[music] Hello and welcome to the Hammer! It is April 27th and I'm extremely excited because this Saturday, in Toronto, UFC 129, Joy St. Pierre versus Jake Shields, and the Hammer will be there. The first ever UFC show in Ontario. This is big. Yeah, this is pretty huge, about what? 55,000 people are going to be there? Larger show in UFC history. I'm your host Dave. Joining us always by our my co-hosts. Greg, how's it going guys? And Steve, hey. So, we're going to talk a little bit about the most important thing coming up, and that's John Jones' hand. We'll get to that later. We're going to start with Joy St. Pierre, are we? Okay, well, we'll start with Joy St. Pierre. So, this Saturday, Joy St. Pierre will defend his title against a hugely packed arena versus Jake Shields. Well, he's not going to be against the arena. Actually, they will all be firmly in his corner, for sure. I would expect that if you're in Toronto, you might want to bet with Shields because he's got four to one odds, but if you do bet for Shields, for God's sake, don't share from him, because the arena will kill you. Now, Jake Shields, he has a better chance than four to one, but I don't think it's... Yeah, I would put it in. I think it's chances are. I would put it at two to one rather than four to one. I mean, that's ridiculous. I mean, the guy hasn't lost him with 15 fights. 15 fights since 2006, I believe. He's definitely got a sound strategy. I mean, GSP's good at everything, so this is going to be... I mean, I think GSP's going to out-strike and then just not even bother wrestling with him. Why bother? Just keep it on the feet, out-box and keep it in a distance like he did with cost-check and just... That'll work. And that's going to give me the difference between these two men. Jake Shields has a supreme mastery of wrestling. And submissions, and you just... Honestly, no. You know what? I even dispute that. I don't think that Shields does have a mastery of submissions, because he didn't manage to tap out Henderson. He didn't manage to tap Miller. No, but he's tapped out a lot of guys. We were both bigger than him. Well, you know what? GSP's a hard guy to tap out. Oh, for sure, definitely. But you do have a good point about Miller. Is he had Miller down for, what, like, 15 minutes and couldn't... He almost lost to Miller. Yeah, he had Henderson down for 15 minutes. For 20 minutes. It was a championship fight. Yeah. You know, so, like, realistically, I honestly don't see Shields being able to pull the submission off on George St. Pierre. I do seem to be able to take downs against George St. Pierre, probably props even better than cost-check. So, the trick is he can keep GSP down. Can you keep GSP down and how much damage are you going to take to get those takedowns? And that's the ultimate truth, is that George St. Pierre, he's very, very quick, but he's also got quick hands, precise kicks, great jobs, and he's actually pretty powerful. Although, he doesn't have to show him lately. He can start enough to hurt you, really bad. And I don't know if Shields has got the same kind of iron chin that Costcheck does. Well, GSP, as you're saying, GSP has no holes in his game, and Shields for being one of the pound-for-bound best fighters in the world still has things that he isn't great at. He's not great at and stand up. And, really, I mean, that's all you need for GSP to take advantage of it. Mm-hmm. I mean, that's the thing with MMA. You talk to the guy's weaknesses, Shields has got a weakness to stand up. George St. Pierre... Yeah, he's not the guy that gets knocked out or beat, like, beat up on his feet too much. He just isn't a great offensive fighter. Yeah. He's actually a very smart fighter on his feet and everywhere. I can see Shields getting, as you said, I can see Shields getting some takedowns, and then maybe even running around. But that's all you think? GSP is going to win the other four. Well, a big thing about this, though, is this really the rocky story? The question isn't so much, is George St. Pierre going to win? Is he going to finish? Yeah. Because Shields is a very, very tough guy to finish. Granted, he got rocked by Henderson, but, you know, J. St. Pierre's not nearly as heavy handed as Dan Hendon. And then the other question is, St. Pierre has not lost a round. In 30 rounds? In 30 rounds. Mm-hmm. So, Jake Shields, can he actually pick up a round? So, it's not that rocky is rocky going to beat Apollo Creed. It's that Ken Rocky actually make a good fight of it. So, what are you going to think about that question? I think Shields is