It's our follow-up to UFC 115: Liddell vs. Franklin, a show that managed to be pretty average, despite an arm-breaking in the main event.  We also preview this weekend's Ultimate Finale 11 and WEC 49.

In between, we discuss this week's news including Chael Sonnen's shenanigans, Lesnar's referee issues, and what the A-Team box office means for Rampage Jackson.

[Music] Welcome to Hammer. I'm your host, Dave, and I'm joined as always by Greg and back. How's it going guys? And of course, Steve, hey. So, welcome to our June edition of the show. You're listening to us live at 93.3 CFMU, and you can also hear us on iTunes or on our website, thehammer.com, that is, H-A-M-M-A-R. We've got a pretty interesting show for you today. We're going to do a quick review of the UFC 115. We're going to review the, or preview the upcoming Ultimate Fighter Finale Card, as well as the WEC event of Shalaroos vs. Barnard. And of course, we have the news as always from Steve. So, let's start with the UFC 115. This is the Franklin vs. Liddell show that happened this Saturday. We're going to go through this one pretty quickly because we've got a lot of ground to cover, but here's the basics of it. Mike Pyle took on Jesse Lennox in the welterweight division and won by submission. Claude Patrick, their Canadian boy from Toronto, took on Ricardo Funk, and beat him with a guillotine choke at 1 minute and 48 seconds in round two. Funch, and that was a pretty impressive fight. It was very good. Claude Patrick looked really good. He's got a bright future. I didn't see any of the undercard fights that aired on TV. That was on Spike. They were both on Spike, actually. James Wilk took on Peter Sabata and picked up a win by unanimous decision. And then David Luazzo took on Mario Miranda. Mario picked up the win here with TKO in round two. Luazzo is on a bit of a losing streak, and he's had licensing issues in Quebec. His time with the UFC is pretty much over. Dana has said that his contract is up for now. Well, the real benefit to a lot of these Canadian fighters is for the hometown crowd reaction. If you can't fight, there may not be another Vancouver show. If you can't fight in Quebec, Toronto's not legitimized yet. What's the point of keeping this guy? No shame, because Luazzo is a nice guy and he's a decent character. He just can't seem to grab himself a win and the licensing issues. It's kind of a shame, but if you can't win, you don't play. And no one's going to really particularly carry free fights in Boston. Nobody's going to care outside of Canada, not much. So we go forward to the Spike TV preliminary card. We're going to start with Mack Dansing versus Matt Wyman. Now, this is an interesting one. Danzig is a former Ultimate Fighter winner. He came out looking to strike with Wyman and track him down. Wyman managed to reverse a shot and get on top, lock in a guillotine choke. At one minute and 45 seconds in the first round, Wyman turned from the guillotine choke to the referee, Yves Levine, and said he's out, Yves Levine stopped the fight and pulled Wyman off. However, Mack Dansing was not out. He did not tap. The choke was not locked in along the left side of his neck. He was up and fine, so this was a huge referee error. It's a referee error. I'm not going to hold Yves Levine responsible. He made a call, and it's better to be on the safe side. If you think the fighter's out, then you should stop the fight. And Dan is going to give them a rematch anyway. Yeah. This was an unfortunate one. It was definitely something that was a little bit questionable because Dansing had his hands low on Wyman's knees to prevent him from locking in the choke. And then the whole side of his neck was exposed too, so there was blood getting to his head. So, Yves Levine saw his hands were still and thought the fight was over, but he was actually holding the other fighter off. Dansing was very classy about this. He said it wasn't anyone's fault, and he said that he'd be glad to fight again. Wyman also said he was always fault, and he'd be glad to fight again, so they were most likely to fight again in short order. He didn't pull the rematch. He didn't pull Paul Daley and hit Yves Levine back in the ebell. And Yves Levine with his decision, he was booed in pretty much every time he showed up for the rest of the pay-per-view, more than anyone else have ever heard, really. The Canadian fans were not pleased with fellow Canadian Yves Levine and his bad decision here. Yeah, Russ really can't take the Otter system. Yeah. So, we go forward to Tyson Griffin versus Evan Dunham. This is an interesting one because they both train out of extreme culture. This is a fun one. They decided to fight anyways. It was a kind of fun one. The first round was pretty close. I actually gave it to Griffin. The second