And of course, I've got some questions lined up for Dr. St. John himself on the 24th:

  1. Question 1: What are some of the most common concerns people address through somatic therapy?

Today, this is a quick 15 minute overview, prelude show of my actual next in studio guest next week when it becomes today, at the time of taping is the 18th as next week becomes in the unfolds on the 24th, I'll be welcoming for the first time, Dr. Don St. John. So this will be the overview to give us both an opportunity, all of us to get a little bit more familiar with Dr. Don St. John, which in all honesty, I am not at this juncture. We had a brief discussion and speaking of interferences and equipment and all of that, it all went fine. We decided to go ahead and book the appointment. So unveiling the power of a somatic healing with Dr. John St. John, this will be an overview. I did want to intimate and replay and repeat the questions in the description of the show to try to get the proverbial ball rolling so we can get some interaction in watermelon. So please do leave a comment below here at the show itself, but also share your thoughts and questions and experiences about somatic healing that you may have. You can leave a voicemail message at the BH sales account called Pulistic Healing, all the podcast voicemail message board and let the bill know what's on your mind. By sharing your stories, we can all learn and grow together. We thrive a lot to survive, sharing each other's tidbits of successful holistic healing medicines. Let's try to get those mental gears turning and I got a couple of off the cuff questions for you guys at the house to ponder and a couple until I get Dr. St. John here for himself. So problem question number one, have you ever experienced a physical symptom that seemed unconnected to any physical cause that you did, how did you address it? Is you've ever tried a form of somatic therapy like massage or yoga, how did it affect your overall well-being? Would you have to have you share that with us and put there for questions for the doctor when he gets here to do so? There's a couple of off the cuff questions for the doctor to ponder before he gets here to do so. We have a copy of this playlist show and as always we discuss what the format will actually be when he gets here primarily to be a promotion of his new book. So problem question quickly for the doctor here, meaning himself, have you ever experienced a physical symptom that seemed unconnected to any physical cause? And how did you address it? That would be a broad base to him yourself. Also, if you've ever tried, as we said, a form of somatic therapy like massage or yoga, how did it affect your overall well-being? And then the doctor, a couple of quick questions, maybe to hone him into that. What are some of the most common concerns people address through somatic therapy in his experience? Can he walk us through a specific somatic technique and explain how it works? And how can someone get started really incorporating somatic practices into their daily lives? So with about nine minutes, I'm going to quickly go through the doctor's website. I think that's the best way for all of us to get acclimated to him where we may not be. I'm not at this juncture. The first time, yes, can't wait. So exploring the frontiers of wellness, Dr. Darn St. John PhD, there at the website is also co-business with his wife, Darn St. John. I believe he's joining me solo when he gets here. I'd love to have his wife come at some future event if everybody's comfort zone facilitates that. So when you get to the path of connection.com on the home page, quickly going top to bottom you, I can now assess this information for yourself and I'm going to scan through this, helping to guide your path towards integration and wholeness, most of today's social problems have the same roots, a lack of understanding of what it means to be a whole human being. What if violence, illness, addiction, suicide, toxic stress, depression, anxiety and relationship dysfunctions could be traced to the same source. The implications for education, chattering and our comprehension of mental and physical health would be staggering. What does it mean to be a whole human being using my quotation fingers? What is wholeness with the W quotation fingers? There are four different dimensions we consider. All are separate and all are deeply interrelated. Each influences and is influenced by every other interconnecting part. They are somatic education, psychological growth, relationship enrichment and spiritual health in lieu of time will let you all access the path of connection.com, scroll down that home page and it will give you a great overview of whatever your degree of familiarity is or is not at this juncture, quickly which will be the main essence of what we're going to be here and promoting and talking about the book, Healing the Wounds of Childhood and Culture and Adventure of a Lifetime by Dr. Don St. John PhD. We're Badum from his book page on the path of connection.com, putting myself here in first person for Dr. Don because it's himself. So when I say in my book, obviously Dr. Don's, so in my book, Healing the Wounds of Childhood and Culture, I share my personal story and discoveries about what our bodies, our minds and ourselves in quotation marks and our relationships need in order to heal from the wounds and the traumas and the toxic stresses of life. Quickly, I invite you to read Healing the Wounds of Childhood and Culture no matter where you are in your personal journey. I am confident you will feel supported