[Music] Hello and welcome to the Hammer Live at 93.3 CFMU and also on iTunes and the Internet, you can find us at www.thehammer.com, H-A-M-M-A-R. I'm your host Dave, joined us always by my good friend Greg, how's it going guys? And of course Steve is bringing us the names. Hey. So we've got an interesting little show, we've got a whole bunch of reviews, a preview and some news to go over. We're not going to talk too much about the Strike Force throw of last Wednesdays, it's a little bit dated, but we will be going over some news from the fall to that show later. So we're going to move right on to the Ultimate Fighter 11 Finale Results of Saturday. So we're going to start with a preliminary card. We have James McSweeney being defeated by Travis Brown by TKO in 1 minute and 43, or 1 minute and 32 seconds of round one. This was Travis Brown's U.S.A. debut. Sweeney did not look particularly great for here. There's actually some controversy about that by, I don't know if you guys, I think you guys called it out while you were watching it. And McSweeney was getting elbows to the back of the head or close enough to it, but he's fighting the decision. Well, I mean McSweeney is notorious for... He's got a big mouth. I mean, you know what, honestly, I think that... He likes to talk a good fight, but the ref didn't call it in the fight. What are you going to do? Well, no, that's the thing. Apparently he has cuts on the back of his head where that would be where that shouldn't be there. And he's going to fight it. He may not get it overturned, but he's definitely trying. Well, good luck with that, but I don't think he'll be overturned. I mean, the ref didn't call it, so... Then we go forward to James Hamartry, who was defeated by Christopher Kamozi in a unanimous decision. Hamartry's career is probably done with that. Kyle Noke picks up a win over Josh Bryant with a TKOs in round two. So Kyle Noke was a guy that they were high on, so he will probably be coming back for prelim fights in the future. Brad Tavares picks up your unanimous decision over Chris Bekinsky. Tavares is another guy that they were high. So look for him to be having preliminary fights going forward. And then Gunderson defeated John Gardner, who's defeated Mark Holes for a unanimous decision to close out the preliminary card. We go over forward to the main card. Rich Antinito defeated Jamie Yeager with TKO in round two at four minutes and 25 seconds. Antinito looked awesome through this. He took David Jager down at Will, and he also struck him, which is impressive. He didn't want to show if he didn't get hurt. I think he probably would have, and he's definitely picked up a contract off of this. Yeager was the guy they had high hopes for. Unfortunately, he's a quitter. He gets hit, and he just falls apart. His ability doesn't line up with his look and his personality. Yeah. He's got the right look. He's got the right personality. He just can't fight his way over. He looks like he'd be in a lot better shape than he actually is until he gets as quick. Definitely. There were guys in the crowd that had the big Afro wigs and the Yeager bomb looking at looking shirts and stuff. It's like, "Man, if he could fight, he'd be a star." It's a ton of smoke, but no fire, unfortunately. Yeah. He'd be a great fighter if you could only fight. Exactly. Which unfortunately he can't. Anyway, we look forward to Dennis Seaver, the German back kick specialist. He picks up a unanimous decision over Spencer Fisher. I was happy about this one. I don't like Seaver. Yeah. Seaver's a good fighter. He was knocked out a contention a little bit with his previous defeat, but this was taken back into the division. He's not quite a contender yet, but he's definitely a prospect. Then we go forward to Aaron Simpson versus Chris Lieben. Simpson was the guy they have really, really high hopes for. He trains with some of the best. However, Chris Lieben, the Ultimate Fighter I veteran, showed his experience. He toughed out Simpson's storm in the first round. And the second round, Simpson looked to be gassing. And Chris Lieben picked up a TKO via punches at four minutes and 17 seconds. So, well done for the brotherhood of the red haired fighters. It's surprising too. I thought Simpson, I was pretty high on Simpson coming into this. I thought Simpson had it. He was my call to win this, but Lieben toughed it out. And I mean, it's a little bit unusual because wrestlers are normally known for their cardio, but Lieben picks up the win. What can you say? Well, Lieben's a tough tough dude. You could definitely take a punch. He dedicated this fight to his lifelong blood brother Ed Herman. Who Simpson injured? Who Simpson injured? And he also, after this fight, was given an opportunity for a fight very, very shortly that we'll talk about with the news. So, look for it's more Chris Lieben later. We go to