round was pretty close too. And the third round Evan Dunham managed to just basically take complete control and was on the back of Tyson Griffin almost the entire time. At one point, Tyson Griffin's a strong guy. At one point, he just put his arms up and said, "Oh, can you do something?" As Dunham was on his back trying to choke him. Dunham jumped on his back when he was on the ground. Tyson Griffin stood up with 170-pound man or 155-pound man on his back. He stood up and began walking around the ring trying to get the guy off. He eventually did a front flip to spike him on his head. That didn't work. That looked really dangerous. So, he got up again, walked over to the ref and said, "He's not procrasting his position. Can you get him off me and the rest late?" That's your responsibility. Well, it's his response. Somebody's got your back. You've got to get him off your back. He had a pretty closely choke locked in. He just done him, couldn't put Griffin out and Griffin couldn't get him off. Tyson just can't get over that cusp. He really can't, and he's a good looking fighter too, but he just never can really get that win. I mean, he's always on everybody's list as a contender, but he just never seems to get there. He just can't string it up. He's not consistent. He's kind of like a clig with a syndrome. Or a grey manard. Oh, well, well, manard wins almost all his fights. He just has... Well, not exciting. Not exciting. Griffin has the exact opposite problem. He's exciting. He's exciting, but he loses. Yeah. You know, he makes results. Dunham, on the other hand, is undefeated. So, with this win, I think he's moving up solidly from prospect to contender. Yep. So, I'm thinking Dunham is probably on the main card next. Oh, yeah. Two more wins. He's going to be looking at a title shot, in my opinion. Two more wins, yeah. I think so. Probably after Soderopolis, but I mean, you know, he's definitely, he's definitely in contention at this point. Oh, for sure. He's on the list. Mm-hmm. So, we go forward to Vancouver native, Rory McDonald, taking on Carlos Condit in the welterweight division. This is on the main card. Yeah, this is fight of the night. I found the first one a little bit boring, but the second and third one really, really picked it up. Basically, McDonald was fairly dominant through the first two rounds. A lot of counter punching and a lot of counter grappling. Whenever Condit went through a kick, McDonald would grab his leg and go for a takedown. So, McDonald looked awesome. At the end of the second round, Greg Jackson talked to his fighter, Carlos Condit, and said, "This is a war. You have to go and win this." This kind of came out on fire. Lated a hard shot that Rock McDonald took him down, got on top, and dropped elbows throughout the round. It was very, very impressive ground and pounding. It was very vicious. Like, McDonald looked like he was in trouble from about two minutes into the round. And I found it interesting that the referee stopped it. You know, the referee could have stopped that fight, you know, with one minute left. Yeah. You know, why would he have stopped at seven seconds left in the match? With McDonald picking up two 10-9s in the first two rounds, this looked like Condit was fighting for the draw, trying to get a 10-8 to even the scores. And 10-8s are rare. However, he was doing just on the Gospel enough to get the 10-8 because McDonald was bloodied and down. That's assuming these are roughly give 10-8s. That certainly is a 10-8. That's a 10-8. Don't get the wrong. But you never count on a 10-8, no matter how bad you're beating a gun. But this was one where, like, it looked like that was the kind of fight he was going for. He was trying to get the 10-8 win. I think he was trying to get the finish. Four minutes and 53 seconds. The ref stepped in and stopped it and said McDonald's draw had done enough. The crowd booed heavily. They were very, very in favor of the homeboy. And they thought that he was probably going to be able to eke out the win. Condit was classy in victory. McDonald was classy in defeat. He said it was a just stoppage because Condit was on top. McDonald's only 20 years old and he does train with GSP, so look to see him back soon. They're very, very high on him and they think the best of him. That crowd really hated this decision. They were swearing, they threw someone through a drink at Dana. Well, it was, you know, if you're going to stop the fight, why are you going to stop the fight seven seconds left? If, like, there was, there was no point where he was taking more damage at one point than another. I mean, Condit was dominating him for three full minutes. Any point of those three full minutes, you could have stopped it. Why are you going to wait until seven seconds left? I think that McDonald's