It's a double-preview show this week, as we discuss the upcoming UFC 122: Marquardt vs. Okami, and WEC 52: Faber vs. Mizugaki shows. There's not a ton of hype for these cards, but the main events will mean big things for the future of the UFC middleweight and bantamweight divisions.
Then the show turns into a sort of MMA version of TMZ, with tons of wacky backstage shenianigans and gossip about Donald Ceronne, The Diaz brothers, Mayhem Miller, Cain Velasquez, and more.

[music] Hello and welcome to the Hammer. I'm your host Dave. Join us always by my co-host. Greg how's it going guys? And unfortunately Steve cannot be here. He has had an unfortunate death in the family. Our condolences do go out to Steve and his family and thank you very much for you know the all the work that you do here Steve. Yep. One to no board. This is much more complicated without him because I really have no idea how to work with him. Yeah I can see what he works the board. He does. He's our producer. But we'll do our best to struggle on. You're listening to us at 93.3 CFMU. You can also find us on iTunes at thehammermma.com. We've got a good show for you today. We've got the review of the upcoming UFC event of Marcourt versus Okami. And we've also got the WEC coming up tomorrow. So I'm pretty excited to get into that because it's the second last WEC show you guys are going to see. Which is kind of unfortunate but because they're emerging we're going to see a lot of these WEC guys and UFC shows upcoming which I am very excited for. So if you're a UFC fan you might actually want to tune into this one because this is going to give you a good chance to see some of the guys that are coming up. The UFC has said that it's probably, you know, narrow the rosters down to about 32 guys per division. Now they're very, very heavy in lightweights. They're very light in phantom weights and by the weights. Yeah so a lot of the lightweights are going to have to move down and also there's going to be some guys in the top divisions that can't move down. They're just going to have to move on. Yeah pretty much. Move on to strike force or some other promotion. Greener pastures. Yeah so let's start with the UFC though. We're coming up with this Saturday, the live event that will be on free free on versus TV. Yeah from Germany. From Germany. Marcourt versus Okami. Now this is going to be an interesting matchup. Marcourt's obviously a very powerful striker with a very, very good ground game. Damien Maia can attest to that. Yushin Okami. Pretty tough, good chin, solid striker and his judo game is one of the best in the division. Yep I would argue the best. What do you think of this matchup? I think it's a good matchup. I think that Marcourt's good enough on the ground and I think he's strong enough to withstand Okami's judo. I also think that Marcourt has enough power to knock out Okami. I know Kami's got a great chin but Marcourt is just incredibly strong and he's just a pleasure to watch. I mean I love watching Marcourt fight. He can make some of the most boring guys like Chill Sonnen still do a good match. I always go back to the Sonnen Marcourt match as Sonnen did dominate the match but Marcourt scrambling from the bottom just made that match entertaining. So any match with Marcourt you're going to have a good time watching it. So I do pick Marcourt to win this one. I do too. I think for the same reasons as you said I think his wrestling game is good enough to match and the game Okami's judo game and I think that his striking is on a level that Okami can't necessarily handle. Now Okami's best chance here to me is getting it on the ground. Okami does have a submission game but with that being said Marcourt's got a previous submission defense too. I just don't see him being able to crack Marcourt. I don't think so. I think that if he does get Marcourt on the ground and manages to get on top it might be a little troublesome for Marcourt but I just don't think it's going to happen. I really think that Nate the Great is going to withstand Okami and I think he's going to TKO and we're knocking out. I think that this was not going to be a fast one. I don't see a swim being a first rounder but I could imagine this would go to TKO. Marcourt does have a good ground and ground and pound game. If Okami wins it to me the only way he's going to do it is by decision. Yeah oh yeah definitely. I definitely think this is going to be a second or third rounder. So we go forward to middle weight bouts between Jorge Rivera and Alessio Sakara. Sakara makes his return. He took some time off the UFC because of an unfortunate death in his family. His grandfather passed away but Sakara is coming back now to take on Rivera. What