Matt Hamill versus Keith Jardine. Keith Jardine said that he was going to prove that after his four loss went streak, that he was able to come back and show his dominance in the division. He did that by losing by decision to Matt Hamill. I mistakenly called a KO by Jardine. I should have known better. Well, I didn't. I actually called Hamill. So, Hamill, it picks up another win, which just makes him two in all because he beat John Bonjones. I think he's got a lot on the longer streak than I've actually. He might be a three. And then Keith Jardine is now five losses in a row. They love him. He's a good guy, but you have to figure his days are numbered. Keith Jardine can't win a fight. Yeah, you have to, prelims have to be next. There's so many, so many chances you give to a guy that keeps losing. Sure, he's Rashad's buddy. Sure, he's kind of... When he knocks people out it's exciting. It's just that he never knocks people out. You have to send a message to him. Prelims? You lose that prelim. It's over. It's weird, though, because he trains with Jackson, so he'd be... You think he'd be better. It's such a great gym. I just assume that everyone who comes out of Greg Jackson's gym is going to be fantastic. He's a good sparring partner for Rashad, but that doesn't make you a good fighter. Yeah, but it's true. So, let me go forward to the finale. Court McGee versus Chris McCray. Chris McCray, the Savage, we had a lot of high hopes for. However, Court McGee showed just how tough he is. He's been training hard with some good guys. He came out, dominated McCray in the first round with punches and takedowns. In the second round, he managed to get back position. McCray rolled out of it. McCray got it again. And then got locked in the rear naked choke to pick up the submission win at three minutes and 41 seconds in round two. McCray, they still have good hopes for him, so look for him to be on the prelim cards and probably Spike TV. Court McGee looked very, very dominant. He's been training with chalk, said how much he loved chalk. Dan likes it. He's a good promo. He's got a good back story. Yeah. He's an exciting fighter. He's coming into a war. He's coming into a division that's not stacked. For the few people who may not know, Court McGee is like, he's talked about... He's covering heroin addict who's, you know, coming back and saying that martial arts saved his life because it gives him the death's point he needs to resist all his pieces. He's found a stable family life and MMA and he's won the ultimate fighter and this is like, you know, he's completely turned his life around. You know, except in the award. You mark this guy correctly and discuss it here. You can't push him too far. You really can't push him too far. You've got to take your time with him because he could be something. A big thing I like with McGee. He's got a fairly well-rounded game. He's got a tough chin and he's got a lot of heart. You know, ultimately, at the top end of every division, there's guys that are almost unbeatable and that's true. But with McGee, I think he's got enough tools. I could see him going into the middle of that division. I don't know if he'll be able to pick up wins over Nate Marquardt or Damian Meyer. Or Alan Belcher. Or Alan Belcher. But I definitely think he's going to be able to fight those guys and have it be a convincing, marketable fight. I agree. So we go forward from there to... The WVC card with Shrek is going to go over with us. Alright, so, WVC 49. Excuse me. Basically, I'm just going to go through the main card. Bandsome way about. We got Eddie Wineland versus Will Campuzano. This is a great fight. These guys are striking like crazy because it's WVC. Everyone strikes like crazy and it's always great. Wineland won this fight via TKO strikes near the end of round two. This was actually really impressive. He knocked Campuzani down a couple times and Campuzani managed to rally back a few times. But wineland just kept coming. He got an unstoppable cardio. He never took the heat off. Campuzano looked really tough, but he just got overwhelmed eventually. So then, to the lightweight division, we got Chris Horodacchi, the Canadian, versus newcomer Danny Downs. And Danny Downs is a tough, tough Irish dude. Horodacchi controlled this fight from the beginning and he just kept on going for submissions. I was striking and just owning Danny Downs, but he just couldn't put him away until he finally submitted him. At 109 of round three. Now, this is good for Horodacchi, but I think he would have wanted to have more convincing victory. It wasn't a particularly impressive victory. Horodacchi is very, very small for the division. Yeah. Downs towered over him. I look like he had a way to advantage too. Now, here's something. Downs took this fight on a very, very short end. It's supposed to be at Radcliffe. Yeah. So he took on a