had enough juice left to survive seven seconds of elbows and go for the decision. And had it been a decision, he might have picked it up depending, or it's been worse to draw. I have to disagree. His face was hamburger and they could have stopped it. You could say this should have stopped that fight at any time. Hey, you know what, seven seconds from the end? If that's the time that the rough things you should stop it, he was taking a serious beating. He looked like crap afterwards. I can't dispute it. How about just beating it either? I'm just saying it was an unfortunate time. Exactly. The timing of the crowd was very, very upset about that. And I love Jackson's talk of "Go to War" and Condit did. I love that fight. Yeah, it was a great fight. So just kind of another example of the dominance of Greg Jackson. Afterwards, he said that he was very pleased. Condit has been off for a year, but he came back and then I managed to show how tough he is and how much hard he's got. Condit has been off for a year. That's what Jackson said. Really? Probably by sure. So, well, you can already dispute Jackson. Happy year. Yeah, no, Jackson said it was a full year. It was a full year left and it's a quote afterwards. So we go forward to Ben Rothle versus Gilbert Evelle. This is in the heavyweight division. This was a hugely entertaining fight. These two guys decided to go to war. The way that Ben Rothle decided to go to war was to go for takedowns and try to lie on top of Gilbert Evelle, lying on his 270 pound frame to keep Evelle from moving him off on. Okay, this story is going to degenerate, but that first round is, I actually thought that the Develle, I thought that he was trying to keep that fight exciting. He was, he was doing the best he could with his limited ground game. Yeah. He tried to keep it exciting, but the monster that has been Rothle would not let any fun be had. Oh, no. Not at all. He felt fun to sweep him in the second round and got to top position to land some incredibly hard shots. Really, really rocked Rothle. However, Rothle managed to get back on top and throw out the third round. Evelle was tired, Rothle just kind of laid on top of him for five minutes. He had full mount, what, four times in that? He had full mount, four times. And full crucifix twice. Yeah, full crucifix. Not able to put Gilbert Evelle away from full mount. He barely even, like he landed a couple of elbows, didn't even bloody Gilbert up. I mean, there's no room for guys who get full mount and can't finish a guy. I'm sorry. There's no room for guys in the UFC like that. There's just none. I mean, I don't want to see that. Rothle, definitely didn't wish they'd finish her in this. And actually, I watched this card twice. And this is the only match in history to put me to sleep two times. So Rothle picked up a win over Steve as well as Gilbert Evelle. He defeated me. So Rothle picks up a decision win. Two humorous things I want to note here. First of all, and the entire lead up to the fight when they show, like, all the fighters giving their quotes and, you know, their highlight reels. They're showing that clicks of Gilbert Evelle kicking people in the head and crazy submissions by Carlos Condit. Ben Rothwell's highlight clip is him on a black-black ground punching the air. No footage of him. No footage of him. No exciting footage of him. No impressive footage in the UFC. Well, a lot of his dominating him was pretty exciting. No, let's just do what's for Rothle. Now, in this particular fight, not only did he have a boring fight with no highlights, in the entrance when he blocked out, he was wearing a hat. The fan reached out and stole the hat off his head. I love when that happens. So he doesn't even have highlight footage from this win either. He still looks terrible. And how sad did that fan got a trophy from Ben Rothwell? Yeah, Ben Rothwell's too, as he comes out to the Monday Night Raw entrance music. You know, he's just not impressive outing from Rothwell. One thing to note with Rothwell is, at 270 pounds and 6 foot 5, he does not look to be at all in shape or have any sort of cardio. I think all he does is work on his skills, like work on his ground game and his punches. I don't think the dude weight trains at all. If you're in the heavyweight division, you need to have a certain amount of strength. You need to be able to finish. You have to work on your fitness and not just your techniques. I respect your technique. Good work getting now. Good work getting crucifix. But you got to be strong enough to land a punch from there and win a fight. Yeah, the top of that heavyweight division is just too much. If you're having middle of that heavyweight division too much. But if you can't put away Gilbert Evel, God save you against Carlin. Yeah. God save you. He's