all right everybody welcome to be yo boys for sunday december twenty ninth bucket it's a raw feed we're doing it live on clinton young pat we're back late in the last broadcast of twenty twenty four uh... we're all about survive till twenty twenty five or almost there we're gonna i think it's safe to say we will survive till twenty twenty five both the theatrical industry and the beo boys or do you feel like these last couple of days you may perish before twenty five i'd rather not jinx it okay all right you know what i'm gonna i am going to jinx it for myself i have survived so twenty twenty five there said it and if it doesn't happen boom it'll be even bigger news story because i jinxed it so there you go uh... we're gonna get into it now we got results for the three days for the five days for the first uh... five days of the of the holiday corridor that is what this time years call that is called the holiday corridor clinton could you give us a plow for the box office weekend of christmas twenty twenty four number one sonic the hedgehog made thirty eight million dollars down thirty seven percent it added eight theaters it's at a hundred thirty six point eight million dollars in its second weekend release number two move fasa the lion king made thirty seven point one million dollars plus five percent it lost no theaters it's at one thirteen point four million in its second weekend number three a newbie nasa ratu made twenty one point one million dollars in its first weekend release number four wicked made nineteen point four million dollars up thirty seven percent it lost a hundred nineteen theaters it's at four hundred and twenty four point two million dollars in its sixth weekend of release number five mwanda to made eighteen point two million dollars plus thirty eight percent it lost a hundred ninety theaters it's at three hundred and ninety four point six million dollars in its fifth weekend release and then to newbies we had a complete unknown made eleven point six million dollars in its first frame and eight twenty fours baby girl made four point three million dollars in its first frame and that's your lucky number eleven all right so i i think you'd you ranked it here using the numbers ranking based on the uh... the three-day weekends over at deadline on the sunday right through anthony d is for i guess dracula let's say this weekend d lisandro he was ranking them by the five days so in the deadline ranking he has uh... uh... mufasa up at the top uh... there so we're once again we've got this battle for number one and i guess we have to go to the three day because that is what how rate weekend rankings are done uh... but mufasa does now have a claim to the throne of being number one because mufasa in the five day did sixty three million dollars worth sonic in the five-day did fifty nine million dollars do you do you have any or are you one team of faucet here for number one or do you think sonic should be declared number one because he won the three day well it's a three-day that counts i mean if we're looking at it i mean it's the three-day that counts i think for for what the ranking is that's how we've always done it uh... but i mean it was a nice rebound by mufasa i mean by no means is this i mean it's not a disaster but this definitely still doesn't bode well for this movie in the long run comparatively you know i mean it's not good i don't think this is the greatest showman situation i think what came to pass was could be a person who's last wish now i mean i think what i mean because because the budget so much different here again in this was supposed to be a billion-dollar baby yes and it's not going to be that and that's the problem here and this was the consensus feels like inoffensive pick there is a lot of children and guardians and parents and uncles and and board at mufasa this weekend so that's great for theaters in the sense that the money was made but i don't see mufasa becoming any sort of phenomena on the way wicked has become or even mohanna to which i don't think one of two is a phenomenon i think that's just like eight-decent movie that people were excited for and went to see i mean mufasa is no wicked mufasa is no wicked uh... it could have wanted to be well you want it to be wicked well it's lying king you know it's the third theatrical lying king movie they wanted this to be gigantic this movie made fifty nine million and it's five-day weekend or sixty three million it's five-day weekend that's what they would have wanted the opening three-day weekend to be i mean let's let's let's face it let's face it it's a rebound it's a good hold that mufasa didn't collapse this is what you would have wanted easily for the opening three days and and the fact that now we're supposed to celebrate mufasa and per there are parades for mufasa because in its second five-day it did what it should have done in the original three-day i mean come on uh... we we we can't do that here that's not how we close out are twenty twenty four by by this fall celebration for mufasa and i think sixty three point seven is a disappointment in a three-day opening weekend for this movie truly truly yes yes so it it obviously there was a nightmare scenario where the public would have fully rejected mufasa and and this movie would have dropped and played to empty auditoriums around the country that didn't happen it's second three-day weekend did a five percent increase over what it opened from it opened so much lower than it should have ever ever dream to open and and so you we've got to temper these parades for mufasa there's a lot of football bowl games happening the next week a lot of parades are going to happen around different small towns in america let's not clutter the parade uh... industry by throwing parades for mufasa right now and i think there's a lot of talk i mean you even mention this that mufasa might end up doing seventy over this five-day like some really high estimates here and i think