Settle into a comfortable position and allow yourself to relax.
Take a deep breath…
And release.
PAUSE…
For the next few moments, just focus on your breath and clear your mind of any lingering worries.
Take notice when you are breathing in…and breathing out.
PAUSE…
Let yourself become aware of the sensations of your breathing.
LONG PAUSE…
Gently bring to mind someone with whom you are close,
Someone who you love.
PAUSE…
Notice how this love feels in your heart.
Notice the sensations it brings up.
Perhaps a sensation of warmth envelopes you,
Or a state of openness and tenderness circles around you.
PAUSE…
Continue breathing slowly in and out.
Focus on these sensations and feelings around your heart as you visualize your loved one.
PAUSE…
As you breathe out, imagine an extension of warm, white light from your heart to theirs.
Imagine this white light reaching out to your loved one, bringing them love and peace.
PAUSE…
Upon each inbreath, and outbreath
May you extend these words of empathy and love from your heart.
May you have peace.
May you be free from suffering.
May you experience ease and happiness.
PAUSE…
May you have joy.
May you be free from anguish and fear.
May you experience comfort and delight.