going to have to make GSP work for this way. Yeah, it will not be easy for a second. It's going to be a decision. Unfortunately, I would like to see GSP finish. Do you think it's going to be an exciting decision? Or do you think it's going to be GSP playing with him on his feet for five rounds? I think it's going to be very similar to the Kostric fight. I really do. If it's all on the feet. I think GSP has the ability to keep it on the feet. And as I said, Shields might have a round where he, you know, gets a takedown or two. But, you know, even if that happens, GSP's just going to adapt. Because what camp he's in. So, you know, Jackson will just be like, "Alright, here's what you do." And he's like, "Okay." Do you think that Shields is going to have the mental toughness and the physical toughness to take the kind of abuse that Kostric took? Because if you look at Kostric, by the end of that fight, you know, he's out for a year with a shattered orbital bone. You know, he took a serious, serious beating in that fight. Do you think Shields is going to be tough enough to take that? He's a tough dude, but we haven't seen the top Shields in his last couple fights. I mean, Shields is an excellent fighter, but his last maybe three fights haven't really been all of that impressive. He didn't look great against Kentman. He was great against Kentman. I still say Kentman won that fight. So do I. Henderson almost clubbed him to death in the first round. Although he did make a very good comeback for the rest of that fight. And, yeah, in the Miller fight, he didn't look fantastic against other. And these are guys with the exception of Henderson, who was much, much bigger and cute, like a great, great fighter. These are guys that Shields should be able to beat, and he had difficulty with them. That's why he's not going to win. That's why he's not going to win. That's it. And hey, it'll make a lot of people happy that night. Yeah, for sure. No, it's depending on how Zimpier wins. Now, with that being said, let's move on to the second championship out. Two title fights, same card. I love it. The featherweight championship. Josie Aldo is going to be defending his belt for the first time in the UFC against Canadian Mark Dominic. I want to see this fight more than I want to see the GSP fight. Well, this is going to be a better fight. Yeah. Well, actually, if it doesn't end quickly, because as much as I like Mark Dominic, he's great on his feet. But, I mean, dude's been tapped a lot. Guy doesn't have the greatest record. Yeah, well, that's the thing. I mean, Josie Aldo, that's what Hamanix got to worry about. The longer it goes, I think the more it favors Hamanix. Can you believe there's a guy who is looking forward to standing with Jose Aldo? Like, that's his gameplay. His gameplay is what his best weapon hits what he's best at. I think that striking-wise, Hamanix can hang with Josie Aldo. I think it's going to be slightly outgunned, even in striking. But, Hamanix is a phenomenal striker, and his striking is a much different style than Aldo's. Aldo's got a very multi-style. He likes to get really, really close and fight from the inside. All of Hamanix is much more of a sniper. He's got long jobs, long straits, long, low kicks and teeps. He can keep you back, and he can frustrate you by just laying in shots while he dodges around you. The worrisome thing about that, though, is the fact that we remember what Josie Aldo did to your eye-favors legs. He destroyed his legs. So, you don't need to be in close to get that. Well, with that being said, though, Hamanix, he's got enough striking defense. I guarantee he's been kicked in the legs a couple times. I mean, he knows how to strike. He's been Charlie Murphy a few times. So, you know, on their feet, it's really, really interesting. Hamanix, though, he's got the serious deficiency of a grappling fight. And the thing I found is that when two great strikers fight, it tends to be an ultimate grappling match. Because one of them says, "I'm going to be better served by taking this guy to the ground." Yeah. All those got okay grappling and really good Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. I think he might be better served by going for the top. You never see his Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu because he just dominated it. But this is a fight where he is going to need it. Do you guys think, like, Hamanix has a chance in this fight? You've got a chance, for sure. Well, the thing with the thing with, he might have, although he might have the solder opposites