very short notice. He wasn't in shape. He wasn't anything. And if Horodacchi couldn't beat a guy who didn't even train for the fight. Or he took him that much to put this guy away. Horodacchi, I don't know if it's a case of Horodacchi not having enough on his strikes or Downs just being a really, really tough dude. Well, Horodacchi might need to cut weight to fight in, you know, a lighter division. In feathery. You know, feather or even Bantam, because at 5'8", he's really, really small for the W.C. lightweight. And what kills me is that he's got a lot of skill and he's got a lot of ability. He's got talent, but I mean, being technically good doesn't really help you unless you have the physical tools to go with it. And unfortunately, this is two times in a row. In Sequani crushed him because In Sequani's taller and stronger. He did not look great against Danny Downs. I mean, like, we're fight journalists. I've never heard of Danny Downs before this fight. I don't think I'm ever going to hear of him after this fight. So, you know. Well, C, I mean, I kid's tough. But anyway, we're going to move on. Next, we got a featherweight bout between Josh Grispy and L.C. Davis. I thought Davis was going to take this, but I was wrong. Sorry? This ended quick. Yeah, this did end quick. Grispy defeated Davis. Technical submission. Guillotine choke. 233 of round one. This was scary one. It was. Davis went out. His eyes rolled in the back of his head. I thought he killed Davis. I thought he was in the back. Oh my God, he's dead. That was a scary looking at dudes eyes. Yeah. And L.C. Davis, I mean, he looks like a really tough dude. And he is a tough dude. He's in great shape. I guess the W.C. is pretty high on Grispy. We'll see where he goes from here. He's got great submissions. But snobs and options are incredible. For him to, for him to take down Davis the way he did, I mean, he's going to look at something, someone who'll probably get Aldo maybe in the near future. A couple more fights and maybe throw, throw him into contention. Well, if Aldo keeps fighting four times a year, you know, he'll get down to him soon enough. Yeah, eventually, right. So anyway, we go featherweight bout. A couple of Canadians in this one, Mark Comnick, versus Eve Gebwam. So good. This was fantastic. These two guys are kickboxers. Eve Gebwam is the North American, or the Canadian champion. Mark Comnick is the North American champion. Yeah. Eve Gebwam is from Montreal. Mark Haminek is from Toronto. So this was Toronto versus Montreal. And he trains in. He trains with Stout and Horodetsky. They all train together in the same camp. So this was one of the maybe five best fights I've seen this year. It was great. It's so exciting. It's not quite Korean zombie. It's not Korean zombie, but on a Garcia level. But Haminek said that he wanted to fight Garcia next. So that should be fantastic. But anyway, the actual result was Haminek defeating Gebwam via TKO 321 of round two. I would have loved for this to go to decision because I could watch these guys kick down out of each other for another round. For all, this was an impressive fight. And they both looked great. It wasn't like two guys wildly swinging. This was more technical than the Korean zombie fight. And the Korean zombie and the Garcia were just flailing each other, which was fun. But these two were just excellent technical strikers. These guys were a laser precise. And that's why this didn't go to precision. The second in Jibon got hit with that lead kick and dropped his hand as a fraction of the inch. Haminek came in with the right hand, and that was it. Yeah, if Haminek hits you with that clean right, it's over. Yeah, this is the Canadian future, and WEC is definitely a rest with these two guys. No disrespect to Horodetsky, but I mean these are these two guys. Please tell me these guys showed me. Yeah. So anyway, the main event was a lightweight bout, which I was looking forward to for a while. Jamie Varner versus Kamal Shalaroos. This was very interesting because Shalaroos is a wrestler, but he decided to strike. And he's got a great striking game too. It's one of the reasons I love him is he can do everything. But Varner outstruck him because Varner is really a better striker. And I was worried for Shalaroos. The thing with Kamal Shalaroos is he's an interesting striker because he's so wild and so powerful. Yeah. But he's not a precise striker, and that goes him through at this. He was going with leg kicks to try to cut down a lot of speed advantage. Varner is a former champ and he's no joke. And he kicked him in the groin three times. He really does. He kept going with inside leg kicks, he knocked him down, he got docked to point. He got docked to a point where he probably shouldn't have been docked too. He should have been docked twice, I agree. Anyway, this fight, we'll go to the result. This