Around here, summertime brings a lot of this and sometimes a little bit of this. If your nose is running while you're running to the pool, stop that summer cold cold at AdventHealth-Centricare. We're here for all those summer symptoms, like sprains and strains, sore throats, sunburn and swimmer's ear. AdventHealth-Centricare's got you covered. When you need urgent care, we're open late seven days a week. Walk in or make an online reservation at centricare.org. AdventHealth-Centricare. We're better at all better. We're going about 50%. He didn't Dax 106. It is 77 right now. My question to you is if you want to find something new, what do you do and how do you find it? Now, the first thing I was looking for something yesterday, and I was looking for, I don't tell you what business it was, and the first thing I do is I look at the clients that we have on air here at Excel 1006.7. I'll look and see if we have anybody that fits a need that I'm looking for, or someplace new that I want to try or blah, blah, blah, and we didn't, and then I asked the room. One thing about us is that we'll recommend, and we'll tell you real about a recommendation. Brian gave me when he said, "No, you might not want to go there." I told him, "You might want to pick Ray." He said, "Do you know anyone?" We do that in here. I do, but based on what Ray told you and what I told you, I think you should go with Ray's. Ray told me, and I said, "Oh, wow." I said, "Do you know somebody there?" She said, "Yeah," and set it up where it was something my kid needed done, and we had it taken care of. It made me think about, when you try something new, what do you find it? Now, life-imaging FLA, I was listening to our sister station, real radio, Jim Culver, in the afternoon, talk about them, and I said, "Okay, I need to find these people." He was like, "Wait a minute, they got somebody that can do full of body scans?" - I heard bud talking about it. - Yeah, yeah, yeah, his story. - Yeah. - And I know he's saying, "Oh, you're saying that because I can read it." No, I really do. I go here first and find out if we sponsor anything, or if it's a TV show, I'll ask anyone of y'all, even the one that you mentioned during celebrity news, the-- - The bear? - The bear. And I'm like, "Really, is that good?" And we recommend those things to each other. And if one is off, you know, say they never forgive me. I told them an all-American was good. - It was. - It was one season, and then they jumped off. - One season was good. - And then I didn't jump off, and stuff like that. Right, what do you go when you want something new? - So I-- - You want to try something new? - I do turn to you guys a lot. - Yeah. - Like I turn to you guys a lot. I turn to the girlfriend who is very smart and very informative. I feel like she knows a lot, but also social media. - Yeah. - Like I'll ask a question. I'll put a story up and put like one of those polls or questions, and be like, "Hey, where do I go for this?" Or, "What can I do for this?" - Yeah, there's several places I found. If we didn't have it, I put on my social media. 'Cause I like giving-- I like giving my money to small businesses. - Yeah. - Hey, if you're a small business, I'm looking for this. - Yeah. - And I'll find one, and I've several-- Lately, I've used them because I've used social media. Brian, what do you do? - Well, I mean, I do ask you guys stuff. Then, when I'm looking for food stuff, I check Susie the foodies. - Yeah, that's cool. - Because she does know about a lot of stuff. Now, she makes some weird stuff, so I stay away from that, but she does know about a lot of local spots. But usually, if I'm going out of town or something, I'll find an Instagram of someone in that town that's making a bunch of videos of-- - Yes. - There's one for Tampa. - Yes. - There's one for St. Pete. There's one 'cause I'm on in Vegas. There's one in Vegas, and they tell you all the poll spots with new videos. And so, Instagram is a great spot to find new places that you've never been. - Okay. - We've been everywhere here, so it's kind of hard. But when you're going anywhere outside of Orlando, the local Instagram is great. - You know what's funny, Brian? You say that 'cause I was looking at a local Instagram about Orlando, and they were telling me, "Where's that?" - Yeah. - What? All you can eat. What? Where is that? - The Instagram is great for that. - And the reason you knew a suggestion for something new. - I do the exact same thing Brian does. Like, if I'm looking for a new coffee shop, I'll go into Instagram and a search tab, I'll type in coffee. - Mm-hmm. - And then it'll show you a map, and it'll have like all these like bubble images where you tap, and it'll give you the 24-hour videos of what everyone has been posting in that area. - Really? - Yeah, that or, you know, go to Google and look at the reviews. - Yelp is good too. Like, once I go to Instagram, sometimes I go to Yelp because Yelp will tell you what locals are doing. - Yeah. - And so Yelp, and that's in every city. - Yeah. Social media works, man, and it's funny. I was watching a news story, and there's an African-American woman who reminds me of my mom, and because of Social Security, she makes cakes and pies, and she sells them outside of groceries. - You were telling me about