it came back down too in a way where it's like yeah okay this is just going to be a movie that does fine yeah and it's it's a movie that was built for this time of year because this is the time of year when family who don't have much to say to each other and who oftentimes are only seeing each other once or twice a year are now forced to be in homes vacation homes airbnb's together and they need to something inoffensive non-political all ages to drag themselves to so they could stop making small talk and mufasa is the perfect type of movie for that everyone is heard of these line kings could take the kid to it they could take the uncle to it uh... so it's a and it's got the marketing push where everyone's aware of it so it was had to do some amount of money but that this is not going to be a phenomenon it is not let's talk sonic though because you know this is something we haven't brought up in this sonic news cycle long-time listeners long-time want to be a boys want to be a girls want to be oh people people who've been with us since the beginning they remember us talking when that first sonic came out we all and anthony d_s_ for disney d_l_ isandro he wouldn't dare say this we call that at the time one of bob eigers biggest mistakes in his time at disney was that you did not with the biggest regret i mean he didn't put this in the in the memoir maybe because he's saving it to be the focus of his follow-up memoir that is biggest regret was he didn't buy the sonic i_p_ and paramount owns the i_p_ to sonic disney they bought star wars they bought marvel they did not buy sonic they bought the muppets they bought the muppets they chose instance they chose the i'd say you know as if this is good for streaming it's good and they date listen when is the simpson's movie to coming out because at first one is a forgotten block buster mmm and big-screen let's see lisa simpson when i've had people pay to see that uh... but yes the muppets i mean this day and age why are you buying animal and fuzzy bear over sonic and shadow it makes no sense and disney could have had sonic they don't have sonic and this is one of those weekends where bob eiger he's eating that christmas ham but it's got to have a bitter taste in his mouth knowing that this sonic the hedgehog who he could have owned he could have owned this guy is is running circles around the fasa and do you do you think that this room bob eiger's christmas i think so i think of it was any other sort of situation he he'd be like okay well you know we sort of new mufasa was weak but i think this is i think this is a a harder pill to swallow right right right that it's if it was just wicked was a was the thing that that was beat mufasa he could have lived with that because i mean that was a revoirs he he's made money on was a revoir's i_p_ in the past they did the uh... sam ramey was a revoirs was a disney production they've they've had a taste of ours mhm but so he could have accepted if that was the movie that was beat mufasa number one in the three day but the fact that it's sonic that it's it's it's it's the one that got away you know that's a thing would be it it's as if you're your acts who who you didn't put the ring on it you know is talking about uh... big football halftime shows put a ring on it and bob i think i don't know if she did was saying songs cowboy song cowboy songs of lessons uh... but but everyone knows that's the song of the one who got away put a ring on it and bob i did not put a ring on sonic and his ex is making his new girlfriend mufasa look like a bozo mm-hmm that's got a that's got a sting do you think that bob i guess kids and grandkids and step-grandkids and you know uh... kids who he pretends not to know about who are all at christmas times together this time year do you think those kids are given bob i think are a hard time about why didn't you buy sonic grandpa pot why did you buy mufasa instead i mean uh... i don't know i think he's the guy who buys the best presence and keeps them all uh... you know viable and in health care so i don't think they're i i think i don't think they're given him any sort of golf you know you don't think you don't think i goes great grandkids and and great grandkids who he's not allowed to talk about perhaps there they're just by me about i won't mention that you didn't want that you didn't that you screwed the pooch on sonic i think it's more along that that way i mean that's how rich kids are they just like suckle at the tea well i'm gonna throw this out here clinton cuz i'm sure these these bob i get grandkids all of these industry grandkids entertainment industry grandkids they listen to the bill boys of course i get it if you don't want a christmas morning grandpa pot i guess just given you a boat or you know what drone or you know what diamond coat whatever you don't want to say to his face but email us the bill boy's podcast if you are one of bob i guess uh... heirs and and you want to flow of some steam about how he screwed the pooch on not getting sonic into disney email us anonymously don't use your at grandkid of bob i got dot com email address use a different email address and and we will air your grievances here on the show uh... and we won't we won't let it get back to bob so he'll still buy you your drones by you you are ruby hats whatever it is that these kids are into uh... do we want to talk not for our two we we have to because i think that the discussion here is is drach back or is this an attack on drach because knows for our two it could we safely say this is a huge opening weekend we're not well twenty one point one in in the three day and forty point three in the five day so yeah that's that's good you know uh... yeah so fourth best opening for a focus feature mm-hmm right under london has fallen which is great i for some reason was still thinking uh... i just i was just like not to use a twenty four but it's not i kept thinking that and uh... but yet this this movie i mean