[music] Hello, welcome to the Hammer. I'm your host, Dave. Join us always by my co-hosts. Great. How's it going, guys? And Steve. Hey. So, we're going a little bit early this Wednesday night just because we do have a McMaster Marauders basketball coming up, which is bumping us up a little bit ahead in the schedule. You're listening to us live at 93.3 CFA mu. You can also find us at thehammermma.com on iTunes and on YouTube. And on addictedmma.com. So, we're growing. We're everywhere. So, we've got a fun show for you, as we always try to do. We're going to talk a little bit about the upcoming UFC 127 card, which is going to be a headline by BJ Penn versus John Fitch. All the way from Australia. We also have some news and some great little comments that we're going to make and throw in here. So, let's start with BJ Penn versus John Fitch. Now, John Fitch is the perennial grinder in the welterweight division. He's been trying to get that title shot with GSP for years now, his second one. BJ Penn also wants another shot at GSP after losing the first time. He's coming back up into welterweight after his loss to Frank Baker. Or depending on if GSP beats Jake Shields, a shot at the vacant title. Shot of vacant titles, which is a possibility. Which is a possibility. If GSP vacates to go up and fight Anderson Silva, one of these guys could be the welterweight champ. So, there's a lot on the line for this fight. What's interesting is that with Carlos Conda being injured, he's supposed to fight on this card as well. This opens up one of these guys to have that title shot if it comes up. It's a real shame about Conda. I know. I love Conda, but I mean, he's in better shape if GSP moves up. I mean, his injury, it's a good timing for him because it gives him time to see what's going to shake out for GSP moves up or not. That is an important question. Now, let's go and focus on this fight though. BJ Penn versus John Fitch. Fitch is an amazing wrestler. He has amazing cardio and he's got a rock-card chin. This is not a guy that's easy to put out. And he goes to decision a lot. He goes to decision a lot, so we know he can do that. But it works for him because he has one of the best winning records in the history of the UFC. Oh yeah, he's got a huge winning streak. BJ Penn, he's a very mercurial, but he's got great stand-up. He can knock you out. He can submit you. He's good on the back. He's good on the ground. The thing with BJ Penn is always a question of his gas and his motivation. He tends to gas and he tends to come in unfocused and not capable to fight. And in this fight, a question will also be his size too. Yes. That's going to come into play as well. He's going to give up a lot of size, which is very, very big for the welterweight division. But that's going to point him out to small. That's a good point about BJ Penn. Just when he thought that his career might be on the downswing after those two losses of Frank Yeager, then he goes and knocks out Matt Hughes in 21 seconds. Yeah. I mean, you can never, ever count out BJ Penn at any weight class. Well, he has so many tools in his belt. When somebody has that many tools, they're always a contender. Do you guys think he's motivated enough? Oh yeah. You know, that was my concern about whether he's motivated or enough. Now, Fitch is motivated. Oh yeah, for sure. Fitch is completely motivated. He's as mentally strong as Kane Velasquez. The E.K.A. guys are very, very mentally strong. He's physically strong as well. He's extremely physically strong. This is an understatement part of part of his personality. But BJ Penn has started to get a lot more fired up and he's making a kind of cutting remarks about Fitch on the side. So he's starting to take it a little bit seriously. I think he's going to come and want to win this. Any question that I had about BJ Penn's motivation was answered in that Hughes fight. Although, how much does someone's heart and conditioning and drive and everything come into play in a fight that only lasted 20 seconds? What if the fight went longer than that? But you could see, could that not have just been a lucky shot? It's true, but you could see before the fight that BJ Penn was looking in great shape. I mean, he looked the part. I saw fights, previous fights with him, and he didn't look as in shape physically as he did in that fight. Not only that, but BJ Penn, when he walked in, he had a killer looking in his eyes. That was the kind of look