[THEME MUSIC] My ship came in and she sunk it. I was a toast to the town of shit-drunk it. I had her on a good look and she ran it right into the ground. And now she's putting on a show. I get to play the clown. I had to win that myself, and she took it. I had to worry 'bout her tail unless she shook it. I reached out for a lifeline and she threw me a noose. I got the shot into the chicken. She got the golden goose. She's a living it up, and I'm trying to live it down. Just when I got it all together, it's all about to come on play. Everybody laughing behind my back, baby. Show is a sad old friend. She's out there living it up, and I'm trying to live it down. Oh, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my. Well, I'm just trying to know when I'm gonna talk to the people. Shit! And money! I ain't got no more money, just when I'm gonna talk to the people. Shit! And money! I ain't got no more money, just when I'm gonna talk to the people. I had my ducks in a row when she shot 'em. I had my eggs in a basket, shit drunk. I threw her out of the house, but she went back like a boomerang. Sometimes you get to hunting. Sometimes all you get is a stay. Everybody laughing behind my back, baby. Show is a sad old friend. I was expecting the beginning there, and forgot about that one. That was Dilbert McLinson with Living It Down from his 2001 album, Nothing Personal. And I ducked that out because I've been playing tracks by Ricky Jean Hall, and the Living It Down is on the album in which Dilbert recorded this next song, if you see what I mean. This is Ricky Jean Hall on the Goods, and the Dilbert McLinson song, "Read Me My Rights." The sun is shining, but don't you know it's raining in my heart? Well, I feel the walls closing in, just the thought of unity then. It's gone too far, and now I find myself on the outside, just looking in. Before you break my heart tonight, baby, baby, read me my rights. I'm just a prisoner, thought up in a world I can't control. Man, what am I doing here? Just around in these days. I can't even walk away, and let it all just crumble. Oh, these years. Oh, these years. Oh, you'll break my heart tonight. Baby, baby, read me my rights. Now, do I have the right to want you? Do I have the right to need you? Do I have to let you go? Oh, now baby, don't you see me? Baby, don't you need me? Don't I have the right to know? Do you still love me? Or am I just wasting my time? Well, I have to say this next guy, Alex Dixon, wins both ways. He's Willie Dixon's grandson and was tutored by him, so he's got everything going for him. He's got a new album coming out called Rising from the Bushes, due to be released at the end of April. And this track I'm going to play called Fantasy features Marcy Levy on vocals.
