In Mark 8:33, Jesus rebukes Peter and said, “Get behind me, Satan! For you are not setting your mind on the things of God, but on the things of man.” What Jesus is saying is when we think, see, and act in contradiction to God’s design we are aligning ourselves with Satan. Instead, we must focus on making Jesus the king of our world and our hearts.