do you think of this match? This is going to be a good one. It's hard to pick this one for me. Rivera is a lot older I believe than Sakara is. Sakara is really really impressive. This is a tough one to call. I think I'm going to call Sakara. I think that he's on the rise and I think that he's just a little better conditioned and he's younger and yeah I think he's going to take it. I have a couple of issues with that. I do think that Alessio Sakara has a phenomenal striking game and his knockouts are incredible to watch. But with that being said I think that his training camp so far has been a little bit weak because he's taking so much time off and I think he's because he was expecting to fight someone else and Rivera's moved into the last fight. That's true. Rivera is a replacement. I don't think that Sakara deals well with training camps that are cut short like that. He's a very game plan oriented fighter. He's a lot of time to prep for a fight. I think Rivera is a veteran. We've seen a lot of veterans upset a lot of young kids lately. I think Rivera is going to continue with that tradition. He's got a good striking game himself and he's really good at a phenomenal ground game. He killed Quarry. I mean he really did knock the hell out of Quarry but I don't know. I just for some reason I like Sakara in this match. In any case I think this one's going to end on his feet. I think this one's going to end on his feet. Both guys love to strike. Rivera's got more of a ground and pound attack but so he still likes to throw on his hands. This is a something of the night candidate I think. I think it'll be fight in the night or knockout or the night. I think it'll be knockout. I think fighting it will be the next one which is Dennis Seaver versus Andre Winter. Yeah that's going to be candidate too for sure. Andre Winter is definitely looking to redeem himself over that Spike TV debacle. This is one of the most boring fights of the year. Lentz is a hold you down wrestler and Andre Winter is a good striker with a good Mai Tai game. I fell asleep during that fight. No ability to get a wrestler off. I got to say if you're going to have a boring fight with Dennis Seaver then you should be fired. There's no way this fight is going to be boring. I think Winter does have the capability to have an exciting fight and I think it was more Lentz's fault in the Spike TV fight than it is than it was winners. I think the winner is talented. I think Seaver is going to take this. I think Seaver is just a bear. Seaver is definitely I think one of the stronger guys in the lower division. He's a phenomenal striking game and he does have knockout power. With that being said I actually like Winter for this. This is a kind of matchup that actually favors Winter very well. He's very good at moving in and out and frustrating a smaller or a stronger striker. Seaver's got that spinning back kick which is very well documented but that's a really scouted move at this point. Everyone knows what it is. Everyone knows what it looks like. Everyone knows it's coming. If Seaver if he's got any kind of strategy or strategical thought in his brain he's definitely going to want to move away from that but he's got other tools. He does but I think Winter right now he's faster. He's lighter on his feet. He's tough enough that he can survive a couple shots from Seaver as he showed in the fight with lens. I think he's going to be able to dance around Seaver, frustrate him and pick him apart and pick up the decision win. That's why I'm thinking Winter is going to win this one. I do see your point however I don't I really don't think it's that easy to dance around Dennis Seaver. He's quick like he's big and he's tough but he's also very quick. His strikes come at you and they come at you hard and fast. So though I think Winter does have a slight edge when it comes to speed I really don't think he's going to dance around Seaver. I do think this is going to go to the decision but I'm going to call Seaver for it. Seaver by decision. Also you got to remember home court advantage. Fair enough because they are in Germany. So you can't underestimate that and another German fighter on this card is Peter Sabata taking on Amir Sedala the ultimate fighter winner. Honestly I don't know Sabata well enough to really make a good commoner skills. He's had a couple losses recently. I think I'm going to call Sedala for this. Sedala does have a great Mai Tai game. He's very fun to watch but my complaint with Sedala is he can't put anyone away. He doesn't know how to finish a fight. Yeah he hit Phil Barone with everything but the kitchen sink and still didn't knock him out. He ate Phil Barone in the face multiple times and