College football playoff starts today, three games, tomorrow we're looking forward to it, and kind enough to join us on New York's Eve, our guy Brad Powers, at Brad Powers 7 over on X, has stuff on covers, bet the board pod as well. Brad, I really appreciate you jumping on the holiday. It's a very busy time. Got other bowl games going on today as well. But the last time we spoke, you were getting ready for your trek to South Bend, and then Columbus the following day, and you've gone to a number of games in South Bend in the past, as have I. I was also in attendance. I talked about my experience. Man, it's hard to explain to people that haven't been there before, but the change that Notre Dame has made, not only with the roster and the coach and everything, the atmosphere there. I know it was because you get the home field, and that was really cool for all of the games. I've never seen Notre Dame that loud. Nobody set the entire game. It's been incredible what they've done with the noise and just catering to the younger audience. I mean, when you started going to Notre Dame games with your younger same here, that place was dead silent. And now it's like a normal home field advantage. Couldn't agree more. I've been in that stadium at least 50 times, I think it's closer to 75 games I've seen there. It was the best atmosphere that I've ever been a part of. Oh, yeah. I went with Todd Furman and my buddy, Payne Insider, from the Bette board pod. And this was at the end of the first quarter, like, "Hey, does Notre Dame fans stand the whole game?" I'm like, "Not a chance." They stood the whole game. First time ever. The whole game. Yeah. The whole game. Nobody sat down the whole game. I mean, the first time I've ever experienced that. And it was, you know, obviously it made a difference. I thought the moment was probably too big for Indiana. Notre Dame settled in after the interception and the long touchdown run by Jeremiah Love, but it was, you know, it was cold for me being in Vegas the last decade. But my goodness, just walking around campus with a little bit of snow on the ground. I don't know. I brought back memories to the heyday when I first started going during the luholts years. You make bets and positions based on your numbers, and you've done it for a long time. You've done a very good job of it. What is your number with Carson Beck and what is your number without Carson Beck in this game? Yeah. It's a good question. And I'm going to tell you that I don't know if I have a great handle on it for a variety of reasons. Number one, we haven't seen Stockton too much. I know they ended up winning the game against Texas, but, you know, he started out okay early. And then I think it's like last 13 pass attempts, 15 net yards, if you count sacks, that's not good against the Notre Dame secondary that ranks number one in success rate, EPA per drop back. Carson Beck, I would have said at the start of the season, I thought I had a handle on it. I would have said, oh, Carson Beck's worth about five, six points to the point spread. And then Carson Beck went out there and had 20 turnover worthy plays this year and didn't play that well. So right now, conservatively, I'll say he's worth three. So, you know, I pure number right now has Notre Dame by half a point, just I'm just talking power rating. Am I diving into the matchup? Notre Dame by half with Carson Beck, it would be Georgia by two and a half. What are you betting for this game? I'm betting Georgia though, because matchup-wise, I think Gunnar Stockton for what he does best might actually fit Georgia best this year. They don't have elite perimeter players on the outside. Like they've had the last couple of years with Bowers and Makonke. We probably undervalued, and we knew they were good players, especially Bowers, but go look and see what they're doing. They're rookie seasons in the NFL, and you're like, my goodness, we probably, Georgia had some elite skilled players. They don't have that this year. In fact, their wide receivers lead the nation in drop percentage. But this has been a banged up Georgia offensive line. They're now healthy. ETN, their best running back has been banged up. He's missed four games, now healthy, off his best game of the season against Texas. So I think they're going to line it up. They got 40 pounds per man on average with their old line against an undersized Notre Dame defensive front. They're running between the tackles and Mano Imano, I like Georgia here. You guys like Notre Dame? Yeah, I mean, I'm going to be on, you know, I'm going to be perfectly, I'm sticking to my guns because that's what I bet when Georgia was a dog on the look ads. But I'll be perfectly frank. I did a deep dive podcast yesterday. The more I dive into it, the more. It's me being the fan, the chicken little hadn't won a big postseason game in 30 years. I was, I was warming the Notre Dame. I think Notre Dame is probably the right side, but Kirby, I'll tell you this, Kirby is one seven straight postseason games by 25 points per game with extra time. Nobody's been better than Kirby last five years. Oh, we're terrified. Well, I am terrified and I've got Notre Dame, you know, futures and for me, it's this simple win this game and then with what I'm holding, I can get creative, right? Get them into the semis and then I can start betting off that and, you know, taking pokes