this is like a a really good opening for movie of this type especially around this type of you this time of year and yet it really sort of capitalized on its buzz in a in a really positive way yeah it's uh... it's it's a huge win for the director robert augers because i mean he's had hits on a certain level 'cause you would i would say the witch and the lighthouse are definite eight twenty four level hits where they're you know i think the witch probably made around twenty the lighthouse may twenty five is off the top of the dome but i'm probably right like made in that level of low budgets the north man is definitely not ahead it was a p_v_o_d_ money maker but theatrically underperformed for its budget this is a huge hit this is a movie that makes a director uh... puts him in a position to level up on their next movie uh... so as a hit for actors but clean is this a hit for dracula as draculous had a rough time we've given draculata guff if you went to the beo boys live tour when we did the fallen box office stars twenty twenty four dracula's up there rent field uh... last boy to the demean our dracula has been a box office bozo for years now and does this mean that dracula's a character is back because he's not dracula he is a vampire knows for a two is a different guy than dracula do you think people went to this movie thinking let's go see the dracula movie well and just quickly which may twenty five light house only made ten and then northman made thirty four but the northman budget was way way higher than what he was working with on the witch in the lighthouse yeah so this is a great rebound i mean i think for all intents and purposes people refer to not for our two is dracula the way you refer to tissues as clean x so i do think that this is just a dracula movie when we say dracula we mean vampire movies you mean uh... so yeah even like john carpenters vampires that's dracula it's a dracula it's a dracula yeah cuz i do think dracula shows up in it may be possibly but yeah so i think people were like let's see the dracula movie with johnnie step's daughter in it yeah i mean this is one of those movies where it's like what does this mean for the people in it too is this just the fact that it was robert agers is that is it was that really why people went to see this movie right yeah what is because this this over performed i would say everyone's expectations people are not looking for a forty million dollar opening for this movie it this is this is pretty big what is the reason for it to overperform to that level is it just people needed some horror it had been a while so what's the last big horror hit is it smile to and terra fire three have we not had november horror right november is mawanna is wicked so we might not have had horror in a while is this is a case of the gore hounds needed to be fed or is there a star or or or something specific that made this open to this is such an over performance yes so it was the eighteen to thirty four-year-olds came at fifty six percent so that's a pretty high number for youngsters so i feel like that is uh... because of okay you know more than really rose down i think so although she does have her fans interestingly enough uh... but not in our age demo for sure right i mean she had because of what is she uh... what is she most famous for she's not a euphoria cast member right uh... no she was in a she was in that she was in the show that weekend the weekend yeah yet so he was in the show with the weekend quickly here's why people went to see this movie not for our two from post-track horror genre forty-eight percent director robert agers thirty two uh... thirty three percent thought the monster and babe feature looked fun and entertaining so a lot of walk-up business year fifty nine percent as well so yeah so i think that shows you that it is the fact that there was a audience star for horror there's an audience that likes robert agers i don't see anything about lily rose deppin here okay okay so this is not a case of so you don't think that this is yoga hoser's fans coming out in force to to finally support the co-star of yoga hoser's if that's the if that's the facts there's not enough uh... people to really make it statistically significant okay mention i mean what would you say that percentage would be five percent of you could be five percent it could be five percent of fans who came out because they wanted more yoga hoser's related content if you had switched in nose for achu instead of lily rose depp the same character was played by her yoga hoser's co-star holly quince myth do you think that affects the box office at all uh... i'd that's a great question i do think that people trust robert agers so they would assume that he saw something in her performance in that movie to cast her but i would have to say there probably would be a drop-off uh... because as much as lily rose depp is not a marquee star i do think she has a certain appeal that may be hardly quinton smith lacks okay okay um... so the so on that level it's not really uh... it's this isn't something you could chalk up to lily rose depp but this will probably help her for sure uh... for sure this is this is this is a big thing for when she books her next movie uh... what about errand taylor johnson so errand taylor johnson craven hunter he's been the whipping boy on the show and around hollywood reportedly craven the hunters tanking the so bad that it has affected him as the guy who's had the poll positions to be the next bond does being a nose for our two help him at all um... i've got i've got my opinion i want i want to get yours is this a win for him does this help him get the uh... license to kill back on track uh... i mean if anything it puts him it helps a little bit but he's still in a really terrible position i think uh... because i don't think he's the he's not the lead in this and i know there's a lot of buzz online about his package or whatever you want to say but i think that