Recently, their specialist team completed a project in the beautiful and historic area of Pontamon, Aminfit, situated in the heart of Kermarthenshire. This picturesque location, known for its proximity to the Breckenbeekens National Park and notable landmarks such as the National Botanic Garden of Wales and the historic town of Landilo, provides the perfect setting for our latest installation. Enhancing comfort and style, Hopkins Log Burners latest project involved installing a 5 kilowatts EcoCivista 500 wood burning stove in the conservatory of a detached house. This installation was meticulously planned and executed to ensure both functionality and elegance. The EcoCivista 500, known for its robust performance and sleek design, was the ideal choice for this conservatory, providing efficient heating while adding a touch of sophistication to the space. The installation journey the installation process was a testament to the team's technical proficiency and attention to detail. They began by cutting slate to size and fitting it in the center of the exterior wall. Building the flu system up to the ceiling required careful planning, particularly when it came to navigating the roof structure. To ensure the integrity of the roof, 245 degrees bends were used in the flu system, a solution that showcased the team's problem-solving skills and commitment to precision. From marking the ceiling for cutting to drilling pilot holes through the ceiling and roof, every step was carefully executed. The engineers checked the position of the timbers to avoid any structural issues and made precise cuts in the ceiling and roof, folding back the roof membrane and insulation for a seamless fit. Using a flat adapter and adjustable twin wall pipe, the flu was assembled, adding a 500 millimeters twin wall and securing it to the roof with a support bracket. The flashing was slid down onto the roof and secured with stitching screws, and the area was sealed with black CT1 ceiling. Finally, another meter of flu was added, followed by the fitting the storm collar and anti-down draft cowl, and completed the interior with a trim plate around the flu. Overcoming challenges one of the primary challenges during this installation was ensuring that the flu system bypassed the roof timbers without compromising structural integrity. By employing 245 degrees bends, their specialist installers navigated this obstacle with finesse, ensuring a safe and secure installation.
