Raising healthy boundaries is a critical aspect for everyone, but even more so after a sexual trauma. There are strong connections between having traumatic experiences, especially of sexual nature, and our ability to raise healthy boundaries. We become more vulnerable to traumatic experiences if we have poor boundaries or worse, we lack them, but also every traumatic experience knocks down the boundaries we have.
