Bucky, this is not nom, this is bowling, they're a rule. Ten-ten-eight, Jr. America! It's like four- BASTEST! So stand by! Alright, everybody, welcome back to the State for Breakfast podcast. If you're a first-time listener, welcome to the show. If you're a long-time listener, welcome back to America's fastest growing. And quickly becoming favorite political podcast. I'm Roan, I've got Noah here with me. You know. And we're on the back end of two big Friday editions of the show today, getting ready to conclude our coverage of the Republican National Convention, which will, I guess, conclude also. With the address of President Trump as he formally accepts the Republican nomination last night. So a little bit of breaking news coming across the wire. You know, we already talked about the fact that Lou Dobbs had passed away, very sad to see such a strong advocate of President Trump supporter of the America First Agenda. Trailblazer, when it comes to journalism, pass away yesterday. In addition, there are now unconfirmed reports. And I'm reading from the New York Times. President Biden is appearing to be accepting the idea that he may not be able to win in November and may have to drop out of the race. According to people close to him, one person warned that Biden had not yet made up his mind. So, you know, I did a post on it yesterday and it was, let's believe it when we see it. I think this is another pressure tactic to, you know, kind of give him a nudge in regards to their done with him, officially. But Noah, what do you think? They've been done with him. They just needed some sort of weird random excuse where they didn't have to make him be, like, unfit, but they could still get rid of him. So maybe this COVID thing is helpful for that. Good point. Consequently, if you're listening to this show for the first time, this is the second of our Too Big Friday edition. Just press pause. We'll see you in a little bit. Go back and check out our first edition of the podcast. So hopefully it included Florida Congressman Corey Mills and Indiana Congresswoman Aaron Houchin. In addition, we talked about the wild week of news, everything from Joe Biden's candidacy. And what does that mean for the rest of his presidency? And the latest onto the investigation of the assassination attempt against President Trump. We're going to be catching up with Tennessee representative Tim Burchit and the comms director for the Florida young Republicans, Megan at 10 champ during this episode of the podcast. So sit back, relax and get ready to enjoy the rest of our coverage of the Republican National Convention. Now, Noah, you missed our first episode. We did our second news segment of the first show kind of with the Tuesday into Wednesday speakers. We heard from people like Jim Justice. I know you saw the big governor of West Virginia and Baby Dog, which had her own seat while he spoke. What was that? That's awesome. I thought that was a joke. I thought it was like Parks and Rec or something. Oh, no. Not only does she have a seat at the RNC, she's got a seat on the House floor of the West Virginia State House and she's got like a throne inside of the governor's office there. We heard from Kerry Lake pushing back on the media narrative. Definitely like that. At least Stefanik talking about the ever-going fight against anti-Semitism or Trump and her journey to where she's at today is the co-chair of the RNC and her the unwavering support she's received from her father-in-law over the years and how that's made her into the person that she was. We heard from Vivek Ramaswamy and Mike Johnson both gave good speaking pieces. Also, unfortunately, Nikki Haley, who essentially made it all about her. And then Rhonda Santis, who's now fat Ron again, which is a lot more enjoyable. Waiting up for that again. Oh, Blimpy. He gave up. Yeah, it was epic Ron. I'm not doing this for four more years. Didn't like him love the Ron that was at the RNC this week. Oh, that's amazing. Yeah, and then from Doug Bergum, who was a finalist. Wait, hold on. Was he wearing his lifts? You know what? It was a close shot of the podium. I mean, even Donald Trump looked to his right during the speech and to whoever was sitting next to him. I believe on that night, it was Eric and said twice. There's a good speech. It's a good speech. I mean, Rhonda Santis talked about, you know, revolutionary times and being bold and brave right now and putting your ego aside. And it was one of those things where I don't know who the fuck was writing his speeches when he was out on the campaign trail and the fake multiversal presidential primary under President Trump earlier this year. But he's got a new speech writer and I liked what he was bringing to the RNC. And then, of course, Doug Bergum, who Donald Trump called and addressed as Mr. Secretary when he told him he wasn't going to be the vice president on the ticket this year. So, you know, we had long assumed that Doug Bergum, someone who is heavily invested in American energy dominance, would probably be the energy secretary in the next Trump administration. So, make sense. Good spirits. Good times. And we're going to jump right back into this. So, you know, who else was back during the convention? We saw him in 2016. I mean, he's kind of been an on and off supporter, but has fully come back to be unleashed as lion, L-I-O-N, Ted Cruz. And, you know, making America safe again was the theme of the third night. And a lot of that had to do with Joe Biden's open border policies. You know, we heard from families whose loved ones had been raped and murdered by illegal aliens. We heard from a mother whose son died of a fentanyl overdose in medicine that was not supposed to include fentanyl. You know, and as some of the mainstream outlets like MSNBC and CNN would cut away from these families to kind of try and not normalize the problems that every day Americans are going through every day and make jokes about stuff. I thought some of the other outlets who stayed in on this man, the video tribute before some of the Gold Star families talked, I was crying. You know, it's emotional stuff going on here and just the heart touching insight into what some of these families have had to go through under Joe Biden and that essentially every single one of the lives could have been saved if he wasn't the president. You know, it's just wild to see. We're going to jump right in now with Senator Ted Cruz and he's going to be talking about how much Americans have suffered under Joe Biden. Let's check it out. Every day Americans are dying. Murder, assaulted, raped by illegal immigrants that the Democrats have released. Teenage girls and boys, wearing colored wristbands are being sold into a life of sex slavery. This is evil and it's wrong and it is happening every damn day. Think of Kate Steinle. She was 32 walking with her father on a San Francisco pier when a bullet tore through her heart. The man who fired that gun, he'd been deported five times every damn day. Think of Lake and Riley. Just 22 years old, a nursing student with dreams of healing others. She went for a jog and never came home. Her life taken by someone who should have never been here. Every damn day. Rachel Moran, a beautiful mother of five, raped and murdered in suburban Maryland by an illegal immigrant, the Democrats released. Every damn day. Or Jocelyn Nungury, only 12 years old. It was just one month ago today that she was brutally raped and murdered in Houston by two men who were supposed to be detained and monitored, but instead released and allowed to roam free. Every damn day. These aren't just stories or statistics. There are daughters, our sisters, our friends. The families don't care about the empty numbers. They care about the empty chairs at the dinner table. About the voices. They'll never hear again. About the laughter lost. And about the dreams that will never be fulfilled. Like I said, when you're talking about making America safe again, and where we are as a nation right now, there was a lot of emotional driven speeches last night, which really tugged on the heartstrings. Noah, did you catch any of the conference last night? I haven't caught anything. Good for you. Now that we're talking about Ted Cruz, while I was at this forklift training, one of the guys that was running the training actually said somehow Ted Cruz came up. We were talking about something about faces. They actually did a study and it wasn't politically leaning or anything like that. They went to other countries and other places where people had never heard of Ted Cruz before and they showed him a picture of his face. And like, do you like this guy or not like this guy? And they didn't like him. So I guess there's just something about his face. You want to build one of these right in a suck hole? Well, he does look like the zodiac killer. Yeah. And he's fed into that narrative for a long time. But I thought, you know, listen, you have to be able to put a face on what Joe Biden's done to this country. When you talk about the reaction from some of the other outlets, like I said, right when they started the video montage of the 13 servicemen and women who were killed at Abbey Gate in Afghanistan, like the head, one of the co chairs of the DNC who was a guest commentator, and it was Joy Reid, it was Jen Psaki, and it was Hayes. They started making jokes and making, oh, I thought this was going to be like a unity thing. Sounds like they're pretty pissed. And then they like panned in on a picture where it said like, you know how they have the Trump signs of the rallies? Well, they have a deport them all sign, which looks just like the Trump, they were passing them out, you know, for people to wave. And it was just in such bad taste the way that they completely ignore what has happened to so many people in this country under Joe Biden. And the ignorance of the radical left as they continue to, you know, pretend like all the issues that don't affect them directly are issues that don't affect everyday Americans. And I think that big disconnect is where they're going to lose the ballot box because the Democrats have gotten so out of touch. It's just, you know, sad to watch what's happening to that party right now, everything from the fighting that's going on over Joe Biden's candidacy, all the way up to and through, you know, the bad messaging that they're promoting. Listen, you know, it would be weird. Let's just say Joe Biden doesn't get out. Who the fuck is going to speak at the Democrat National Convention next month? No, every single prominent figure in the Democrat party from Barack Obama to every sect of leadership in the House of Representatives. Senators, governors have all called from the throw in the towel. And now these people are just going to get invited to pull the party line and toe the tape. That's where I think the big disconnect and maybe lead into where, you know, it's going to be really hard to pull off the, you know, lipstick on a pig when it comes to Joe Biden's thing on this ticket. And I just don't know what their end game is, but, you know, unless it's massive cheating, but I think any kind of change of the candidate with four months to go before the election, five weeks before the National Convention, et cetera. It doesn't end in a, I think, equation where they're going to, you know, be successful. I did see someone, before we get back into this, we're going to jump over to Nancy Mason just a second, but even here, watch what they're saying. I want to bring it back to the voters. The voters are yearning for recognition for their daily plight. When you say that there isn't a crime issue in this country. I didn't say that. No, no, not you. You mentioned crime is going down in Washington, D.C. We're here in New York City. Go talk to people who live in impoverished areas or poor white areas and ask them about crime. Talk to those people about the economic instability that we have under the Joe Biden, Kamala Harris administration. Talk to those people about immigration. And it's not about demonizing immigrants, Van. I agree with you that immigrants come to the country, assuming for good life. But people want an ordered process. People want to make sure that their plight is addressed first before the plight of other people. That's the, that's the there there. You know, how much longer are you going to continue to ignore Americans and make everybody else's priority a priority over them? And like I said, the, the Democrat party thought they were die. Oh, yeah. Green knew everything. Evie cars. We're a pronouns forever. And everybody's going to buy it abortion rights for one and all. We're in control of your kids. They're not learning shit at school, but they can get their privates cut off and reassigned. We are good. And then the fucking train wreck happened Joe Biden. He had an expiration date and it wasn't through this upcoming election, unfortunately, for them. Yeah, that the milk started stinking well, well before the date arrived. And boy, is it curdled? Nancy Mason has been out and about on the floor doing interviews. You know, I talked to her team today. She'll be joining us again next week. She's just had a, you know, first she had a death in the family and then she spent some extended time in district because she had a late primary made it back up to Capitol Hill was like ridiculous committee work. Oh, Noah. Have you heard about the guest lineup for tonight? Yeah, I think you, you sent me a brief snippet of the guest list. No, it sounds pretty fucking good. The only person that's not confirmed exactly is Elon Musk, but we're going to get the NW MAGA tonight. Listen, I don't want to see him. Elon Musk is going to come in on a fucking rocket pack or something. I wish, you know, he had a post the other day and so many actual Iron Man. I don't know if you saw that his post on X, but Tim Burchot tagged me in it, Corey Mills tells me in it, Mike Collins tagged me in it and then I'm like, okay, these guys do nothing but usually but share our show. Sometimes Mike Collins makes a funny joke and then tags us in it because he wants us to help ratio. But Elon Musk posted on his X account that he had a steak and eggs for breakfast and it was part of what was making his day grain. And, you know, I went in there, I dropped a link to our show. Here's the post. Wow, steak and eggs with coffee in the morning really feels like a superpower up. And... Hey, who posted that? Elon Musk. Oh, nice. Yeah, so I went and dropped the show link and said, hey, listen, come for the breakfast, stay for the commentary. And, you know, got in there, but you have all these, you know, bigger accounts that were tagging us in there and, you know, having seen it, it was good to get a share, but getting back into the speakers here so we don't get too far off the rails. Listen, Hoek Hogan is going to speak at the RNC. I love it. Tucker Carlson, Dana White, Kid Rock is already practicing with the house band and trying to figure out ways to work. Donald Trump's names into whatever songs he's going to be performing, 50 cents going to be there. And, listen, we need everybody. It can't just be the tight-ass suit wearing middle-aged men anymore. I love what this party looks like. I love the changing of the face of the entire entity of Republican politics. And, like I said, for the very few people that still aren't here, Mike Pence, Mitt Romney, Liz Cheney, number one, they're not even Republicans. They're more of moderate Democrats than anything. And, number two, we don't need people like that because they're only in it for themselves. They're legacies and they're families, legacies. Speaking of which, someone who doesn't really make it all about her, I kind of already mentioned the South Carolina Congresswoman Nancy Mase. Let's hear her. Good evening, America. My name is Nancy. Don't call me Pelosi Mase. I love it. I'm a Congresswoman representing the great state of South Carolina. At the age of 17, I learned that dropping out of high school might not have been the best idea. So, I took my first job at a fine dining establishment, some of you may know as the Waffle House. Denny's was a little too highbrow. While Waffle House was an important part of my journey, it would not be my destination. I soon went from making Waffles to making history. Twenty-five years ago, this high school dropout became the first woman to graduate from the Citadel, the Military College of South Carolina. Were you aware of that, Noah? I did not know that. Yeah, it's pretty awesome to see her journey, you know, and then to go through college and, you know, her path to politics. She's a warrior. First woman to ever graduate to Citadel. I mean, for the faint of heart, to say the least. No. She shared a picture of that event on her social media. First of all, I can't believe that she's that old when I even try and guess her age, but, you know, you could do the math. Secondly, Smoke then? Smoke now? Still like it? Let's hear her wrapping up her speech before we get into the man who made Florida men better, Matt Gaetz. And I know a strong leader when I see one. Donald Trump stood up to China before, and he will do it again. (Applause) Anyone who thinks they can take on Donald Trump, or take down America, is now on notice. Justice Trump quickly rose to his feet with a defiant fist in the air in Butler Township, Pennsylvania. When we re-elect him as President in November, America will soon be back on hers. (Applause) We will be courageous, we will be resilient, we will be united, and we will be prepared to take on the challenges of this historic moment. Thank you, God bless you, and God bless the United