of a guy who's going up to play it and he knows he's going to hit a home run. He didn't shake hands with his big boy. He didn't hug anyone in the way into the ring. Pushed him on the way, walked right into the ring, stormed out, club Matt Hughes half the death, and stomped out of the ring to go and yell at the crowd. I've never seen what I have, but it's rare for me to see BJ Penn that far enough. It's been a long time since he's looked like that. Now, John Fitch is trying to make himself more entertaining. Grinder that he is, and that's the style that's perfect against BJ Penn. Fitch is coming out trying to be like, "Well, I'm going to be more entertaining. I know that that's helped me back from getting my title job because I've got such a reputation as a boring fighter." That's going to cost him if he tries to do that. And in the press, he said to BJ Penn in the press, it's kind of like I need to kill BJ Penn and take his soul, then his wins become my wins, and I'll get my title shot. Doesn't John Fitch have enough wins? No, he's got enough wins. I mean, he's got his chance. If he wins this, he's got either a title shot or a shot. Well, title shot either way, whether it just be a round or not. They cannot keep this title shot away from him. They don't like spend notorious for pulling title shots away from John Fitch over the last couple years because he really isn't all that entertaining, but he deserves one as much as anybody. The biggest thing that's going to work against him is trying to be too entertaining because BJ Penn's going to take a huge advantage of that. BJ Penn's a counterpuncher. If you try to get crazy with BJ Penn, he will punish you. The other thing is the little antics of the pre-fight, I'm going to kill him and take his soul. BJ Penn was visibly angered by that, and he said, "Yeah, that's not going to happen." And he stormed out of press snarling, so he's coming in. And he's looking to tell this kid, "Hey, you're an upstart. I'm the pound-for-pound list ahead of you, and it's going to be for a reason." So I think BJ Penn's going to come in furious and look in a punish, Fitch. Now, with that being said, got to make some calls. Steve? I think I think Fitch can do it. I think he can take him down. He's bigger. No matter what, he's going to be bigger. He's got great wrestling. He can keep BJ Penn down. BJ may be able to submit him, but I don't see it happening. I see just like always three-round decision-win for John Fitch. Because someone's going to get Fitch'd. No, actually, I'm calling BJ Penn. He's got way too much drive and motivation right now. I think he can take it. I think he can do it. I think the story of BJ Penn is he's hot and cold. Fitch, with the exception of really that, that GSP beating is always hot. Like, he always comes to win, and his motivation is never, ever in question. Well, and I think that goes what it comes down to. BJ Penn, when he comes out like he did against Matt Hughes, when he comes out motivated, I think he could take anyone in the world. You know, I think on the right day, BJ Penn could take Anderson Silva or Brock Lesnar. But the question is, is that day going to be this Saturday when he fights John Fitch? Fitch is always on. He's always hot. He's going to be much bigger. He's got the chin. And I mean, he's not an easy guy to tap. He's got some really, really slick, slick ground green himself. And I got to figure Fitch is going to be able to appoint BJ Penn out. So that might call for this. I think that's a safe one in here. Now we go forward to Michael Bizping versus Jorge Rivera. Now Rivera has been making a lot of YouTube videos calling out Bizping. Yep. He is trying to sell this fight hard. Normally it's Bizping who, you know, he's the more entertaining at the two. Rivera is doing everything he can to make this into a grudge match. Now, Bizping is taken up on the grudge. Rivera made a comment about how koalas in Australia tend to have chlamydia. Which is unusual because they're fighting in Australia. Bizping's girlfriend is Australian and he's moved to Australia. Oh, man. So he took that as a personal insult. Yeah. They almost go into a brawl at the press. And Bizping is swearing that he's going to punish Rivera. Now Rivera is much older. He's close to 40. Yes, he is. He's good striker with a good wrestling game, but he's, you know, older and not nearly as multi-dimensional. He's very, very powerful. Very powerful. Bizping doesn't have a lot of