We're hearing from one of Madison's sorority sisters about the night where Madison was murdered and how it was just a normal night out in Moscow. This girl also has been somebody who has went to events at the house previously, parties, kickbacks, just to hang out and she lives relatively close as well. So in a previous episode I was wondering when we'd start hearing from some of the friends and it seems like at the very least we're getting a little bit of that now. So let's just jump in and let's see what she has to say. This article was published by Fox News and the headline. Sorority sister recalls victims hours before tragedy, a normal night in Moscow. This article was authored by Stephanie Pagonis. One of the four University of Idaho students killed by an unknown suspect earlier this month was spotted having a normal night out with friends just hours before tragedy struck. A classmate and sorority sister recalled. Madison Mogan 21 spent much of the night of November 12th at Moscow Idaho's corner club where she was spotted just laughing with all of her friends said Madison Moi, a fellow student and a neighbor. It was just a normal night in Moscow Mo Moi, a 21 year old sophomore, told Fox News Digital on Monday. Moscow is a safe place. Nothing like this ever happens. I didn't think anything of it and why would you? It's a normal night out. You see your sorority sister, she's over with some friends laughing it up, having a good time. Nobody could suspect or expect anything like this was going to occur. And this is where I get caught up with the stalker issue, folks. Don't you think that one of her sorority sisters or some of them would know if if Kaylee or any of these girls had a stalker? You would think that's something they would talk about like girl talk, right? But again, who knows? Maybe, maybe it's something that didn't come up. Maybe it's something she didn't want to talk about. But the whole stalker angle, I would think that there has to be somebody out there that would know. That was the last time Moi saw Moghin, who police said, spent the night out with another one of the victims, 21 year old Kaylee Gonzalez. Moi said Moghin was at the club, a hotspot for University of Idaho students, for the majority of the night. According to police, Moghin and Gonzalez left the bar around 1.30 a.m. and went to a nearby food truck before returning to their King Road home at 1.56 a.m. on Sunday. Now, you can tell from the time frame here that they're not traveling huge distances, right? Moscow's a relatively small place. So to get from the bar to the food truck and back to their house, we're talking about a grand total of 26 minutes. Tragedy struck later that day when police received a call to the three-story home for a report of an unconscious person just before noon. Officers arrived to find four students, Gonzalez, Moghin, Ethan Chapin, and Zana Kernodel on the second and third floors with multiple fatal stab wounds, police said. The victim's injuries indicated they were stabbed in their sleep sometime between 3 a.m. and 4 a.m. and some show signs of trying to fight back, police said. Investigators believe the killer used a single fixed-blade knife to carry out the crimes. Two other roommates were on the bottom floor of the home at the time of the attack and survived, police said. Aaron Snell, communications director for Idaho State Police, would not answer a question on Monday related to whether the surviving roommates had guests over at the time of the crimes. Well, that's interesting too. That's another question that I've had. Was there anyone else here at the time that this occurred? Was there anyone hanging out with the two other roommates? All of that is undetermined at this point, according to what we know as the public. And if you follow things like all of you are, you're starting to see a trickle of information. And that's what you usually see in cases like this. We'll start to get a little bit more and my guess is we'll start to hear from more people who are local in the town who knew these girls. And who knew Ethan, people who they worked with, fraternity brothers, sorority sisters, whatever. But we're going to start hearing more from people in the community would be my guess. Police previously said they had canvassed local knife shops for any leads pertaining to the killer. Tuesday marked 16 days without police naming a suspect and without investigators recovering the murder weapon. Gonzavas, Colonel and Morgan were said to have lived in the home at the time. The residence was located just a block from the University of Idaho campus perimeter and with an eye shot of some fraternity houses. So as you're moving in here as a college student, right? You're saying to yourself, Hell yeah. Super close to school. I can wake up late and still make it to class on time. Then imagine fast forward a couple of years or whatever. And this is the end result. This is what happens to you and the person out there or persons out there who did it. I really hope they burn in hell when all of this is said and done. And when justice comes for him, I hope it is a fucking train and I hope it runs them right over. Police said Chapin and Carnotal spent the night on November 12 at one of the fraternity houses, Sigma Kai, before returning to the King Road home around 1 45 a.m. Speaking to Fox News Digital on Monday, Moi said she and two of the victims, Carnotal and Morgan were members of the same sorority at the university. Pi Beta Pi Pi Beta Phi. She said she had been to the home every so often before it turned into a crime scene for events or when the girls would hang out. So look, when you have a house like this and you're in college, especially this close to campus, all of these houses are kickback houses. I know the terminology party house was used, but I don't know how far I would take that. When I was in college, we had several friends whose houses, you know, roommates, it was a kickback house. We'd all go over there, we'd pregame, we'd wait for, you know, the college football games to kick off or