never seen Carlin. There's no way. So going forward, we have Paula Teago versus Martin Cameron. This one went three rounds and Cameron picked up a decision win. We're a little bit disappointed for us because we all call Paula Teago. We thought he had a lot of power in this. But this is an example of a guy with a lot of power, but not a lot of striking actually. Not able to track down a guy who's a very good striker. Cameron alluded to go for the three rounds, landed a lot of leg kicks, a lot of jobs. And on the ground, he was able to achieve a couple near submissions. So Cameron picked up an impressive victory here. Looked forward to him moving back into contender status. He was out of it for a while, but he's picked up two wins. I would imagine his next fight would probably be Dan Hardy. Yeah. That sounds reasonable. I think that sounds a reason to play. I would say that this to me was... Despite Cameron's pretty impressive record, I found us real upset. It wasn't upset. He's a good striker. Considering how... He's always a powerful striker, but there's a difference between powerful and accurate. He's not a native striker. He's a native Brazilian Jiu Jitsu fighter. And he's strong enough to knock guys out when he catches them. But against an elusive kickboxer, he's not accurate enough to track the guy down and catch him. It's not like Paul Bailey. Does he just never look that slow in that? Yeah, he looked very slow. And he looked nothing like his previous fights. He was a world beater. If something comes out of the he was sick or something like that, then that wouldn't surprise me at all. It would surprise me at all. And not to take anything away from Cameron, who had a game plan and executed it very well. But Paul Oceano did not look like himself in that fight. People also, I mean, people also tend to devalue Cameron just because he got stopped by Daly. Yeah, but I mean... The wedding... The wedding... Getting stopped by Daly is not something to... It's not a disaster. It happens. You know? And I don't think Cameron should have won the fight, but I think Jago should have won the lot better. Yeah. So then we go forward to Mirko Krollkop Felipevich versus Pat Berry. A bit of an interesting one Felipevich had said before his fight that this would probably be his last fight barring an impressive victory. I was so excited going into this fight. Yeah. Countdown special with Pat Berry. David and I previewed the show last week and we were kind of hit or miss on the card. After watching that Countdown special, I wanted to see Pat Berry defeat the world. Oh yeah. What a cool dude. Yeah, he did come off really cool in that countdown special. Yeah. And I was super hyped for it and I don't know. It wasn't the best fight. I thought it was a good fight. I enjoyed it. It was quite entertaining. So I called Felipevich, I think you called Berry. Yep. I thought Berry would have won. Berry came out strong in the first round, knocked Felipevich down twice. Mirko came back with a bit of a flurry after which they hugged and the crowd cheered vociferously because they enjoyed their struggle with respect. In the second round, Felipevich managed to get Perry Berry against the cage and soften him up with a bunch of punches to the thighs and knees to slow him down. In the third round, Berry was looking gassed. Felipevich came out with a huge flurry. Got him against the cage. That was a really impressive flurry. He cracked him down, rocked him. Berry went down. Felipevich jumped on top, pounded on him. Looked over at Evil Bean. Evil Bean was not going to stop the fight base in the pounding after the huge spooling. Back to the Magdansing and for Evo. I thought it was funny that Joe Rogan said, "Oh no, Evil Bean is going to need a death in the ring to stop this fight." I was like two who don't say that. They just got to have a chat with me. Vancouver is on the cusp right now for legislation. Don't say that, really. So, Dana's got to muzzle these guys. He really does. So, Dana's learning to muzzle himself. Now he just needs to buy some more. Yeah. So, Felipevich jumped on Perry's back and locked in a choke for a rear naked choke submission at four minutes and three seconds and round three. Huge respect. He came out, said he thought he should get submission of the night, which he did. Berry was actually very happy and asked for his autograph. Felipevich went back to Crochet and said that he is a little bit too old for this and said that he might retire. However, Dana said even though Crochet's three fight contract is up, he wants Crochet back and he's going to make him an offer to get him back in the UFC to see Crochet. In the press conference, Crochet looked kind of optimistic. He gave me the impression that he would be back. You know, they want him to headline a show