fight wound up ending in a draw, which was interesting. Had Shalaroos not lost the point, he would have won. There's a lot of debate about this one because a lot of people were like, well, you know, Kamal Shalaroos got docked to point. But I ultimately called Shalaroos winning round two and round three. I called Varner winning round one. But, you know, he outstruck Kamal in round one, but Kamal landed all those leg kicks. By round two, Varner was slowed down. So you say, okay, well, you won two rounds. You get docked to point for a draw in round two. It's a draw. Cecil Peeples called it 28-28. Interestingly, the other two rounds split on this. Yeah, he did. One rough gave the fight to Kamal, saying you won all three rounds. Yeah, it was 29-27-29. I don't even understand how you can get the math on one of those. No, I don't understand that either. I think that this was the right call. I really do. As much as I'm not the biggest fan of Cecil Peeples, this was the right call. And I mean, that was how I scored the fight. And another thing, too. Side note about Jamie Varner. I don't think he's going to be fighting for a little while because he broke his hand and his foot in this fight. At least that's what it looked like. On Kamal, Shaulers. That guy is a piece of iron. I cannot say enough good things if Kamal, Shaulers. 37 years old. He's like a piece of cement. 37. And just, oh, man. And it's also not only did he break all these body parts, but he also got kicked in the groin three times. He looked so destroyed. Yeah. Well, worse part of it. I mean, the interesting thing with the judges is both the first two rounds are so close. They could have gone either way. So the weird judging kind of have made sense. But haphazardly. In the third round after he took the third groin kick after Kamal, who I've been docked to point. He came, the ref comes over to Dvarner. We look like he just got killed. He looked so sad and hurt. Hey, Varner's like, did you really stock up the point? The ref's like, no. I just gave him a warning. I'll dock him on the next one. Varner looked like he was about to cry. Look like the ref just kicked him in the groin a fourth time. He screamed and swore. He was like, I'm not going to take anything away from Varner. I think Varner's fantastic. And had that point been docked, Varner would have won the fight. Absolutely. So it kind of sucks that they're not going to see a rematch between these guys because he's injured. But Shallaroos is going for the belt next, I think. Oh, that makes sense. The thing with Varner is, I think he knew that he wasn't going to win that round. And he needed a lot of vloggers to get the fight. That's why he was so upset. You've got a broken hand and a broken foot. You've been kicking the legs over 30 times. Something against his ability, but he was way too bad to win that round. This was a first contender's match to see who gets the fight. Bendo next, the former champ or Kamal. And it ended in a draw. That's a very interesting thing. Now, with Varner being injured, even though they kind of look at it as a win for him, because Kamal fell a lot of time. Shallaroos is probably going to go ahead because he's not hurt. And then Varner will get the winner. And he's got to look at what's going to make a good fight and what the fans want to see. And the fans are going to want to see Kamal Shallaroos fight Bendo for sure. The fans are definitely happy with Kamal with this one. They booed him quite a lot. They booed him but they'll watch. They're going to want to see the fight. True. Any combination of those three, I'm looking forward to seeing it. Yeah. Just something about a guy who's a wrestler, an Olympic wrestler, who can strike like that. And is that tough? I mean, it makes for a great fight. If he uses wrestling more, though, would have been his. Oh, it would have been totally his. But it would have been a lot more boring, I think. Well, and then to go forward to the bonuses. For the USC card, submission of the night went to Court McGhee. Knockout of the night went to Chris Levy with the TKO. And fight of the night went to Hamil and Jardine. Yeah. For WEC, we got to fight of the night. Obviously Mark Hominek versus Yves Jevoir. Knockout of the night went to Eddie Warnland. And submission of the night went to Josh Grisby. These, no surprises here. So, leaving got his, his knockout bonus. Well, he's also going to get some more money because Vanderlei Silva just pulled out of the fight with Akiyama. Oh, really? Stratchet ribs. Yeah. Man. July 3rd, coming up. The co-main event of the Brock Lesnar Shane Karwin card. Yeah. So, he's got broken ribs and hurt leg and all this stuff. And so, yep. So, now, Chris Levy is stepping into fight Akiyama. Man, that's three weeks. Three weeks after his last fight. That's a letdown. It's a real letdown. The interesting, with this one, because