that. - And somebody recorded her, and it went viral. And she's like, "I sell out cakes every single day." And I'm like, and she's showing me the cake, red velvet cake, pound cake. I'm sitting here going, "How far in Lakeland from here?" - I'm so proud. - Yo, let me know where it's at. I'm going to go to Gainesville. - I'm going to go over there and give me everything on your table. - Oh, there you go. - And I'll freeze it. - Lakeland's not far as she's on the way to town. - I was like-- - And I saw that, and I was just like, "I would go do that." So, I want to find out from you when you're looking for something new, or you need a recommendation. Where do you go? Do you go to your friends, your coworkers? I'm telling you, we use the people that we advertise on our station. Friends, coworkers, social media. But sharing that got a pair of tickets to Orlando City at Sea versus New York City FC Saturday, July 20th at the Interincol Stadium brought to you by WD Sports Center. Discover indoor soccer coming soon near you. When you're looking for something new, where do you go? You go for your friends, you go for recommendations, you go to social media, you listen to the radio. Where do you go when you want to find something new? 407-919-1067-8777-919-1067-XL-Mobile-4-1067. Those are media livestreams you want to hear from you. You want to try something new. You want to find something new. Where do you go to get suggestions? Share with us next on Johnny's house, cloudy. All right, when you need something new, what do you do? Where do you go from recommendations? And I'll tell you, I first go to the clients that we have here on the air at XL-1067 because I trust them and I want to do business with them. But outside of that, I'll go ask the members of the show and if they don't have anything, then I'll go to some friends and y'all just turn me on and just go straight to social media and look it up that way. So we want to find out from you. What do you do when you want to find someplace new? Got a pair of tickets to Orlando City SC versus New York City FC Saturday, July 20th at the Interincol Stadium from Lake Mary. Evan, good morning. Good morning, man. All right, what do you do? I don't have a life. So when I find a new place to go eat, I find it when I'm actually working at the job site. Like I'd be sitting here and then they were like, hey, you want some food? I'm like, yeah, sure. And then you're like, all right, what do you want? And now just pick something random that I never really tried. And it's usually good. Like what if it's something you're looking for? Let's say that you need. Let's say you had a you've been told it. Listen, you need a whole set of tires and you don't have a tire place. What do you do? I'm going on my GPS and looking for tire places on Google Maps. Really? See, because I want to find somebody who had a good experience as a place, you know. Good review. Yeah, yeah. Like I like there's a place that I go. And I told Brian, don't go there, man. Because the man spent their thing around and wanted a tip for me. I'm like, oh, you're doing is ringing me up. Right. You weren't even in the back putting the tires on. You're going to spend that little screen around? Don't go there. So all right. All right, hold on. Huh? I was going to say, I think of the Google Maps as like a review. So you like go place and pick and they're like, Oh, here's the reviews on it. OK, but you don't ever go to your friends and coworkers for a place? No, no, I don't have no friends really. I was going to ask you that. And I figured that. But I didn't say it, but you did. Because all of them live away like like in different cities. Evan, how long you been here? Man, I've been here for a while. I think I've been like seven. Dude, find some friends. Oh, my gosh. Like I have a friend like that lives in Atlanta. I have a friend I live in Tampa. Her friend lives in Daytona. But like find one just one here. That's all just one. Well, I am the one I have to use with me. That's it. There you go. All right. King, argue with that one. King, argue with that one. All right. When they told Jesus in this automatic victory from a veto. No. Well, good morning. Good morning. All right. So what do you do? You want to try something new? You say, Hey, what do you do? I call my ex husband. Oh, wow. What is it? Do you have a current husband? I do. And what did you what did your current husband say? You're like, your current husband. Okay. Let me get this right. So your current husband say, you know what? No, I want to try a new place. You say, hold on. And then you call your ex husband? Yeah. And my new husband says, thank you, ex husband. Cool. Cool story. I'm assuming you all get along. Yes. We actually really do. Okay. We kind of have to. Yeah, I mean, like food, like restaurants, music, even music specifically. I mean, my my teenage son is coming home with like the jams and I'm like, we find this. Oh, yeah, I was daddy. All right. Let me call daddy. Robot. Well, if your daddy is giving your son the jams, well, it's cool to check out one of those mature relationships that people talk about and they write about. That's awesome. Absolutely. Absolutely. I want to find out what your ex husband want to eat. I don't want to eat them. Why? Because he said it. You wouldn't want