knockout power. He's infamous for being pillow-handed, like Amir Sedala. But great defensively. Hard to hit. Hard to tap. Good technically. Very quickly. Very quick. Great cardio. You can go to this one all day long. Oh, yeah. Now here's my thing with Michael Bizping is he wins a lot. He's very quick. You know, he's a very, he's very good at a lot of things. It's always just that top tier of guys that you can't get over it. And I don't think Rivera is one of those guys. I think this is the sort of guy that Bizping gets his win over and then he'll get a shot at someone higher up the depth, the depth chart, you know, for months or now and he would lose that fight. I'm inclined to agree. I think that Bizping is going to, is going to take this. You have to be close. I think it's going to be close, but I think Bizping is going to take this. And I mean, I got to add, I'm always excited to see a Bizping fight because he really sells fights well. I, I like watching Bizping fight. He, and he's, yeah, he's an injured, his fights in general are entertaining to watch. And he sells the fights well. He's a great talker. So I mean, I'm liking Bizping for this fight. Well, Bizping is on a three-flight win streak. And if he wins this, he may well get his shot at Anderson Silva, assuming just Pete doesn't beat him in the line. Now, with that being said, Jorge Rivera is very, very powerful. He does have knock up power. And Bizping has always traditionally had a little bit sloppy striking defense. That's true. He relies on his great chin to soak up shots and then to out point people and rely on them gassing. That's a dangerous power plan to have against the guy with the knock up power of real whole Jorge Rivera. I know that Bizping has been caught, but Bizping can move on his feet. He's not. He's not that easy to hit. No, he's not. But I mean, get up. I think stylistically, this is a fight he can win. Absolutely. But I have to figure that if Jorge Rivera finds his chin, Jorge can win this fight too. And Rivera's looked good in his last couple fights. He's not looking bad at all, at all himself. So I would imagine that Rivera can, can surprise Bizping here and get the answer. Is that what you expect to happen? Yeah. I think I'm calling Rivera for this. Good. So we go forward. George Soderopoulos fighting his home run against Dennis Seaver, a German kickboxer far from home. This may be my main event. Yeah. This is going to be a great fight. Unless the only way it's not going to be a great fight is if Soderopoulos just completely dominate Seaver and submits him quick, which is not unrealistic. But the longer this fight goes, the more entertaining it's going to be. And however this fight finishes, we'll be in of the night. Yes. Regardless of like, regardless, this will get something, knock out if Seaver manages to catch Soder, which I doubt submission or fight. I think he can. I think he can. It's good. That's his strength is on his feet. It is his strength. But I just don't see Soder going down to Dennis Seaver. I just don't see it happening. And I like Seaver, but I don't think it's going to happen. Seaver's a great kickboxing, but he's only starting to develop into a great mixed martial artist. He does have the kickboxing game, and he has shown a submission in the last fight. But his wrestling, his counter wrestling and his grappling are not good. Soderopoulos. He's a good bird to Soderopoulos. Yeah. If well, Seaver's not good for the division. Soderopoulos is good for the sport. Yeah. You know, Soderopoulos in terms of grappling, he is phenomenal. Also, I mean, we're talking about how great Seaver's kickboxing is, which it is. However, remember, Ross Pearson out kickbox Dennis Seaver. That is true. So are we really, I mean, are we giving Seaver a little too much credit for his strike? Righting ability? Like, because he has a great spinning back kick. I mean, he's awesome. Don't get me wrong, but is he awesome enough to catch Soderopoulos? No. And I believe that Soderopoulos can get this as a ground, and he can keep it there. Oh, yeah. This is a fight for... This is Soderopoulos's fight. The thing about Soderopoulos isn't also keeping in mind. If Soderopoulos is rock jawed, he's got a good chain on him too. In his last fight, you know, his first round was very, very rough on him, but in the second round, Soderopoulos showed cool resolve, rallied back, got the fight to the ground, and tapped up as a opponent. Yeah, that was