Wanna like pulled out, Daniel's like, "Who in the middleweight division wants to step up and fight Akiyama?" On three weeks notice. Chris Levy took the fight. I have to say, you're insane. Like, I expect the courage, but taking on Akiyama three weeks and after you're just coming off of a win where you got pounded in the first round. Yeah. Akiyama's no joke. No. And, you know what? I don't think this has matched people really caring to see too much. But, you know what? Everyone's buying the show for Lesnar Karwin anyway. Yeah. So, really, it's like, what does it even have matters here? I think they're saying, you know what? Even if I get crushed by Akiyama, which is a realistic possibility, at least I get the Lesnar Karwin. The payday. The big payday. So. You can get some more tattoos. Yeah. So, buy some more hair dye. Yeah. Yeah. So, Quentin Rampage Jackson was on MMA live this week, and he issued a challenge to Forrest Griffin, because they fought back in 2008. Mm-hmm. Because we've talked about it a bit. This seems like a logical match. It does. For sure. I think it will happen. And then the Forrest. Forrest is coming off of a win, and Rampage is coming off a loss. However, Rampage is higher in the division than Forrest is. Isn't Forrest hurt, though? Fair. Yeah. By the time this fight's going to come around, I think they can make this fight for four months down the line. That's true. He'll be fine. Yeah. And, I mean, that was a very tightly contested decision, too, with a lot of leg kicks. And Rampage thinks he's better at defending it right now. It was very close. So, you know, we'll see where that happens. In a little bit of Strike Force news, they decided that to find a contender for the 135-pound title, they're going to do an eight-woman tournament, which takes place over two different nights. The first night is going to be the first four matches, and then a few months down the line, they're going to do the semi-finals and the finals in the same night, which is a pretty good way to make another women's star. Yeah, you know? I'm going to say that we'll get the right to lose to Sarah Kaufman. Yes, exactly. But also interesting is that Jake Shields is pretty much guaranteed to be going to USC. He gets close as a sure thing as you can come when it comes to contract negotiations. And the Strike Forces wants to do a middleweight title tournament in the same vein. Okay. Makes sense. I mean, there's got a lot of middleweights in that division. You've got to peek their interests somehow. So, put together. Because I'm interested in them right now. And this way, within a four-month window from the day of the first four fights to when you crown a champion, within four months, you can get yourself a new champ and get the taste of Jake Shields. The tournaments have worked for a lot of the Japanese promotions and they even worked in the first days of USC. The problem with tournaments are, as guys... People get angry at you, see on the other side, you're going to fight her every single time. As guys start to get injured, you start to devalue the tournaments. How about the original UFC, those old tournaments? Those old tournaments. I mean, guys would come in and fight one fight the final, you know? Because I think doing it this way, splitting it up over two different nights is probably the best option. You don't have to wait a year to get a contender, and you can still do it with a lesser risk of injury. Yeah. And yeah, that's pretty much all I got. There's a speaking of strike force. One last little news out there. In the last Wednesday show, Renato Sabral took on Robbie Lawler at a catchweight belt. And the price for this was, if Robbie Lawler was normally middleweight one, he'd win a title shot at the middleweight title. If Renato Sabral, who was a 205-pounder, won, he'd win a shot at King Mo. Renato Sabral being much bigger. He did pick up the win in a tight decision. Very, very good. By King Mo's his boy. Afterwards, he says, "Thanks for the title shot. I don't want to fight King Mo. He's my good friend." King Mo said, "I don't want to fight and run on Sabral. He's my good friend." So strike force, you had Robbie Lawler lose. And he had to win two non-contenders. Doesn't want to be a contender. So you had a number one contenders match where no one became a number one contender. Oh, man. Yeah. Exactly. And that's why I say 16 months left on this promotion, 15 weeks. No, I think you're down to 15 weeks. 15 weeks. 