Marrque's Bio:
"I've been writing poetry since I was about nine years old and I love reading and watching poetry, as well. I am a strong believer in free speech (even when it's used against me) and I greatly appreciate all forms of communication. I've won awards and contests and am currently looking to expand my poetic tastes and exposure by trying to connect to other poets (established or not) on here through this page and my personal one. This also translates into my rapping as my rap style is highly poetically influenced.
I've been producing a while now but I've been making songs all of my life. I love the process of instrumental selection and execution and enjoy the planning process behind songs and albums. I study all forms of music and try to pay homage to some set traditions while having an open mind to embrace new ideas and concepts. I try to keep something new in my listening rotation but every now and then an artist gets stuck in my head and I have to listen to that person's music whether it's old or not. I have a range of influences that are way to numerous to get into here but if you ask me, I'll tell you."
