[Music] My baby came home last night and she looked at me real cool. She said, "Abba, you ain't nothing, but a overgrown fool. I'm gonna leave you. Gonna leave you behind." I said, "Baby, I'ma tell you that a good fool is hard to find. Now, baby, if you leave me, you would hurt me to my soul. I just can't understand why, baby, in a warm up it's so cold, but a good fool. A good fool is hard to find. Take a lesson from me, baby, a good fool is hard to find. [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] Last time you left me, I didn't have much to lose. A good fool is hard to find. Take a lesson from me, baby, a good fool is hard to find. Now, listen to my baby, I think you should be told when it made your daddy. When it broke the mold of good food, a good fool is hard to find. You take the lesson from me, woman, a good fool is hard to find. [Music] [Music] Welcome to nothing but the blues at me, Cliff. The master of the Telecaster though, of course. Albert Collins with a good fool is hard to find. It's from 1986 album Cold Snap. Great stuff. Well, when Jodie Williams came back to the music business in 2001, he called his album Return of a Legend, and quite right, too. From that, this is "I'm Coming Back In Again". [Music] I'm going back outside, and I'll be coming back in again. I'm going back outside, and I'll be coming back in again. And who else is in my house? Better be gone when I come back in. I came home a little early, so we could have a little fun. But from the look on your face, I'm going back outside, and I'll be coming back in again. And whoever's in my house, better be gone when I come back in. I came home a little early, so we could have a little fun. But from the look on your face, look like the party's already begun. I'm going back outside, but I'll be coming back in again. And whoever's in my house, better be gone when I come back in. [Music] [Music] Since I came home a little early, and I spoil the master plan, is that my mother-law in the bedroom? Is that the big, big, looking man? I'm going back outside. I'll be coming back in again. And who else is in my house, better be gone when I come back in. He better get up and get out, he better start making tracks. Don't get caught in heaven's sanity. By the time I get back, I'm going back outside. I'll be coming back in again. [Music] And whoever's in my house, better be gone when I come back in. [Music] [Music] [Music] Just got lucky baby, let me tell you how I feel. Just got lucky baby, let me tell you how I feel. Played nine numbers in eight jumping off of the wheel. I got a case full of whiskey, all I need is company. I got a pocket full of money, all I need is misery. I got a pocket full of money, all I need is misery. [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] Just got lucky baby, want to play for tonight. Just got lucky baby, want to play for tonight. If you come with me woman, I'll make everything all right. [Music] As he finished, yes I think he has. Clarence Gatemouth Brown, which has got lucky. Recorded in Paris in July 1973 with J. MacShan on piano, lovely stuff. And before that, Jody Williams, with them coming back in again from his 2001 album, "Return of a Legend". Well, even though I've heard of the key to the highway, this is Bessie Tucker with "Key to the Bushes Blues". [Music] I've got the key to the bushes and I'm ran to go. [Music] I've got the key to the bushes and I'm ran to go. [Music] I ought to leave yeah running and put that more too slow. [Music] I was taught a matter with that. Captain, Captain, I was taught a matter with that. You have worked my partner. You have killed my past. [Music] Captain got a big horse pistol. [Music] Captain got a big horse pistol. [Music] I'm going to take it this morning to help me make me mad. [Music] I'm going down in Old Blue Goose. I got to be told Lou. I'm going down in Old Blue Goose. I got to be told Lou. If I lose, I'm going to get some more. I'm a pretty good working. Got a good way to go. I'm going down in Old Blue Goose. I got to be told Lou. [Music] I'm going down in Old Blue. Even if I lose. I can do anything anybody else can do. Any kind of work and yeah I'm on too. I'm going down in Old Blue. Even if I lose. I'm going down in Old Blue. Even if I lose. I'm going back to Shope and I've been done for three years. I can make it a hill but I've shifted my gear. I'm going down in Old Blue. Even if I lose. [Music] I'm going down in Old Blue. Even