on other teams. But this was, this was what Joe and I wanted all along. When the bracket came out, we went to the bottom, said, let's find a team that has a chance to make a run because we wanted to avoid it. And you were on the show when we, when we got the bracket, you know, all these, these high power rated teams, the Ohio States, the Oregon's, the Texas, the Tennessee, they're all on the north side of the bracket. So we, we bet Notre Dame, you know, tend to one, give or take and this is the last stop. So we're biased. I mean, like, but I'm also, I'm nervous. I do, I do think though, it's funny how the brain works because I like this show has done a great job of posting clips and every clip on Notre Dame Georgia is just littered with Georgia big Georgia rolls Georgia by 40 Georgia by 50 and that, that makes me feel better to an extent, but I'm still, I'm still nervous of an SCC juggernaut taking us out to lunch, you know, just like, just destroying us tomorrow. But that's why they play the games, buddy. Yeah. Can I ask, why not Penn State as far as a team to make a run and they get Boise? I know, I don't like Penn State that much as a team, but then they're going to, I mean, Notre Dame, Georgia, whatever, whatever way you see it, it's going to be a war. I mean, it is going to be in between the trenches and Penn State gets, you know, a team probably less than 100% physical, physically after that game. Why didn't you guys that, you know, jump on the Penn State in any lines? I think you're going to say two words. James Franklin. Yeah. Yeah, because we view the winner of this game taking out Penn State. All right. Fair enough. Even though Penn State this year has been like all the guys I talked to have been extremely high on their power rating, Penn State, like really, what are they in your system? Like five or six? Yeah, they are. They are. But when you take, I mean, you don't play a lot, you know, tough schedule. You do what you're supposed to do against every, every inferior opponent. That's what James Franklin does best. I think he's 33 and one last 34 games is a fair, not against the spread, just winning. And then it's not like they got blown out against the Buckeyes or Oregon. So I mean, you could only upgrade their power rating a little bit from the start of the season, even even if you're not that impressed with them, I know we're going back a little bit, but it plays into the handicap of tonight. What SMU game score got out of hand early. A couple of pick six is also a second in goal interception for a third one for SMU. How did you view that that went for Penn State and kind of go into this number of 11 total 53 and a hook against Boise? Yeah. Misleading final. I mean, we say that all the time, but it clearly was and you want to talk about a game changing play. I thought it was obviously you had two picks six is you had an interception at the goal line in the second half, but I thought that all important play was Jennings, either not failing to run for a clear first out on fourth out on that first drive when they're inside the 20 and then missing a wide open. He had two options and somehow they didn't convert either one or he could have thrown to the tight end for a touchdown if he hits him. So if it's seven nothing, did they settle in the game? Because they had no problems moving the football, they missed a field go on top of it wasn't impressed with Penn State's offense for at least a majority of that game. So what do I do with this one? I want to play against Penn State, but the problem is I think Boise State's overrated. I was not impressed with Boise State down the stretch. You look at the Wyoming game they could have lost the Utah State game they could have lost. The San Jose State game was one of the most misleading finals of the season. I mean, they could have lost that game and somehow they covered a two touchdown spread. I know they're going to have tricks up their sleeve, they're rested, but I just from a physicality standpoint, I don't see them holding up and I know everybody goes back to the Oregon game. They kind of beat in Oregon. Oregon was struggling with the offense a line back in week two that I mean, if Oregon would play Boise now that they hammer them attention sports enthusiasts keep the adrenaline pumping and elevator game day with Chumba Casino. Which dog would you rather get a piece of Arizona State or Boise State spread? Boise for me because I actually think Arizona State's in worse shape number one, it starts with Jordan Tyson, their wide receiver being out. Didn't impact them in the big 12 championship game, but I think it will impact them here. Texas will play man coverage unlike Iowa State will load an extra guy or two in the box to stop Skataboo. I like a couple of the weapons for Boise State more than I do ASU. I'm not a big fan of Madsen, but I like camper at wide receiver. I like they're tied in so I think if you're talking upsets or even just covering against this, Brad Boise's got a better shot as far as I'm concerned. With Brad Powers here on BitQL Daily Joe, Sammy P. And it might be a repeat of the first round. That's what you're saying. Favorites, favorite, favorite. What about Ohio State, Oregon, been two and a half, most of the week rematch factor? What do you think? I'm not on the favorite here, but I'm not on the doggy there. I'm boy, I sound like the squares