you show the package is that now we're looking at the it's just people who have nothing better to do than to look at the package like i mean i i think like we say tweeter tweets aren't ticks and and dicks aren't ticks either uh... truly so i don't think that that matters at all so uh... yeah i i think this might this by no means rights the ship but i think this is something that is positive but i think the real test is going to be does he tank twenty eight years later well we saw the trailer for that because you and i and we'll talk about this movie in a minute we we saw a complete unknown together in theaters and that was one of the trailers uh... was the twenty eight years later danny boil sequel and amazing trailer i mean the trailer looks great so excited for this movie it definitely doesn't uh... position errand taylor johnson as that star you know you see flashes of him walking around a field so you know he's in it but honestly the bigger star in that trailer is people guessing whether or not that's killing murphy popping up as a zombie corpse for uh... two frames like yet if that movie opens to fifty million dollars i think you give killing murphy more credit for it than errand taylor johnson uh... yeah so we'll see what that movie does form yet i don't think this is anything for him he he was not pushed in the advertising for us brought to uh... you hear way more about lily rose definite you hear way more about the director i mean we got boots on the ground reporting from uh... uh... close member of the bio boy show and this was what she said about nos feratu uh... was said is very long and kind of gross but i liked it great and then she says also errand taylor johnson is short and has a high-pitched we need voice thumbs down on him so while i won't say exactly who this was because that is a very pointed criticism of errand taylor johnson and you know this person who knows she he she won't give this away may want to work with errand taylor johnson someday on some kind of web series or game show or something when he falls into you know when he's at that level so uh... won't won't say their name but what do you think of that pretty short and we need voice i mean if people are coming away from nos feratu thinking he's short as a we need voice does that help him as bond now that's never been the way anybody has described bond ever mhm like when they described bond you know the villains are talking about him or we haven't seen him yet in my character is talking about how cool james bond is they never say short we need voice where's the tuxedo right right you know great with women right right that's great poker player but has a we need voice yeah in a short you don't hear that yeah uh... and you don't think that that the package helps and again we haven't seen this yet i have not seen this package but if there's talk about someone's package that usually is a positive right i mean you think about far that was a huge uh... you know uh... part of his career uh... you don't think that the talk about the package helps our entire johnson uh... uh... i i i think it's i actually think that we were uh... he's five eleven by the way are in taylor johnson so maybe he just comes office short uh... which is bad because five eleven is fairly average height so uh... yeah i would say on the taylor and of people yeah of average yeah i i i'm i'm starting to think that tweets was fake but i feel like that we was put there by his people mmm yeah is put there by his people to try to drum up interest in his package right and i mean it really hasn't gotten any traction yeah i i haven't heard much about it i'm slightly aware of it but it hasn't it hasn't been brought up at the christmas dinner table yeah and and i feel like uh... that that's one of the easiest places to stuff yes you know i mean yes famously yes you get a cucumber or you know uh... uh... a couple of yams or whatever yeah you could it's all you need is you some cheap food yeah i'm i mean look here i'm drinking a water bottle you show but that's a short yeah put that on my shorts and then boom the internet is going wild about be a package is so mm-hmm yeah yeah so i think that's a doctor package yeah unless you show it then i i just don't think there's any anything to really talk about what about nicolas halt because our our boots on the ground reporter then says doesn't help to put him next to six three nicolas halt uh... isn't i think nicolas halt to someone who could gain something from this because he's someone who i do think people are more apt to want to like and want to uh... you know not blame him when things go wrong and give him credit when things go right i feel like he's just got that sort of you know when uh... when his other dracula movie this is second track in the movie of the year nicolas halt because he was in uh... uh... uh... uh... a rent feel i guess run feel was the last year yeah river was last year i feel like uh... yeah run feels twenty twenty three when run field came out and and pretty much bombs people weren't like all right let's you know put a stake through nicolas halt's heart to send it people are now he's a nice guy hill he should be in in pictures more so i think he's gonna get a lot of positive uh... buzzed out of no spheratu doing well because i think people just want to like him mmm-hmm but i mean is it is it it doesn't feel like he's the the guy in the movie that you're going to see this movie for i mean that's that that's the thing i'm coming out of nasa ratu with is like when you look at something like a complete unknown there's two things that people are seeing this movie for bob dylan yep and timothy shalomay yeah and they're not saying that about not spheratu they're saying dracula yep uh... or horror in general and they're saying robert agers there and that's the thing is like nicolas halt's not being talked about lily that's not being talked about errand taylor johnson's johnson's not being talked about so when