if I lose. I'm going to take my buddy. My buddy's friend. Pick more cotton than the jen ken jen. I'm going down in Old Blue. Even if I lose. [Music] I'm going down in Old Blue Goose. Even if I lose. If I lose, there's going to be nothing lost. Just two bits and what didn't cause. I'm going down in Old Blue Goose. I don't care about Lou. I'm going down in Old Blue. Even if I lose. When you go to Street Hotel you'll find Lou Goose and it'll tell you down. I'm going down in Old Blue Goose. I don't care about Lou. [Music] Jessie Babyface Thomas with Blue Goose Blues recorded in Dallas in August 1929. Before that, Bessie Tucker with Key to the Bushes Blues again with Jessie Thomas on guitar recorded in Dallas in October 1929. It's a prison song and to have the Key to the Bushes means to escape. Well Nick Curran's got a new album out called Reform School Girl. From that this is Kill My Baby. [Music] I'm just a guy whose intentions are good. Try to do everything the way I should. But this chick I got. You won't be running around. I'm going to kill this chick if she don't simmer down. I'm going to kill my baby. I'm going to burn my baby. I'm going to kill my baby if she don't mess her up. [Music] She told me she loved me. She told me a lie. It told her by the way that you kiss her by. And you don't stop doing me the way you do. Something bad's going to happen to you. I'm going to kill my baby. I'm going to kill my baby. I'm going to burn my baby if she don't mess her up. [Music] [Music] I'm going to kill my baby. I'm going to kill my baby. I'm going to kill my baby. I'm going to burn my baby if she don't mess her up. [Music] Wow! [Music] My hen said to me, I would treat her right. Give her a call in the morning and poke top at night. She's the old hen. Tries to be hard, with your leg on his, and other people's y'all. That's why I'm okay, lad. I'm going to kill that hen. I'm going to kill that hen. I don't want no chicken at all. [Music] Through the chemistry of me, mad at the time, but we still was friends. They want to talk too long, had a gun on this wing. The hen started talking, wrote them great big eyes. The baby chick said to me, don't fall for that guy, that's why I'm okay, lad. [Music] I'm going to kill that hen. I'm going to kill that hen. I don't want no chicken at all. [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] That was a guy called Blue Charlie Morris, with "I'm Going to Kill That Hen". Recorded for the Nasko label in 1957, and apart from that, I can't tell you anything about it. I couldn't find out anything about Blue Charlie Morris. I'm playing it from an album, "Shim, Sham, Shimmy". There's no details given on the cover notes, so there you go. In 1957, and that's all we know. Before that, Nick Corrin on the low lights with "Kill My Baby". It's from his brand new album, "Reform School Girl", released earlier this week. I read that he's just been diagnosed with cancer of the tongue, but fortunately, he's expected to make a full recovery, so we're wishing well. Well, let's have a couple of furry Lewis songs now. [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] Frank Stokes with Memphis Rounders Blues recorded in Memphis in September 1929. He was one of the people, one of the many people mentioned by Steve James and Del Ray. And that was the real guitar rag from the 2004 album "To Noise." Terrific song, I think. And if you think beatups sounds like domestic violence, the Stella was an old guitar, which I think was fairly cheap. And I love the idea of Rosetta Tharb inventing the windmill before Pete Townsend. Great stuff. Okay, let's have some piano now. This is Jesse James. [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] Tremendous. Calcout haven't bought all Charles to give him his proper name. Recorded in Chicago in July 1928, and it's credited to him, but it's Ivy Smith doing the speaking. And before that Jesse James with "Lonesome Day Blues" recorded in Chicago in June 1936. It's fascinating story behind this one. He was a convicted prisoner who was given parole to do the recording session. He cut four sides, then taken back to prison, never heard of again. We don't even know if the name was genuine. It's just what was entered on the studio notes. So Jesse James, "Lonesome Day Blues". Great stuff though. Well, here's two young ladies I've been neglecting for a while. First up is Anna Popovich. [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music]