States of America, and God bless Donald J. Trump. Thank you. (Applause) I like it. Yeah. Yeah. Can't really disagree with that. Yeah, I thought it was a good spot. And then, you know, before we get into Matt Gaetz, did you hear about the drama? Yeah, I saw the video. What do you think of that? Poor kid. Poor kid. Not necessary, but funny. Oh, come on, it's very necessary. He's such a little bitch. It's funnier that he was interrupting CNN, though, at the same time. Exactly. You know, I'm going to be asking Congresswoman Mase when she comes in next week. Number one, what did you think of Matt Gaetz instigating Kevin McCarthy when he's getting interviewed by CNN? That's number one. Number two, why didn't you do it? It was a guy that was... Shut up, Gaetz. Probably one of his security guys. Man, they're showing Hulk Hogan on TV right now getting ready to take the... Believe it or not, he's wearing a sleeveless shirt, headband sunglasses. He's ready to go. I don't think the headband comes off. He's going to be in full character tonight. I do want to play the clip of Gaetz. Let's check it out before we hear from him. It's an open question of how the crowd here will receive her, but I want you to listen to it. Former House Speaker Kevin McCarthy, who is walking around here just a few moments ago, said to me about this idea of Republican unity, but watch what happened here at the end of our interview wall. But what you're seeing here, a more united Republican party, think back eight years ago, Ted Cruz wouldn't endorse. Senator Lee was saying no to President Trump. Now you've got Nikki Haley, Ron DeSantis, you're watching a united party like we haven't been in the past. One who's not coming back, and then the other part that you have, and the other part you have is one person who raised the issue. He's got an ethics complaint about paying, sleeping with a 17 year old. So that's the way they go. So that's the biggest challenge we have. Well, that's Kevin McCarthy. They're talking about how we believe the Republican party is unified. Of course, I pointed to his Alster that the House, the House Republicans, at least are fractured, and then you saw Congressman Mackay to Florida interrupt that interview. It does show over here on the House floor a few moments ago, obviously highlighting that there are still very much fractures in the Republican party. We'll see. No, there isn't. Kevin McCarthy is just an ass-kisser, and that's the only reason around Donald Trump. Listen, Nikki Haley had a spattering of booze. Ron DeSantis had less booze. But anyone who knows that if Kevin McCarthy went up to that podium and tried to deliver any kind of a speech, he would have been ran out of the building by that audience. Matt Gates saw an opportunity to troll his ass, and I'm actually glad that he did. Any time that we could drag that dirt bag, he made it very difficult for a lot of the candidates who were running in these primary elections to get over the finish line. And for the ones that overperformed like Nancy Mace, she can't wait to get a hold of him either without further ado. Here's the man who represents Florida One, Congressman Gates. Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome Congressman Matt Gates of Florida. [Applause] Donald Trump is unstoppable. Elect him president again, and America will be unstoppable too. Meanwhile, Joe Biden's been out of it. Democrats have been hiding the real Biden for years. We saw people in the witness protection program more often than we saw unscripted Biden. Under Biden, Harris, America has fallen sicker, lonelier, and poorer. Under Trump, we prospered, we were richer, inflation was low, and there were two genders. Under Biden, Harris, inflation has gotten so bad you can no longer bribe Democrat senators with cash alone. You have to use gold bars just so the brides hold value. This swamp draining will recommence soon, and I will be President Trump's strongest ally in Congress to pass term limits. To stop taxpayer funding for political campaigns. To ban members of Congress for life from becoming lobbyists, and for the same reason you don't let the referee bet on the game, ban members of Congress from trading individual stocks. I am proud to stand before you, the only Republican in Congress who takes no luck with the obvious money, no PAC money. It's not good for me, I work for you, not them. President Trump, he'll never defund our police, but he will defund foreign aid to countries that hate us. And President Trump understands that if it isn't racist, to check ID for a hunting license, or welfare benefits, or a fishing license, that it is okay to demand an ID to vote everywhere in this country and every election to tell. A Democrat Congressman recently said that any criticism of Joe Biden is ableist. I don't think it's too much to ask that the American President be able to do the job. Kamala Harris isn't able to do any job. She was appointed borders are, appointing Kamala Harris to oversee the border is like appointing Bernie Madoff to oversee your retirement plan. President Trump has shown the world what he is made of, and now we will show the world what America is made of by having his back. And how about the choice President Trump made for a running mate? J.D. looks like a young Abraham Lincoln, but he's from Ohio, like General Grant. And like General Grant, J.D. Vance knows how to fight. So they can run Biden from the nursing home, Harris, George Clooney, Robert De Niro, whoever they want to run. We are on a mission to rescue and save this country, and we ride or die with Donald John Trump to the end. Thank you all so much. Thank you for having my back. Let's go get them. You know, and you've heard it throughout the course of all the speakers. Some people had nice prepared speeches. Some people, you could tell it wasn't their forte to broadcast messaging to a wide spectrum. You know, a little tight ass, a little nervousness, and then some people are just Matt Gaetz. You know, you weren't here in our first episode, no, where we played the clip of Ron DeSantis, and I don't want to keep going back to it, but that was the same kind of thread energy-wise that Fat Ron brought to the RNC this week. Can I say free state of Florida? Of course he did. But that's neither here nor there. Listen, we're circling the president, we're rallying behind him. It's been such an emotional week, roller coaster for the country, and we're going to keep it rolling here. One of President Trump's strongest supporters, she was the press secretary during his first administration for quite some time, Sarah Huckabee Sanders, after going through some health-related procedures, and beating, I believe, thyroid cancer. She made an astounding comeback into politics by claiming her father's spot in the governor's mansion in the great state of Arkansas. She brought an amazing speaking piece to the RNC the other night. Let's check it out. I am here tonight as America's youngest governor, the first woman to lead the great state of Arkansas. I have always been proud to stand with President Trump, but never have I been more proud than to stand with him right now tonight. Not even an assassin's bullet could stop him. God Almighty intervened because America is one nation under God, and he is certainly not finished with President Trump. Under President Trump, America was safer. The world was safer, and it felt like the next generation would have a chance at the American dream. President Trump did the job that Kamala won't and Joe Biden simply can't. The left doesn't care about empowering women. Biden and Harris can't even tell you what a woman is. They only care about empowering themselves, but we have a president who believes in empowering every American in that our country is worth fighting for. Donald Trump was the very first president in my lifetime to take a hard line against China, and I'm proud to be the first and only governor in the country to kick Communist China off our farmland and out of my state. Let's go. President Trump is a leader, and he's the leader our country needs, and if ever there was a doubt earlier this week, we saw just how tough, resilient, courageous, and daring this man is, and we can't get him back in the White House fast enough. God spared President Trump from that assassin, because God is not finished with him yet. And from the official account of Sarah Huckabee Sanders, it sounded like she collaborated with maybe Michael Bay, made famous for the Transformers movies to get a little bit of a beat going behind the strongest parts of her speech, but again, very emotional. During the fire, she doesn't bullshit anybody, and you could tell that the words that she had for President Trump and the dire straits of this country you're in right now are words that came from the heart. You want to even stick in that thread, Noah, let's talk about who not a lot of people even knew would be available to speak at the RNC this week, and that's former Trade Advisor Peter Navarro, released from jail Wednesday, hopped on a flight, and flew directly to Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He did make it to the RNC, and he did speak at the event. Let's check it out. This is a beautiful thing, I think you just, yeah, I think you folks just want to know if you can see my MAGA tattoo I got there. Yes indeed, this morning I did walk out of the federal prison in Miami, Joe Biden and his Department of Injustice put me there. Tonight I'm here with you in this beautiful city of Milwaukee. I've got a very simple message for you. If they can come for me, if they can come for Donald Trump, be careful, they will come for you. If we don't control our government, their government will control us. If we don't control all three branches of our government, legislative, executive and judicial, their government will put some of us like me and Steve Bannon in prison and control the rest of us. Here's how it went. Here's how I got in prison. The legislative branch came for me first. Your favorite Democrat Nancy Pelosi created your favorite committee, the SHAM January 6 committee, which demanded that I violate executive privilege. What did I do? I refused. The J6 committee demanded that I betray Donald John Trump to save my own skin. I refused. Here's the thing about the Constitution. They demanded that I break the law because they have no respect for it. I refused and a Democrat majority in the house then voted to hold me in contempt. What happened next? The next jack boot to drop was the executive branch. Another one of your favorite Democrats, Democrat, Attorney General, Merrick Garland. Here's a winner. I'm in Jack Smith indicted and prosecuted me for criminal contempt of Congress. Here's what's weird about it. It's something that Democrat prosecutors refused to do against one of their own, including two guys with blood on their hands, Eric Holder and Alejandro Mallorquez, the great boarders are. They've actually gotten people killed for decades, for decades. The Department of Injustice right now. The Department of Justice Policy stated, "Hear me out on this. If Congress slaps a subpoena on a senior White House advisor like me, the advisor's duty is to politely tell them to go pound sand." That's exactly what I did. So far we've got two branches, legislative and executive. The judicial branch delivered the final blow, just as, here's another favorite of yours, just as Democrat judge, Juan Marchon, you know this guy? Did to Donald John Trump in his Manhattan kangaroo court. Another Democrat judge, a guy named Ahmed made a keep your eye on this guy. Ahmed made Obama appointee. They stripped me of every possible defense. And then what? Just like in Manhattan with Donald Trump, they threw me the wolves. And we'll leave it at that. You know, for what he's been through at his age, he's into his 70s. And I know his wife was so heartbroken for the amount of time that he had to spend in federal prison, which was just over four months. And for the fact that he looks and sounds stronger than ever. You know, it says a lot for the resiliency of the people who remained most loyal to Donald Trump. Peter Navarro was one of those guys waiting for the president at the bottom of the Golden Escalator back in 2015 and was one of the last people to turn off the lights at the end of the first Trump term in 2021. You know, no, no, like I said, for a night that was kind of a rollercoaster of emotions because we're talking about veterans. We're talking about people being murdered by Joe Biden's open border policies and then to see like a hero, someone who showed unwavering loyalty so much to the fact that he's not only his own life, but his livelihood by being put in federal prison for not flipping on Donald Trump and showing that kind of loyalty. What does it say for people like Peter Navarro? I mean, he's been a guest on the show several times and I just have love to, you know, share every time he gets to come on with us. I think we're going to get him back after this to talk about it. I already reached out to his scheduler and they said once the dust settles, he is technically on a book tour. So we will be getting him back and I'm confident of that. He'll probably also be doing a little bit of guest hosting on the larger apparatus. You know what I mean? Moving on. Someone who doesn't mince words, much in the way we do sometimes here, is former acting ice director probably soon to be just the ice director in the next Trump administration, Big Tom Holman. When we're talking about making America safe again, you can't do it without the man who's looking to lead the largest deportation operation in the history of the universe. Let's hear it. The guy who spent 34 years reporting illegal aliens. I got a message to the man's of illegal aliens that Joe Biden's releasing our country in violation of federal law. You better start packing now. You're damn right. Cause you're going home. I got another message. Another message to the criminal cartels in Mexico. You smoke an offense across this country to kill 148,000 young Americans. You have killed more Americans than every terrorist organization in the world combined. And that's when President Trump gets back in office. He's going designate you a terrorist organization. He's going to wipe you off the face of the earth. You're done. You're done. My nipples are hard. Oh man. Love Tom Holman. I also love to hear from the World War II veteran. One of the last who was at the invasion in Normandy. We've played clips of him before saying that this country doesn't look like his, the one he fought for anymore. He was actually all decorated up and at the RNC and at 98 years old delivered quite a powerful message to the audience there. Check this out Noah. But for us, those who have us who are here that America is still worth fighting for. This pump. It hurts my heart to see what our current president and vice president have done to the country I love so well. They humiliated us in Afghanistan again. We push around in China. Terror is from wild in the Middle East and they let our own southern border get overrun. America, people say, America is an idea. But I believe America is much more than that. America is our home. [Applause] Believe it or not, one of the largest rounds of applause and cheers the entire night. I mean, I guess you could believe it, right? If he could put the uniform on again and do it, he would. And I think that was some amazing words there. Again, more of a heartfelt night. You know, everybody on all three nights touched on the near tragedy that happened up in Butler, Pennsylvania last weekend. But when you talk about some of the stories that, you know, directly have been affected Americans, like we heard on Wednesday, it was a little bit of a motion flown in the room and flown in the Buck Serena. And it was good to kind of see how the audience reacted to some of these heartfelt stories. Follow them, hit the notification bell and you'll never miss out on all the great stuff we've got going on down here at the show, like hearing from Dr. Ben Carson, who's going to be set to join us again in August. You know, he had a couple good interviews following the announcement of the vice presidential pick of JD Vance and had a very thoughtful prayer over the convention in President Trump from the green room right beforehand. Everybody can pretty much agree in some context or another. Ben Carson is a national treasure, and he brought that to the podium when he spoke at the RNC on Wednesday night. Let's check it out. Thank you. Thank you so much. Thank you. You know, Sarah Huckabee always says to me, "I hate to follow you," but I think she turned the table on me tonight. I want to thank you all for being here and for being involved. Like many of you last week, I watched with horror as the events unfolded in that Pennsylvania field. I saw President Trump, a dear friend, escape death by mere inches, and my thoughts immediately turned to the book of Isaiah that says, "No weapon formed against you shall prosper." Well, let me tell you the weapons that they used. First, they tried to ruin his reputation, and he's more popular now than ever. And then they tried to bankrupt him, and he's got more money now than he had before. And then they tried to put him in prison, and he's freer and has made other people free with him. And then last weekend, they tried to kill him, and there he is over there alive and well. (Applause) You know, I have no doubt that God lowered a shield of protection over President Trump, and I joined millions of Americans in Thanksgiving for President Trump's safety, and I encourage you to join me in praying each day for his