pick six all of a sudden it's 14 nothing and then riley lennard is forced to play from behind that's my big fear but i the more i see georgia by 30 40 50 the more i want to bet more on noter dame but that's because i'm sicko and you know that um yeah i don't know isn't it good is it gonna be like um yeah oh i don't know it's gonna be rough it's so sad tomorrow is it gonna be like tonight you'd imagine the pen state defense like felder was talking about i mean it's it makes perfect sense they're gonna load up to stop gente are they gonna load up to stop this noter dame run game and then you force lennard to throw from the pocket see that's why that's what makes me feel better i look at the mobile court of acts that they've gone against and they have struggled mightily and they were not able to adjust in games so that makes me feel that that element is going to be there for that noter dame offense and that could be the difference maker yeah and that's what texas really doesn't have with yours because yours for the last eight weeks has been playing with a freaking cast on his foot so he's not able to move about the cabin and that's why texas really struggled in two meetings against georgia um you know arches a much more mobile quarterback but yours has been the guy because sark likes those older quarterbacks but milro ate them alive on the ground hane's king ate them alive on the ground so we'll see i'm willing to find out um we have a couple notes on the winter classic including one from our boss asking if you would go to the game if it was in your backyard i would look out the kitchen window i wouldn't draw the blinds i wouldn't close the curtains or whatever we got rid of the blinds now it's just curtains i i would keep them open i would watch but i'm not going outside maybe if tucker needs to go to the bathroom i'll let him out but season eight thirteen and one despite having a roster that can go on a run and he's right about that they fired their coach they are nine four and three since the coaching change four points out of the playoffs they are ten to one to make the playoffs he makes a valid case and that coach seen this before from austin jim Montgomery definitely a jolt in that room right now and this was a team that was supposed to be a playoff team coming into the year so i i 10 to one you're i mean you're not getting the price maybe you got 14 games ago but yeah i mean that makes that makes sense what if the blues just come out and blast the black hawks today i kind of want that is that bad that i say that a lot no no it's not bad at all no i it's a good bet i think uh based on everything that you say i'm not going to act like i'm the hockey expert here but we we've seen that from this specific team too right where you make the coaching change and then it just changes everything it this that does happen a lot and we we spend a lot of time in the NFL talking about fired coach bumps didn't happen with any of these teams this year jets saints bears you see it in hockey though you really do so yeah i wouldn't be surprised at all well there's also this and and i think mike brings up a good point about betting it at mgm because the range on the blues to make the playoffs the lowest price that i can see right now is five to one there's a five a six a seven an eight and a ten so yeah the ten is probably a good bet considering where the market is in terms of range yep yeah no that's not a bad look at all uh i've not done anything with any hockey futures have you done anything is that something where you come in on any anything before the season or do you let a play out a little bit no i i was thinking about betting some colorado though when i saw that price on them to win the cup um yeah but no i haven't done anything yet i have not um and i i like betting playoff hockey a lot um but it's just what you know how it goes with the football it's just well football's yeah 80 percent of my life right now i haven't even been betting college basketball the way i want to that's that's been another well that's a different story on a different day maybe because i can't bet well that's going to change in a week oh really yeah it won't let me bet it i can't bet it anywhere because corby corby ruined me you're like man well it's my fault though like i was betting on chicago state at 11 in the morning and like the guys are like no just shut his water off you know he knows what he's doing but those weren't how heavy how heavy were you going i went bet a thousand on chicago state redford at 11 a.m and it won by 40 points and the guy was like yeah like let's not take his bets anymore like you're the only one you're the only one bet that gave i like i said i did it to myself it's my fault yeah i'm not blaming anybody but myself but that's the problem like if you log into a book and start firing nickels or dimes on obscure college basketball and the total wins by 30 points like it's your own fault it's your own fault do you do you have enough options where it's a pain in your ass but do you have enough options where okay you can get a decent if you combine all the books what you could bet on a game where okay that's at least a decent wager when you add them all up it's like hundreds if that at a couple places so i mean not really i'm frustrated i am but yeah people don't want to hear that but that's the reality like if you're good at college basketball and i'm not saying that i am although i've had a pretty good run over the last few years if you got guys that know what they're doing like corby that that beat the closing line by three four five points like you can't in november you can't bet you just can't you can't get down so that's the problem but that's you know nobody wants to hear that they want your 16 parley you know like that's why all the commercials pump oh it's about the same game parley not bet chicago state and 11 a.m on thanksgiving week so have you ever done well let me ask you that okay they want the 16 parley okay i get that and they want you to bet that too so to make sure that you have a book as an option do you ever do some stupid public bets i go for a contenters on this yes yeah there was actually a segment of the bet bash that that spanky throws every august in vegas