didn't get a knockout. How you hit someone with a jump knee on the chin and not knock him out. To my opinion Sedala has no power and he doesn't have any durability. As much as this technique is wonderful I actually have to call Sabata for this. I think Sabata is just going to out top him and the home court advantage is going to play to that. That's a very assessment for sure. So then in light heavy weights we have Kristoff Szezinski making his return and take on going and relish. Szezinski's got to have this one. He's really got to have this one. Szezinski's coming off of a kind of a mixed record. He's an entertaining wrestler who likes to finish. He does throw punches. He doesn't just bury you. He's fun to watch. He's fun to watch. Relish is a good match-up form. I definitely think that Kristoff Szezinski has the out matches relish in strength and in wrestling. Szezinski has to deliver this though. If he doesn't win this he's on the chopping block. If he doesn't well I mean he's still main card for this right. He's the last guy on the main card. So I mean he's still main card but on a free event. So I think that if he loses this I don't think Dana is going to give him his walking papers because he's still exciting and entertaining and got a great personality but it's going to be it's going to be rough. If he loses this he's he's going to be on the way. He's definitely going to be in the low low low echelon of the cards and I don't think he's going to have a pay-per-view. With him with him looking to cut guys this isn't the time to go on and have boring matches. Not necessarily in the hot not necessarily in the higher divisions though. But they're looking to get sort of cut some of the fat there too and I mean Szezinski's definitely unfortunately some of the fat in the lightweight division. He's entertaining fat though. Well we'll see. I mean I think he can win it. I think he will. More importantly I think he has to. Yeah. If he doesn't win this I think you know it's down to the bottom. This might be a loser leaves town match. I think Relitch is on the bubble too. Yeah so let me go forward to the preliminary cards. Kyle Noke an ultimate fighter veteran makes his return to take on Rob Kibbins. Vladimir Majushenko best known to UFC fans for his crushing loss at the hands of John Bones Jones. Yeah he's not the first and he won't be the last. Takes on Alexander Ferreira Pascal Kraus takes on Mark Scamlin. Dwayne Ludwig takes on Nick Osapak. Seth Partozelli always known for his entertaining performances. Yep. Makes his return to take on Carlos Humolo. If anything's going to make TV for the three more cards. It'll be that one. Yeah it's always incredibly fun to watch. Yes. He actually goes out with the intention of entertaining the fans. Yep. And then Chris McCray the runner up of the court McGee season of the ultimate fighter is going to make his return to take on Carlos Edward Roca. This is a very very important fight for the Savage. He lost the ultimate fighter which usually means that you get one more shot. Yep. If Carlos Eduardo Roca beats him I don't think he's got a UFC career. If he beats Carlos Edward Roca he might be able to go on to make waves like Brandon Schwab is doing now. Oh yeah I agree. McCray I don't think McCray has the level of skill and ability that Schwab does though. I think that McCray I think if he loses I don't think Dana is going to give him much more of a bite at it. I think he's going to have to win this one. Because also I mean it was a season that really wasn't very impressive. Yeah. At all. I mean other than court court fought really well. But McCray just. This is the first fight of the night in prelims on free TV. This is not a guy that Dana's particularly invested in in my opinion. I'm thinking if he wins this he's going to get another prelim card fight. If he loses this man is you're going to be looking for work in you know shark fights. Yeah. Good whole shark fights. Good whole shark fights. But that's my opinion that we'll see. So we go forward. All right let's talk some WEC. So we've got the card coming up tomorrow. I'm pretty excited as I said. Second last WEC card you guys are ever going to see. The main event is going to be Uriah Faber versus Takaya Mitsugaki in the Bantamweight belt. This is Uriah Faber's Bansomweight debut. And I think he looks he looks pretty good to win this I think. I mean he's I mean he's coming off the Rick James style leg whipping from Jose Aldo. So hopefully he's recovered from that. Well that was a couple months ago. It was a couple months ago. He's had some time. He's a tough guy. He also dropped three weight divisions because he started lightweight. He went down to Benton Feather and now