advantage here, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu guys are great when they get a guy down. But how do you get him there? Hamanix, you know he's going to be training his take down defense and his single leg and his double leg take down defense. Like, crazy. Well, we just saw how Sato did against Dennis Yever. So, yeah. I think Hamanix has got a realistic chance of keeping his fight on his feet for at least the first round, maybe even the first two rounds. There's five rounds, though. There's a lot of time for Aldo to just get him to wear him down, finish him off. I just, I can't see, I love Hamanix. Hamanix has been in some of the best fights I've ever seen in my life, I think. He has no chance against Jose Aldo unless he can do a decision on his feet, which is not going to happen for 25 minutes. Can you finish him with an old letter? Have we seen what Jose Aldo's chin is like? Yeah. It's rarely tested. We haven't really seen that, right? Yeah. I think there's going to be the first guy to really start putting the hands to Jose Aldo, and we're going to see how Jose Aldo can take a punch. Well, aside from that, you're also forgetting Aldo's coming off of a surgery, and Hamanix is going to have a very, very, very powerful home-filled advantage. The crowd is going to be behind Hamanix to an insane degree. Yeah, plus Jose Aldo for being a champion. This is a guy who, unless you're watching WEC, people don't know Jose Aldo. Exactly. He's got the extra advantage for the fans on this side. So, I mean, I actually, I think that as much as I respect the game of Jose Aldo, and I do think he's, Josie's one of the best powerful power fighters in the world, Hamanix got a lot of upsides here. Yeah. You know, he's, he's, he's taken on a guy who, he, he's, Aldo's never faced a striker of this level before. As far as I can tell, and Hamanix is going to have a huge home-filled advantage against the guys coming off of an injury. Yeah. So, that being said, I'm going to be the crazy one here. I'm going to call Hamanix. All right. I think he can upset Aldo, given the fact that if he, if he, if he doesn't end fast, in which case, you know, Aldo may well win, I think he can wear Aldo down because Aldo's going to have the injury disadvantage, and I don't think he's going to be coming back in the best shape. Um, I can't call you. I can't call against the Canadian, really. And, uh, I want to see. No, I'm not going to stand. I'm, I'm going to call Hamanix. I'm not saying it was a great moment to see Hamanix win, but it's Jose Aldo. Uh, I got to call with my heart. All right. I'm calling Hamanix for sure. So, uh, we're, we're calling with our hearts, and Steve's the heartless brad, and she's like, nah, Aldo. Uh, get out of the country. By the way, don't say that when we're there because I'll be sitting next to you. Oh, yes. It's Jose Aldo. He's getting the big claps the whole night. I'm sorry, Mark Hamanix. Yeah. Uh, then we go forward to the light. I can't even, I can't even pretend that you're recording. [laughter] Then we go forward to the light, heavyweights. Vladimir Matti-Shanko takes on Jason Brilles. Thank you, Mark. On the main card. Uh, I like Brilles. I like one Brilles fight. Yeah. I don't mind Matti-Shanko, but these guys, oh God, can they put together a boring fight. This is going to be such a heat sink in the middle of this story. Yeah. What was it? They'll need something to kind of like throw the crowd to go get drinks and stuff. Yeah. After Coacher and before Jose Aldo. Yeah. How is this fight going on after Coacher and Machita? I think it's an after break. Yeah. Ridiculous. Uh, it could be good Brilles. I'm excited to see Brilles fight again. His last fight, I believe, is the, his upset. Oh, yeah. He's almost upset. He's almost upset against O'Gara, but he won't technically lost. And Matti-Shanko's last fight was his crushing defeat at the hands of John Jones. Oh, right. He had that one fight on the prelim card after that. Yeah, he did win. So the last time the fans have seen him was again beaten down by Jones. Uh, so. Which everyone else has been beaten down by Jones anyway. Shame on that. So. I gotta, I gotta go with Brilles on this. Brilles, he beat up Dogara pretty well. Yeah. And Machita-Shanko is just too, he's just too far away. Just too far along in his career. He doesn't, he can't win this fight, I don't think. Yeah, I agree. In the end, Brilles is gonna take this. Uh, I think I'm gonna go, I'm gonna go along with you guys here. I don't think Mikei-Shanko's a game is nearly near what he needs to be to be