That's of course the one and only President Trump making an emotional and inspiring entrance into the Republican National Convention. Last night, where he has just been officially nominated as the Republican candidate for President of these United States. It was incredibly moving moment. As you saw, Don Trump Jr. was just overwhelmed with emotion seeing his dad there safe and sound after such a harrowing weekend. I mean, you just savoring the moment. Speaking of moments, one of my favorites of the night, I have to say, was seeing Fox News have to cover Tucker Carlson sitting in the same row as President Trump. Somebody on Twitter called it poetic justice, and it most certainly was. Now, what was without question, the centerpiece of the evening was the official announcement of Trump's VP, the one and only JD Vance. It was a brilliant pick. Vance, of course, is Super Maga. And as Senator from the great state of Ohio, he is a clear indicator that Trump has set his sights on knocking down the so-called Blue Wall, the three states of Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania. So as the electoral map stands right now, Biden needs to win every single one of those states, whereas Trump only needs one. And so this is the reason why I think he ultimately chose Vance over, say Glenn Youngen, the governor of Virginia, who was, I think, the second runner up. Trump is far more likely to win two or three of those Blue Wall states than he is to win Virginia in November. However, that said, take a look at the latest poll coming out of Virginia. Trump now is a three-point lead over Biden in freaking Virginia. So Trump may very well win Virginia, but this pick of Vance suggests he's playing the odds. He's going with the low-hanging fruit here. He's going with the states where he's had a pretty consistent steady and solid lead now for months, and he's ready to deliver the coup de grace, as it were, and crushed Biden's hopes of even coming close to reelection. And along those lines, I noted last night on our Monday night livestream, we now have our first polling out post-shooting poll. It's from the Democracy Institute, Patrick Pashon's of the Democracy Institute. It's a survey of a thousand likely voters, very interesting results. Twenty percent of respondents said they are now more likely to vote for Trump after the shooting, after what they saw over the weekend, that courage, than before the weekend. Twenty percent, Trump is now up by nearly ten. So now again, I mentioned this last night, Dick Morris was talking about this. Trump is now up by nearly ten, but keep in mind conventions usually give a poll boost of anywhere between five and ten points. So you can only imagine what the polls are going to look like after that Thursday night speech, which remember Trump is rewriting. He told this to the Washington Examiner in his first interview since being shot. Trump is rewriting his convention acceptance speech. He's going to focus more on reawakening a new unity in the nation, rather than focus on bumbling Biden as failures, which are pretty obvious to everyone at this point. There are reports that the shooting over the weekend profoundly changed President Trump. That's the word we're getting. That Trump, Trump basically had a very spiritual, almost born again, like experience in that moment, which, as I understand it, is common in moments like that. It happened to Reagan after his assassination attempt. It happened to Pope John Paul II, who talked often about the profound spiritual experience he's had as a result of his own assassination attempt. There is a profound sense of purpose that comes out of that, a profound sense that you were spared to do something great on behalf of the one who spared you. And I think we're seeing this with President Trump, and he's ready now to bring the entire nation into that moment, into that purpose. Keep in mind, this will be this Thursday night will be the single most watched convention speech in political history, bar none. And President Trump is using that unique moment in history to call our nation together, like never before. Elon Musk, you may have heard, he is now fully on board the Trump train. He has officially pledged $45 million a month to a pro-Trump super PAC, and we also saw the beginnings of a massive political realignment last night. The Teamsters president Sean O'Brien, the Teamsters are the largest labor union in the nation. Once a staunch constituent loyal to the Democrats, their president Sean O'Brien was the first Teamsters Union president to ever deliver an address to the Republican National Convention. And President Trump stood up during the entire 17 minute speech. He stood the entire time to show respect to O'Brien. It was unbelievable. O'Brien further applauded JD Vance and his commitment to the working men and women of the nation. So the Trump Vance ticket represents in many respects the solidification of a new Republican party, a thoroughly working class mid America party that is officially declaring its independence from the globalist elites represented by the likes of the bushes and the roves and the wrongies. The Neocon era, the Republican party appears to be officially over.