to ask me if I was your ex. I'd be sending you some busted at place. I'm sure. Hold on. Hold on. Just someplace much worse than that. Be without a go rob though. Yeah. I recommend that. All right. Oh, damn, damn. Let's see here. A lot of people do come to us. Okay. And then somebody said Google Yelp or TripAdvisor. The TikTok has really good recommendations and you type something in. Yeah. It'll pop up. Okay. That's pretty cool. I've had several people hit me who said, listen, I'm going to Charlotte this weekend. What's in places that you would say the dine. Yeah. All right. Check this place out. Check this place out. Make sure you get some barbecue. Be what they shut. XL Mobile Power by attorney Dan Newland in the wreck. Need a check. It's a no brainer. Just call attorney Dan Newland. There are people using social media. But someone just hit us up about a new app that's called POW. So it's like you punch somebody, but it's spelled P A O and I just looked it up and it's an app that people post hidden gems like rooftop bars, beaches, art galleries, cafes, and they post like real time pictures and reviews and everything, but it's supposed to be for like hidden gems. Yeah. Yeah. So that's, I'm going to download that. That's a pretty cool looking app. Okay. That's what I'm talking about. Yeah. He said, if people are recommending the same thing across any of them, this is where he actually found his electrician. So I do the opposite of what our name is because I know they're a bunch of crime babies. Noel, we're going to hook you up with a pair of tickets. Check out Orlando City SC versus New York FC Saturday, July 20th at the Interincostates is 80 going to get up to 106. Was it going to feel like? There's a 50% chance of rain. Brian, what are you saying on Facebook? It was on Facebook. Someone just posted random stuff that you memorized. Okay. Weird stuff for no reason. Okay. And people were just replying to it. Okay. We'll start with you. What is the weird stuff you remember? Well, the thing I've memorized is how to say, are the order of the 50 states alphabetically. So I can say all 50 states alphabetically because of a song that we learned in chorus. Okay. And when I was in fifth grade called 50, Nifty United States. Let's hear. I'm not going to sing the whole song. But the, when you get to the States, it's Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Ohio, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, Wow, New Jersey, New Mexico. And for whatever reason, your whole life, yeah, it's just been stuck in your brain. Learned in fifth grade and I've, it just never left the, it's the 50 Nifty United States. If you were in chorus in, in, in that timeframe, you probably learned it. It just never left me for whatever reason. Me is anything for, and he just come on in, in 1996, it was called Schoolhouse Rock. And that's what he would teach you this song or teach about certain things. And mine is about a bill. Oh, yeah. And I love it. And I'll never forget it. Well, I'm just the bill, you're some only a bill and I'm sitting here on Capitol Hill. We used to have that too long, long journey to the Capitol city, a long, long wait while I'm sitting in committee. But I know one day, I know some of the house some day, at least I hope and pray that I will. But today I am still just a bill. That is so funny. That's so good. Yeah, you did that. We also did that. Did you? Yes. We did. Wow. Three is my number. A man in the lead had a little baby. It was three. All right, what was yours? Okay. So I did take three years of Spanish and for us to learn like the capitals for like South America and like all that stuff, she would play this song and it would just be like every single day. And so randomly, if I see like a, you know, Panama or Paraguay or something like pop up or whatever, I'll start singing it, but it goes Caracas Venezuela, Caracas Venezuela, but like it repeats it over and over. Yeah. This is it. I sound like a break. This is it. Oh, yeah. It does. Do the big job. We know stuff. Caracas Venezuela. Caracas Venezuela. I don't remember how many times she says it. I said the record stuff. Caracas Venezuela. Colombia. Colombia. Colombia. Colombia. Colombia. You can stop the bit. And I go like. You told Ecuador, Lee, my Peru, La Paz, Bolivia. And she played this every day. And Cian Paraguat. Guatemala. Guatemala. Guatemala. San Salvador. El Salvador. That's the one I remember. You always do. I like that. But that's a she does. Isn't that crazy? And when was this? And it's drilled until your brain. No reason was yours. For me, it was the order of the planets from blues clues. So they came out with this like really adorable song. And it is the only reason why I know the order or all the planets in general. Like I actually wrote it down. Like I was I was singing in my head. So it's what? Sun, Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, Pluto. Well, Pluto doesn't count anymore. But yeah. He pulled it up. This is what it sounds like. I have a little problem with the planets I can never remember which one I'm trying to learn. Oh, he's trying to learn. Yeah. It does. Yeah. It does. No, it doesn't. No, it does. It's really cold. And Pluto's really small. And Pluto's really small. Oh, wow. All right. We want to find out what is the weirdest