the low zone fight, right? That was an absolute exhibition. Love that. That was incredible. That was incredible in the first round. Yeah. It was killing Soderopoulos on his feet. Bob wouldn't go to say he was killing him, but he was... He was... He was... He was... He was... He was certainly holding his charge. And then Soderopoulos just took him apart in the second round. Yeah. That's the thing with Seaver is we haven't seen Seaver go into the deep waters. We know that he... We know that he's got a good kickboxing cable. We know that he's underdeveloped grappling. Soderopoulos is such an executioner when it comes into grappling. I have to figure that the second Soderom is to get the fight to the ground or get his hands on Seaver. He's going to go for the tapness again in a submission. I don't see... I don't think Seaver can handle a guy who's this multidimensionalist. This smacks of like a Frank Mier Czech Congo, where, you know, one guy's a great kickboxer, but the other guy can hold his own in all disciplines, and Czech Congo wound up getting knocked out in that fight. I know. So, really. I don't know how Soder was going to win, but he's definitely going to win. Yeah. We all agree that Soderom is going to win, and I'm glad, because he always guarantees to show you a fun, exciting ground game, which you don't always see. Can't wait until he gets a title shot. I really can't. So, we go forward. In the welterweights, Chris Lydell is making his return to take on Brian Ebersall. It should have been Carlos Conden. Yep. Yeah. Now, Ebersall is coming in as a last-minute replacement because Conden is out with an injury. With that being said, he is not in the league of Chris Lydell, and I would imagine that Lydell is going to win this one. Now, Ebersall, he's done training at AKA. He's your real journey. It's something like 50-something fights. Mm-hmm. 46 wins, 14 losses, one draw. I like 60 fights. Yeah. So, you know, he's never fought in the UFC, so this is his UFC debut. I mean, he's an AKA tough, good fighter, well-rounded. Well, he's going to lose to Chris Lydell. Chris Lydell is four-in-a-row wins, so I can't imagine that Lydell's... This is his fight to lose, and I don't think he's going to win my course Lydell. Yeah. Same here. Kyle Noke is going to take on Chris Kamozi. These are guys from the middleweight division. You somehow made it onto the main guard. These are tough, same season of tough, both of these guys. Yeah, graduates. Kyle Noke was supposed to do something, but he eventually just kind of fell out, defeated like 2-0 since the ultimate fighter. Yeah. Now, with that being said, Kamozi's got a lot of heart. Kyle Noke's got a lot of wrestling skill. When I got a pit wrestling skill against heart, I tend to take wrestling skill. Yeah, usually. I'm going to pick Kyle Noke to win this. And Noke's got the home home field as well. Noke is fighting in Australia, yes, so it's home field. So Noke's my pick there. Then we go forward to the prelims, which will be on ION TV, ESPN UK, and Roger Sportnet. Now Nick Ring is making his much anticipated return to take on Ricky Fukada. Can't cheer against the Canadian. You've got to go for Ring, yeah. We know that you love Ring, but Ring's a good fighter, and he's definitely going to do well on this fight, I think. And then Light Heavyweights, we've got James Tohuna taking on Alexander Gustafson. Now the Swede is making his return after a rough outing, but he's extremely good grappler, very, very tough. Tohuna's pretty good and well-rounded. What's your call for this? He's got some decent kick bucks. This will be a nice brawl, I think. Yeah. The perfect sort of prelim fight. Yeah, this is my contend with Sato and Seifer for Fight of the Night. No, I don't think so. No, I don't think so. Yeah, I don't think so. You don't think anything's going to contend with Sato? No, no, no. The thing is Tohuna is a great kickboxer, but Gustafson is a clinch grappler with good takedowns. I think this is again with Gustafson, who's very, very big for the Light Heavyweights division, lying on top of Tohuna for three rounds. Yeah, neither of these guys are top guys. It'll be there. Hopefully someone gets knocked out. Yeah, Gustafson's got a tough chin, like Phil Davis, who couldn't knock him out, I don't think Tohuna can. Mm-hmm. Yeah, I think Gustafson is going to lie on top of Tohuna for 15 minutes. Yeah, I don't think it's going to be quite that boring, but I am calling