competitive on the main card at this level. I don't think he can hang with Brilles. Uh-huh. So then we go forward to Randy Coacher versus Leo del Machita. And I was a lot going into this fight. I'm most excited for this fight out of any fight on this game. Uh-huh. Machita is coming off of two straight back-to-back losses. If you lose this three times in a row, you guys are asking yourself, is he cut out to fight at this level? You know, now that, now that the book is out on them. Yeah. Meanwhile, Randy Coacher, the perennial veteran who's taken on so many of the greatest fighters in history. He's been too old to be competitive for a lot of times. He's been too old to be competitive for the last ten years. He's saying that this is really his last fight ever. No joke and he's got other things planned after this, that he's doing instead. So, could be the last time we see Coacher? Uh-huh. If Machita loses, could be the last time we see Machita. Uh-huh. No. I know. That's not going to cut Machita if he loses. I don't think Machita will come back. Yeah. He might actually just vanish. That's true. He might just vanish, like Ryu and go go follow the globe and fight him. I am a power. I am hating from a man. I think it would be a shame if Machita at this point is career loss to Coacher, but I need to see Coacher win. I love Randy Coacher. Coacher is one of the reasons I got into MMA and love MMA. He's one of the reasons a lot of people like MMA got into MMA. I want to see him retire on a high note and I like him more than Machita. Yeah. I mean, if you did a poll of MMA fans, I mean, and said, "Who's your favorite fighter?" Uh-huh. Coacher would probably be number one or number two. Uh-huh. Not anymore. Uh-huh. George St. Pierre's gonna... You're opening this link to Randy Coacher. Yeah. No one dislikes Randy Coacher. I think he's old and done, but like with that being said, you know, I think that if you're going to ask some people fans now, who's your favorite fighter? You're gonna see GSP, some Lesnar, some Kane for his... Four people are gonna say Coacher than Lesnar. Coacher, he's a grandfather. You want to see Lesnar. Right. But, I mean, like, I don't think people are passionate about Randy Coacher because... Wait, wait. I'm calling it right now. Wait till we're in that arena with 55,000 people and you watch the reaction. Coacher will get the second loudest cheer. The second biggest reaction of the entire night, Barna. Now, with that being said... With nine Canadians on the car. Yeah. With that being said, four Coacher versus Liodo. Liodo has promised he's gonna be much more aggressive in this fight and he's gonna pull the trigger as he should have gone on his rampage. He's gonna need two. He's gonna need two. He does need two. But, Coacher stuck around for this fight specifically. Yeah. Coacher is a master of game planning. His clinch game is phenomenal. His wrestling game is phenomenal. He's a great... Well, heavy rate UFC wrestler. Now, we can play heavy way. Randy's just put out the blue print on how Randy Coacher is gonna beat the O2. Exactly. And Coacher is very, very good at fighting in that style. Yeah. He can get you a clincher, hold you up against the cage and dirty box you for three rounds. No problem. Five rounds. This will be three. Yeah. With that being said, as my craziest sounds, I got to call Coacher on this. I'm calling Coacher as well. This is last fight. He's gonna be taking this as serious as he's ever taken it. And I think Machita's gonna be too mentally cautious and too conservative in this fight. And it's gonna cost him again. I think Machita should be able to win this fight. And I don't know. Every time you bet against Coacher, he pulls it off. I'm calling Coacher as well. All of us, Coacher. He may not be able to win. I don't know. I figured someone would at least be saying, "Oh, Machita's so much younger and so much stronger." Yeah, he is. But... But... Well, we're all gonna send him one favor. We're all gonna call Coacher. Absolutely. I can not... Well, I don't even think it's a sentimental favorite. I honestly think that his game plan is perfectly suited to beat Leota Machita. And it's... I'm not calling this. This isn't a hard call. This is a head call for me. You know, I really honestly think that Couture is going to win this fight. I think he has a reasonable chance of winning this fight. And I hope he does. Yeah. He has as much chance as any one of the light heavyweight division with the exception of Rampage, Bones, and Shogun. He's definitely one of the guys who matches the best against