and inspired by reading this book by Dr. Don St. John Hymns-Hell, where a Badum, again the book, is Healing the Wounds of Childhood and Culture and Adventure of a Lifetime. You can purchase the book on Amazon, Archway, Audible, Apple Books. If there are others over and above, he'll expand upon them. But again, Amazon, Archway, Audible and Apple Books, the name of the book, Healing the Wounds of Childhood and Culture and Adventure of a Lifetime. As you can see, when reading my book from his re-canter from his path of connection.com book page, as you will see when reading my book, my childhood was intense filled with physical and emotional abuse. The effects were devastating and healing required me to leave no stone unturned to restore my humanity, many or among the many I discovered is the normal quotation books, it's not nearly good enough. This is what I mean. I wanted to enjoy a long-term, sexual, intimate relationship with a partner that didn't become boring. I wanted to be able to feel healthy and alive in my body and spirit. I wanted to replace fear, shame and rigidity with confidence, resilience and fluidity. I wanted to age with vitality and grace and to feel more love, connections in my life. With gratitude and humility, I can say, these continue to grow in me and my relationship with my dear wife. There's many testimonials there, quickly just one off the cuff. You can leave them for yourself on the book page and move with time. The wounds of our life are made to be healed by our efforts rather than being drowned in the sense of victimhood and so easily can run our life. Darn writing is a gift to those of us who do our best to travel the path of consciousness and to those of us who are looking for how to begin the journey. That's by how Stone, Ph.D., Incidera, Stone, Ph.D., authors and co-founders of the Voice Dialogue Method giving their review of Dr. Don's book. Let's do another couple of ones quickly. Barbatum, Don St. John's book is a huge accomplishment, a miraculous personal journey intertwined with a miraculous evolution of many disciplines seeking to understand the mind of human heart to help people heal. Read this book to learn about one man's journey from trauma to loveability. That's Dr. Diana Fosha, spelt F-O-S-H-A, pardon my pronunciation. If I stand corrected, it is F-O-S-H-A, developer of A-E-D-P and author of The Healing Power of Effect. Let's try to squeeze in a couple more testimonials here. Barbatum, I found this book very inspirational and inspiring and hopeful. The author reminds us that the book of healing is rewarding and full of the unexpected and that love, integration and wholeness are a birthright that's by Laura A, Salt Lake City, Utah, an inspired and inspiring work of synthesis. I think it is brilliant. Joseph Heller, author of Body Wise and founder of Heller Work Structural Integration. Let's squeeze in another one. There is an aspect of storytelling here, often absent from similar works on psychology to the telling of his personal story, the author is able to interweave various aspects of holistic health to reveal a more clean view of human healing. Michelle, see right, there goes on to be, oh my goodness, a couple more misfit there. In the rule of time, I did want to go across this website left to right on the topic and I'm going to the resources page, Barbatum, our resources offer a holistic approach to dealing with concerns such as trauma, PTSD, depression and anxiety. Our techniques focus on becoming a whole human being in our rooted and full main areas, somatic treatments/education, psychological growth, relationship enrichment and spirituality. Like education, the following books and links will help provide a somatic healing perspective of the human body, individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, relationship challenges or simply wanting good health can be supported enormously by somatic healing practices and disciplines. There is an addiction blog so designated there, the viewing website link when you get there to do so, that information is all at thepathofconnection.com. On to a minute and a half, so I'm going to wrap this up quickly, a little bit more about Dr. St. John here and doing this very quickly, somatic relationships, psychotherapists. If you're looking for someone more than just talking about your problems and you know, intuitively that your body is somehow related to what you would like to address, you may be an excellent candidate for what I do. I began my clinical training in 1967 and had been working since as a psychotherapist, relationship though, a robotic therapist. My interest over the past few years has been helping people realize how many more resources they have available within themselves to learn to connect to those resources and strengths, plus learn to connect well with those they love. The only way to have any real idea of what I do is to invest in one fashion after which you will know if it is right for you. I studied Gestalt Therapy at the LA Gestalt Therapy Institute in Neo-Rachian Therapy with doctors Alan Darbon and Jack Lee Rosenberg, the psychology of Celts and voice dialogue method with doctors Hal and Cedric Stone, who co-me with Dr. Ron Kurz, Coherence Therapy with Dr. Bruce Ecker, AEDP with Dr. Diana Foscher in CIMS with Dr. Albert Shelman and David Beecke, only 10 seconds left when they check out, will join us at the show at time of cake. We'll do another pre-root show. Can't wait to welcome Dr. Don St. John, bye-bye for now and may God bless. Peace and body continue to pay for it. I will say from productive day. Thank you.