he's on Bansomweight. I think I think the weight cut is advantage here. Yeah and I think that the weight cut's not going to hurt him that much because I think the size that he is I think Bantamweight is a good weight for him. And Mitsugaki you know he's he just beat he beat Ronnie Yahya but he's lost to Jorgensen and he's lost to Miguel Torres. So he's not you know a number one rated guy in the division. I think this is a good fight for Faber and I think Faber is going to take it and he needs it. Faber really needs this because if he can't if he can't get to a high level in the Bansomweight division I mean it's going to be trouble it really is going to be trouble for him. Faber needs to win this one. I think he can beat Mitsugaki. He's he's got a very much more powerful wrestling game. His striking game is not to be underestimated and he's going to have a size and strength advantage. To me the thing to watch out for is that cut. We haven't seen how Faber handles being 135 yet. He's going to be feeling you have to figure he's got to be feeling sluggish. Drop in 20 pounds. I don't think it's possible for Uriah Faber to feel sluggish. I really don't. The guys just he's just an energy ball. Like that's one of the things that gets him where it gets him. I mean the fact the fact that he was able to take Jose Aldo for five rounds and not die. You know I've got to give it to Faber. I mean he's tough as a brick. He's tough as a brick and I don't think the way cut competition. I don't think the way cuts going to be that big of a deal. I think he'll take Mitsugaki. I'm I'm not so much curious as to you know who's going to win this is how Faber is going to win and also how he's going to handle being 135 because keep in mind that the the opinion has to be to put Faber with Cruz the champion at some point. Yeah. And if Faber is looking to be slowed down by the way cut or drained by the way cut. Cruz will eat him. Cruz will eat him. Benavides will eat him. Torres will eat him. I mean this division I mean it's not a huge division but it's got some stack like bowls is still kicking around there. I mean you've got you've got a lot of guys to deal with here. The guys the guys in this division. I mean it's not the biggest division but there there's no it's an all bone division. There's no here. Yeah for sure. Anyone you fight you're fighting a guy who's a slick elite level fighter. Yeah. So anyway we're going on to a bit of a wrestling battle in the featherweight division. We got Chad Mendez versus Javier Vasquez. Vasquez is coming off a couple of decent wins. He beat Jen's pulver beat Mac and Simmers here. He called out Chad Mendez here. Yeah he did. Chad Mendez is getting hyped by association training with alpha male. That's right. That's right. Also which is quite true. I mean but the thing is Mendez I mean it's hard to argue with his record. He's undefeated. His last fight was kind of a stinker against Cub Swanson though. For Mendez I have to give him credit. He is the only guy in WEC history to have a boring WEC match. Yeah we're just referring to that. The Cub Swanson fight was it was Nick Lenz like it was terrible. I wouldn't go so far say it was Nick Lenz like compared to the rest of the WEC but it was Nick Lenz like but yeah. It looks like this way for a company that was on the bubble of whether it would go on or whether it'd be an emergency EOC. That fight happened and then they merged. Yeah it was. I'm not going to blame that fight. I wouldn't go that far but what I do have to say is don't expect this to be the most exciting WEC fight you've ever seen. It's a couple of wrestlers going at it and it'll be a technical battle but I think that this is going to be the story of Chad Mendez laying on top of it. Yeah it's going to be I think it might be a lay in prayer and I think Mendez is going to wind up winning that way. I do think Mendez I think Mendez is going to squeak the decision. Yeah this is going to be the decision one to me. Now Vasquez is really really good at submissions so we'll see. Yeah yeah that's an ex factor for sure. But Mendez I mean if you being great against submissions it doesn't necessarily work when the guy's great at wrestling he can control you on the bottom. Yeah I think Mendez might be a bit too much. Then we got Eric Koch versus Francisco Rivera. Koch previously lost to Mendez. He was actually excited to face Grisby instead of this match but then Grisby got the title shot. So the thing with Grisby is Hamic could not take the fight in timely fashion so Grisby got the bump take on Jose Aldo. Yeah and he was supposed to face Koch so this is going to be a battle of two you know ex-factors here and either guy has had a chance to pair from. Yeah