Machita. Yeah, two of them are right behind him. So we'll see. And then we go forward to Mark Bocek versus Ben Henderson. I'm excited. This is great. This is lightweight. Now, Bocek, he's a Canadian guy. Phenomenal fighter. Great. Great. You love Ben Henderson. Oh, Beno's the name. Can you call? Can you call a Canadian over Ben Henderson? Oh, my God. This is your naturalism tester. Oh, man. Well, I'll throw the stage. I'll set it up there. All right. Bocek, is he realized a lot on a submission game? Ben Henderson? Beno? This guy can't be tapped out. He's been tapped once. I mean, he's... He's phenomenal submission defense. He's incredibly well-rounded. Great striker. Great submission on his own, remember? Yeah. This guy called Ben Henderson. He's a great, great fighter. I mean, this is his first real test in the UFC. I got to figure he rises to this challenge. I have nothing but respect for Bocek, but I'm going to break in. For the first time ever, I'm calling against a Canadian. I'm going to call Beno. Bocek's really good, and I think he can tap most people. I don't think he can tap this Ben Henderson. Ben Henderson is just too damn good. He's got to win. Okay. So three calls for Beno. Sorry, Bocek. But we do love you. We have to keep that one quiet in there. Yeah. Beno wins. Yay. People love Smooth, though. Yeah, they do. I don't think they can. So get a decent reaction. Beno's one of the most lovable guys in the company realistically. So we go forward to the prelims. Nate Diaz is going to be taking on Rory McDonald's. Very excited. I love the Diaz brothers, and we get to see him live. And I enjoy watching the Diaz brothers, they do. But as good as I think the Diaz is, Rory McDonald is the guy who almost beat Carlos Conde. If it wasn't for the few seconds, he would have upset Carlos Conde. It was for Greg Jackson's pep talk. That's right. This guy is a serious rookie. Serious prospect. Yeah. Definitely. Now with that being said, you got to figure that McDonald's biggest advantage is going to be standing up. Oh, Diaz has got a real good opinion. McDonald's got some some serious wrestling, and that's where Diaz's issue is. I think that the thing with Diaz is that he enjoys being on the bottom of the motion a little too much, and you don't want that with Rory McDonald's. Yeah, Rory McDonald wrestles with GSP. Yeah. Like this is the kryptonite for Nate Diaz. If they decide to stand, Diaz will eat him alive, I think. I agree. I think that Diaz has just been on the team. He just flustered people that way. Yeah, he does. And he's got a reach advantage on everybody. Yeah. So the question is, can this guy take Diaz down? Probably. And Diaz is hard to take down. He's got really, really good active defense from the ground. Ultimately, what's your call? Diaz. Rory, it's a good call. This is one of the toughest ones in the country to call. It's a tough fight, and I don't like the Diaz brothers. So it's really, really tough for me. But unfortunately, I got called Diaz as well. Rory McDonald's, he looked great against. Condit. You know, the last competition, but he proved that he couldn't hang there with Condit. Oh. For one round. Let's be honest. He could hang with Condit. Yeah. He hung with for two rounds. He has two rounds in 58 seconds, which I like. Diaz is a phenomenal fighter. I mean, you know, he is much like I don't like the guy or his brother. They can't, they can fight. They definitely can fight. And McDonald's. I mean, Condit and Diaz are both serious serious stops up for a young, young guy who is not particularly seasoned and is going to be competing on a huge, huge stage. So, I mean, it's a lot of pressure. Now, you go forward. Sean Pearson, hometown boy, is going to be taking on Jake Allenberger. Pearson is going to be loved by the fans because first of all, he's in the hometown. Second of all, his last fight was a fight of the night. Yeah. Very, very exciting. With Matt Riddle, was it? Matt Riddle, yes. Great fight. This is going to be a different story, though. I mean, I still think Pearson is going to put on a great fight, and he very well might win. And he's not going to wildly swing, and he's not going to look to put on a show the way Riddle is going to do. He's going to look to win the fight. So, I like Pearson. I thought you made a very big impression on his first fight, but Allenberger is a serious test. I have a hard time calling him, calling against him in this fight. So, Greg, your last name is Pearson. Sean's last name is Pearson. Sure. Of course I'm calling. Of course. I mean, it's obvious. Of course. It's