continued protection. You know, our hearts go out to the victims in the audience. Let's also pray for them and their families. These events have brought unusual clarity to the times we are living in. We have all harbored the nagging feeling that everything we love is slipping away. All you have to do is turn on the television. The free press, a pillar of any free society, has abused the public trust and resorted to lies, deception and disinformation. I don't know, we've had Dr. Carson on the show several times. He's a very deep guy. I didn't hear. This wasn't, you know, people allege, still, sleepy Ben, low energy Ben. It's just that his method of delivery is a little bit different than, I don't think a lot of people interact with doctors that much, first of all. And then secondly, you know, when you talk about some of the angles he takes, a lot of them, you know, coming from spiritual and his extensive background there. Obviously, you know, his thought process is probably a little bit more advanced than most people as well. To be honest with you, you know, pediatric neurosurgeon, to say the least out of his long documented list of resume. But I mean, when you talk about messaging and delivery, the fans were into it. And I believe for that night that he was ranked in some of the top, you know, speaking pieces that were given on the floor of the convention. What do you think? Dr. Ben is solid, the quiet storm. I really like that guy. And I was actually really surprised we were able to get him on the show. I don't know why. It just seemed like something he wouldn't have done. He's been back several times. Yeah, that's the best part about it. The guy is solid. And you cannot possibly listen to him talk and not think that this guy is a very intelligent and calculating person that just knows the next step before even, you know, like he's playing chess, not checkers, basically. Yeah, he certainly is. You know, now that I think about it, I think he'd make one hell of an HHS director and really be able to clean out some of those just absolutely disgusting federal agencies, especially, you know, he was no big fan of COVID. And he actually likes the COVID memes. So I think that would be a perfect place for him in the second Trump administration. Let's hear him wrapping up his remarks before we're getting ready to jump in with Don Jr. Nearly 50 years old already compete with them on virtually every level. So he looked at our government. He was duly impressed by our checks and balances and separation of powers. And then he looked at our business environment. He was duly impressed by how we encourage entrepreneurship and innovation. And he looked at our educational system. And he was blown away by the fact that he could find a mountain man in the middle of the woods who could read, who could tell him about the Declaration of Independence. But the thing that impressed him the most was when he went to our churches. And he heard those inspirational sermons from the pulpits that inspired a ragtag bunch of militiamen to defeat the most powerful army in the world and gave the American people a moral base. (Applause) And he concluded his two-volume set, Democracy in America, with these words. He said America is great because America is good. And if America ever ceases to be good, she will cease to be great. It is our job to make America good. And let's do this by re-electing President Trump so we can make America great. Thank you very much. (Applause) And you know, when you look in history and the awe that the rest of the modernized world stood in, you know, the story he's referencing off the French historian who came over just 50 years after our republic was founded and couldn't believe that militarily, economically, infrastructure-wise, we were competing with the rest of the modern world who had been around for hundreds if not thousands of years. And it was this idea that our country was founded on that I think a lot of people forget. Two hundred and forty years ago, as a drop in the barrel for, you know, the existence of Western civilization. And in such a short amount of time and in a digital age like we live in, it's so easy to get off track. But the ability to be able to bring it back, I think, is where we're at the starting line four. And, you know, we've seen with the other side of the coin and what the degenerate nation, I mean, listen, the behaviors that are being displayed now where, you know, the focus is on climate and the focus is on transgender and the focus is on abortion. These are things that have been around for thousands of years. You know, civilizations of worship, the sun and the elements, they've sacrificed babies. You know, done all the stupid shit that we do now, it's just on a lot looser scale and under a much more tuned in microscope. But I think one of the best comeback stories that you see is going to be the one where Donald Trump leads us. You know, out of this recurring cycle and back into prosperity. Don Jr. was one of the headliners before JD Vance took the stage. He gave a good passionate speech about his father. He was very emotional the first night when Donald Trump took the floor. He nearly started bawling when he saw the audience reaction. And, you know, for someone whose father was almost assassinated like four days before, I think, pretty much everybody was entitled to a tear to this week. But he also had a surprise for the audience and would actually cut his speaking event short. Let's listen. And we will fight. We will fight. We will fight with our voices. We will fight with our ideas. And on November 5th, we will fight with our vote. I've always been proud of him, but I've never been prouder of my father than I was in that moment. That's when the world found out that there is tough and then there's Trump tough. And the good news is America is Trump tough. [Applause] In 1912, more than a century ago, another legendary Republican president came right here to Milwaukee. At a political rally less than one mile from where we stand tonight, Teddy Roosevelt was struck by a would-be assassins bullet. But he didn't quit either. He finished his speech and he kept fighting. My friends, I don't believe in coincidences, but I do believe in God's plan. [Applause] Today, Teddy Roosevelt's man in the arena has a name, and it's Donald J. Trump. So the crowd was pretty fired up, Noah. And did you see who Don Jr. introduced? After his speaking event, he cut it short by about three and a half minutes. I did not. Like I said, I missed this entire thing. So the world was introduced to another Trump on Wednesday night. Oh, no, I did. Actually, I did see this. Don Jr.'s oldest daughter, 17-year-old Kai Madison Trump. And where everybody thought, you know, he pretty much went A to B in like two and a half minutes. And then you're like, okay, where are we going to this? So we're going to start talking about policies. It's not really a thing that Don Jr. is kind of known for. He'll hit the highlights, but it seemed like the impassionate part of his speech. And he was kind of letting wind out of styles a little bit. And then he kind of segued to this, so let's hear her. Before I begin my remarks, I'm going to do something a little uncharacteristic. A Trump is going to give up the microphone. It doesn't happen often. You may never see it again. But I got a call on Monday morning from a young lady who said, "Dad, I want to speak at the RNC." Speaking of awesome. I want to speak at the RNC because I want America to know what my grandpa is actually like. So for the first time ever on a stage, first time ever giving a speech, I want to bring out my eldest daughter and the eldest granddaughter of the President of the United States. Your favorite President, Kai Madison Trump. Hi everyone. My name is Kai Madison Trump. I am the granddaughter of Donald Trump. I'm speaking today to share the side of my grandpa that people don't often see. To me, he's just a normal grandpa. He gives us candy and soda when her parents aren't looking. He always wants to know how we're doing in school. When I made the high honor roll, he printed it out to show his friends how proud he was on me. He calls me during the middle of the school day to ask how my golf game is going and tells me all about his. But then I had to remind him that I'm in school and I'll have to call him back later. When we play golf together, if I'm not on his team, he'll try to get inside of my head. I don't know. And he's always surprised that I don't let him get to me. But I have to remind him I'm a Trump too. Even when he's going through all of these court cases, he always asks me how I'm doing. He always encourages me to push myself to be the most successful person I can be. Obviously, he sets the bar pretty high. But who knows, maybe one day I'll catch him. On Saturday, I was shocked when I heard that he has been shot. And I just want to know if he was okay. It was heartbreaking that someone would do that to another person. A lot of people have put my grandpa through hell, and he's still standing. Grandpa, you are such an inspiration, and I love you. The media makes my grandpa seem like a different person, but I know him for who he is. He's very caring and loving. He truly wants the best for this country, and he will fight every single day to make America great again. Thank you very much. What do you think, Noah? I think we need more of that. His older children are very public figures, but these grandkids, they're all getting older. Some of them have been entering their teen years, and especially in the case of Baron Trump was in the front row of that rally where they shot at his dad last weekend. You can't begin to comprehend psychologically what that does to people. Seeing him get run through the media, seeing all these people lie about him, when you know that's not the person, the character that he is. Then to just get another supporter, but someone that offers a peek into the window that we so often do, I mean Donald Trump tried to sit there with a straight face for a log tie. They had the split screen of her talking and him sitting there, and then when she said, "I love you," he broke into a big smile. He looked at his son that was over his shoulder. Eric was in the stands with him. But as soon as she segued to, but this is what the media makes my grandpa look like, you could tell that his affect, or he went back to Stoneface and he was pissed, because his grandkids shouldn't have to go out and say that they called this guy Hitler, but he's really not behind the scenes. He's a good dad and a grandpa, and someone who I like to play golf with, and someone who makes me better. Well, the Hitler thing was always a stretch. It shouldn't have to be this way. I mean, this should be a family that we celebrate, that we push up, as you want American families to be like this, just successful in every way, shape, or form. Yeah, okay, so an overwhelming majority of them have been able to hold down a marriage, or that they've had a failed business venture, but what family doesn't go through those things? It's just like when you're a billionaire and your family life is very public for the world to see, that gets amplified so much. One of the things I pray for normalcy for that family, and whatever context they can get it, there's rumors that Barron is going to be there, maybe to introduce his father tonight, that Melania's in town, you know she's been off the campaign trail ever since her mother passed away, and you know, it's been a tough year for this family. We used to think the court cases and the possibility of getting thrown in prison was as bad as it was going to get, and then we saw what happened last Saturday, so, you know, just wild times that we're living in, and like I always say, we're here for it. Getting ready to rap here and jump in with Tennessee Congressman Tim Burchit. The world was introduced to JD Vance, and being reintroduced to him as the vice presidential nominee, and for him to formally accept that nomination, he would have to do it in the form of his acceptance speech at the RNC. But before JD took the stage, he was introduced by his longtime companion called Sweetheart, wife, Usha. Let's hear from her. Good evening. Good evening. When I was asked to introduce my husband, JD Vance, to all of you, I was at a loss. What could I say that hasn't already been said before? After all, the man was already the subject of a Ron Howard movie. JD has shared much of his life through his own eloquent words, in his book, Hillbilly Elegy, during his Senate campaign, and now as a sitting United States Senator. It occurred to me that there was only one thing to do, to explain, from the heart, why I love and admire JD and stand here beside him today, and why he will make a great vice president of the United States. (Applause) I met JD in law school when he was fresh out of Ohio State, which he attended with the support of the GI Bill. We were friends first, because, I mean, who wouldn't want to be friends with JD? He was then, as now, the most interesting person I knew. A working-class guy who had overcome childhood traumas that I could barely fathom to end up at Yale Law School. A tough Marine who had served in Iraq, but whose idea of a good time was playing with puppies and watching the movie babe. (Laughter) The most determined person I knew with one overriding ambition, to become a husband and a father, and to build the kind of tight-knit family that he had longed for as a child. My background is very different from JD's. I grew up in San Diego, in a middle-class community, (Applause) with two loving parents, both immigrants from India, and a wonderful sister. That JD and I could meet at all, let alone fall in love and marry, is a testament to this great country. (Applause) You know, and the movement in the country is going to be formally getting to know Usha and JD Vance as kids over the course of the next several months. And, you know, she brings such a diverse aspect to the ticket with JD, her husband, President Trump, obviously, and his family. It's such a nice compliment to see, you know, and to get some insight into the man that he is. I've got two clips of JD Vance before we hit with Tim Burchett. First one is him talking about everything that America first means. My wife, we were in law school and I said, "Honey, I come with $120,000 worth of law school debt and a cemetery plot on a mountain side in eastern Kentucky." (Applause) And I guess standing here tonight, it's just got a weirder and weirder, honey. (Laughter) But that's what she was getting. Now, that cemetery plot in eastern Kentucky is near my family's ancestral home. And like a lot of people, we came from the mountains of Appalachia into the factories of Ohio, Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Wisconsin. (Applause) Now, that's Kentucky coal country, one of the 10... (Applause) Now, it's one of the 10 poorest counties in the entire United States of America. They're very hard-working people and they're very good people. They're the kind of people who would give you the shirt off their back even if they can't afford enough to eat. And our media calls them privileged and looks down on them. But they love this country not only because it's a good idea, but because in their bones they know that this is their home. And it will be their children's home and they would die fighting to protect it. (Applause) That is the source of America's greatness. As a United States senator, I get to represent millions of people in the great state of Ohio with similar stories, and it is the great honor of my life. Now, in that cemetery, there are people who are born around the time of the Civil War. And if, as I hope, my wife and I are eventually laid to rest there. And our kids follow us. There will be seven generations just in that small mountain cemetery plot in eastern Kentucky. Seven generations of people who have fought for this country, who have built this country, who have made things in this country, and who would fight and die to protect this country if they were asked to. (Applause) Now, that's not just an idea, my friends. That's not just a set of principles. Even though the ideas and the principles are great, that is a homeland. That is our homeland. (Applause) People will not fight for abstractions, but they will fight for their home. And if this movement of ours is going to succeed, and if this country is going to thrive, our leaders have to remember that America is a nation and its citizens deserve leaders who put its interests first. It seems pretty cut and dry to me. Yeah. America First Principles is what this country was founded on. And, you know, listen, you've heard just about all the candidates who were mentioned in the "veep" stakes as finalists, and JD Vance's delivery is probably about as smooth as it gets. So I've got one more clip of him before we jump in with Congressman Burchit. He's talking about President Trump's vision for this country, and what it means for America at this moment in time. Let's check it out. We've heard about villains and their victims. I've talked a lot about that, but let me tell you about the future. President Trump's vision is so simple and yet so powerful. We're done, ladies and gentlemen, catering to Wall Street. We'll commit to the working man. [Applause] We're done importing foreign labor. We're going to fight for American citizens and their good jobs and their good wages. [Applause] We're done by an energy from countries that hate us. We're going to get it right here from American workers in Pennsylvania and Ohio and across the country. [Applause] We're done sacrificing supply