in Germany later this year, which would be pretty cool. There's a huge star in Europe. It's going to depend on how much money Crochet wants, I think, and his negotiating process. The first time he came into the UFC was a little bit of a hairy situation, so hopefully that doesn't happen again, and hopefully he's a little more affable when it comes to... Look what that said. You know, Crochet can go out now and say, "I'm going out on a win when the few UFC fighters do so." Or if he comes back, maybe he has it in him to make it a little bit more of a run. This UFC run, and people talk, we talk about it, everybody talks about him being all kinds of old and washed off. He's three and one for this UFC run, good work, man. And he hasn't looked horrible. He really has old, he hasn't looked horrible. I mean, everyone looks old against Junior DeSantis. He's taking some good shots, his chin's still there, he's still fast enough to catch young guys. Yeah, if you can outflurry Pat Berry, who's a fantastic boxer, then there's something there. There's a bit of work going around that they became pretty good friends leading up to this fight, 'cause Pat Berry's always idolized Crochet, and do you think he was hesitant in that fight? He might've been the first round, been hesitant, 'cause I noticed that when he knocked down Crochet, he let him get back up, and also, I think he was sort of awestruck that he took Crochet down. I don't think he was like, "Oh, I don't want to jump in this guy and finish the fight." I think it was more like, "Oh my God, I just knocked Crochet down." This is incredible. Learning experience? Yeah, definitely. I've got High Helps for Berry. He's got incredible hands and incredible feet, knockout power in both punches and kicks. His ground game is indeed horrible, but if he works on that, he's going to be an impressive strike. He told the story on the countdown special that his first three fights ended with a total of six kicks. That was all the moves he did. Yeah. I'm like, "What a cool guy." Anyway, let's go on. So we go forward to Chuck Liddell versus Rich Franklin. This was the epic struggle of Can Liddell still compete against top competition at 205. He came out looking strong, landed a couple shots at Lidd. Looking very, very trend in Liddell. He looked the best shape I've seen him in a while. Lidded a card body kick to that Franklin tried to block and ended up breaking his arm. However, Franklin kept moving back, kept making Chuck miss. Chuck was starting to breathe heavy. At the end of the first round, Chuck came forward with another while swinging and missed. Franklin countered with a right hand, landed flush on the open mouth of Liddell. When you've got an open mouth, you're breathing hard and you're walking forward. You take a punch. Liddell went out right away. Four minutes, 55 seconds. Rich Franklin picks up the win by KO. And Liddell has now retired in two consecutive fights. Yeah. Well, with this being said, Didd didn't want him back. Afterwards, the commentators, including Joe Rogan, buried him. They said, "Thanks to memories. Don't ever come back." Liddell, you know, Liddell five years ago could have taken that shot. He might have gotten knocked down, but he wouldn't have gotten knocked out. Liddell at 40, he just doesn't have the chin anymore. He can't soak the counter fire the way he needs to because he's such a wild striker. They did a good job of promoting him, but I mean, at the end of the day, I mean, a lot of people I think knew that Franklin was probably going to take this and those would be Liddell's. I had hopes too. I just wasn't there. I had hopes too, but I didn't think it would end that quick. I thought that Liddell would baby gas because it is age. Second, third round in Franklin would gradually take control. But the knockout, you know, that's the way it goes. Franklin, if Liddell hadn't been so wild, he might have picked up the win. With the broken arms, it could be hard for Franklin to answer the bell. But, you know, Liddell went crazy. He tried to go out like Iceman and unfortunately cost him. So, Franklin picks up the knockout of the night and that is all for UFC 115. Yeah, if Franklin would be out for a little while because of his broken arm. It's probably six months now. Hey, this camera is inevitable. Did he drop a complaint with the broken arms, so maybe Franklin can fight with one. And, yeah, so this week, Chill Simon cut the greatest promo I've seen in a long time. Yeah, go on to YouTube, check this out. Tim Rippin on Anderson Silva, on an O'Gara brother saying that a black belt from them means nothing. One of them is a punching bag, the other one is irrelevant. The entire nation of Brazil is pretty awesome. It's pretty awesome. It says that Brazil is not bound in culture. If you're bound in