he had uh a panel on account longevity this year and the guy was basically saying a couple times a week it won't be a big bet but i will throw in a three four leg parley and i hope that it loses because then they see it and go oh okay he's gambling it's a thing it's an art to to be able to keep a good account at good limits get paid it's a very very interesting fabric in this business to keep good accounts that pay and that don't cut it's an art really call it priming an account priming you have it for a while yes priming it was a great it was a very informative segment of a bet bash i mean the guy's saying like i've i think he said he lost like 500 accounts on his life and wow okay so that's one way to try and eliminate getting kneecapped to twelve dollars or whatever but you know people don't want to take guys that win and that guy i mean that guy's lost you know 50 times the accounts that that most people have lost so but it was interesting how he he does to your point throw bets out there that are minus ev that look like you don't know what you're doing and then a trader sees it and says oh okay all right he's fine and then you just move on yeah i like having conversations like this and the one we had earlier about what to do with a free bet so if you ever have issues like this or something you're thinking about that you'd like to hear our opinion on don't hesitate to send them to us and we'll bring them up on the show especially now that we have fewer games with the NFL i mean and what i was getting at with we're gonna have more time with college basketball with everything else going on it's just these uh the 16th late game slates are now over after this week after we get through uh sunday so things are going to calm down a little bit and we'll be able to spend more time NHL NBA college basketball uh as we head into the NFL playoffs you just run out of time when you've got all these different futures and awards to talk about as well uh that people are interested in it gets challenging but we'll be able to do more of that uh moving forward and really looking forward to that and damn and hope you can find some accounts that you can bet into in college basketball if you were to find a couple and so it's kind of like a fresh start would you go that route where you're putting in some donkey plays donkster plays yes other problem basically that's basically yeah donkster plays honestly whatever he gives out play that the other caveat is is that i'm back in Illinois so i'm like i'm not starting a bunch of accounts not that i would start i mean i could do a couple books here in Illinois but then when i leave Illinois i just take it all out because i'm not in Illinois you know so like i go back to Massachusetts and then i can't to me it's not worth the risk not what's not not a risk it just i just it's too much like to hassle and drop money and then go get the money and no it's not worth it so it's all right we'll figure it out uh blues black hawks first period over bang bang bang first period over okay one and a half i think makes a good point though about the blues to make the playoffs especially at that price considering there's a five to one in the market and he likes blues 10 to 1 i think that's a good look when did they fire the coach uh well they're they're nine four and three since the change so 16 games ago okay man that's yeah i mean sometimes you miss the move but we can't predict the future we don't know what's going to happen but yeah you know at 10 to 1 like you said when you compare the number to to the rest of the market that means it's probably going to go pretty soon if i look back recently with the blues look man i don't think it's been okay the best number i see actually this is the best number i see sam i've seen all year like in November it got to eight it was nine a couple of weeks ago and now we're sitting 10 so yeah go bet that now that's a pretty good one especially if they win a nationally televised game today winter class they're gonna jump on it they win five to one it's like oh maybe they will make the playoffs boom 10 to one gone by going to be fired doing everything you possibly can to win a bunch of meaningless games and hurt us for the future that is happening right now with the Giants it's happening in a number of spots we're seeing it happening in Jacksonville as well as they win over the weekend the Jets did the right thing in firing sala because they knew they were gonna fire sala anyways they were looking for some sort of a spark but now it's pure madness and we'll get into their game on thursday and friday on the show because everybody wants out now all of their best players want to be out like rogers has got to go and there's a lot going on a lot of chaos they're starting the interviewing process early sam they've interviewed ron reveira and they're going to interview rex ryan like seriously that's why you jumped ahead early in the season and got rid of sala so you can get those interviews done there's casting a wide net and then there's just wasting everybody's time and the Jets are wasting everybody's time i think but they are so dumb maybe they hire one of those two guys this has been sort of a trend though people going back to old coaches we've seen it in college at a couple places scott frost going back to central florida okay i i get it that worked i wasn't our engineer rex ryan worked with the jets they had a couple decent runs but they i mean they never want to super bowl with rex ryan i i don't know i mean i understand taking the meetings they're not seriously considering rex ryan though are they they better not be uh richrod right the big return it's another guy yeah it's listen yeah he wants some games they're a playoff team that was a lockdown defense and nothing due with rex ryan or very little to do with rex ryan being the head coach i just thought that was uh that was comical that let's go guys game has passed him up ron ravera and i like ron ravera but he should be doing media stuff and so rex ryan they lost in the conference championship game in back-to-back years it looks like oh nine and ten the sanchez the quarterback yeah yep actually won some games that they were not expected to win against some really good teams