chains to unlimited global trade, and we're going to stamp more and more products with that beautiful label made in the USA. [Applause] We're going to build factories again, put people to work making real products for American families made with the hands of American workers. Together, we will protect the wages of American workers and stop the Chinese Communist Party from building their middle class on the backs of American citizens. [Applause] Together, we will make sure our allies share in the burden of securing world peace no more free rides for nations that betray the generosity of the American taxpayer. [Applause] Together, we will send our kids to war only when we must. But as President Trump showed with the elimination of ISIS and so much more, when we punch, we're going to punch hard. I like it. [Applause] Together, we will put the citizens of America first, whatever the color of their skin. We will, in short, make America great again. [Applause] What more can you ask for? I think it's a perfect completion of the ticket. I think the wave we're going to be riding out of this convention is going to be monumental. When you talk about the very few people who decided not to coalesce, they're going to be completely irrelevant in the writing of the next chapter of this country's success. And we look to be heading into the last night of the Republican National Convention anticipating hearing from President Trump for the first time since the assassination attempt. So we're going to leave it at that as we're getting ready to jump in with Congressman Bertrand, but before we do, another check-in with one of our partners. All right, joining us next on the show today is Big Friday Edition of the State Breakfast Podcast. He's the Congressman who represents Tennessee Second Congressional District. He's coming to us today from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Representative Tim Burshette, welcome back to the show. Thanks for having me on, brother. Oh, always a pleasure. Busy times. Listen, we're coming out of a big weekend here, you know, with all of the unity and the strong messaging that we've seen over the first couple days of the Republican National Convention. The way the news cycle works, sometimes it's quick to forget what happened, and there was an assassination attempt on Donald Trump over the weekend up in Pennsylvania. You know, we're still kind of all processing that together as a nation. Just kind of want to get your perspective of it and, you know, how you saw it go down, and I'm pretty sure you're not satisfied with the accountability and investigation into it following the event. I'm not, I'm not satisfied, but I'm not surprised this administration continuously makes excuses. You know, he talks this president talks this tough buck stops here and it doesn't. And this is a DEI hire. She should have never been in that position. And talking about it wasn't safer agents to be on a slope roof. I mean, unless these guys, I don't know if you ever met my secret service agents. They're freaking warriors, man. They are warriors. They take an oath to uphold, basically uphold the Constitution, but their job is to take a bullet, literally for the president. If you remember when Ronald Reagan was shot, one of the agents, I remember that poor guy was faced down in the pavement and he ran straight up at the guy. He was trained to do that, to block the bullet and he caught one in the head and it cost him his life. And that's what it takes. You saw the pictures where they were, one of the agents was cowered down behind the pile. You had one in that iconic picture of President Trump saying, "Pight, fight, fight." That should have never happened. There should have never been a five foot tall agent in front of the crowd blocking the president, President Trump. It should have been. And as you saw, they quickly corrected that on the first night of the convention. There were some big, burly dudes. And I don't care. And my local TV station got on me and said, "You don't want women working in the secrets?" So, you know, the silly line of questioning. And I said, "No." I said, "I don't care if you're a purple unicorn." But that gamut put the best player in, Coach, and we are not doing that in America. And this DE I stuff, mediocrity almost cost us the life of Donald Trump. Oh, you're 100% correct. And, you know, just the entire objects of the entire situation, people are not being able to put their guns away. People allowing President Trump to, you know, rise above all of them and single to the audience would. I mean, people were saying that the threat had been neutralized, but you don't know that in a situation. You don't know that. They didn't know that, you know, they didn't know that the sky was even there. There could have been somebody in the crowd or just anything, anything. And, you know, they said, "Well, you couldn't have gotten the crowd with a gun." Well, it shouldn't have been within 115 yards of the president with a high-powered rifle. Now, you know, when you look at the metric of methodology when it comes to accountability for the Biden regime, and you use the gold standard as the Afghanistan withdrawal, you know, parlay that into the fact that the Secret Service Director's boss is Alejandro Mayorkas. I'm not thinking that too many people are going to be moving around, and the accountability is going to happen for what happened up in Pennsylvania. No, you brought up Afghanistan. The last person to die there was my constituent, Staff Sergeant Ryan Kanhouse. I live on the Ryan Kanhouse highway even, but those rules and engagement got them killed. I asked the question in committee of the sniper, the Marine sniper, who got the hell blown out of him. He probably had 15 or 20 surgeries. He'll never be whole again. He said, "I had the guy on my side twice." He said, "I called the State Department, the Pentagon or whoever, told him to stand down." And those are our rules of engagement. He's got to have to be able to make a judgment call. Do they have to make, you know, the picture they're showing, I'm not certain that those are the guys that actually took the shot on him. There's another group, and we're going to get briefed today, but I don't think much of that briefing. That would just be more cover up because they're got less. But, you know, it's feeding the fuels, the frenzy of conspiracy right now. And I'm not so sure some of those aren't far from off. What do we know about the leader of? I mean, we know more about the shooter than we do about the head of the Secret Service. She worked 20-something years at Secret Service. She ended up, she was close to the Chinese. You know, Liz Cheney said in her book that she still keeps contact with several of them. And then she went and worked for Fritos or Pepsi. You know, she needs to be back garden bags of Fritos and not the future president of the United States. You make an excellent point there. She was detailed and worked around Dick Cheney for, I believe, six years as is starting to come out online today. It's going to be interesting to see how the house looks very aggressive. I mean, before the dust even set on the Pennsylvania, Jamie Comer had feelers out for getting these people in. They've been reluctant or even defiant to come before you guys. We'll have to see what happens. The RNC is going to break. You guys are going to get back up to Capitol Hill. And I feel like you guys are going to get the ball rolling on this. But let's talk about some other stuff. You know, since the start of the Republican National Convention, we have seen a mass coalescing, a huge message of unity, strength, bringing back wealth, bringing back safety, bringing back security to this country. Just kind of want to get your commentary on how you feel the convention has gone so far. Obviously, it's been great to see President Trump come out and sit in the audience every night. He's obviously made the pick of JD Vance's vice presidential counterpart as well. And just kind of how everything's kind of unfolded over the course of the last several days. Yeah, I'm up here, of course, but I don't get too fired up about these things. I like results. I like election night when they call you and say, you're it. You know, that's what I, that's what I, you're with your family and that there's nothing like that moment. But I'll tell you, I told my daughter one time we were walking in. I said, honey, I said, remember this. I said, there's nothing like this when you're winning. I said, and there's nothing like it when you're losing. I said, just, just relish this time right now. But the problem we've got is we get to cocky, you know, it's like Cheryl Clinton. We thought we were going to beat him. He was a draft Dodger. Oh, man, everybody just thought it was, it was over. Now, I can remember on election night, we were at my house there in West Hills and where I used to live where I grew up. He's just me and daddy and he was still living then, of course, and he was an old World War II Marine combat. First Marine Division in the thick of it, Pelo, Okinawa, and then went to China and taught the Communists after that. But he, and he said the prayer that night, I'll never forget what he said. It was a real short and simple prayer. He said, Lord, please don't let us lose our country because Bill Clinton was being elected. And I looked across the table at a combat, hardened veteran and just seeing everything slip through his fingers like mercury. And so we, you know, and I think we as Republicans, we got a little cocky and we got to remember to down ticket, Congress, Senate, state rep, state senators, mayors, county commissioner, school boards. So vitally important, the future of our country, those school board races, those city council races, all those people. And I grew up in Knoxville, Tennessee, brother, and there, and we'll have maybe 15% of the population vote. We have an openly Marxist member of city council in Knoxville, Tennessee. And I don't wish any oil on that person, but I sure as hell don't want them sitting in an elected office. But that's what we're doing. And it's because we decide, you know, 20 million evangelical Christians decided not to go to the polls on election day. And that's, and, you know, I don't want the guy to teach, maybe my Sunday school teacher down at first Baptist Church. I want him to run the country. I want it when a dirt bag like Soleimani is obviously threatening, is killed Americans and he's moving on doing some more terrorism. I want a president that takes him out and that the way you have to identify is by the only thing left of him is his ring finger because he's got to speak fat ugly ring on his pointing finger. I saw the classified document or the classified pictures of him. And that's how they identified his shin bone was up against a guardrail. He didn't call like Bush and a lot of these other cats. He didn't call the United Nations. He didn't get a coalition of the willing. He didn't ask somebody for permission. He didn't say, we're going to bomb this factory tomorrow at noon, you know, so they could, and then everybody gets out. He did it. He took this guy out and no Americans lost their lives doing it. And that's what a leader is. And that's not what we have in this White House. No, it certainly isn't. And now when you see the internal coup that's happening within the Democrat party, you know, I mean, just recently Adam Schiff, Nancy Pelosi, even Barack Obama, and some of the major stars who even did fundraisers with Joe Biden is recently is a month ago. We're now saying like, you know, it's been good. It's been good for the country. Joe Biden. Great guy. We all know none of those things are true. But now it's time for him to step aside. I mean, it does cause a little bit of chaos and a mess for Democrats, but it's something that they're going to have to address. Between now and August when they have their convention. Yeah, and it shows the hierarchy. They have a different, their, their, their delegates to their convention and things. They have a system set up that's different from ours. You know, they have these super delegates. That's how Bernie, that's how Bernie lost. You know, he was a popular vote getter going in and Hillary Clinton stole it from him because she had these so-called super delegates that over read the others and they understood that they created a very crooked system, but it's legal. Because, I mean, it's not necessarily legal, but the courts have stepped in and said it's politics. We don't get in the middle of political fights. And that's what it is. And that's, you're going to see, it's going to be interesting watching their convention. They'll do their, you know, they do their nomination. I was going to say telegraphically, but they do it over the, you know, they don't, they don't do it in person. So it's going to be interesting how that plays out and the challenges there and things of that nature. And, you know, coming out of the convention, President Trump and JD Vance are already ready to hit the campaign trail. They're going to be in Grand Rapids, Michigan this weekend, a week after the assassination attempt on Donald Trump's life. You know, you talk about sometimes the elector, the voters can get a little bit complacent, especially when we're feeling good about things and the polls or the messaging is strong. But do you think that Donald Trump kind of understands that, especially after what happened in 2020? And that's why, regardless of the safety surrounding, I mean, his candidacy right now, he's getting right back out on the road because the country is more important than anything else at this point. 100%. 100%. Donald Trump gets that. JD Vance gets that. It's American during, and he's young, and he'll do the job. I firmly have a lot of confidence in JD. I like him. No, we like him and we like catching up with you, Congressman. Obviously, we've got your congressional website, live link in the show description today. Listen, if you want to give out the spicy Twitter handle, it's one of the ones I look at every morning when I wake up. We will live link that as well. Where can we find you? Yeah, at Tim Burchit, T-I-M-B-U-R-C-H-E-T-T, Tim Burchit. Absolutely fantastic as it is every time. We can catch up with the Congressman who's representing Tennessee too. Representative Burchit, thanks for joining us on the show today. Sir, have a great rest of your week. Thank you, brother. I appreciate you. And President Trump, St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle. Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him. We humbly pray. And do thou, O Prince, of the heavenly host, by the power of God cast into hell Satan and all the evil spirits who prowl about the world seeking the ruins of souls. Amen, and God bless President Trump. Alright, jumping back into the news portion of the show here. Last news segment of the week. And what a week it's been. That was the RNC opening up their programming tonight as the final night of the convention with a prayer to St. Michael, the Archangel. No, what do you think? There was definitely a spiritual vibe. I think when you talk about what the goals of the RNC was this year, in addition to completing the ticket for President Trump, it was to show that the face of the Republican party that we've known for so long is finished. And moving forward, it's going to be the party of the common men and women of this country. I mean, when you look at the lineup just up tonight, yes, there were a couple committee chairs and people in leadership and, you know, school board this and that. But when you look at the headliners, Hulk Hogan. It was amazing. Tucker Carlson. Dana White, Kid Rock. It's undeniably, they weren't just thrown into the last day because their buddies with President Trump. They were thrown into the last day and put together ahead of President Trump. Because moving forward, these are the voices that I really believe are going to be the ones who take this party in a new, brighter, bolder, innovative direction. What do you think? Yeah, I mean, there was a couple times where it got a little cheesy, but that's to be expected. That just happens. But, I mean, everybody that spoke that I listened to, I didn't catch the entire entire thing, I caught from like Tucker Carlson on anything before that I missed. Didn't miss too much. But it was solid. I mean, it was solid. All those guys coming up, Dana White was super cool. High energy. And then when Trump came out and they rolled out the fireman's duty gear, oof, man, I almost lost it. Yeah, I almost lost it a couple of times. I mean, Dana White got me really emotional, but in an energetic way. Hulk Hogan made me tear, yeah, just because, yeah, it's one of my childhood heroes. That's nostalgic. Yeah, and then, you know, President Trump, you know, when we get into his speaking, I mean, his tone, his half act changed when... He talked about and he said he was only going to talk about it once publicly. What happened less than a week ago in the assassination attempt on his life? Mm-hmm. It changed everything. I thought in the back of my mind that he might take off the bandage. Yeah. Yeah. Well, who knows what we see it on Saturday in Grand Rapids, Michigan? Who knows? But moving forward, I mean, we're eventually going to see it. And, you know, they talked about it. What do we even do plastic surgery or anything like that? Well, what if he did it like a hole in his ear? Yeah, I mean, I don't think a van der Holyfield fixed his. And there's still buddies. But, you know, Ronnie Jackson, who had been traveling with Donald Trump since the incident, you know, said it's