2 Small Cokes and a Large Popcorn!

'Arrival' and 'Platoon'

‘Louise Banks: If you could see your whole life from start to finish, would you change things?

Ian Donnelly: Maybe I'd say what I felt more often. I-I don't know.’

Arrival

‘Chris Taylor: Day by day, I struggle to maintain not only my strength but my sanity. It's all a blur. I have no energy to write. I don't know what's right and what's wrong anymore. The morale of the men is low. A civil war in the platoon. Half the men with Elias, half with Barnes...’

Platoon

If Rob and Sarah knew their lives from start to end it would be watching these two beautiful films more than twice! This week, we have calm, controlled panic as aliens land on earth in ‘Arrival’ (Sci-fi); plus raw, hot-headed and hard-hitting ‘Platoon’ (war) - both also with impressive musical scores, cinematography and wit. Enjoy this week’s review!