you're talking about what is going to what is a star driven hit what is going to help somebody's stock even more you look at something like a complete unknown yes that that's the sort of thing that if timothy shalomay is not the bob dylan this movie does yes like erin taylor johnson if erin taylor johnson is dylan this movie does negative money errand taylor johnson as bob dylan would do worse then a digitized monkey as bob dylan i think if you are going to cast errand taylor johnson is bob dylan you better off going the robbie william's better than route and digitizing a monkey to play it yeah uh... and of course both of those versions would do terribly uh... whereas the shalomay of those three you know to play bob dylan i would go worst choice is errand taylor johnson second worst choice is a digital monkey a la rob robbie william's movie best choices of course what we did get which is timothy shalomay if you agree with that ranking yes i think that's the ranking and i think it's uh... crazy uh... to rank at any other way yes yes uh... so it made twenty three million in the five day it made wouldn't make in the three-day thirteen eleven eleven point six it looks like eleven point six so that is a that is a lot of money on uh... christmas day and the day after christmas i mean twenty three million in the five day for remote number this is a fox searchlight release you know we've got a lot of sort of press because uh... shalomay did such a great job of being everywhere promoting it but this is in the end a smaller release you know especially when it's up against wicked and mawanna to and mufasa and sonic and you know even those for these are bigger movies so i i i a while ago i think i throughout the let's get nuts prediction of a does thirty million in the five day so i'm pretty happy with it coming as close as it did to that number because that would have been a totally bananas five days this movie i've got to thirty million yet and i think there's a level of weird we're not really talking about baby girl cuz it did very little and i do think it's not gonna do it's not gonna break out from what i'm hearing about this movie it's a fun little trifle but it's not good it's not quality enough to be eight big hit and it's not horny enough that's why i've heard it's not horny enough yet to be uh... a breakout hit as well so it's in this weird middle thing but uh... yeah so like i think that was you know not for our two and baby girl was sort of the young person's choice this weekend mmm and i think complete unknown is gonna be the choice for next weekend like i do think this is a movie that's getting good word of mouth tenies everywhere and i do think like we've seen movies don't necessarily unless they're complete in total bombs that are front loaded this movie it i don't think is going to completely tank next weekend i don't think everybody who's wanted to see this movie has seen this movie yet yes i i have a crowded we have a crowded landscape i mean just look at what we have in theaters right now sonic mufasa nosferatu wicked mohanna a complete unknown baby girl gladiator to still kind of kick in so i mean that's so many different sort of movies to choose from and people are have their priority list yes yeah i think this is a great start for this movie to ready up twenty three in change in the bank and it i'd definitely think this is a movie that is going to have a great member the christmas corridor is not over you know we're recording this on a sunday and those people have to go back to work on the monday but for the most part lot of people are off either this entire week or at least through wednesday kids for the most part are off all week so the christmas corridor goes for another seven days i would say it's it's monday through next weekend is your christmas corridor and i think every day complete unknown is still gonna rake a couple of million it's gonna have a big weekend next weekend or at least a good hold it's also just going to be a movie that if the studio doesn't and this this is the nightmare scenario doesn't put it on p_v_o_d_ and doesn't put it on streaming in the next month it is absolutely a movie that is going to be pretty steady because we got the golden globes happening uh... next sunday and i think timmy's when in that best actor trophy i think he's when in that and it's a little comedy i think he's in the drama category but we'll we'll talk about that we could we should do an episode next weekend talking about the globes but there's a good chance he wins there the oscar nom nom noms are happening in a few weeks he's getting the best actor nom nom nom this movie's getting the best picture nom nom nom this is a movie that easily could make another thirty or forty million dollars in the next month or so easily so this is a great start world this is the kind of start that puts a sixty million dollar domestic take on the table mhm it's on the table with this movie uh... so are we saying huge win for now for timmy or are we are i i sent a a message was messaging to the great podcast jesus kirk minahan was going over some christmas corridor releases and i said i just watch a couple in unknown we've got a new movie star in our hands do you think that i jump the gun on that message saying that which all the way we got a new movie star in our hands we already designated him as a movie star okay previous to this with dune and with one walk okay the lawyer test and and i think we should really give this another round when we have kirk on which will happen in the next few weeks uh... coming off of this were obviously dylan is i_p_ he's playing a major historical figure i do think i hit like this puts him closer to being able to headline a movie in which he plays a lawyer uh... your closer with this movie than you are with wonka yeah i mean i just think at this point where you know i i love the lawyer test as much as anybody else but we also live in a different land landscape uh... and so he