can be. I like the over. I'm not going to overthink it. Track meet in the first game. I thought there was points left on the board in that game. Obviously, Howard ran out of time on the last play. They could have had a field goal there. Oregon, despite having 496 yards, got stopped on down to the two yard line, missed a field goal, missed an extra point so they probably could have put 40 if they wanted to. I think Ohio State stays super aggressive like the Oregon's Tennessee. I do not want to see the Michigan game plan ever again running into the interior of the Oregon defensive front and I'm anxious to see how Ohio State plays defensively. They played a lot of cover one, put their corners on an island in the first game, got destroyed. Do they play a little bit more cover too? I think it could open up the run game a little bit for Oregon. I like James. I like Gabrielle, at least moving around. There was place to be had. I mean, I was right there in person. Nico was so tentative, no separation for the Tennessee wide receivers and there were still some gaps there in that Ohio State defense that just, you know, Tennessee come black anybody. So I can tell you this, if Oregon blocks Sawyer and JTT like they did in the first game, they're going to put 30 plus points on the board here. Yeah, I get USC Texas vibes from this game, like the liner bench young game just back forth. And if Chip realizes that he has NFL receivers again, like he did against Tennessee, forget it. 55 is a big number until it's not until it's 2827 going into the fourth quarter. And you're like, wow, like that's really not a big number. You know, a lot of these Miami totals this year, you're like, oh, that's a big number. And then you watch Miami play both both sides of the ball and you go, Oh, that total should have been 80. Yeah. And next savings that I think like five years ago, great offense beats great defense in today's day and age in college football. Yeah, you have two really good quarterbacks. I mean, despite what we will say about Will Howard, he's, he's been pretty good this season. All right. He basically hit all the, the four playoff games, we've got a couple of minutes left. You got a slate today, Alabama, Michigan, Louisville, Washington, South Carolina, Illinois, Baylor, LSU, anything excites you there. My biggest bet is on Alabama again, big surprise, heavy chalk for old BP, Mr. chalk, but I mean, if you're stack ranking the best, I mean, Michigan was an average football team until the last couple of weeks of the season, they were five and five beat Cameron Northwestern. Obviously, the big upset over Ohio State. But if you're staggering in their top players, top seven or eight guys aren't playing. So I mean, if you remove them from their power rating, I mean, this is a below average team. Probably you plug their power in in their schedule and then they'd be like a five win team. That's what I put their season win total at. So I think Alabama, as long as there's someone motivated hammers, Michigan today, anything under 17 is worth a, a pizza bet. What about props? You mentioned that you've got some props, maybe even if it's going back to the college football playoff. Yeah, again, I like Georgia's rush attacks. So what I took advantage of was Trevor Etn over rush yards. And then that's gotten a little bit away. And I think the one that's going to move here in the next hour, hint, hint there, gunner stock and rush yards. I've seen as low as 13 and a half, but that's starting to leak out there 15 and a half up to 17 and a half. Anything under 20 is good for an over there. Would you play Leonard over 34 and a half boy? I ignore him. Yeah, I would. They're going to run him a ton. So I would lean that. I mean, the only problem is obviously there's sacks and I think I think Georgia's going to come after Notre Dame. Man, did you have a thought on Illinois, South Carolina? We've got a couple of line I fans on the show, including Sam. I think Illinois is the right side, but I didn't get to the window, but I thought that buy on 10. What was it yesterday? It was probably the right play there. Yeah. Yeah. I have so many games today and I just don't. I like the bad. It's underwhelming. Let's get to tomorrow afternoon. Those two games tomorrow night, evening and night are great as good as it gets. Buddy, I will drink a bottle of Jameson if Notre Dame wins. Don't you worry. I'll be fired up and ready to go. It would be their biggest win in 30 years. You'll take that loss, right? You sound like such a Notre Dame fan, though, like that's my problem with your handicap. Like you've been jaded by that team. That's an emotional hatch. Go Bulldogs. Brad powers that bread power seven. Thanks, Brad. Enjoy all the games next couple of days. Talk soon. Yeah, guy. Good stuff there from Brad Powers. I thought he was going to have Notre Dame. I was surprised that he had Georgia. Dang. All right. I like it. I think you're right, though. He's been hurt. He's been hurt emotionally by Notre Dame. This is different. At least that's the mindset that I'm going in with. It's going to be a lot of fun next couple of days. Not watching the winter classic, watching all of this college football. Joe Ostrowski, Sam Pantheonovich, Ben QL, Daily. We've got lightning bets in about 25 minutes, a little more on the other college football games next on the back to all network.