Gustafson to win. He's in there a third fight on the field. Absolutely. Ross Pearson is going to be taking on Spencer Fisher. How would that not make the main card? Because Ross Pearson lost his last fight. Yeah. Well, Ross Pearson better not lose this one. I really want to see this fight. Yeah, Sato, why? Ross Pearson was a serious prospect. He lost his last one. Cole Miller. Spencer Fisher, he was a former top, top, top guy in the division. He's fallen out of favor lately. He's always in great fights, though. He looks, you know, he'll win a couple, then he'll lose one, he'll win a couple, then he'll lose one. I mean, Spencer Fisher always brings it. Yeah. So, if Pearson can beat Fisher, this could reinvigorate his career and get him back into the hunt in the very, very stacked lightweight division. He eats this. He really needs it. Fisher loses this fight. I have to figure he's gone from the company. No, he won his last fight. Yeah. Well, Fisher you're talking about? Fisher, I think, I mean, Fisher's got a lot of history with UFC. I mean, he's one of those guys where I think Dana would be more reluctant to cut him after just one loss based on his track record and how long he's been with the company. He's a serious company guy. He always puts on exciting fights and they wouldn't cut him after one loss. But both of these guys really can use this win. Yeah. Well, they both certainly need it. And this is in the very, very stacked lightweight division. You know, two losses in a row is going to be bad for an up-and-comer like Pearson. Yeah. I'm worried. Because Pearson is my man. I'm worried. And then, you know, as I said, for Fisher, because he's so inconsistent, I don't, I mean, because he's older, I don't imagine that there isn't a lot much of a place for him. You know, when they're getting rid of guys like Brony, Dana's not in the mood to play favorites or... I think Fisher's in a different league than Brony, though. I still think Pearson can win this fight. I hope so. I hope he can. I think this will be a very, very good fight. I'm looking forward to it. Yeah. Well, my call for this one is Pearson as well. I love your call as Pearson. So, you have to redeem yourself, man. You have to redeem yourself. Now, there's also going to be a couple other prelim fights that they are going to show on Facebook. Anthony Promotius is going to take on Tom Blackledge and Zang T. Kwan is going to take on Jason Reiner. Those will be on the Facebook feed, so if you are a fan of UFC, how do you do this? Sorry. Oh, yeah. You go into Facebook, you go to the official UFC Facebook group, you hit like, and then you can watch the video. Hopefully all the bugs have been worked out. Yeah. Last time was a little... I'm glad they do it, but last time the tech issues were a little sketchy. But, I mean, it's a growing industry. They've got to figure out how to get it done, right? Now, what do we have in the news, Steve? All right. Shirdogs reporting that the April 9 Strike 4 show is going to have Gober Melendez versus Kawajiri and Nick Diaz title fight. That was supposed to be the next part of the Strike 4's heavyweight grand prix. So I think things are already falling apart. Well, they're having some serious issues with Josh Barnat and that because of his previous drug issues, no one was willing to license the guy. Yeah. Not that I'm ever against seeing a Melendez fight or a Diaz fight, but if they can't get these next two tournament fights off the ground in the very, very near future, this is a boss. The card is better now. Yeah. We've got Melendez and Diaz on there. The card has improved. Well, with that being said, Strike 4 says not, though. I know Barnat has got a long history and he was formerly a top 10 right guy and he was a former champion. There comes a point when you got to cut the guy. You know, I know he thinks he's corn in the God of War, but he's not. Well, the thing is that you can move him out and replace him with cornier. Well, you can move him out, but the thing is the Strike 4's heavyweight division is not that deep. So I mean, Josh Barnat, people do recognize Josh Barnat's name. You know what, it's deep enough to find someone to fight Brent Rodgers. They have three alternates they could use. Yeah, but you've promised him the tournament so and you knew of his drug issues before you signed the tournament. So you can't just say, oh, you have drug issues, so former drug issues, you can't fight anywhere except Japan. We're