whatever, and then we'd leave from there. And my guess is, just a guess, folks, that this is what was going on over at this house as well. I highly doubt that this was, you know, raging parties every night, 5,000 people, my guess is sorority and fraternity brothers over having a good time. Gonzavas was a member of a different sorority on campus, she said. Their deaths, Moi said, have been really tough. The Vandal community is really close and it's kind of just put a darkness over it, she said. She told Fox News Digital, Moghann and Colonel had dropped out of the sorority last semester, and therefore she had seen less, she had seen them less frequently in recent months. Spokespersons for the local and national chapters did not respond Monday to Fox News Digital's request for confirmation. So that's interesting. Madison Moghann and Zanna Colonel had both dropped out of the sorority last semester. What led them to dropping out of the sorority? Was there some kind of beef, some kind of problem with somebody, some sort of issue? This is all very interesting stuff. And my guess is that the cops are looking into all of this, because if it was a targeted attack, like they're saying, you would think that there is some kind of grievance, some kind of issue that they might have had with somebody or certain some bodies, and it could lead to something like this, right? In the most extreme circumstances, but it could end up leading to something like this. And dropping out of the sorority, certainly an interesting tidbit, now does it mean anything one way or the other? With the information we have, no, but it certainly is interesting. The University of Idaho's Pi Beta Phi chapter posted a photo of the girls on Instagram last week, with a caption that called Moghann and Colonel bright young women who had incredible futures ahead of them. Maddie was the sweetest soul, who was passionate about every aspect of her life. She shared her brilliance with those around her. Zano was a magnet for positive energy and always radiated that energy back into the world, the post stated, "We know others in our community are also hurting, we grieve with them, and share the weight of their sorrow." Moghann lives in a home behind the crime scene. She said she did not go to the home on the morning of November 13th when police said officers arrived to find multiple people already inside. And again, I hate to keep harping on this, but this is one of the worst things in this investigation. All of these people traiphing through the crime scene, it must make these investigators bananas that this is what they had to deal with. Asked about the possibility that the killer might have passed through her yard, she responded, "It's definitely something that's crossed my mind, and that's really terrifying." Yeah, you think, right? You have a house right next to the house where this happened, and then to think that the killer had to escape somehow, right? So did they go through your yard, go through your property? Certainly jarring. Hey there. Ritual here to give a big shout out to you for making it through the hectic holiday season. She said she and many of her classmates typically walk to campus for class and that she has often used a shortcut that passes through the parking lot behind the victim's home. As students return to campus and classes on Monday, Moi said she is changing her habits and plans to carry pepper spray. A single marked police vehicle was seen parked outside the home on Monday. The perimeter remains lined by crime scene tape more than two weeks after the victims were found. And Snell said that the reason for that is they might be going back and collecting more evidence. As of now, they don't need to, but he said that might change. Officials have called the attack targeted, but have not said who was the intended victim. Police said Sunday they had received more than 488 digital media submissions via the FBI portal. So they're getting a ton of information. But this little tidbit that we just gleaned here about the girls dropping out of the sorority, that's a pretty interesting point. And certainly something if I was an investigator, I'd be looking a little bit more into. Now does that mean it's going to lead to the person who did it? Of course not. But anything that seems out of the ordinary, anything at all has to be investigated. Idaho State Police Colonel Kendrick Wills said investigators had collected 103 pieces of evidence from the crime scene and took an estimated 4,000 photos as of Wednesday. He added that investigators had processed over 1,000 tips and conducted 150 interviews. The Moscow Police Department is urging the public to submit any images of information that they could think might be important or useful to the investigation. They can do so by calling 208-883-7180. That number again 208-883-7180. Submitting tips through the tip line at tipline@ci.moscow.id.us and sending digital media here. Authorities have also created a dedicated webpage related to the King Road attack. So the fact that we're starting to hear from some of these friends and from some of the sorority members or fraternity members, we're going to get little tidbits like we just got here, about them dropping out of the sorority and them not being as active of members as they used to be. Now does that mean anything in the long run, in the grand scheme of things? That's to be determined, but it's certainly an interesting tidbit. Well folks, as we get more from the friends, more from people who knew the girls, we will start to get a bigger picture of who they were, what their friend groups were like, and if there was any sort of friction maybe within these groups. Because as far as I'm concerned, everybody has to be looked at as a suspect at this point, everybody that they had any kind of contact with or relationship with, everybody has to be looked at. So we'll see where it goes, folks, but for now that's going to do it. If you'd like to contact me, you can do that at bobbykapucci@protonmel.com. That's B-O-B-B-Y-C-A-P-U-C-C-I at protonmel.com.