I think Koch is going to take it though. Good call. Good news is wrestling probably going to take it. Then we got Joseph Benavidez who's definitely a show favorite. I love watching this guy fight. He's fighting Fabiano who's Jujitsu guy. Marvelous Jujitsu guy. He's actually coach GSP. He's trained with Nogaras. He's really awesome. However I really think that Benavidez is too good. I think he's too quick. I think he's just too good all around. I don't think he's going to fall victim to the Jets. Benavidez has enough submission to fans and his striking game is... Oh it's masterful. Masterful. I think he's going to pick Fabiano apart on his feet. Fabiano's no slouch in the striking department but no he's no Benavidez. No slouch and Benavidez is a different level. He's no slouch. Benavidez is going to eat this guy alive in my opinion. Yeah then we got Damasio page against Demetrius Johnson. Damasio is a real well-rounded guy. Long story short I'm going to pick him to take this fight. What do you think? I'll pick a Johnson for this one. I'll pick a Johnson. Johnson is also well-rounded. He's very hungry and I think he's the more physically powerful, physically quick guy in this fight. I think when you got two guys of relatively equally skills I have to figure that Double Johnson's physical advantage here is going to be that he's going to pick up the fight. We'll see how that goes. So a couple other guys we got on the the the prelim card. Cup Swanson's fighting on this card. He's going to fight Mackin Semmer's EA. You know Cup in this last few fights he got swallowed whole. Cubs not had a not had a good track record. And the fight before that he got need almost to death by Jose Aldo. Yeah. Fastest knock out on record. He's he's in a lot of trouble. He's he's got to beat Semmer's the air. He's in a lot of trouble. And Jaquan. He's on this card. Asun Sio. Rafael Asun Sio is facing LC Davis. That should be interesting. That'll be fun. He's a Russell. Yeah. But he's very very wild and he likes to swing. Whereas Asun Sio's submission game is no joke. Yeah. That one will make it to TV in my opinion. Probably. It's going to be a submission in my opinion. Yeah. I agree. And I'm picking Asun Sio to win that one. And we do have a Canadian in the card. Eve Jib Wen. He's going to face Brandon Vischer and the Featherweight Division. So hopefully Eve can pull out a victory for us Canadians. And yeah, this all around. I mean, these guys are going to be hungry because they're looking to keep their jobs. This is going to be I think this is going to be an awesome card. This is the card where they have to show to the to the UFC guys. Hey, we fight at your level. We belong coming into your house. Yeah. So I mean, these guys are going to be looking to bring it. There's a lot of bubble fun. There's a lot of bubble guys on this card too. As I was mentioning, you know, Davis and Jaquan, Asun Sio, Swanson, all these guys are going to be looking to keep their jobs basically. They don't prove themselves now. Yeah. When they go into that division with 60 guys, there's going to be some hell to pay. Yeah. So with that being said, we've got a little bit of news that we're going to cover. So the first thing we were we're going to make a quick little reference to is one of our WEC favorite guys, Donald the Cowboy Saroni. Good old cowboy. This is some news from Saroni. He went to watch the fights at Evolution 1. Saroni is a Texas promotion. Texas promotion. Saroni is known to have previously he says the thing for ring girls. He previously hated the who doesn't. For me, Palmer, the WEC ring girl. After breaking up there, he's now dating Lindsey, Lindsey Sheffield, another ring girl. One of his roommates, we're at TMZ show now, apparently. We're TMZ show. This being said, Michael Sue, Michael Susa, a 220 pound fighter who used to be roommates with Garcia and Saroni also previously dated Lindsey Sheffield. They were at the show. They had words. The words became punches. Saroni punches the Circe on the face. Circe punched him back in the face. Saroni has a split lip and a chip tooth. Oh, Circe had a savage cut over his eye that was so bad that even though he was in the main event of the Evolution 1 show, the doctor would not clear him because the cut was too bad. They sent him home and they went on with no main event. Evolution 1, looking great. It's stuff like this. When I hear about stuff like this, I hear about the mayhem, brawls and strike force, it really goes to show you how professional UFC is and how much a cut above UFC is from all these other promotions. You've got all this circus stuff happening. UFC, it just doesn't really happen. Dana knows how to control his guys. He knows to tell