obvious. Steve? Allenberger. I really wanted to see Pearson do well as well. I would love to see Pearson do well, but the thing about Riddle is he made that fight a clown show. He did. Allenberger is going to make it a wrestling contest. That's the thing. That's what Pearson's got to worry about, is he's got to be able to defend the wrestling. Can Pearson defend the wrestler and the ground fighter of Jake Allenberger? I honestly don't think he had, I think he's going to be Allenberger as well. Allenberger is a guy who was slotted against Fitch. He was supposed to fight Fitch before they changed the fight a few months ago. He is on that level. Yeah. And Pearson isn't yet, I don't think. But it would be a great fight, I think. Now, we go forward to some of the prelim fights, which we're going to be able to see. They're all on Facebook. Yep. So, we've got Ivan Mengevar versus Charlie Valencia, Jason McDonald versus Ryan Johnson. I'm going to mention one. GSP's first opponent. Yep. Jason McDonald versus Ryan Jensen, and we found out that Ivan Mengevar was the first opponent through that book, Fighter, which we'll be interviewing the author in May. John McDessie versus Kyle Watson, he of the Ultimate Fighter alumni, I believe. Yep. It was supposed to be Brookings, I think, and they switched it to Watson. Yep. And then two of our local boys, Claude Patrick is going to be taking on Daniel Roberts. Claude's a very, very impressive striker in the welterweight division. Yeah, he looks great in his last couple of fights. He really has. And Ives Obin is going to be taking on Pablo Garza, Jeb Wayne. He had a phenomenal fight with Hamanek. What are the best routed-and-a-half fights you're ever going to see? Yeah. Yeah. The right-and-heart with Jebines is a really, really good striker himself. He's one of the best kickboxers you're going to find. That's, I mean, those two guys are a really, really bright future for Canadian MMA. Rory, too. But, I mean, those two specifically have looked awesome. Can you guys name me two phantom weights, lower down the card than Valencia and Medjovar? [laughter] Depends. Benavides has not won in a while. No. But he's going to probably try to fly away. For the one bad way to fight, we got it. It's not impressive. But this is a pretty good card. Well, I mean, they don't have to be named guys to put on a great show. I mean, there's always- So it's a pre-line fight. Yeah, it's a pre-line fight. Come on. Come on. They're giving you two title fights. Oh, yeah. Now that you've said that, it's going to win five to the night. I hope it has. So let's go forward to the news, because we do have some news to talk about. A good friend of ours named John Bones-Jones has been fighting with an injury for a long time, not just the injury of Shogun Ruh. The injury of his hand, which is injured on Shogun Ruh. He's got a torn ligament. Yeah, he needs surgery. He's going to be out for a solid six months. Well, he doesn't need hands to fight. He just needs the elbows. He's all he needs. I think he's out by it. Apparently he said he injured it either before or during the Shogun fight. So that's even more impressive. Yeah. Maybe he entered it tackling that. Oh, the guy in the park? Yeah. Could be. So somehow I don't think so. So yeah, so it was supposed to be Rashad Evans versus Bones for the title in August. So now Phil Davis has been spotted in, which is a huge jumper Phil Davis, especially since Phil Davis was ready to take some time off and heal some injuries. He's back in. Yeah. He's the guy they always call on the lightweight division. And he's going to win, I think. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. The guy hasn't fought in a year and a half. Yeah. You know what? By that point, yeah. The only guy who's ever beaten Rashad is the little machita. Rashad is extremely good. Well, yeah. But like you have to figure is Phil Davis going to be able to out wrestle and out strike Rashad. That's tough. I don't think he'll do what strike him. I don't think he'll need to out strike him. I think he'll just need to out wrestle him, which Phil Davis is capable of doing. Yeah. A tough time with Logara. And Rashad's a lot better wrestle than Logara is. It's a serious test. It's a serious test. I mean, I definitely have to think that Rashad is a step up in competition over anyone that-- Oh, yeah. Totally. Don't get me wrong. I love Mr. Wonderful. I would be calling him as the third member of the Scary Rooka Trio Forever. I love Phil Davis. And I want to see the guy take on John Paul Jones. I just don't know if