is what a star is now mmm-hmm he just is and i think uh... yeah this definitely helps i mean i i i will say though i mean we'll see how this movie does going down the line that's really going to be the test this was really really really good opening it's not it's not blowing anybody away i think it's a surprise it did at the top of what people thought it could do other than you you know go more thirty or whatever but i think it's really going to be what are the legs on this you know he gets it in sixty i agree i think this is like a huge win for him but i do think he's all he already was you would say is a star in twenty twenty four yeah i think what's big for him and you know we both saw this is that this is the movie in which he get he got to play uh... with the kids call a fuck boy and they spell it with a i instead of a why and they love it and that's great this is the first time he got to play that in a huge movie you know he sort of played uh... a quote unquote fuck boy in uh... uh... lady bird and you know i guess call me by your name maybe that's what you would say that he played that or but i think it is a boy well maybe it wasn't a problem so he finally got to be because he definitely didn't play that in wanka and didn't play that in the dune movies i guess like did that i haven't read the books but i i feel like the sequel dune messiah dune three maybe he's a fuck boy in that he got to play that for sure as bob dylan and this is the type of movie that is going to you know that the young women and young men were ready uh... you know very curious about him very into him i think this is the movie where he totally wins that audience over mm-hmm uh... you know obviously there's a not titanic of course of course but it's the same type of performance that leo gave in that that he gets to give in this movie that really get the young people into you oh i mean that's pretty hyperbolic to say that this is the same sort of performance as a titanic performance uh... i mean he's i mean role role obviously of course of course not but but i'm saying that the the things that people like about you in that role you know where he gets to be uh... uh... the heartthrob in a way again that he doesn't get to be in wanka yeah yeah i mean it's really funny to think of bob dylan as a heartthrob but at some point he was bob dylan huge win for him would we would we say that because a oh yeah uh... a spotty movie career you know movies he's written other movies where they portray dylan this is his first first hit on film yeah everything else has been intentionally well i think everything else has been like unintelligible it intentionally yeah and this is the first movie that is tried to actually tell the dylan story in like a legitimate narrative uh... next to like inside lou and davis which was obviously like trying to be dylan what i mean but also was not commercial at all uh... but it was a narrative that people could understand yes yes uh... do we think this is a franchise you know because the way this is not a cradle to grave movie uh... and obviously dylan's not in the grave yet but he will be and you could have done a movie where you just imagine what his death would be like but this was not that this was here's five years of dylan rides into town rides out of town very very easily setting you up for sequels could you see and gold and timmy going back doing a bob dylan in the seventies movie and i think i know the thing you wanted do they do a two-hour movie around the soy bomb incident i mean if you're talking soy bomb that is the fourth movie okay okay cuz that would be nineties dylan yeah yeah so i mean yeah if they did sixes they do seventies they have to do eighties eighties would be a tough one to get through uh... because you know he goes all christian so that'd be an interesting that would be an interesting one it could kill the franchise before it could be a toy bomb but it's a church bus movie so could be the biggest one of all yeah i mean if you get the guy who did the chosen and the greatest christmas pageant ever to you know i think you do revolving directors with this the way they did mission impossible before it became uh... you know uh... all the same people i think that's interesting way to do it right so the eighties dylan movies directed by the guy who created the chosen uh... the the one issue with that and i think i totally agree that's a great way to go is could he then because this is a guy greatest christmas pageant ever did well would he force the noxious presence at his pete homes to be in the eighties dylan movie that he directs the church bus version of dylan would he force that upon us uh... uh... you know i mean i don't think i don't necessarily think that he's in there um... likes i don't think he's necessarily in the stable of actors the way like you know all men had a stable of actors so i i don't think that we have to worry about seeing pete homes in in the in the dylan movie directed by the chosen guy okay okay so he's not he's not the uh... Elliot gold to altman uh... you're saying no i don't believe so okay i mean if it had if he's in the if he's in the next movie because that that eighties dylan movie and coming out for a long time uh... if if pete homes in the next movie then i can change my my tune but but right now i feel like yeah or if he's just starved you know the chosen season four uh... so i i would love to see that i think yeah modern movie stardom is often based on having your franchises and chalomay is done such a great job if he hasn't had to do the superhero movies so his franchises are you know he could do another walk a movie obviously there'll be a third dune at some point dylan could be his other franchise yeah i mean i mean leo told chalomay not to do superhero movies yeah yeah and he was smart to tell tell him that um so chris evans he never had that sit down with leo no of uh cuz leo would have at least all okay you did the superhero movies but don't go