15 months and three weeks. Because they're clowns. They don't understand what's going on. Yeah, why would you make that fight and put those stipulations in if they're bigger? No, check if I know if the guys wants to be contenders. Now, despite strike force being a clown show, say, they do have a card coming up this week, which may actually be pretty cool. So this Saturday, strike force is going on TV. This will be on show time. Show time. Show time. So we have the announced, we have some announced matchups and we have some unannounced matchups. On the very, very likely. Keeping in mind, this is four days from now. They haven't finalized the card yet. There's a main card. There's a main card. But the premium card we hypothetically think is Yancy Medeiros versus Garris Joseph, Bob Stock versus Derek Bernsett, Brett Bergman versus Wagner Roca, and Ron Kessler versus Chris Kope. I can't say too much about them because they haven't finalized the matches. So I don't know if any of these matches are going to take place. Well, we decided, like, let's ripen for the show. You know, let's make sure about these matches. We go to strikeforce.com. There's some card information. We've got bigger names out of a hat. Yeah. So let me go forward to the main card. Josh Thompson is going to take on Pat Healy. Now, Pat Healy is a fairly serious contender. He's the lightweight champion of MFC, which is maximum fighting champion. He's got wins over Carlos Conde and a couple other ones. We're way back though. You know, some time ago, Josh Thompson came off that fight of the year with Gilbert Melendez last year. From last December. What a great fight that was. Yeah. Awesome fight. So if Josh Thompson wins this, he's back in contention for the championship. I'm calling Thompson to win this one in the lightweight division. Yeah, I agree. She's more of a wall fighter. I agree. Thompson already has a win over Melendez, and so he's won and won with the champ. They're definitely beating this guy who, like Healy, it wasn't even their first choice for this fight. Yeah. It's got to be him. And they want them to do a rematch of the fight of the year, last year. So we go forward to the rematch of Kung Leavers of Scott Smith. Now in the first fight, Kung Lea, spinning back kick Scott Smith for three straight rounds. Scott Smith is invincible in the third round after he took all the punishment. He counter punched and knocked Kung Lea out for Kung Lea's first loss. Kung Lea saying he's better than ever. He's been training harder than ever. Scott Smith is saying that it wasn't a fluke and that he's going to prove that he can soak up anything Kung Lea does and counter him. So they will be going for their second match. The first fight was fun. Yeah. Kung Lea, you can finally be fun too. And Scott Smith will win the second one too. I think Scott Smith is just too much in terms of what he can take. And like, you know, Kung Lea, he's a great striker, but he doesn't have a lot of, you know, crushing knockout power. It's a bad matchup for him. Yeah. This is really one of those things where, I mean, whenever they do a rematch, you never know how it's going to go differently. But really, Kung Lea is going to do flashy moves and beat him up for a couple rounds and then Scott Smith. Scott Smith is... Scott Smith is... Hands the steals. We'll be the comeback kid yet again. Yeah. And this is probably going to be a replay of the first match. But... Not that it won't be fun to watch. Yes. First match is entertaining. So this will be an incredibly entertaining fight. Definitely watch this one. So we do narrow watching for... He's a video game character. Yeah. Scott Smith is... Straight on the Tekken. Yeah. It's Tekken versus Rocky. I mean, you can't get better than this. Speaking of Tekken versus Rocky, we go forward to the women's featherweight championship out. Christine Seiberks Santos versus Jan Finney. Which one's Tekken? Which one's Rocky? Christine Seiberks. Christine Seiberks is both. Oh, wait. Okay. She's the robot from Tekken. She's the cyborg robot from Tekken. Now Jan Finney is replacing Erin Tufill, who is rumored to be in contention, but who pulled out because she does not like the way Strike first does business. She's afraid of cyborg. That's what I said. Everyone's afraid of cyborg. I'm afraid of cyborg. Now interesting we'll know for cyborg, her husband fought on the car last Wednesday. Yep. He's cut from middleweight to welterweight, so he weighs 170 pounds. Cyborg is in her bulking up before she cuts. Her husband won, by the way. Her husband did win over Mary Stromske. She weighs 165 pounds. She came into the ring to kiss her husband for victory. She's as big as he is. She picked him up on her shoulders, carried him around the ring, left the ring. After he came out, she threw him over her shoulder and walked back like a caveman. She, this is the strongest woman I've ever seen in my life. Jan Finney is not in her league. Christine Sawtos is going to eat her alive. Yeah. Tough said. I know. Jan Finney is tough, but... Jan Finney has lost to Erin Tufill, to... Shannon Basler, to Misha Tate. Pretty much all the name women fighters right now, other than cyborg, cyborg is going to eat her alive. Yeah. This will be fun to watch, just to see cyborg go