his guys, "Look, if you pull stupid stuff behind stage with me, you're going to be fired." Yeah, like what happened with, he knocked cost check after the fight. Paul Daly. Paul Daly, sorry, I blanked there for a second. Paul Daly. Also, it was this pink fight. When the fighters got tested positive for steroids, there's no athletic commission in England, so they couldn't really punish the guy. Instead, UFC just said, "Hey, you know what? We're just going to fire you since we can't suspend you." Yeah. I mean, Dana doesn't mess around. If you goof up on one of his shows, he's going to punish you. He's going to punish you. It's actually bad. They don't put up with garbage and I like that. With that being said, Donald Seroni is not going to punish for this. Anyways, no reform. No. This happened outside of a sanction battle, so the commissions can't do anything about it. The Texas Commission is known to be weak anyways, and you have to figure that Dana White is laughing hysterically that one of his rival brands lost a main event as one of his 155-pound fighters beat up a 220-pound main eventer in Evolution 1. Yeah, that's a lot of credibility for Seroni there. I mean, Seroni's a tough dude. He's just fun. He's just fun, and that's all I could really... That's the only thing I could just say to describe Seroni. I mean, he has these issues with everybody. Him and Varner, just that fight was fantastic. Also, I mean, it's going to be a while before he fights again, because he just fought. So, it's not like cutting his lip or chipping his tooth is going to be a problem. He'll fight through that. He doesn't come with that. Yes. Seroni's great. With Seroni, and I think I'm moral of the story here, a takeaway has to be, if you're a firelacing this show, please don't date a ring girl because you know all the other fighters. Don't Seroni's just going to come and beat you up. If you date a ring girl, that's Seroni's property. You can't do it. Well, if not Seroni, then Anderson Silva or Shogun Roy, there's a lot of fighters, and everyone's dating ring girls now, apparently. So, don't do it. Don't be that guy. Don't be that guy. So, speaking of Meghan Miller and his post by his antics, his TV show, "Bully Beat Down," return to air on November 4th. That show is great. So, it is back on MTV. So, well done, Mr. Miller for your third season. This is going to be interesting because it's the first season with female bullies, and he's going to have some female fighters come in to beat up female boys. That's interesting. So, that's a nice little twist. Kind of cyborg come in. Now, another little mayhem bit of news. All the guys at Cesar Gracie, so Jake Shields, Gilbert Melinda, the DS brothers, they've made a pact. They've all sworn that none of them will let Meghan Miller make money with them. So, they're all refusing to fight him on mass. Really? Jim has decided that they will not fight Meghan Miller. Meghan Miller has said he's taking issue with this, and he's made a website to Tom Diaz into fighting him. The website is don'tbescaredhomey.com. Diaz loves to say that to opponents before fights. So, Meghan Miller is calling Diaz out for the Walter White Championship. He's got a website up, and he's making fun of Diaz nonstop until Diaz cracks and decides to break the Cesar Gracie pact and fight Meghan Miller. Well, he's going to have to cut some weight first. I mean, he's a natural middleweight, as he not, and he's kind of big for the middleweight division. Meghan's a little bit big for me. For him to cut to Walter White, I mean, that's a story in itself. If Meghan thinks he can do it, I'm sure he can. Oh, yeah. I hope he wins. I'm a Meghan fan. I like Meghan. And you have to figure, Meghan has got some real bad blood with Diaz. Strike force would want to see this match happen, and it'll be a good drawing fight. And I mean, as much as Diaz is in this pact of not fighting the guy, you have to figure Diaz is a hot-footed guy. If Meghan really sets out to get into this guy's skin, he's going to do it. They've already got into one dust up at a show. Yeah. So, I mean. Yeah. To be perfectly honest, though, I think Diaz's aspirations lie with getting into the UFC. I mean, I really think he wants, I really think he wants a shot at GSP down the line. I do think so. And if you're a 170 pound fighter and you don't want to shot GSP, you're doing something terribly wrong. But I think he's going to have to fight Meghan Miller at some point. He's still got fights left on his contract. Yeah, it's true. So, we go forward. Diego Sanchez, fresh off his win over Paulo Tiago. Impressive win. Very impressive win. Look like it really cemented his place in the 170 pound division. So, Sanchez is saying