back don't don't go back for avengers doomsday leo would have said that or leo probably would have no idea what any of those words mean right do you think leo knows what doomsday is uh... uh probably not right i mean he would know he would think of it it's a it's a climate catastrophe but it's in terms of it being a movie that's scheduled to come out in six years he wouldn't know that well doomsday i think is known by the women who date leo and that is the day they turn 26 that is doomsday that's the only doomsday he knows is that he'll say i do like you but doomsday is coming up and they know what it means they they gather their their you know um their care package and you know they're bought their um their beats headphones that yes he they always get a pair of them yeah and uh they leave the yacht yes yes and it's all above lord and understood yes and it's on international waters and everyone signed the the contract and they got there again they get their beats by dray uh yeah uh headphones and you know you could endless and honestly grab whatever you could fit into a bag before you jump off the yacht he's fine with that he's fine with that so so there is a chance that leo told crossovens to avoid doomsday but he meant yeah he meant 26th birthday um yep chalomay he's making all the right moves 23 million is a great start i do think the next week's gonna tell a lot of the story and then it's got to do well through january because i mean we did the winter preview with jeff bock exhibit relations co january is a bit dry deneth the eaves or some movies coming up but complete unknown could really do well through the month again especially if it gets the oscar nom noms win some golden globes it could become the adult movie of the time and the kids are going to be into you know bob dylan is a buck boy uh jacob dylan do we get a biopic of jacob dylan because the bob dylan movie is doing well do you think there will be a wall flowers big screen biopic in the next three years i mean i think that is the spin off of the dylan franchise if that happens i think we have to still see what goes on with the the dylan franchise i don't think it can stand on its own i think that's the sort of thing that you're in you're on two thousands dylan movie and it's all right it's not doing that great you're like hmm next steps is it the wall flowers well well you would introduce the character of jacob dylan in the fourth or maybe fifth bob dylan movie where whoever is playing jacob dylan in one headlight the movie that character is is a big part of probably the 90s dylan movie right yeah because that's when you that's when the wall flowers came out so you you would see that sort of you know he's dealing with you know dylan's dealing with oh i have a son who's at the top of the game right now well then actually i think you're introducing the jacob dylan character in the 80s dylan church bus movie because that's probably when he's talking about how his son is got this interest in music and he's maybe he's thinking of putting a band together and then you do the spin off then you do one headlight the movie so there it's a it's again and and i'm sure uh uh timmy would have ep credit on one headlight he would definitely get a taste of that so it's a great spot to be it he's got his own uh bdcu um so that this is this is modern movie stardom uh and i think he's making all the right moves so baby girl we touched on it um what it end up doing five million in the five day or oh five day and the uh it did in the three day four point three nine in the five day did seven point two so again i think that's fine it's a very small movie uh it's great to see a movie where basically the only promise of it is that you're going to get horniness uh and it's sold seven million dollars worth of tickets i i i agree though i haven't heard enough to make it feel like this is not disclosure this is not a uh sex uh uh sensation this is not a sex sexation we could say i i don't think it's going to be i haven't heard from anybody who's seen this movie it gave me what i wanted like that i've not heard and i think a movie like baby girl should give you what you want yes yes you haven't heard reports that uh the theater floors are stickier than usual which is what you'd want to hear for the legs on baby girl to be what you'd want them to be for you'd want to hear about super sticky floors mm-hmm um and yeah i haven't got the other listen give us you know our our want to be oh boys want to be oh girls want to be oh people they're busy they're with their families but if you have been to a baby girl screening and you know your feet get stuck let us know because then that's a good sign that this movie could have solid legs we want to know um but still great for Nicole Kidman that basically again the movie is sold on she's going to be horny and they sold seven million dollars worth of tickets for it over Christmas yeah um and you know what congratulations to the people who went to it this week and managed to either extradite themselves from a family dinner or even get family members to go with them to see this movie um because that is a special kind of movie goer um anything else you want to say about baby girl do you do you plan on seeing it which of these movies so we we both saw complete unknown we haven't seen uh uh no sriracha yet we haven't seen baby girl yet um haven't seen sonic three yet any of these feel like must see in the theater for you personally um no i think the movie that's feeling more like must see in the theater isn't even on this chart right now and it's the Robbie Williams monkey movie just because i don't think we're going to see anything like it again anytime soon okay um i think for me no sriracha i will see that in the theater i'll say that right now but are we doing this are we doing Robbie Williams monkey movie in the theater is this a is this a is this a promise level to the audience or is this a t's level i mean i think at this point