Just as firm as she was a month ago in not supporting, now supporting Donald Trump. Where Neil, our correspondent joins us now for a little recap on last night and a preview of tonight. Good morning Roy. Hey there, JT. Good morning. You know, I gotta tell you, I watched her last night and I thought she was very strong as she was before when she was opposed to him. But now, just like JT Vance in the past was not so much on board. She is on board and she, I thought, was very believable. Well, right. You know, the crowd, I think, sounded a bit skeptical. I think you'd agree that when she started, there was a little hesitancy and she said, I don't agree with Donald Trump. 100% or you might have heard of boo or two. But then by the end, I think the crowd got her message of, okay, you don't need to be on board with 100% of the policies in her mind to say Donald Trump is going to be better than Joe Biden. So she's trying to bring along that. Look, she did well. She got 15, 20% of the vote after she got out of the race. So there are those, let's call them Romney Republicans. Maybe you call them a rhino who are still out there. And in some of these close contests, they may be necessary that the Republicans need them in November. Yeah, and I think she also reiterated a lot of Americans' feelings that you look, you don't have to like his tweets, but you can't ignore the fact that he did well for our country. And you hear that all the time. I don't know. I just, you know, he's so mean-spirited with his tweets. And he's kind of out there and he's a rogue. And look, you don't have to like his personality. How was the state of the union when this guy was in the White House? I thought, well, when '44 is where Vivek Ramiswami, did you catch him last night? Listen to him real quick. I liked him. It means the people who we elect to run the government ought to be the ones who actually run the government, not unelected bureaucrats in the deep state. I thought he had one of the warmest welcomes there last night. And people really, you know, once again, showed support for this guy. Well, because he's always been a Trump supporter, right? I mean, even when he was running against Trump, he was still the Trump supporter. I don't know how or why he did that. But even during his presidential campaign, Ramiswami would say that he is a full-throated supporter of Donald Trump, who wanted to, you know, would issue pardons to Donald Trump and really was a big supporter throughout his own presidential campaign of Donald Trump. Right, right. Other highlights that really kind of sparked some interest from you and highlights that you thought were pretty good. Florida night, really, when we saw Marco Rubio, Rick Scott, and Governor Ron DeSantis up there. Interesting style differences with DeSantis and Nikki Haley. Obviously, both former rivals of Donald Trump. But DeSantis doing more to get the crowd a bit more fired up and excited, you know, going into some of the red meat issues like DEI. And that's really the first time we've heard DeSantis talk about Donald Trump after his sort of tepid endorsement when he dropped out of the race. It was a very different-looking DeSantis last night. Yeah, I like Sarah Huckabee Sanders last night, too. She was not only spot on and very articulate, obviously, being the former, you know, White House Press Secretary. But she was also kind of funny last night and had some pretty good lines. I did like the non-political people. In fact, including what was at the brother of Rachel Moran who got up and talked about his sister being killed by an illegal. And then the mom who lost her son with a fennel that's been crossing our border. I think that really kind of rang home with families and real people. Right, and tonight it's JD Vance who will be center stage, quite literally. The theme of the evening is make America strong once again. Last night was make America safe once again. So it's a message of strength coming from the party today. Well, they were on fire last night and I would imagine they'll do the same thing again tonight. Speaking of JD Vance, I mentioned that I watched Hillbilly Elegy, the Netflix special and his memoirs brought to life by Ron Howard. Have you seen that movie, Roy? I have not.