that now that he's cemented his place in 170, he's thinking about moving back down to 155. Really? Apparently, he feels a new surge of confidence, possibly having to do with he doesn't want to have to be in the position where he might eventually fight up his gym mate GSP. Okay. I guess that makes sense. Really? You just came back in the division. You're not in the line for championship anytime soon. And caught up with other Jimmy and said he's no problem. I'm saying that, but I'm saying that it makes sense in the case that, you know, Sanchez just doesn't want to fight BJ Penn. I think Sanchez has more to do with where BJ Penn is and where GSP is. Yes, exactly. And Paulo Tiago, the loser that fight, although he lost, he lost small enough to get a new four-fight contract. So, he'll be staying in the U. He deserves a contract. I mean, he's a good fighter. He's just had, you know, he just run into some really, really hot guys. I mean, Cammon was really looking to make a name for himself and recover himself. And Sanchez was just trained so well for this fight. You know, Tiago just, you know, he ran into a couple of bad opponents. He's still an entertaining fighter. He's still impressive. And I think he's still got a future. So strike for us, the promotion that we both love to hate. Yeah. They've brought back their big gun, the guy that gets some of the best TV ratings. Herschel Walker, still on the list, still around. Herschel Walker. It is Herschel Walker. Herschel Walker is making his return to take on his second opponent, 40-year-old Scott Carson. Seriously? Dead serious, man. That will be happening on December 4th. What is there to say about Herschel Walker has not already been said? Well, you know what, class guy. Lovely guy. Great athlete. Just, I love, I love, I always keep going back to the fight when you have, that you have with Greg Nodes after the fight saying it doesn't matter. Just coming in here. Everybody who comes in here, a club. I mean, it's just an older school, classy athlete, a personality. I mean, I think Herschel Walker is awesome as a person. But I'd like to see him, if he's going to fight, I would like to see him fight, you know, some legitimate competition, because I really want to see what he can actually do. So, he's back. Just quickly, let's just sum it up. Velasquez, King of Velasquez, new heavyweight champion. His markets have come in. They were extremely strong in cities, the UFC is not strong in, including San Diego, San Antonio, and Phoenix. The initial thought is because these cities have strong Latino populations. Well, that's what they were marketing sports. So, Velasquez is, the Velasquez experiment is proving successful. Also, Velasquez went on the George Lopez show. He apparently thought he was going to do an interview, and then he realized to his terror that he had to do a skit with Lopez. Came Velasquez who fought Brock Lesnar at the 300-pound, to a two-time Division One wrestling champion without any fear. Apparently, it was so wobbly that he had to sit down as his knees gave out as a thought of doing a skit on the George Lopez show. With that being said, I, too, would be terrified of the George Lopez show. That's a really bad show. I don't mind Lopez. George Lopez is funny. I don't mind him. Oh, this is funny, but I don't want to do skits with a guy. And Josh Kosschek, to finish sum it up, he is going to be on the Ultimate Fighter tonight at 10 o'clock on Spike TV, taking on GSP. Well, taking on GSP coaching, not the actual fight. In the last week's show... Should be two fights this week. Two fights this week. In the last week's show, Kosschek was shown choking a male medic. Yeah, they got into a little bit of a dust-up. A little bit of a dust-up. Further footage has emerged showing Kosschek actually getting into the fight with the medic after the medic said some kind, unkind things about the Armenian fighters and Kosschek's team's accents. Yeah, yeah. And Kosschek was jumping to their honor. Now, with that being said, Kosschek makes fun of GSP's accent all the time. Yeah. I mean, I think, if you're, to me, just this whole leaked footage by Kosschek, come now. Here you go. You received a drink beforehand. I still think you are. Well, all I got to say about that, and I'm just going to... I think we should end on this note is if you're ever in a fight and somebody grabs a garbage can, you better grab a plunger. It just makes him please. Anyone who saw last week's episode is going to see that. So anyway... It's like paper rock plunger. Yeah. All right. So on that note, I think we'll head out. I hope you've been listening to us at CF-93.3 CFMU and look for us on iTunes or at thehammermma.com. Have a good week, guys.