he's ready yet. Well, right now Rashad is a big step up from low note. Yeah. Oh, definitely. But I mean, he's going to have a ton of rust on him. And as I said, I think that Phil Davis can get in there. Despite his striking issues, I don't think he's going to need to go on that. I think he can do it with just wrestling. In the meantime, Bones has turned down a sponsorship for Bud Light, which would have been massive for a fighter to have that sponsorship. Is he going to drink a Coors Light? No. He actually said a beer sends a bad message to kids. He's-- He's such a gnar. He gets better and better. He gets better and better. Elephons. He's great. The more he's becoming like the Mr. Holson. Yeah. It's even better. I should be like, oh, the guy's so lame. No, it just gets better. As far as that. Bones has always been Mr. Holson. And that's why I've been a huge fan of his. Yeah. I'm going to start. Never care for Bones for various reasons. And this is none. It just gets a pause. Because Dave hates winners who have exciting fans. And send good messages. Yeah. Yeah. He winners with good messages. Yeah. Jason Mayhem Miller just signed with the UFC. Nice. Notice he has a thought and a strike for since that crazy CBS brawl. Yeah. The contract was over. Well, technically he didn't have a backstage fight with Nick Diaz. Yes. That night. Yeah. Or sometime after that. But yeah, I guess his contract was over. And now the UFC bought Strike Force. He just got to resign with them. Good for him. So his first fight is with Aaron Simpson this summer. That'll be good. Which is probably about the right level to put him in on. A tough enough guy that he could probably be. Yep. And what do you guys think of Ultimate Fighter last week? He stepped up from the weeks before. I mean stripper Ramsey. And I can't believe I'm calling the fighter that. Stripper Ramsey. He did a triple out. Yeah. Well, the guy's in the crowd. I was calling him stripper Ramsey. He's the first guy to really show a personality. And as much as he has painted his toenails. So I guess I mean like if he's a hooters girl that counts as a personality. That's what passes for personality. Yeah. But he also managed to finish his fight. He looks great. He looks great. He chose the guy out. So I mean that was definitely good to see him do well. What's about timing? Break out. And the character on the show. Yeah. Yeah. So he's a real character. To me the dominant story was his Brock. Brock at the end of the fight he threw his stool at his fighter. The stool he was sitting on. I suppose anything else. And then in the dressing room he laid into his team. And basically called them all cowards for his fighter tapping fast. So I mean certainly it looked like a fast hat to me. I mean when Greg and I watched I was like that was a little bit quick for him to just. Yeah it was a fast hat. But at the same time. That guy had given up already though. Yeah that's a discouraging words to hear from your coach. Well I mean I understand where he's coming from. He's frustrated. Yeah. And that guy was to give a very frustrating performance. Yeah he did. He's going to have a hard time keeping his team together though. I mean there he's got to get some. He's got to get a more a better relationship with these guys. Or else they're just not going to want to fight for him. So two quick fights that just came up. Brad Pickett's out of his fight with Miguel Torres. So now to meet Greg Johnson stepping in. Which has now become one of the most exciting fights they're probably going to have. Yeah. And Falqueo is coming back after his legal problems. He gets to fight in UFC Rio. And Tom Waller is the unfortunate opponent. That's going to be a great fight. That's going to be awesome. Tom Waller is a tough guy. He loves to put on a show. Yeah. And Falqueo. The guys nuts. Yeah he is. He's going to be crazy dude. Tom Waller is a showman. But I think he's actually going to be able to drive Falqueo to actual in-ring murder. I think it's probably capable of doing that. I'll never forget that flurry that he pulled out. I mean what was it against? Jared Harris. Jared Harris. Jared Harris yeah. And it's just that first like he was just you know whatever. A little bit of this. A little bit of that. All of a sudden he just comes out with this ridiculous flurry. That's pretty much it. So we got to UFC 129 coming up this Saturday. We will be there. We will be at the- I will not be at the weigh-ins but Steve will be and Greg should probably be there as well. We'll be at the weigh-ins. We'll be at the weigh-ins. We'll be this.