thing that you've memorized. It's in your brain. You can't remember what you did yesterday. But damn, you can remember this. You can't remember this song. Go to the mall. Take us to see Orlando City, SC, New York City, FC Saturday, July 20th, Internet Coast stadium. But you got to hear it and you got to tell us what it is. It's something the craziest of the weirdest thing that you just memorized. It's still in your brain. We want to hear about it. Gonna send you out on us. Check out Orlando City, SC. But you got to call us 407-919-1067-877-919-1067. That's the only way. In 81 right now, just what is it was trending yesterday? Weird things that you just memorized for whatever reason. You can't remember what you have for lunch yesterday, dinner two days ago. But there's something many years ago, it's still stuck in your brain. Well, we want to hear it. Parateeks to Orlando City, SC versus New York City, FC Saturday the 20th at the Internet Coast stadium. But we got to hear it from you first from Deltona. Hey, Mandy. Hey, how are you? All right. What is this crazed thing that just been memorized in your brain? So I know the little saying they tell you when you get on the Monorail at Disney. Oh, I love it. Let me hear it. That's awesome. Right now, you're right. Let me know if it's legit because I ride it a lot. All right, go ahead. All right. All right. Ladies and gentlemen, please stand clear at the doors. (speaks in Spanish) Wow. I know what they say on the Monorail at the airport. Hi. I'm Mayor, buddy. Dyer. Welcome to the city. Beautiful. All right. You hold on a second. You have to rerecord that next year. Yes, sir. From say cloud, Kayla, Kayla, good morning. Good morning. All right. What is something in your brain? You memorized. The elements of the periodic table now that the song or how do you remember that? Yes, sir. It's from this like YouTube channel called ASAP science, and to go to an art type school, and the class, it actually wasn't my class that learned it, but I was so jealous that the other class learned it that I learned it. All right. So let's hear it. There's hydrogen and helium in the chamber, and the um, or on carbon everywhere. Nice. You're getting all through the year. There's oxygen so you could breathe them for your pretty tea. And you know, where we heard that, that was on breaking bad when probably better call Saul, when the the gale, the, the physicist that was going to cook meth was singing that song. It is apartment. Yes. Wow. Okay, that's very good. Wow. Incredible. We can tell you were flown with that. All right. You hold on a second. That's impressive. Because I could never remember the table. Okay. From Orlando. Hey, Amanda. Good morning. All right. What's the crazed thing you've memorized? Okay. So this is a childhood song. My aunt was a preschool teacher and all the cousins were only remember this. I never shared this with anyone, but it was a song that she would come home to and it started off with Kentucky fries, chicken and pizza, hot pizza, hot Magdon, not Magdon, not Kentucky, and it would be ancestors with all of those, you know, I want you to do that again. Ray says she can do the hands. She needs to be in front of me. So wait, the reset would have to be like with the hand over your head and you would have to, you know, put your head back and forth like a bell. Oh, dang. I never did that far. Wow. Yeah. So it was so cute, but we also remember that till this day and yeah, it's crazy what sticks in your brain. Seriously. Crazy. Absolutely. All right. You hold on, Amanda. Many people remember this like it was just yesterday of Castlebury. Hey, Tiffany. Hey, there. All right. What is it you remember? Just sticks in your brain. So I was in private school from kindergarten through eighth grade and every Friday with chapel. And so if I hear any like note from a chapel song, it's like my body just goes into automatic motions of the hand motions, like father Abraham and many sons, many sons have father Abraham. I am one of them. And so are you. So let's just praise the Lord clap, clap, clap, hold on. Keep going, girl. Keep going. I like that. Yes. And then I've got the joy, joy, joy, joy down in my heart. My heart. Hey, down in my heart got the joy, joy, joy, joy down in my heart down in my heart. Wow. Wow. And I don't go near no church. Wow. That was impressive. I don't even drive by a church. Wow. All right. Those are all good. I have to learn the Gettysburg Address. We had to learn that like verbatim. No, really. And I remember like the first part of it, but that's it. All right. You ready to vote? You got Mandy. Uh, she did the, uh, the, the, the monorail song in English and Spanish. That's number one. You have Kayla, who did the periodic table. That's number two. We have Amanda, they did the childhood song and then Tiffany number four, who did the joy, joy, joy down in your heart. Okay. On the count of three, cash your votes in the room. I'm nervous. One, two, three. Hmm. Wow. That's the most impressive to me. Yeah, it was Kayla. Congratulations. Yes. Yes. The periodic table. You did it. Congratulations. Gonna hook you up. Yes, it is. All these years later. There you go. Got a pair of ticket. Check out Orlando City SC versus New York City FC Saturday, July 20th at the Enter and Cold Stadium.