cutting you now. You can't do that. You had that information before. Injury? Yes. I agree, but not for the fact that you're going to have these problems that you knew were going to happen anyway. They should have decided this before they announced him, put him in the brackets, praised him out there with all the other guys. Yeah. They should have figured this out much. They should have figured it when we figured it out, when everybody else figured it out. The more guys that drop out of your tournament, the more bush league your tournament looks. So you want to keep the tournament intact. How's the fight? It's got to be Barnett because Brett Rodgers is eager to fight. Yeah. And over aiming for B.C. over doing seem like they want to hook it up and get it on too. We never know what's happening with over doing now. Fair enough. But over him seems like he wants this fight. Yeah. He wants for doing. He wants revenge. Well, hopefully Fedor doesn't get back in that tournament. Yeah, that would be that would be that would be terrible. Barnett drops out and gets replaced with Fedor. Yeah. Yeah. It's just a. I love seeing Fedor fight, but after the loss that he took and and all the all that's been going around and it's just the guy's lost already. You've got three alternates. It's just not fair. It's another thing that makes your tournament look like this because Fedor is a first alternate now. Well, that's ridiculous. Well, that's that's that's preposterous. We were saying on last week's show that Fedor, you know, is probably going to be coming back to fight and he's he he's coming out again this week. He's like, that's I've still got more fights. I'm going to do. So that whole retiring thing, we predicted it wasn't going to happen. It's not happening. Well, we predicted that with given enough time to work on him, M1 would manage to get another fight. Yeah. That was my prediction. I didn't predict. I wonder what they promised him a.k.a threatened him with. Yeah. My my anticipation was not the Fedor would be excited to come back. It was that M1 would get to him. I'm glad that he's sticking around and so that hopefully he can fight the loser of over him or do because those are both marketable matches that I want to see. Yeah. I just don't want him back in the tournament. I don't think he belongs there. You've got guys that are hungry. Hungry than Fedor? Yeah. You're saying he would rather see Chad Greg's? Yes, I would. As a matter of fact, I would love to see Chad Greg's in that tournament. He's awesome. Anyway, on semi related news, M1 Global and Showtime just announced a cheapy deal. So now there's going to be M1 Global cards on Showtime, which is the home of Strike Force. Who does M1 have other than Fedor? No, nobody. But you know that this, I don't know any details, but you know that this has to do with why it took so long to get Fedor back into Strike Force and into the tournament. Yeah. Does Showtime, Showtime's got boxing? They have Strike Force, which is really picking up. Do they need M1 Global? Well, here's the thing if you're M1 Global. You kind of want to go and get the source, do you know what I mean? If you ever want to protect your company, you've got to go pass and get the source. So they've moved past Strike Force to position the source. They're eliminating the middleman. Stronger. We show time. Smart on M1, you know, and if they say, "Oh, Fedor's going to pull out of Strike Force and come and fight on M1 cards," what's Showtime going to say on M1? If your plans are to devour companies like you've been devouring companies, then this is another way to do it. Does that mean we have to start covering M1 shows? No. It depends on if they're good or not. If Fedor fights sure, if not, well, they're in the waiting list behind Bellator. If we get an hour show, maybe. Did you guys know there was a Strike Force challenger's card last week? I did. I did actually know. I confess I did not watch it. Pat Healy beat Lyle Beerbaum and Ryan Coacher had his next fight. Oh, right on. And he won at 4.41 of round three against Lee Higgins. He submitted him. So that's two Strike Force subs for Ryan Coacher. That's good. That's good. He's already got a name. He's got a couple of wins. I mean, I don't think he should be on challengers anymore if he's got the name and two wins. Exactly. Well, he's also on the lightweight division, which is a little bit on the weak side. That doesn't strike force. Which has like four