to work. Yeah. Cyborg is not going to mess around with this. She's coming in bigger, stronger, and more technically skilled. And no doubt wearing pink and dancing to techo music. Mm. Well, I just cyborg. And yet still not really being attractable, do we? Come on. I was saying this earlier, like, I respect her as much as any great fighter in the world. I love her in the way I love GSP. But I can't... But you don't want to sleep with GSP. I can't, yeah. Like, I don't want to sleep with GSP. And like, you know, it's not the same affection I have for, like, you know, Kim Kauter who... Carrie Verra. You can't fight it at all. But at least she's a pretty mom. You know, like, Christine Sawtos isn't a beauty, but gosh, he's a great fighter. So we go forward to the other great fighter on the card. Fabrice Overdue takes on a little-known Russian fighter named Fedor Amelianenko, the last emperor. Now, Fabrice Overdue is a two-time Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu world champion. Fedor Amelianenko is a sommel world champion as well as the number one ranked heavyweight in the world. For a while. For years and years and years, Star of Pride has beaten pretty much everyone he's ever fought. If you've never seen a Fedor fight, find one and watch it. So there will be one this weekend. There will be one this weekend. Yeah, there will be one this weekend. It will be one this weekend. Perfect opportunity if you haven't seen Fedor fight. Mm-hmm. Fabrice's best opportunity lies on the ground. Fedor is one of his last four fights by knockout, so people are saying that he's got a great chance of knocking Fabrice out. Fabrice is not known for his stand-up. He's definitely a Jiu-Jitsu guy. However, with that being said, Fedor does have knockout power and he is a precise striker, but as good of a striker he is. He's even better grappler. Yeah. So I mean, I think Fabrice is doomed in this fight. I think he is too. I really don't see how he can possibly be Fedor. You know what? For Fabrice, he lost an upset at the time. At the time it was an upset. Now it wouldn't be too junior descent to us. Yeah, that's right. And you know what? Fedor is just going to do the same thing. Yeah, Fedor is as good if not better, a striker than junior descent to us. Mm-hmm. Well, I mean Fedor's got, he's quick. He's got heavy hands. He's got accurate punches. He's got great ground game, good submission, good ground pound. Fabrice, what we're doing is got great submissions, but that's only one tool in your belt. You've got to get the fight to the ground and you've got to lock it in. I don't think that you're going to have the tool set to take Fedor to the ground and lock him up. I think if you do take the fight to the ground, it's going to be on Fedor's terms. He's going to get on top even if he's going to pound you to death. Yeah. I mean. Choosing Fedor on a fight like this is like no kidding. Yeah. The like, there's no question about in my mind that Fedor is going to win this fight. The only question is why they would bother to do it. However, it gives Fedor more opportunity to be exposed to the American market before he takes on the champion Alistair Overeem. And also the risk of him being injured against Bredoum is probably pretty low because Bredoum is not a striker. Yeah. So I mean, breaking your hand on Rogers is one thing. I don't think Fedor is going to break his hand on Bredoum. So unless there's an upset, Fedor will win this fight and then go on to face Alistair Overeem. Coach, like I said, that Overeem deserves Fedor. It's nice to be able to do some day. Yeah. It's a lot of chips to fall together because M1 is known for Hummin and Hummin over things like this. Yeah. So at this point, this is a number one contender's match to see who faces Alistair Overeem for the championship. Fedor the last of Emperor Emile Enenko, the best fighter in the world versus a top ten ranked fighter who is also a Jiu Jitsu master. Fedor so can't pull it off if he gets a crazy leg lock. He's definitely got the ability to do it. I do call Fedor to win the fight, but it'll be into game. It's as sure as Chris Bauch not coming back and signing with the Raptors. And the big selling point of the Strike Force card this weekend, the best male fighter in the world and the best female fighter in the world both on the same card. It's going to be good. I'm actually looking forward to it. Anyone Strike Force comes together. It's good. But they just barely ever do. Tom is really entertaining. Lee and Smith will be entertaining. Cyborg and last emperor will be fairly one sided in my team. It'll be fun to watch. But it'll be interesting to see the two best in the world. Go to work. Yeah. In their respective interventions. Go to work. Yep. So hopefully we'll have a great show on Saturday. And we'll talk to you all with the results on Wednesday. Go to TheHammer.com.