with sanchez as a quarterback protect the football but yeah everything that he says if you catch any of it it's like not dude that's not today's game at all but uh those are the guys that get those desk jobs the former head coaches former give you georgia minus one south point in vegas our friend chris andrews just moved to pick him pick him on georgia Notre Dame but yes georgia wins by 50 yes of course um are we betting Boise are we doing it or no i'm man i'm wishy washy on that game i got to be honest i'm just worried about their defense and i i totally understand the idea paul has brought it up to to us a bunch that he likes Boise in the game that if he were so live and survivor he'd considered taking a shot on Boise to win outright and we talked about it with Brad powers and he's like yeah that that's final score not indicative of what was really going on with the pick sixes and the the red zone interception i just defensively i think Boise state's gonna have some problems here and that's what i'm hasn't said him but plus 11 i do think it's the right side i'll bet a little Boise don't love it to be to be clear yeah love Notre Dame tomorrow like Boise and i will tell Alex's first period over in the winter classic that you wouldn't watch if it was in your backyard over one and a half first period i might take a look but i mean not the entire game i'll just uh let's see update in the third period yet running back i rather quarterbacks go for well over a hundred against Georgia 110 plus is 920 125 plus is 14 to 1 if you really like that one so i might play an alt or two on Riley Leonard i'm playing Texas i think they steamroll Arizona state uh numbers 12 and a half based on what some of the sharper books are doing this is going to climb and by kickoff it might get to that two touchdown number that we thought it was going to be uh but that makes perfect sense did you mention Oregon Ohio state over that you know i didn't i do i like that one too but i don't want to give a million bucks out so i'll probably end up on that one tomorrow i might tell you on that one and you know you mentioned Alex what about uh Mikey i i like that look 10 to 1 lose playoffs make it make that bet now before Louis so yeah bet um gm 10 to one go get it probably won't last tonight all right uh Paul Aspen in recovery are you doing anything for lightning vets for today the uh the ramley did just get a text that Paul Aspen may have lost his internet oh oh i did not seem to be true oh so Paul's back in the coffins back into the ether oh he was dead all right people what do you got Jake uh i was already thinking about taking Boise so sure let's all go down on this ship together um just like we will know today because i'm firmly on that uh as well let's keep building some uh master's coverage for April uh that would be really really great i think i'm gonna make a bet and a also young because i'm a sicko and i can't help myself even though my resolution was to not reactionary bet to uh some of these numbers but Walker Bueller 66 to one and going to a red Sox coaching staff that is very hell bent on making guys throw their best pitches and his velocity was up in october looked like the guy he was in 2021 and 2022 so it's just a number that i think isn't going to be around once we get to opening day so 66 to one i'm going to take a flyer i'm Walker Bueller for my first day also young bet which i know everybody is definitely really interested in right now why not why would they not be and we were kind of rush yesterday at the very end and you made your first and outside young right yeah michael king at twenty to one uh i mean he was just awesome like when i look at guys that i want to bet right now it's guys who are dominant who are young in their prime like michael king is 27 he's gonna turn 28 he was fantastic in the entire second half he's really good in the postseason first start with the Padres dominant at 12k in that game so just a guy who's arrow i think is pointing up he's gonna be probably the number one for the Padres i'm willing to bet on that at 21 another number that i think could like michael king to me is somebody who's going to end up like reagan's or scuba from last year where it opened 20 25 to one and by the time we get to opening day it's 12 or 10 so just feel like both these numbers with bior and king are going to move over the next couple months and i'd like to be on the right side of them because i do think they're two guys who could legitimately win yeah i'm about that king one for sure i also realized that we can't show jakes very very good looking beard because the camera that's really pointed on jake is pointed on me i'm thinking why aren't we showing there's jake all right what if i told you jake what if i told you Notre Dame only wins if you come out tomorrow i i don't know why you think i'm not gonna show like i like i don't know what this is what do you mean minus one ten each way that i don't come out bad line i think so what should the yes be he's making bad lines on all of us going out he made it in no no one here's your yours makes way more sense though joe joe you adamantly and very publicly say that you don't leave your house ever yeah i'm joking and you always say how much you hate people do like this i hate people that i don't like i hate the lion's fans at cms dealing with like those those people yeah that's true i've got joe just people that i don't mind just what how about this just tell the wife and kids you and i are going to the winner classic come pick me up we'll go to the game never does go long there's no chance she would go to the north side zero less of a chance what yeah we're going to the game it's a family affair it's a ramley affair we're going to go sit outside in 15 degree weather and watch hockey lowest lowest two hundred dollars after fees by the way seriously so that's all that's actually not 15 38 outside apparently i'd rather go like barely hox again there's the ox to be a better game let's go Notre Dame please please uh we'll be back on thursday nine a.m. eastern we'll be reviewing everything that goes down in the college football playoff over the next two days enjoy all the football talk to you later in the week right here on the Bekkule network