very... It's in a part of the ear that if you just touch it, it starts to bleed. So he did what he could to keep it closed, and that's why that ear pillow was on there. Well, and he's an older dude. You don't want him to get an infection, because who knows where that leads to? Well, just ask Joe Biden. He's dealing with COVID for a third time. Oh, man, I didn't think I was going to use it. On that note, like, I feel like to some extent, Joe Biden is allowing himself to look weak right now. Like, when him walking up the stairs to Air Force One, and he was going, like, super slow and CNN or whoever it was, it's like, and Joe Biden going very slowly up the stairs. Two foot steps per one step is what you mean. Yeah, I think that to some extent, he's saving face. Did you see him needed to get helped into the beast? No, I didn't catch that. I mean, maybe it's legit. I don't know. I just feel like as much of a strong face as he's always tried to put on, even when he's tripping up the stairs multiple times, I just feel like he can't be this. I think the COVID thinks bullshit for one. I think that's their excuse to get rid of him to let him back out and not look like a total pussy. It's not an argument to, you know, where you could be proven wrong. I mean, I really do think there are a bunch of different angles working here. Listen, the Biden White House came out and said today, if people within the Democrat party, the donors, the backers, the lobbyists and people who are no longer in government want to continue to try and hijack the media narrative, basically saying like they're using the media to try and force them out by saying, "Oh, Joe Biden's going to announce by Sunday." And then they go and tell Joe Biden, "Oh, it's leaking that you're going to announce by Sunday. What are you going to do?" They said, "That's not the case." And Joe Biden has no plans of stepping down. So again, Joe and Joe Biden are the ones who control all the cards here. They control all the money. They control all the delegates. And you know, there's already been announcements today. We'll better off if he doesn't step down. No, we seriously would. And then like we had talked about for months here on the show, Gavin Newsom and Gretchen Whitmer had already said, if Joe Biden steps down, they do not want to be considered in this election cycle as alternatives to a ticket. So, you know, I've heard from a lot of people in D.C., and up in the beltway, Mayor Pete's the guy they're going to tap. He's irrelevant. Kamala Harris is irrelevant. They could lose to Donald Trump if Joe Biden gets out and they could both be out of the way for 2028 as losers. Essentially is what they were in the presidential primary and with their DEI picks into the Biden administration. So, let's get things started here and get things rolling. Before we do that, one thing, speaking of things that we've been talking about for months and months, I didn't say it on the day of or the day after, whatever it was. We did the show after the assassination attempt. I fucking called it. Yeah, you did. You did. I said the only thing they have left is to take a shot at the guy. And now everything that's coming out about them being aware of the guy for a fucking hour and having them in their sights for 10 minutes before Trump even went on stage, everything that I've seen makes it look like it was allowed to happen. Not necessarily that it was planned, but it was an advantageous situation that they allowed to happen. And that's the thing, too. We've talked to so many people who have worked in the government in different components, people in the military, et cetera. I think America needs to understand, and some people are really grandstanding on this. They make the Secret Service detail that was around President Trump, which was essentially the D team because of how thin they were. You had Joe Biden and Philly. Well, they benched his normal team for some reason. No, because the NATO summit, they took all the A team and all the big-time politicians from all over the world who were in DC, the NATO summit ended on Thursday. They all stayed in DC through the weekend, so they had to keep the detail there. That's why Trump didn't get it back. But people don't understand. The Secret Service is Secret Service, like every agency, whether it's local cops, the California Highway Patrol, or a component of the federal government, they all have their special operator teams, their SRTs and stuff like that, right? But it's like all of these field agents, they are field agents. They go to the same qualifications, they get the same lame-ass training that has no ramifications on to what their job might seriously entail someday, which is literally using yourself as a human shield to protect a high-value asset. And people don't think that these are just, they think they're secret agents or super soldiers that they get off work, they go lift until they go back to work the next day and just eat raw meat and stuff like that. These are just normal people. Yeah, even the female chief wiggum. Yeah, exactly. And the thing is, the longer you work in the federal government, essentially, the worse shape you're in, and you can see it at every single one of these things. I mean, there are the hulks like the people that surrounded Donald Trump as he walked into the RNC for the first time on Monday. But the fact of the matter is, listen, run-of-the-mill agents are run-of-the-mill agents, and that's just all they are. They're just regular people. Yeah, the people that don't normally get this kind of work, like they don't do this. Maybe they go to the training once a month or once a year or whatever for doing a presidential detail, but that's another one of the things. It's like it was like the perfect storm. All you got to do is throw Jill Biden in to take away the rest of the competent people and then you have left. And a couple people that want to hang out in Washington, D.C. and party at the hotels from the Nando Selman all weekend. It's sucky, but it was just like a perfect storm, and I think instead of an inside job, just a combination of a perfect example of how the administrative state works. A whole bunch of people that are unqualified, that shouldn't be in positions that they are, that have no idea what it's like. So many supervisors and managers within the federal government at the highest levels, for the most part, by the time they get appointed, they've never even worked at number one for the agency and number two in the field. Yeah. You know, Alejandro Mayorgas is a perfect example of that. Two years ago, we went down to the border with a Border Patrol jacket on. A Border Patrol jacket has a badge on it. Fucking officers, the grunts told them, "You didn't earn that jacket. You didn't know the academy. Take that fucking shit off." And these are the bosses. You know, you get these DEI hires, these Fupa Heaven sloppy girls, that have never been to the range in their life. They put a badge on their belt, and they tell everybody what to do, and they have no idea how the real world works. And, you know, there's just a big disconnect, and a lot of it needs to be cleaned out, and it's going to be up to President Trump and the team he hires to do that. They were on full display this week in Milwaukee. So let's jump into it here. I think we have to start with Hulk Hogan. I mean, he led into Kid Rock, who led into Tucker Carlson, who led into Dana White, and it was just fantastic. But when you talk about, you know, I didn't know who we were getting. Were we getting the man? Were we getting the man? You know, was he going to be in character? And, listen, he left very little to the imagination. After he walked up to the podium, normal, and then grabbed it, I knew. The only thing that was missing was me and Gene Ochrelin. God rest his soul. But, you know, I tell you what, Hulk Hogan knocked it out of the park for someone, and he admitted it. I've gone my entire career as an entertainer and have had the ability to just stay out of politics. I don't need to worry about it. I don't need to make my opinion public. But I've seen what has happened in this country over the last four years, and I've seen what happened to my friend Donald Trump. Well, I shouldn't ruin it for you. Let's check it out. What happened last week when they took a shot at my hero? And they tried to kill the next President of the United States. Oh, no! Was enough! And I said, "Let Trump-a-mania run wild, brother. Let Trump-a-mania rule again. Let Trump-a-mania make America great again." And it was at that point that we had gotten all three. I mean, I was waiting to get out of the car to go into the gym, and I swear to God, I had to wipe the tears out of my eyes like a little plus. People were walking past my car, and the speakers were like chanting USA so loud. Sorry for all our listeners. I've got to be catching that part of the podcast at a traffic light this week. But, you know, here's the thing. We need a shot in the arm. We need to be all the way back. You know, you could tell President Trump has been through some trauma. He carries it so well. The guy is so stoic. He's a pro. I've never seen anybody like him. I, personally, if what happened to him happened to me, I don't know how you would take the snow out. You know, you get shot. Somebody behind you dies. A whole bunch of other people get hit. You get slammed to the ground. Your shoes go flying off. You get thrown in the limo. And then within 48 hours, are you walking into a public event that's filled up with tens of thousands of people that are expecting you to be you again? I mean, it's just like the way the world works, Donald Trump kind of navigates in his own waters. And it was just really reassuring to see how strong he looked in his speech tonight. But when you talk about the rest of the lineup, that brought him out to accept the nomination, they just set it up for him perfectly. I mean, when Hulk Hogan was busting the moves right there, they had the split screen with Donald Trump. The smile was so big, so big. And then when Hulk Hogan was done, he blew him a kiss. And then when Donald Trump did his speech, he told him he was fantastic. So you know that really, Donald Trump loves wrestling. He plays the Undertaker theme song for all of his rallies. He's really good friends and has been for decades with the McMans. And he just really appreciates. He talks about it. There's an entertainment value to it, but when you talk about the level of athleticism, it takes to perform at that level. Like he said, this guy could pick a 350 pound person up over his head, press him, and then bench press him two rows deep into the audience out of the ring. Well, Trump got a little, Trump got a little physical a couple times when he was doing his little cameos. Of course, that's six months run on WWE during the Attitude Arrow. It's like, and you want to know it sucks. I see a lot of these liberal outlets today because Vince and Linda McMahon were in attendance. Linda McMahon spoke tonight, you know, as one of the undercards. And people were putting up like the stupidest parts of the Attitude Arrow. Like, here's people simulating blowjobs. Here's Vince McMahon using the N word. It's just like, okay, how about you put up all these douchebags that the liberals go and get interviewed on, like Jimmy Kimmel and Jimmy Fallon. And let's go back to their blackface days and stuff like that. And if you want to kind of, you know, compare, it's theater. It was literally theater. You know, listen, wrestling was what it was. I hope it comes back. It's going to Netflix. They said it's going to be more rated R-ish, not towards like the porn way, but towards the Attitude Arrow. I don't know how that kind of fits in this day and age, but I guess we'll have to see when it gets there. I watched WrestleMania. I paid for the pay-per-view with my son. I watched some of the undercards. I mean, the championship match was pretty much all my son really wanted to see for '99, '99. But, you know, it's one of those things where it's bad. It's just a different product than it was. A different generation of people that consume it as well. One more clip from Hulk Hogan. He did kind of put, well, just about everybody on the baddies list. I'll notice. Let's check it out. Of the American Dream. And I want my kids, your kids, and all those little teeny Hulkamaniacs out there. To live the American Dream, too. This November, guys, we can save the American Dream for everyone. And Donald Trump is the president who will get the job done. So all you criminals, all you low-lifes, all you scumbags, all you drug dealers, and all you crooked politicians need to answer one question, brother. I love it. What you gonna do when Donald Trump and all the Trumpamaniacs run wild on you, brother? God bless you, and thank you. [applause] Trump blew the kiss. [applause] That was great. And you talk about it in the middle of all that. You sprinkle in, again, prayer to the saint. Michael, the archangel, you had Franklin Graham come in and, you know, pray over the entire convention. It was the perfect balance of, like, brains, brawn, you know, culture and compassion that I think the nation needs right now. A lot more people than you'll probably ever know tuned in tonight. And I think they saw a different version of Donald Trump, the one that more of America is learning every day. Isn't the version that they've heard about in the media for the last decade? And, you know, bringing back some of the blasts from the past is what made the completion and the conclusion of the RNC all essentially great again. How epic was the opera singer at the end? Oh, man. He loves that song. It is a man's world. Yep. And, oh, how important was it for Melania Trump to be there? Well, why wouldn't she be there? And to see her show up right before Donald Trump took the stage, they embraced, exchanged a kiss, were holding hands. You know, the guy had to be nervous. I mean, I can't even begin to fathom what's going through President Trump's mind right now after what happened. And, you know, to have the support openly of his family, I don't remember, she's been off the trail, but she's gone through a lot. You know, she's had her family attack. She's had the potentiality of her husband going to jail essentially forever, hanging over their heads. You know, all of these nasty things that have come out in the media, which are complete fallacy, they've, you know, targeted the sons and, you know, it's even barren and tried to make it, you know, difficult for him to get involved with his father's politics. And then she lost her mother recently. So, you know, it's one of those things where I just think it was great that she was there. They looked extremely happy at the end of the rally. But we're going to keep this rolling right now. I've got two quickies from Tucker Carlson. And, well, first of all, he was paying a little bit of homage to President Joe Biden. Let's check it out. But if you think about it in the presidency, it comes with great power, obviously. But if you think about it, that is a title that is bestowed by a process of some sort that can be subverted. And in the end, it does not confer by itself, as no title does, legitimacy. Just because you call yourself the president doesn't mean that much inherently. I can call my dog the CEO of Hewlett Packard. It doesn't mean she is. You know, it's true. And you hate to say it, but it is also true is a fact that you could take, I don't know, a mannequin, a dead person and make him president. No, you could. You could. I'm just saying theoretically possible. With enough cheating, that could happen. I'd love to hear it. You know, Donald Trump made very few mentions of the 2020 presidential election. But to have people throughout the week kind of talk about too big to rig. And they use the guys of COVID and Tucker Carlson. Remember, he used to kick people off of his show because Fox News told him to right after the 2020 presidential election because they said there was no cheating. Now it's full in. Like for anyone in America who thinks 81 million votes didn't carry enough political capital to last three years. It's not the way politics work. It never has. No. You can't take essentially the most popular political figure in the history of the galaxy and say within three years we're fucking done with it. One popular than his predecessor that he was vice president for. Wild. Wild. And you know, it's like everything about Joe Biden has been fake. Everything about Joe Biden has been a big lie. And the more people that are coming to that realization is why you see the Democrat party in crisis mode. No, what do you think the attitude is at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue tonight? And I'm talking about from the perspective of probably Jill Biden because Joe gets tucked in shortly after eight p.m. so he didn't even make it through the speech. But now he's he didn't even catch it. They're going to show him the cliff notes edited to not make him mad. Oh man. The pretending I have COVID to get off the campaign trail. The bar with his dad. What's the matter with you? I got the black lung pop. Oh my gosh. It's been going around and it's just like I hope this guy clings to that presidency. Clings to it harder than he's clinging to life itself. I want to see if this is going to go down. It has to be Caesar like it's got to be out and figuratively the knives are out. But will we see them for real? One more from Tucker Carlson and this is a little bit more of a heartfelt part of, you know, less than 10 minutes that he spoke and he was talking about. Listen, we've been talking about