it's a t's level i mean uh i mean i'm just saying like hypothetically the the the movie i think is a must see in theaters is that now will i actually see it that's a whole different story i mean i honestly don't know this movie i don't know when it where and when it's showing at the moment like you know i i know it's limited release mm-hmm but i can't imagine it's going to be in a lot of theaters it's supposedly going wide i think next friday i do think that friday january third it's supposed to get a quote unquote wide release i mean that could just mean nine hundred theaters it could be some craziness where this movie will be in two thousand theaters i i do think either way that is going to be one of the that's playing will be all the movie territory in terms of oh why america for america i mean worldwide sure um but and i also think it's is it getting over talked about how big of a star he is outside the united states is he truly that big of a star uh i mean that's how he is no he is gigantic gigantic okay um this then has to be one of the biggest differences in terms of stardom in us versus not us or at least something's getting a us release because robbie williams i don't know if anyone has ever meant less being the focus of a wider release movie than robbie williams play world field means way more than robbie williams i mean i think kids in america yeah kids in america had um play mobile at least even if it was at the bottom of their toy box you know yes yes um yes no one no one had millennium action figures and also it is we can't trust us enough he's being played by a monkey a digital monkey um which i i you know plan the apes movies do well obviously con but i i don't think singing digital monkeys have much currency in the states but we'll see but that that'll be an interesting opening weekends document because that this this could be record breaking um anything else you want to say about the christmas first half of the christmas corridor results anything else strike you not really i mean i think we did a pretty good job of of of going over at talking about it you know i i agree i think we did a great great job um and yeah i think this was you know we we didn't do an episode on christmas um just too too much going on too many packages to open gifts to unwrap you know cookie seed we just couldn't do it but i think we more than made up for it with this first half of the christmas corridor review episode we nailed it yeah um so email us the be oh boys podcast at gmail.com we've got some emails that we will get to we'll get the the mailbags getting a little little thick so we'll we'll lance it pretty soon we will get to those so email us the be oh boys podcast at gmail.com of course we are youtubers hey guys hey guys of course forgive my lighting situation because i am off-site i'm at a undisclosed family location right now but you know we'll get back to and we'll we're going to be in studio a lot in 2025 that's a tease so you got it you got to subscribe now to the be oh boys youtube channel because in studio i think it's gonna be a bigger part of 2025 so you're gonna want to see that subscribe to the youtube channel i would like i would like me to be a monkey in 2025 okay i i i want to do that you know i like that i i think that's you know the more i think about it that that would be my ideal is that i'm just a monkey in these a digital monkey i think that it could be doable you know i haven't reached out about this but the monkey that was used in robbie william is better man that move is going to lose so much money and they're going to need to monetize the digital monkey in that movie i do think there's a chance we'd be able to get that digital monkey to be the monkey representation of clinton in 2025 because they're going to need to monetize that digital monkey so we could lease him out for uh you know a couple bucks an episode he's yeah he's he's the monkey i mean yeah i think i mean and also we could just figure out a filter there's got to be some like monkey face filter i mean i know it's like it's gonna look a little bit more low tech but right you know how about we do our due diligence we we reach out to the studio first see if we could strike a deal to get the robbie william's digital monkey to play clinton in on our youtube show um you know maybe they maybe they do it just for a rev share you know they get a piece of the youtube ads we then get uh rights and perpetuity to have clinton portrayed as a robbie william's monkey we'll throw that out there if they say no then we then we look for the free filters yeah um i agree i think it would be great i would love right now to be just looking at the screen and i see a digital monkey holding a microphone it'd be so much better it'd be so much better um so follows on youtube moron studio possible monkey as clinton a lot of things to look forward to there follows on social media at the be a boys pod on instagram on tiktok twitter act sure we're still there once in a while uh but want to be a senior vp of interns christopher killing it with the vertical videos and uh yeah he's he got that promotion in october and he's just been killing it ever since so good on christopher and uh five stars in apple podcasts and yeah uh oh and just got to tease it next episode you know you might be thinking oh there's not a lot of movies opening friday january third i wonder if they're going to talk about we've got a very special episode planned not going to go into details but we've had different listeners reach out with this idea and it's going to happen here all i'm going to say is 2025 2025 box office draft so i'm going to say next episode uh so that you got that to look forward it's going to be huge and yeah i mean i think that's it clinton i think other than a merry christmas corridor i got none left to say uh i finished and uh pat you said it all right there's nothing left to be said all right let me get back to christmas for this nail down [BLANK_AUDIO]