lightweights. Yeah, which is all the more reason to put him on a main card because he's going to have a title shot with another win. You think, but this Strike Force, what logic doesn't necessarily apply, anything is like, I don't know if there's anyone that they can realistically give him on the main card as a good intro fight. Well, I mean, you don't necessarily have to give him a title shot, but sell him, put him against somebody and, you know, he just finds somebody. Just bring someone in. Look what they did. Bring somebody. Exactly. They found a firefighter. They found a guy great. They brought him in and it didn't work out like how they thought. He could always find somebody to find somebody. Well, he's got the name, obviously he can go. He's got two subs in a row, finishes in a row, like in general. So put him on the main card. See what he can do. You have to fight a big name. He could be the big name. Promote your people in the lightweight division. Agreed. Dream's not there to hook you up anymore, or won't be in a little while. What I want to see is Ryan Couture with like watching Spirit Wolf. I watched that. Why not? Yeah, I poke him. And UFC 129 in Toronto set a record for a pay-per-view. It's Fight Night in Seattle on March 26th, set a huge record for Fight Night twice the gate and twice the attendance of any Fight Night before. Nice. It's coming up. And it's Tito Ortiz versus Little Mog. Yeah. Tito just got injured. Oh, man. So after selling this huge gate, I mean, you have to admit it, like all this money must have come from Tito. Like if it's, if this showed it back. Oh, yeah. The expectation was, yeah, the expectation was that this was going to be Tito's last fight. Exactly. It's going to be Tito's retirement. And obviously Tito's lost his last fight to be a win. So he's going to be injured pretty much until like, they put him with, you know, Jen's Polver at 205. I'll call Jen's Polver back at her retirement. No. He's not taking any fights. He's going to be injured for everyone until he gets the fight he wants. Honestly, I'm not questioning the legitimacy of his injury. I think that he actually is injured because, you know, he's been injured a lot recently. And I don't, and I'm inclined to believe him that he hasn't been 100% for a very long time. I don't think that his training is up to par at this point. So I think that this is a legitimate injury. I'm just worried what they're going to replace it with what they're going to replace this fight with. Oh, okay. Why don't you tell us? Let me come with that. Let me come with that. Quantically injured, not at 100% for a long time and not able to train at the level that he was. This is not, I'm a top level competitor. This is as time for me to retire. I agree with that. He's still a name that can bring a gate though, as we've seen. But it's still time for him to retire. And that's health. Why would he not want to go and make the money from that fight? He sold a huge gate out. Exactly. He would go, he would be paid very well for that fight. Yeah. I believe he's injured. But he's been replaced. They pulled Phil Davis from the Toronto card. Ooh. It's unfortunate for us. I really wanted to go see Phil Davis. So now it's Phil Davis versus Little Nog. I like that. Yeah. I think that's, that's a good person to give Phil Davis. I mean, Bader and Little Nog just went and Phil Davis is on that same trajectory. I mean, it makes a perfect sense. It's great. It's the Bowen's career path. Yeah, I would rather see Phil Davis and Little Nog than Tito and Little Nog to be honest. And it was supposed to be in Toronto. It was supposed to be Phil Davis versus, uh, versus Brill's. Oh, Brill's. That's right. Yeah, because Hamelsman. And now Brill's is going to be fighting Vlad de Biermatu Shanko. Oh. Okay. Yeah. Well, honestly, there's like, umpteen different great fights on that card already. I'm not too broken up. We'll be okay. Yeah. We'll be fine. There'll be a lot of good stuff to watch there. And that's pretty much all I got. Well, uh, so I think that's the vast majority of the news for the week. Everybody should check out our interview with Sean Shirk on last week's show on www.theHammerMMA.com and also on our YouTube channel. Yep. And thank you to the Muscle Shark. If you didn't catch our show last week, uh, you know, we had some time to sit down with the Muscle Shark and use a really, really nice guy. Yeah. He really fun to come to you. Really, really great.