final form Trump for a long time in the show. You know, I'm a huge dragon ball fan. Final form sell was perfect sell. Donald Trump, I thought over the course of the last several years has made that ascension. He's not gobbling up androids, but he is becoming the polished politician that is going to be what essentially defines his legacy. And Tucker Carlson said he saw a continuance of that transformation following the assassination attempt last week. Let's check it out. When he stood up after being shot in the face, bloodied, and put his hand up, I thought at that moment that was a transformation. This was no longer a man. Well, I think that. I think it was divine intervention, but the effect that it had on Donald Trump, he was no longer just a political party's nominee or a former president or a future president, this was the leader of a nation. And I think there's a difference. I've spent most of my life in Washington where the president is at the top of the pyramid, Deborah, wants to be the president. But if you think about it, the presidency comes with great power, obviously. But if you think about it, that is a title that is bestowed by a process of some sort that can be subverted. And in the end, it does not confer by itself, as no title does, legitimacy. So I mean, even Tucker saw it. There's a difference about President Trump. And it's not because he sat back in his chair. It's not because he shared quality time with his older sons or his young grandchildren. It wasn't because of how he looked emotional at some points when people throughout the week were paying homage and lending credit to his first term in office and the resilience that he's shown since the assassination attempt on his life. It's just that so many figures in the world are compared to the greats. But in reality, when you kind of break him down, they're not. Reagan comes to mind. A lot of people glorify him. And not that he wasn't a fantastic president. Not that something similar didn't happen to him when somebody tried to kill him as well. And not that he didn't get a lot of things done for the country. There's just something different about Donald Trump right now that I think is going to finally seal the deal and let him be like one of those pivotal world leaders that kind of shifted and changed the face of Western civilization and got us in a new direction. If it's steering us back towards being a wholesome, loving country, again, I'm all for it. And if Donald Trump could take on the deep state and the administrative state and win with a sprinkling of promises kept in the second administration, there's not going to be anybody that's ever going to be able to touch him in modern politics ever again. That's just my opinion. But moving forward, it's as clear as day. So last one I've got before we jump into President Trump's speeches, obviously his great friend, Dana White, they joked back and forth. Dana was on vacation on a yacht out in the middle of the ocean. He took a helicopter to a jet and then made it over to his constant in time to introduce his good friend. And when you talk about someone who is like the standard bearer of what makes a warrior, I think as the CEO and President of Ultimate Fighting over the years, Dana White has seen it, not just the physical capacity of men, but the character and the heart and the courage and the mindset that it takes to survive in a place like the UFC. Yeah, the mental fortitude it takes to do that. And when you can attest the same credit to some of the greatest warriors who have ever fought in the octagon to a businessman, billionaire, entrepreneur, entertainer, and former president, that says a lot. You know, they're still part of me that can't believe, like Tucker Carlson said, they saw this man stand up and put his fist in the air last weekend in the midst of an active shooter situation. When even though people were saying there was no more threat, nobody had any fucking idea if there was any more threat. No, shooter is down. Yeah, but we don't know who he's with. Exactly. So, you know, it's one of those things where... Can you imagine just on the nightmarish thing that there was more of a concerted effort to get this done and they actually had like a backup shooter and he wouldn't put his hands up and then he got blasted? That would be epically awful. Yeah, it certainly would have. And, you know, for as much as I don't really dabble in quantum physics but would like to know more about it, how did that situation last Saturday turn out in the multiverse? For reals. Like, how many times did President Trump not turn towards the graphic? You know, it's an interesting question, but when you see the divine intervention that it had to have taken to save that man's life, it's just wild to see, you know, President Trump having survived that assassination attempt. All right, here's Dana White talking to the everyday man and woman in this country saying like, listen, you don't have to listen to him, but he's going to make very clear why he's voting for Donald Trump in this upcoming election. Choice is clear, but this election, we all get to choose. I know I'm going to choose strength and security. I know I'm going to choose opportunity and prosperity. I know I'm going to choose real American leadership and a real American badass. And I'm not telling you what choice to make and I'm not telling you what to think. I'm telling you what I know. I know America needs a strong leader and the world needs a strong America. I know Donald J. Trump is the best choice for President of the United States. Good stuff from the UFC president and no lies detected. So as we're going to jump into this now, you know, Donald Trump took the stage, came out. I thought it was awesome the way they did the Trump with lights. I've already got a couple of pictures saved. I would say not as WWE-ish as 2016 was, but I think for what we needed today, it's a feist. And then, you know, it's more about the messaging and where we've gone over the course of the last eight years to, you know, ensure that Donald Trump gets the message out to the American people and that, you know, this really has to hit home with the average man and woman. Because our country is at such a point right now. I mean, I don't think enough people know what taken into consideration. The situation with Joe Biden is such a constitutional crisis and the media is making it all about, oh, well, the Democrats are scared that they're not going to be able to win the house and steal it from the republic. Like, literally, all they care about is power. But by getting Joe Biden to get out of this race with still four months until election day and then all the way until January 20th, until Donald Trump could potentially be sworn in. Who the fuck is going to be running this country? Well, who the fuck's running the country right now? Yeah. Yeah. It's Dr. Jill Obama, and then you have all the holdovers, you know, Jake Sullivan, Tony Blinken, Susan Rice, John Kerry. It's, yeah, it's crazy. But I mean, and I think that's one of the biggest things. The Biden team probably has to be asking in some context, like, how can we do this, especially after what the Robert Hurled special investigation into the documents case? Okay, committed crimes, felony level, not mentally capable of standing trial. Now he's getting out of the race for X, Y, or Z. You have a huge discrepancy there on the leader of the free world. It's just nuts. I don't think a lot of people are taking that into consideration because the Democrats are making it all about their power. And you have to look at how dangerous this is for us on the world stage, too, because it's obvious that there's nobody driving the bus right now. Yeah, we're in. We were millimeters away from having America turn into violent upheaval, potentially. And if nothing else, then huge economic devastation. Yup. Because the stock market would be trash. Everything would happen. Did you hear about the company that shorted the DJT stock? Like, like a million, like $15 million or some shit like that? Oh, yeah. Devin Nunes has been leading some, you know, trying to get with the SEC to do some investigations into this because, yeah, they've been trying to wreck the company. Well, no, when you look at them shorting it, they shorted it more in that one day than it had been shorted in the entire time that the stock has been up. And they've been shorting it and trying to fuck it up for a long time. There's another one of those things that makes you, you know, it makes you think that somebody knew that this shit was coming. It's crazy. It wasn't planned, but they knew that some fucking wackadoo had an idea. Yeah. No, I completely agree with you. And I tell you what, this is all going to come back around. We used to say it was all going to come back around, but we'd say it with a grain of salt because we never thought it would come back around like it's come back around. Now it's going to come back around again. This is literally what the Titanic looked like when the men were trying to push the women and children out of the lifeboats and not even being joking in any kind of context. This is literally it. So, I mean, the first transgenders were probably identified on the decades of Titanic as she was going under. Man, but let's jump into this. Donald Trump addressing not just the Republican Party. And you want to know what Noah? That was my favorite part of the speech. We've been saying it for a long time because people were just like, oh, no, we don't want to let these people in. It kind of makes us moderate. It kind of makes us. Donald Trump wants to run on common sense. He's running to be the President of the United States, not the President of the Republican Party. He literally said the words that we've been saying on the show for weeks now in his speech tonight. I thought it was absolutely amazing, but here he is addressing all the citizens who were tuning in. Let's check it out. I'm here tonight to lay out a vision for the whole nation to every citizen, whether you're a young or old man or woman, Democrat, Republican or independent, black or white, Asian or Hispanic. I extend to you a hand of loyalty and of friendship. Together we will lead America to new heights of greatness like the world has never seen before. We were right there in the first term. We got hit with COVID. We did a great job. Nobody knew what it was, but nobody's ever seen an economy pre-COVID. And then we handed over a stock market that was substantially higher than just prior to COVID. Coming in did a great job. Never got credit for that. We got credit for the war and defeating ISIS and so many things, the great economy, the biggest tax cuts ever, the biggest regulation cuts ever, the creation of Space Force, the rebuilding of our military. We did so much. We did so much. Right to trying. Right to try is a big... You know, one of the things he alluded to at Space Force II as well, he went back to saying that Ronald Reagan had a vision for Space Force, but he couldn't articulate it with the technology at the time and implement it to be significant to the United States. And he actually said it was a shame that they used to make fun of him for something like this. And then actually said taking it to the next level would be the iron dome that he wants to put up around the United States. When you look at the potential of how high the sky is the limit in the next administration, I mean Donald Trump is shooting for the stars. One of the biggest things that the Biden administration has pushed on and it actually probably contributed to what happened in Butler, Pennsylvania last weekend was calling Donald Trump an existential threat to democracy. That was one of the top talking points he led into his speech with tonight. Let's check it out. In an age when our politics too often divide us, now is the time to remember that we are all fellow citizens. We are one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. And we must not criminalize dissent or demonize political disagreement, which is what's been happening in our country lately at a level that nobody has ever seen before. In that spirit, the Democrat party should immediately stop weaponizing the justice system and labeling their political opponent as an enemy of democracy. Especially since that is not true. In fact, I am the one saving democracy for the people of our country. I also thought it was amazing that at a point in his rally tonight, he referred to the United States as a republic. It's when he was paying homage to the founding fathers of the framers and the revolutionaries who founded our nation. It was at that point very close to the beginning of the rally when he got into talking about the incident. It was hard to hear, but it was probably good for him to work through in an environment that he was comfortable in front of the cameras and before the nation. And we're going to jump into that right now and hear how he kind of, you know, walked through the way he saw it jake down in Butler, Pennsylvania last weekend. It began this evening by expressing my gratitude to the American people for your outpouring of love and support following the assassination attempt at my rally on Saturday. As you already know, the assassins bullet came within a quarter of an inch of taking my life. So many people have asked me what happened, tell us what happened, please. And therefore I will tell you exactly what happened and you'll never hear it from me a second time because it's actually too painful to tell. I started to, like this, turn to my right and was ready to begin a little bit further turn, which I'm very lucky I didn't do. When I heard a loud whizzing sound and felt something hit me really, really hard on my right ear, I said to myself, wow, what was that? It can only be a bullet and moved my right hand to my ear, brought it down, my hand was covered with blood, just absolutely blood all over the place. I immediately knew it was very serious that we were under attack and in one movement proceeded to drop to the ground. Bullets were continuing to fly as very brave secret service agents rushed to the stage and they really did, they rushed to the stage. I'm not supposed to be here tonight, not supposed to be here. Thank you. That's where he almost cried. But I'm not, and I'll tell you, I stand before you in this arena only by the grace of Almighty God. When I rose surrounded by secret service, the crowd was confused because they thought I was dead and there was great, great sorrow. I could see that on their faces as I looked out. They didn't know I was looking out, they thought it was over, but I could see it. I wanted to do something to let them know I was okay. I raised my right arm, looked at the thousands and thousands of people that were breathlessly waiting and started shouting, fight, fight, fight. Anyone that was crazy about that, one of the parts that was edited out, well, the beginning was funny. I kind of remember when he started talking about it, he was like, it was a warm summer evening, the sun was setting, back drop was beautiful. That was moist. That's how he kind of let him. But there was a part right towards the end there where he was talking about the people and he said, do you want to know what the weirdest thing about all that was? I thought he was going to say how he survived. But he's like, any time you see anything like that, anywhere else, what happens? The people go crazy. They stampede, they run in all different directions. It's weird to me as I stood up. He's like, all these people as far back as I could see, they're all just looking at me to see if I'm okay. Nobody ran. Nobody was freaking out. Like, the air was taken out. But I mean, you see it, whether it's a park or a sporting event or a crowded street. You know, a gun pops off and everybody runs in every direction. Kids are getting dropped, people are getting trampled. And he thinks that, for some reason, it didn't happen that situation and a lot more lives were preserved. And I have to kind of agree with him there. Yeah, mass panic with people trampling each other, that would have been epic. 50,000 people running in all different directions at once. Yeah. I don't think we know how close to just an absolute wild situation that really could have been. And, you know, after that, he would honestly, you know, you could tell emotionally he was getting welled up. And then I don't even know how he had the fortitude to do it. But the family of the man who died, Corey Campertore, they sent, he was a retired fire chief. And they sent his uniform. They put it on a mannequin and they brought it out, you know, stage right. And Donald Trump went over and, you know, rubbed over the shoulder and talked about how brave people need to be to do jobs like this and how he saved his family. The man was the hero of the day. And asked for a moment of silence, man. It was just that the air was so thick, you could feel it as you're watching it. And it's just, it's crazy. So, you know, it's one of those things where he would quickly segue back to policy. But I think kind of working through that with the people was absolutely huge. You know, one of the biggest things that everybody was excited about throughout the course of this week, besides the fact that Donald Trump was okay, was the announcement of his vice presidential pick, Ohio Senator J.D. Vance. He was in attendance and sitting in the grandstands with Melania Trump and the rest of the Trump family. And at some point near, I would say heading towards the middle of the RNC address, Donald Trump would recognize his counterpart on the ticket. Let's hear it. But I'm