Roy Neal joins us to kind of go through some of the highlights of last night's speech and the convention. Roy, welcome in. Did you stand for the entire thing? I did not. Well, I'm telling you, it was a long one. That's for sure. 90 minutes. Yeah, 93 minutes or something like that. Yeah. Yeah. But I always say, look, the Gettysburg Address was what? 272 words went for two minutes. Yeah. Right. That's the speech you remember. But yeah, look, I think we were all listening, though, to every single word Donald Trump said in that first 15 or 20 minutes when he talked about what happened on Saturday, how difficult it is for him to tell that story and said he won't ever tell it again, which is pretty remarkable. Yeah. I thought that his speech was, and I was talking about it just a few minutes ago, quite different than the Donald Trump we've seen before. He was humbled, he was calmer, he was not as on the attack as normal. And obviously, because of what he went through, I liked hearing it from the horse's mouth. We all know what happened. We've seen the videos a thousand times. We've heard a thousand commentaries on the event that took place last Saturday in Pennsylvania. But to hear it coming from him, I think you could hear a pin drop across America as he was explaining you go through that. That was one of the highlights I thought, obviously. Also one of the highlights was when Melania walked out and how he praised her. I think a lot of people wonder what their relationships all about, you know, from, you know, they're okay to all the facts about, you know, her moving out with Barron. I think that was done because she didn't want Barron being in the center of Washington when they were in the White House, and he didn't, which I thought was a good family move. They built a house and moved with some parents. But, you know, I thought last night with Melania on stage, it was pretty good as he praised her in the letter she wrote. Yeah, that was nice. He wanted to include it in the GOP platform as well and her message of unity. She wrote that letter after the shooting on Saturday. So that was, it was nice to see the two of them together as it had been a while. So, yeah, there were a lot of unifying themes sometimes. I think he deferred to some of the red meat in the room last night with all the testosterone from Kid Rock and Dana White and Hulk Hogan. He let them stir the pot a bit more while he took a more unifying tone. Yeah, absolutely. And very heartfelt when he talked about the man who lost his life Saturday and made, you know, reference to his uniform that was on stage, walked back to it, pie from the speech, the helmet, and Corey Coppittor and the other two folks that were wounded that are going to be okay. And they've raised over $6 million for all three. Yeah, pretty incredible. And that was a central Florida attorney he was referring to, Dan Newland, when he talked about that million dollar check that arrived to help out the families of all the victims. So, yeah, again, I think we listened to every word of that, but then it turned into a typical Trump rally speech towards the middle. You know, when he goes down some of those tangents, he didn't talk about water pressure this time. But, you know, no long thank you using like, okay, come on, it's late. We're all tired. It's day four. We've just dropped the balloons. We want to go. But he did manage to cut back and stick the landing pretty well. Yeah, absolutely. And he did reference the charts, you know, that he was starting to talk about in Pennsylvania. And he said, I didn't get to talk about that. You know, that's when the bullet flew, which was, you know, pretty impactful as well. But all in all, your thoughts on the week as the energy on Monday, we were all talking about, can that be topped? Can it be met the rest of the week? It came out so strong. I think it stayed at that level, you know, all week long. Yeah. And, you know, really every single day, the confidence of these delegates also grew as it looks as if the Democrats are in total disarray, total meltdown for the Democrats right now with all their in fighting. Because a month ago, you would have said, this is a real competition, you know, it's going to be a nail-biter. And I hope we win this, whereas now I think they're feeling their oats a bit. The national polls are looking better. Donald Trump extending his lead in the swing state in particular. So I think there's an air of confidence here, which we might not have had if you even had this a month ago. And will this sizzle fade? We've got still, what, three months to go before election day on November 5th. I mean, I think that's the big concern for the Republican Party to keep the pedal to the metal. But now it looks like Newsmax commentator Mark Halpern has come out and said that Joe Biden could resign and drop out as early as Sunday. Right. A lot of speculation. He wouldn't resign the presidency, just drop out of the race is the current thought. But yeah, and it could be happening as soon as this weekend. So that would be again, just absolutely historic and incredible when you think that, you know, the here are the Republicans so unified, so energized after a pretty tough primary that included Nikki Haley and Rhonda Santas and the fake drama Swami and Chris Christie, all those other candidates. And here are the Republicans unified while the incumbent Democrats can't seem to get their act together. I was talking about that last night with my wife and you back up and look at the 30,000 foot view of this thing right now in our moment in history. You have a candidate that was a former president with an assassination attempt. And over here, you've got a guy that people are screaming about did a bad job. But more importantly, his cognitive skills are dropping off and they're pushing him out of the party. I mean, this is a bizarre setup for an election year. I don't think we see anything this crazy and nuts. I can't remember anything so bizarre. Now, what you mentioned the 30,000 foot. I just want to be on a plane today to get to 30,000 feet per week. Microsoft's got all kinds of problems. Oh, yeah. Yeah. Yeah. All right, buddy. Thank you so much, Roy. Thanks for your work this week. Step into the world of power, loyalty, and luck.