Brazil, it's going to hit you with a bad head and it takes your wallet. This was kind of a funny promo, but I actually was getting a little bit annoyed because there was a lot of racist overtones there. You know, he made a point of pointing out that a black belt means nothing and he emphasized the word black but like five different times. I think he's taking this and running with it, I think, a little too far. You know, he's definitely trying to make himself a villain for this. He's doing a good job. The problem with making yourself the villain against Anderson Silva is you've got to end up fighting Anderson Silva. So, and Rampage may be fighting for a while because there's probably not going to be an A-Team sequel. The movie kind of got killed this week by the karate kid, which did double. So, they're made up with Will Smith's kid. Oh, it destroyed A-Team. So, we may see some more Rampage fights, which is good for us. Yeah, it's great. Yeah, Brock Lesnar and his attorney were in Las Vegas arguing because Steve Mazagotti has been assigned as the referee. You're kidding. Or his title fight. But hold on. They had UFC executives in there and everything and they wound up getting it switched. Oh, yeah. That's ridiculous. Then the quick story is that Lesnar hates Mazagotti because of the early stoppage. With Frank Mary, with the first fight. Actually the late stoppage. No, the late stoppage. And the point that he took away for no reason. Yep. So, Lesnar was not happy. Some people think he dislikes Mazagotti more than anyone in the UFC. I would agree. And it was opponents, more than Frank Mary. Certainly how soon it ships to hate Mazagotti. A lot of the hatred in the mirror, Lesnar, comes from mirror to Lesnar because Lesnar's already dominated mirror. So, he doesn't have anything to prove. So, it looks like John Rosenthal will be referencing the fight not Mazagotti, which is good for Lesnar and kind of good for us because I don't like Mazagotti either. It would be fun to see Lesnar. It would be a surprise. And your referee, Steve Mazagotti, he just comes out. And Lesnar's like, "What?" Throws a bit. And Carm is like, "Calm down, man. Calm down." Then he becomes friends. And then, Shogan Rua, he underwent knee surgery last week. He'll be out for a while, which leaves Lesnar. That's a shame. He was injured before he went into the title. Yeah, yeah, yeah. It's needed to be done. They're moving the versus two show, the UFC versus two show, from Salt Lake City, San Diego because there were no ticket sales. Very strange. I don't find it that strange. It's Utah. I mean, I can't see Utah being the big hotbed of UFC. I've never been to Utah. I don't know. There might be a lot of UFC fans there, but it doesn't surprise me that Utah didn't sell out. And WBC made it official that their show in August is Dominic Cruz versus Joseph Benavides. And Ryan Faber is dropping to 135, putting on that card. All right, right on. So, yeah. That sounds pretty cool. And speaking of WBC, we've got a couple of cards coming up this weekend. Yeah, well, I'm just going to talk a little bit about the WBC 49 card. Basically, we've got the guys on this that I'd say are notable. We've got Condar Badiance fighting on it. Chris Hordachke is fighting on it. He's coming off. He's coming off. Yeah. Yeah. He's coming off. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. He's coming off. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Elsie Davis is on here, so that'll be interesting. He's good to watch. I want to talk about my favorite fighter in the WBC. And, uh, if I had enough fighter, then I'd fight it the year candidate. So, I mean, this is, this is going to be something else. Kamal Shalarus is always entertaining and awesome. Now, this, this isn't a star studded WBC card, relatively speaking for WBC, but it looks like it'll be a good one. It's, they're all good. Shalarus is a former silver medalist wrestler, and he's also an extremely good boxer. Oh, yeah. He's striking. He likes to stand and just bang away. Oh, there are bad WBCs. Oh, there are bad WBCs. It is going to lie to him, so expect this one to be a war. Yeah. The word is that the winner of this is going to be taking on Ben Henderson for the lightweight title. Yeah. That makes sense. So, it'd be a rematch for Varna, I think, wouldn't it? It would be a rematch for Varna and... Shalarus is the first time for Shalarus. Shalarus is a bit old, so I don't know how long he's, he's got to go, but I love watching Shalarus, and I hope he fights for a long time, and I hope he wins. And I hope he wins. Let's see Shalarus Henderson. So, that is a Sunday? That's a Sunday at 20. And this Saturday we have the Ultimate Fighter Finale card on Spike TV. So, the prelim card will be James McSweeney, the alumni of the heavyweight