thrilled to have a new friend and partner fighting by my side. The next vice president of the United States, the current senator from Ohio, J.D. Vance, that is incredible wife, Ulsha. [Applause] He's going to be a great vice president. He's going to be great. He'll be with this country and with his movement, greatest movement in the history of our country. Make America great again. When they criticize it, they say, "We're going to try and stop Maggie." I said, "Magg is making America great again. What are you going to stop? There's nothing to stop." Maybe you've heard of it? Then they say, "Oh, that's right. It's very tough to fight it." And all of the people that did try and fight it have failed, but he's going to be with us for a long time. And it was an honor to select him. Great, great student at Yale. His wife was a great student at Yale. They met at Yale. These are two smart people. [Applause] J.D., you're going to be doing this for a long time. Enjoy the ride. [Applause] Good times. We talked about the vice presidential pick for a long time. We also encourage our listenership to have an open mind when Donald Trump made his final selection, us included. But you never know what you're going to feel until you go through it. But seeing the amount of people that have come out, and it might have been politicians that didn't necessarily agree with Donald Trump, people that didn't line up to him ideologically when it came to policy. Even people outside of the administration who aren't so willing to get behind this ticket. I've seen a lot of the feedback, and it's been outside of the liberal press in the mainstream media where they're like, "No, Donald Trump found a clone of himself in the beard." It's like, "Shut the fuck up." They should be worried about how bad Kamala Harris is going to get destroyed. If they stay in their positions right now, and they have that vice presidential debate, which they've already agreed to do. I thought Trump didn't want to do it because they didn't know who the vice president was going to be on their side. I think they've got the date post DNC, which would put it damn near close to September. Oh, wow. Yeah, and that's where the next... Remember, the next presidential debate is scheduled for September 9th. I mean, that's less than two months before we go and vote for the president. So it's not like many people at that point are going to be changing their mind, especially when Donald Trump, who usually keeps a robust campaign schedule, is getting ready to hit the road. But again, as soon as this Saturday, where he'll be in Grand Rapids, Michigan, he points it out at all the rallies. And even though he tried not to invoke Joe Biden by name, he did accidentally slip. And he realized as soon as he said it, you saw it now, and he's like, "Oh, I said I was going to say his name, but I'm only going to say it once." He blamed him for the current state of our nation, which unfortunately is a nation in decline. Let's check it out. For the current administration, we are indeed a nation in decline. We have an inflation crisis that is making life unaffordable, ravaging the incomes of working and low-income families, and crushing, just simply crushing our people. Like never before, they've never seen anything like it. We also have an illegal immigration crisis, and it's taking place right now. As we sit here in this beautiful arena, it's a massive invasion on our southern border that has spread misery, crime, poverty, disease, and destruction to communities all across our land. Nobody's ever seen anything like it. Then there's an international crisis, the likes of which the world has seldom been part of. Nobody can believe what's happening. War is now raging in Europe, in the Middle East, a growing specter of conflict hangs over Taiwan, Korea, the Philippines, and all of Asia. And our planet is teetering on the edge of World War III, and this will be a war like no other war because of weaponry. The weapons are no longer army tanks going back and forth, shooting at each other. These weapons are obliteration. It's time for a change. This administration can't come close to solving the problems. We're dealing with very tough, very fierce people. They're fierce people. And we don't have fierce people. We have people that are a lot less than fierce, except when it comes to cheating on elections and a couple of other things. Then they're fierce. Then they're fierce. I knew it was going to happen. Hey, did you hear the breaking news? The Trump team has announced that for the first time since 2020, Donald Trump and Mr. Credit himself are going to have a one-on-one phone call on Monday. You're going to have to come to Jesus talk? Yeah, listen. Do you want to know what my favorite part was when Donald Trump and Jim Jong-un missed him? That made me laugh. Yeah, these guys are such tyrannical dictators. And I think he misses me, to be honest. He was tough to deal with. He was a tough one. I'll be quite honest with you. I think he misses me. You know he probably does. They're going to have that clip and then it's going to be the Donald Trump as Wolverine, writing the heart on the face of Kim Jong-un on the picture now. You know it's coming. All of our memeers out there get to work. One of the biggest things I think the strongest pillar, it undertoned the entire speech outside of the assassination attempt. It's the border. The open border has wrecked everything. It's increased crime. It's eliminated jobs. It's ruined the health care system. It's fucked up schools. Safety in the streets. You name it. The 20 million people by election day that Joe Biden will let into this country have brought us back decades and it's going to take more than a village to fix it. And I really think that outside of that he touched on some energy independence stuff and inflation. But I think the super strongest messaging that he was trying to push is the illegal problem. And I really do think he's trying to get America comfortable. I mean there was another poll that came out this week. It's almost up to 70% now. And they were talking about totally deporting everyone. Did you see Donald Trump troll CNN because they always say that he's like off of his rocker because he talks about Hannibal Lecter? Yeah I saw him start doing the late grade Hannibal Lecter again. I was like oh here he goes. He's fucking doing it to him again. They're losing their shit right now. Maybe you've heard of him. He likes to have friends for dinner. But it's the thing he always talks about like and call it a scare tactic. Call it a political point. He's saying these are the people that are getting let out of prisons and other countries and sent to the United States. That's the comparison he makes with Hannibal Lecter. I mean that's a legitimate thing to think because a lot of these places. Okay so you have your worst of the worst wing. All right well hey everybody. Do you guys want to bag lunch in a plane ticket? Yeah. And he talked about that too. He said man I used to hate when I would try to send people back and ICE would call me and say oh President Trump this country said they're not taking their people back. And then Donald Trump was like don't worry I'll take care of it. It calls the world leader. Hey I see that you get six billion dollars a year an aid from us. And now I heard you're not taking your criminals back which we've apprehended here legally in the United States. The aid ends immediately. Like I hang up the phone. The aid is gone. And he's like they don't even let me get off the phone. And they say oh no Mr. Trump we would love to have our MS-13 members flown back. No he says they call him back. We very much love to have our MS-13. We were very fond of them. It's crazy. You know and like I said I got a good clip on the immigration crisis and what's going on with all the illegals let's hear it. Just recently I spoke to the grieving mother of Jocelyn Nungari a wonderful woman. A precious 12 year old girl from Houston who last month was tied up assaulted and strangled to death after walking to the convenience store just a block away from her house. Her body was dumped near the side of the road in a shallow creek found by some onlookers who couldn't believe what they had witnessed. Charged with Jocelyn's heinous murder to illegal aliens from Venezuela who came across our border were in custody and were then released into the country by this horrible horrible administration that we have right now. I also met recently with the heartbroken mother and sister of Rachel Moran. Rachel was a 37 year old mom of five beautiful children who was brutally raped and murdered while out on a run she wanted to keep herself in good shape. It was very important that she was murdered. The monster responsible first killed another woman in El Salvador before he was led into America by the White House. This White House let them in. He then attacked a nine year old girl and her mother in a home invasion in Los Angeles before murdering Rachel in Maryland. Traveled all throughout the country doing tremendous damage. Rachel's mother will never be the same. I spent time with her. She will never be the same. I've also met with the wonderful family of Lake and Riley, the brilliant 22 year old nursing student. She was so proud of being first in her class who was out for a jog on the campus of the University of Georgia when she was assaulted, beaten and horrifically killed. Yet another American life was stolen by a criminal alien set free by this administration. These were incredible people we're talking about. These were incredible people who died. Tonight America, this is my vow. I will not let these killers and criminals into our country. I will keep our sons and daughters safe. As we bring security to our streets, we will help bring stability to the world. Big talking point right there. And I think one of the had to hit. And you know, as we're getting ready to wrap here and get into the final couple pieces I've got on Donald Trump, I think, you know, you talk about the nation in decline for so long. But it's also how mentally the country's been kind of led down the road of keep your expectations low. You know, if you can get up in the morning and barely eat, pay out the friggin ass for gas. Go to your shit job and get yelled at by some deir boss, make it home and not get raped and murdered. That's the American dream. And that's not the way our country is supposed to be. Donald Trump has realized that the American dream has experienced a lot of erasure under Joe Biden in this tyrannical regime. And wants America to come back and start raising our expectations again. Let's hear it. Too long our nation is settled for too little. We settle for too little. We've given everything to other nations, to other people. You've been told to lower your expectations and to accept less for your families. I am here tonight with the opposite message. Your expectations are not big enough. Not big enough. Time to start expecting and demanding the best leadership in the world, leadership that is bold, romantic, relentless and fearless. We can do that. We are Americans. Ambition is our heritage. Greatness is our birthright. But as long as our energies are spent fighting each other, our destiny will remain out of reach. And that's not acceptable. And it kind of led into the conclusion, you know, about talking how the founding fathers and our ancestors in this country, the ones who beat all odds to found this republic, had to come together in the worst of circumstances and go in with the mentality of just never giving up, which led to the place which we are at this moment in time, albeit. Looks kind of bleak in some instances, but now we just got to never give up again. Let's hear it. Our American ancestors across the Delaware survived the icy winter at Valley Forge and defeated a mighty empire to establish our cherished republic. They fought so hard. They lost so many. They pushed thousands and thousands of miles across a dangerous frontier, taming the wilderness to build a life and a magnificent home for their family. They packed their families into covered wagons, trekked across hazardous trails, scaled towering mountains and braved rivers and rapids to stake their claim on the wide open, new and very beautiful frontier. When our way of life was threatened, American patriots marched onto the battlefield, raced into enemy strongholds and stared down death and stared down those enemies to keep alive the flame of freedom. At Yorktown Gettysburg and Midway they joined the roll call of a mortal hero in so many horror, just so many heroes, so many great, great people, and we have to cherish those people. We can't forget those people. We have to cherish those people. And building monuments to those great people is a good thing, not a bad thing. Let's do it. They saved our country. No challenge was too much. No hardship was too great. No enemy was too fierce. Together these patriots sold it on and endured and they prevailed because they had faith in each other, faith in their country, and above all they had faith in their God. Just like our ancestors, we must now come together, rise above past differences. Any disagreements have to be put aside and go forward, united as one people, one nation, pledging allegiance to one great, beautiful, I think it's so beautiful American flag. It's my American flag. I just got a new one. The other day in the mail unfurled it. Got all the creases out. Nice. I tried to have the biggest one on the block. That's what she said. One of my neighbors just put up a fucking giant one on 4th of July. I get so big you can hear it. I got a five by eight right now. No, this thing's like, it's got to be like 20 feet. Is it a flagpole flag? Oh, yeah. See, I have a mini flagpole that gets drilled into my garage. One of those angle ones that pops out. Yeah, but the flag so big it almost touches the cars. I like it. It's better than the Ukraine flag. This is the top of my street. And then in the last clip that I got, and as our last audio clip of the week, Donald Trump would bring it home, not really into the traditional make America great again, but talking about how, which I think the messaging really hit home on was together, we can all save this country. Let's take it out. Nothing will sway us. Nothing will slow us. And no one will ever stop us. No matter what dangers come our way, no matter what obstacles lie in our path, we will keep striving toward our shared and glorious destiny. And we will not fail. We will not fail. Together we will save this country. We will restore the Republic and we will usher in the rich and wonderful tomorrow's that our people so truly deserve America's future will be bigger, better, bolder, brighter, happier, stronger, and more united than ever before. And quite simply put, we will very quickly make America great again. Thank you very much. Thank you very much, Wisconsin. God bless you. God bless you Wisconsin and God bless the United States of America. Our great country. Thank you very much everybody. Thank you. Cue the balloons. There's a lot of balloons. Cue the Trump family. Listen, it seems awkward to have them stand there that long. Oh, it's always the way it is though. You know, if I have one critique, I would hate that if it was me. This is just me. Remember Monty Trump's a model, Donald Trump's essentially a personality, media personality. I mean, the guy does rallies. He doesn't move for 90 minutes. But yeah, it's for the pictures. It's for the optics. And it's to show solidarity with the rest of the nation and for the television audience. I mean, don't call me Dave Portnoy, but I'm going to give this one a 9.3 out of 10. A 10 out of 10 is on a different emotional plane, not having to go through what President Trump went through less than a week ago. I think we could save the 10 out of 10s for the victory speech for his inaugural address, maybe even see it out on the rally. This will be though probably the highest rated speech of the season so far. 9.3. I'm giving it no rate it. Oh, it's Lisa 9.5. And if you want, we'll give it. Listen, let's meet in the middle. 