division, taking on Travis Brown, who is a boxer making his UFC debut. From the season on the prelim card, we have James Hamortree taking on Chris Komozi, Kyle Noke taking on Josh Bryant, and Brad Tavares taking on Seth Basinci. All of those will be interesting fights if you've watched the season. Then on the main card, we have striker Jamie Yeager taking on Russell Rich Antinito. This one is interesting because they have high hopes for Yeager, but Antinito is a wrestler, so his style does not match up well against Yeager. Yeager is also the big character from the show too. He's like kind of the junior of the show. Yeah. He's junior light. Spencer King Fisher makes his return to take on Dennis Seaver, the German striker. I like watching Seaver. That'll be fun. This is going to be an interesting one. Seaver is a good striker, but Spencer is a good ground game guy. So, if he can take Fisher down or Seaver down, he'll be able to win. But look for Seaver to go for his patented spinning back kick. He's also looking to advance the loss from Pearson as well. He's probably hungry. Chris Lieben is coming back to fight Aaron Simpson. Lieben's looked spotty since his steroid suspension in 2008. He's 1-2. However, Aaron Simpson is a 7-0 wrestler with a lot of KO's. He's coming off a split decision with Tom Waller and they're high on him. He looks like a middleweight prospect. So, if he picks up an impressive win over Lieben, look for him to go places. Then the winners of the season, Court McGee takes on Chris McCray. This is a stand-in-bang war. Both of these guys are strikers. Both of these guys are clinch fighters. They are going to fight it out for three rounds in my opinion. Both of these guys have lost during the season. Both of them have lost multiple times. Yeah, no multiple times. But, you know, I don't know. Something about the finalists, both getting a wildcard, both losing once. I mean, this is not the least interesting. Sit-by-fighter tournament. Bit anticlimactic. Yeah. I don't. I'm not a fan of the season. I really wasn't. It wasn't the most entertaining season. Now, with that being said, they're both coming off of losses. But McCray looks much, much improved. His striking is okay, but his clinch game is phenomenal. He's really, really powerful in the clinch. Court McGee is an absolute brawler. He's got a rock-hard chin, and he's able to take some good punches. Now, the two favorites of this season were Kyle Noke and Brattaveras. These guys managed to upset those guys and put them out. McCray was also a favorite, too. He got injured. Yes, and he's out within the injury. So, these guys are going to put on a show. They're going to fight. This is going to be an exciting one, because they're not skilled enough to put each other away, but they're tough enough that they're not there. They're going to give it a shot. So, look for them to stay in and trade for three rounds. And then we go to the main event, the light heavyweight bout between Matt Hamill versus Keith, the dean of Mean Jardine. Hamill's returning from the bone yard massacre. So, he's basically going to put back together. Yeah, his face, his shoulder, his soul. So, in his last fight, Deaf, Ultimate Fighter alumni, Matt Hamill was almost murdered by John Rose Jones. But he got the win by DQ. He survived. He got the win by DQ. Keith Jardine has been trying to shake off his reputation as a gatekeeper. He has not looked impressive in his last couple outings. Bader smoked him. Bader smoked him. He's also had issues against, you know, Liddell, Jackson. Did this mythical gate actually has a picture of Keith Jardine painted on it? Yeah. So, you know, Jardine is looking to prove that he actually is something in the lightweight heavyweight division. What's your call for this match? I'm going to go with Hamill. I think I'm going to go with Hamill because he says he's a great wrestler. I mean, I don't know how good he's going to feel after bones. If he's recovered fully, then I'd like Hamill in this fight. You know what? I'm going to go right out of left field here. I don't think anyone expects it. Jardine by KO. Yeah. Because it's got to happen once in a little bit. Jardine is such an unorthodox striker and Hamill is -- he's known to have low hands on strikes. I think he's caught. This is true. Hamill is going to go for a shot. I think Jardine can time him. And I don't like rooting against Greg Jackson's gym because they almost always win. Jardine would be a exception. I'm going to have to go with Steve. I think Jardine picks this one up, but I think it'll be a slugfest as well. All right. So, it looks like we got a lot of cards to talk about next week. So, keep subscribing to the Show on iTunes and go to the Hammer. That's H-A-M-M-A-R dot com. And that's it. Take it easy, guys. Have a good week.