9.4, steak for breakfast average, Dave Portnoy stamp, but with the apparatus bell. And here's the thing. My one critique. I loved that Lee Greenwood had a live rendition of God Bless the USA, but the non-recorded version of Hold On, I'm Coming, it just didn't hit the same way. Listen, all I have to do is wait until Saturday and we'll see it then. But when you talk about the overall nature and mood and direction Donald Trump has as part of his vision for this country, I think we're in the right place where we need to be. So we're going to leave it with that and it's going to conclude our programming in regards to the news of the week. We do have one more interview. We're going to be catching up with the Florida Young Republicans calm director Megan Etting champ. But before we do, one last check in with one of our partners. She's the comms director for the Florida Young Republicans welcoming back to the show Megan Etting camp. Welcome back. Hey, nice to be back. No, it's great to have you. And you know, it's a busy week up in Wisconsin. And you know, I had some reservations going in. People being added to the guest list. You know, obviously people were a little bit probably apprehensive with Nikki Haley and Ron Sanchez performing. But, you know, so far so good. When you talk about unifying the party coalescing behind President Trump, I mean, bending in the knee and kissing the ring, you have to admit for the short list of people who didn't want to check their egos and jump in on this ticket with Donald Trump, it seems to have been up to this point heading into tonight's finale. A pretty historic Republican National Convention. What do you think? Uh, I mean, I think you hit the head on the nail. Everybody I've talked to, Florida Young Republicans sent why the delegation up there. I've got friends from all over the country there. Everyone I talked to has the same word unified. The party's finally unified. And that's really what we needed. I was nervous going in. Um, I wasn't sure what, I mean, we're an uncharted territory after last Saturday. Um, so you never know. I, I heard a lot of people planned on kind of boycotting the platform that was adopted. Uh, that has not transpired. Thankfully, I'm not sure if that has anything to do with the events of last Saturday or not. Uh, regardless, I'm glad they haven't. I love the platform personally. Uh, and you just see unity. And that is really, I mean, for years, what people have been screaming. Our party needs to get it together. We need to project unity. And unfortunately, it took a near assassination of the leader of our party for people to wake up and realize, okay, we need to get it together. I'm glad that something finally did it. I just hope it's in enough time to resonate with the undecided voter and the rest of the American public. No, you want to know what? Let's go back to that and, um, Butler, Pennsylvania last week. You know, you want to talk about all the good things that happen and the way that this party and the next generation of Republicans have shifted in a new, bold and brave direction. Uh, you know, history will tell that Donald Trump has a little bit something other than Donald Trump protecting him in his political life. You know, he was able to navigate the waters as a building mogul. He was able to navigate the waters through the Viper pit known as Hollywood for so many years. You know, this guy has intertwined himself into many different aspects of the sporting community. And then when you talk about, you know, what could have happened and what it means for the party, uh, for the way that it shook out after the assassination attempt for Donald Trump to come out. It's all but unscathed. It just seems that God hand is really touching, you know, the entire campaign during this awful election cycle. And I think, you know, the Democrats right now and how they're essentially eating themselves alive is a perfect example of just at what, you know, what's at stake for this country and how important Donald Trump is as leader of the movement that we're currently in. Absolutely without a doubt. Um, if you didn't believe in God before last Saturday. And if you're still not sure and you haven't seen the video, I would encourage you to go watch it. I watched it live. Um, I'm still kind of in shock about if he had not looked at the graphic on the screen at the exact. Second, he did. I would have, I mean, I would have witnessed that on TV, along with thousands of others, not to mention the 50,000 or so people in attendance. Sure. When you understand the gravity of that, what could have happened? It's surreal. And on top of that, I was in attendance at the rally just a few days prior to this. I was at the last one and I would have been in one of the front rows. Should I have gone to the one in Pennsylvania instead? And just thinking that that could happen there is. It's terrifying because I remember talking to my dad after the rally and saying, you know, it was a good experience. I'm glad I finally was my first rally. I'm glad I finally got to go to one. And it's, it is so just not what the media portrays as the extremist maga movement. It was people from all walks of life. People that were immigrants. People that were there were pregnant women there out in the 115 degree heat, waiting hours to just see President Trump. And everyone was kind. Everyone was just happy. And, and I had a conversation with a girl in front of me in line to get a water. And it was like we had known each other our whole life. Whereas out in the general population, if you talk to somebody out of nowhere, they might look at you like you're crazy. But that is the America that the maga movement is trying so hard to bring back people that are just happy and get along. And to see at the very next rally, what unfolded. I still am having trouble processing it. And I think the rest of the maga movement as well, along with the rest of the country. God is definitely, definitely not done with President Donald Trump. No, you make an excellent point, you know, and you talk about some of our great friends that were in attendance up in Pennsylvania. Sean Parnell was sitting to the president's right behind him, Brick Suit, who's an esteemed guest and great friend of the show as well. You know, he's always in the front row just to center left of President Trump when it happened. And you know, you have to take a step back for what happened to President Trump is one thing, but for all the other people, I mean, a man lost his life. He was a husband, he was a father, and other people were injured, you know, police have been heavily scrutinized under the radar about the, you know, critical breakdowns in every single level of security that happened there. And I hope moving forward, I think it's, you know, as America continues to process this, and I see so many people go into the media and they like still literally can't put it into words. I honestly can't believe that Donald Trump showed up at every single night of the RNC. I can't believe that he's getting ready to give his, you know, accepting speech tonight for the Republican nomination. And I cannot believe that him and JD Vance are going to be in Grand Rapids, Michigan this weekend, a week after the assassination attempt holding a Trump rally. It's just like the man moves differently than anyone. I mean, I guess you could look at all these historical pivotal figures throughout the times, you know, Greek, Roman leaders, kings of England. And you know, I don't want to, you know, compare Donald Trump to like royalty and make that correlation. But what I'm just saying, you read about these people in the history books and it's like, minus the body armor and the sword, he's doing a lot of the same things that some of these great leaders throughout the ages have been able to prove. And hopefully it's enough to will him at the ballot box in November and get this country steered back on the right track because that would be, you know, the Cinderella ending to the greatest political story, probably in the history of America as a republic. Absolutely. And I love the fact that when Trump is back in office, 2026 is going to be our country's 250th birthday. What a party that is going to be. And Trump and Vance are definitely going to go down in history. I listened to JD Vance's speech. Wow. I was impressed with the pick, but listening to his speech. And when he said, you know, Donald Trump did not need politics, but the country needed him. How true is that Donald Trump did not need to do any of this to undergo any of the scrutiny, the indictments, the potential jail time, the almost losing of his life. He doesn't need any of that. And yeah, he could have backed down and withdrawn from the race altogether, but that's not who Donald Trump is. He came out with this fist in the air, as we all know, a photo of the century for sure. And he's going to keep fighting. I also thought the rally this weekend was pretty quick. I thought there'd be a couple of weeks in between, but no, it's full steam ahead for the Trump campaign. And I think Michigan is a great place to start. Absolutely. And then when you talk about Michigan, you'd mentioned JD Vance. That's exactly where I wanted to go with you. Listen, you can't go without saying young Republicans across the nation are rejoicing in Donald Trump's vice presidential pick. We've had so many people come in here over the course of the last year as that listed narrowed down and it focused in on JD Vance for so many different reasons. But when you talk about JD Vance's story is that of the American dream. He kind of outlined that in his RNC acceptance speech earlier this week. But I think the fact of the matter is now when you look at what he brings to the table and where he has the ability to resonate the best in the Blue Wall States and the Rust Belt to the middle class family, the people who are left out to the labor unions. You had the president of the Teamsters praising him right after the pick was announced. You talk about all the other candidates and how they all had different abilities to widen the tent. But when you talk about long term goals and someone who's going to work directly alongside President Trump, I think JD Vance was a slam dunk and an absolute win for the ticket moving forward. Definitely. There are a lot of people that President Trump could have gone with. Younger people even to ensure the future of the Republican Party. But what I love about JD Vance is he is somebody who liked Donald Trump cannot be bought. He cannot become the establishment. JD Vance grew up in the trenches. And then he went to the literal trenches in the Middle East and fought for our country. He's seen firsthand the cost of unnecessary wars. He's just, I mean, his story is unreal. I bought his book. I'm excited to read it. He's an excellent writer. And I think he's going to really just energize a different breed of Americans. The working class people are exhausted from the Biden administration, all these regulations, buying from other countries. And JD Vance being from the Rust Belt, we're ready to go full steam ahead, buy American, make American, bring jobs back to our country. On top of that, this is the first millennial that's been on a presidential ticket. How great is that? And might I add? He's also a young Republican. He's with the Ohio, young Republicans. Incredible. Incredible. I'm so excited to see what he does as Vice President. And on that note, just remember that behind every strong man is a stronger woman. Good point. Listening to his wife's introductory speech, I had goosebumps. What an incredible woman to have behind you. And honestly, I would love to work for her. Mad respect. She, I heard, resigned her position at her firm to support him in this endeavor to become Vice President. On top of being a mother to three young children all under the age of 10, that's insane. So I think they, as a couple, are just this glistening light of hope to the millennials and Gen Z, Gen whatever, the young people that are next. You know, one of the biggest points you made, and I definitely want to highlight it, you made it in reference to President Trump. And it was commentary on what someone else had said. He didn't need politics. Politics in the country needed him. You look at J.D. Vance's career coming from extreme poverty, broken home. You know, he made it through a term in the service for the U.S. Marines. He went to law school and graduated top of his class. He was a very successful business entrepreneur. He's got a beautiful, wonderful young family with a wife who's also a successful business woman herself. And then when you just look at the totality of it, it's like, then comes the fact that J.D. Vance had his views on President Trump, changed him when he saw the man work, seen what he's gone through for the last four years, and then said, "You want to know what? If you pick me, I'm with you 100 percent." You men aren't made that way anymore. And it's like, for the rare occasions that one, you know, shines amongst all the others, I'm so glad that President Trump picked him. And it's like, he doesn't need politics, but he knows this country needs strong leaders. And I definitely think that probably went into at least part of what J.D. Vance's final decision was all about. Absolutely. What I really loved, and this interview will probably stick with me for years to come. I knew as soon as he was announced as Trump's running mate, people were going to question him about his prior stance on President Trump. Yes. Later that same evening, he did an interview with the RNC with Sean Hannity, and Sean asked him, "You know, you've been critical of President Trump in the past. You've compared him to such and such leaders. What's changed?" And a lifelong career politician would have smiled and flipped the narrative and not addressed the fact that they may not have been Trump's biggest fan. And we really wouldn't have gotten an answer. J.D. Vance looked at Sean Hannity and said, "Yeah, you're right." And this is the part I remember. He said, "In 2016, myself and a lot of other Americans were skeptical of Donald Trump." President Trump changed my mind. That statement is going to resonate with so many Americans, people that may have also, between 2016 and 2020, changed their mind. People that, even now, may not have changed their mind. People that are not sure, "Am I going to vote for Trump? I don't want to vote for Biden. Look at how we are now. Who do I vote for?" The undecided voter is going to look and see that this man in 2016, who was not a senator at the time, just everyday American, wasn't sure of Trump, but he watched the work that was done between 2017 and the end of his term. And changed his mind. It's wild to see the way this is shaken out, and it's great to be the wave that we're going to be riding out of this week is going to be one that's going to think Kerry pretty close to Election Day. I mean, everybody's ready to hit the ground and work hard and hit it running again. But, Megan, last thing I want to ask you, you know, it's the most important thing. One of the things that you guys are playing a pivotal role in in this election cycle, and that's getting people involved, getting people out to vote, getting people involved in their communities and setting things up. For a very successful election day in November, just talk about the urgency to not just watch the things unfold on TV and physically have to get out there. Listen, it's going to be a four-month sprint between now and Election Day by the time the RNC is done and we get through this weekend. And for people that have been reluctant to do it, even though they might have convictions to do so, they see all the bad things that are happening around the world and on the streets of America right now, definitely in their bank accounts for sure. Why is now the time to get involved and to make those brave and bold decisions that are going to ensure that President Trump and JD Vance win on November 5th? I mean, there's not a doubt in my mind and a lot of others' minds that this is not the time to go sit in the basement and say, "Yeah, let's vote for Trump." Kellyanne Conway during her speech at the RNC had a lot of really impactful statements. One was, "This is the time to put that flag out in your yard to wear that red hat. This is absolutely the time to do that. Be bold in your beliefs. I, on Sunday, the day after Butler wore my Trump 2024 hat out and about. I went over to Sarasota to visit a good friend and I was getting dinner with our state vice chair CJ and his fiancé. And a lot of people in the restaurant were hyped by me like, "Yeah, great hat." One woman turned around and looked at me and said, "But you get heckled for that?" And I honestly know I've never gotten heckled. I said, "Even if I did, I wouldn't get angry about it. I would ask someone why engage with them." That was another thing that Kellyanne had to say, "Don't dismiss someone because their beliefs are different than yours." Or maybe they're not as invested. Maybe you just need to talk to them. We need to grow the party, not isolate it off so that people don't feel comfortable joining. And I think that's a really huge thing for young Republicans, specifically the Florida young Republicans in our blue areas. There's not a ton left, but they're very blue where they are. Just level with people. Talk to them. Ask them why they think one way or another. More often than not, you're going to be able to find common ground with some of these people and make them think on their own. Don't believe what the media is pushing at. You think on your own. Like you said, people's bank accounts, they're pretty empty. Think about this time, four years ago, we were all without a doubt in much better shape. We could afford groceries or just to fill up our gas tank all the way. So just being honest with people. It's the right point. I mean, you make a great example there. We tell people on the show, if you want to get into a political conversation with somebody, you don't go up to them and talk to them about joining the Donald Trump fan club or talking about a national abortion ban as like you're leading. You go and you do like regular people should do. You start off with small talk. You could segue into things economically related. Man, the cost of everything has gone up lately, gas it through the roof. It's hard to put food on the table. I can't believe rent or my mortgage continues to go through the roof. I could barely pay to keep my kids in their sports, et cetera. And then you could kind of lead down the path. You know, thinking a couple years ago, especially before COVID, we all had a lot more money. You know, and then you can get down, start going down those political avenues. It might open up. It's not going to work for everybody, but the fact of the matter is there's a lot of people right now who are definitely watching things unfold in real time and having second guesses on it. And I think it's an amazing job what you guys are doing. And I know you guys are in this fight all the way up to and through election day. So Megan, this has been great catching up with you today.
