Joining us now, Pastor Paul Begley to talk about unity. And what a big word that is. What a good word that is. But is it really feasible? Paul, welcome in. Thanks for being with me. Good morning. It's great to be with you. Well, I'll tell you. Big, big word. Big word. No doubt in looking at this from the angle of a pastor. You know, I think if we put aside some of the vile hatred we have when it comes to being so politically charged these days, and this nation is, and I've never seen it so polarized before in my life until I would say the last 12 years maybe. But this year, wow, and with what we saw over the weekend, the culmination of hate speech and social media and people acting out as violently as what we saw with the assassination of the attempt on Donald Trump. Unity sounds good, but can we get there? Let's talk about what actually got us to where we are first. Well, yeah, what got us there was an absolute hostile political environment that we've been witnessing this entire year. And when you think about it, and actually longer than this year, but it's been building, building, building. I think what we've seen really is a desperation to try to remove, to keep Donald Trump from ever winning back to presidency, through all the law fair, through all the hatred on the social media sites and especially your mainstream cable news television networks. And but still, how did this young man get on that roof? How did nobody see him except the people in the crowd? How in the world does he get within 130 yards with a high powered rifle and scope? So this thing is ugly as it gets, but there's still hope because I think that the hand of God prevented the worst catastrophe this nation could ever have. Amen. I agree with that. Absolutely divine intervention in this situation here. I mean, had he not turned his head a second earlier, you know, could have been devastating. It'd be a whole different discussion this morning. But you know, when you talk about unity and bringing people together, it's kind of difficult right now where the rubber hits the road. I mean, the Democrats, the MSNBC's of the world, I mean, there's still a lot of hate for Donald Trump and you still see it on social media coming out of the mouths of these reporters and pundits that are on the left. You know, they still want to, you know, their pro, you know, abortion to extent that I've never seen before, I mean, the whole wave of, you know, kids can be any gender they want and pediatricians can go ahead and give them, you know, hormone blockers and men in sports. I mean, just the family structures under attack. I mean, there's a lot of things underlying in this country that are still there and I don't think it can go away, you know, overnight and in a week. No, you're right. It won't go away that quick, no way or ever, maybe. When we say unity, we're not saying unifying or compromising our core values and our biblical principles. What we're saying and what I'm thinking is we have a situation we've never been this divided maybe since the Civil War, the passion has risen to a point of a boiling point. But what we can do is recognize and I believe there's at least 15% of the country who's been kind of in the middle and don't know which way they want to go have come to this this epiphany that hey, wait a minute, shooting each other. This is an American. We've got to stop for a second and who is the culture of death and which culture is the culture of life and when people stop for a moment and think this through, I believe there's enough 15% or more are going to shift to reasonable thinking to the adults in the room that say this is not American, we're destroying our own nation and we've got to unify with the right to and that will give the majority and that's how we'll unify. But I'm here to say right now, the culture of death will never unify with the culture of life. The darkness will never come to the light unless they come to a personal change. I'm honest with you, it takes a change to Jesus Christ to really turn lives around. Amen. The unity with the people that are undecided. We really need to unify with them and help lead the nation and I think Donald Trump is ready for it. Matter of fact, he's a different man, he'll never be the same. He's a great man before he ever got shot at. He'll be an unbelievably different approach and but he'll never change the values of what it takes to make America great again. You know, it's just having this conversation with a friend yesterday about opinions and everybody's got them these days. It seems especially in the political arena and opinions in every aspect of our lives. And you know, when it comes to opinions, people like you as pastors or coaches that, you know, people love parents, friends, teachers, people that are really supposed to be and are perceived by a lot of us as good people in our lives and want to give us opinions to be, you know, good for us, but the only opinion that really matters is God's opinion. And when it comes down to discussions, you know, at some point you've got to say, okay, great. Nice table of six here, everybody weighed in. But now let's go see what God's word has to say on this subject matter. And I'm telling you, I believe that anything in the Bible is God's word and I also believe that any issue in our lives can be addressed by looking into Scripture. Just Google it. It's that easy. What does Scripture say about XYZ and see what God's opinion is on it? You're right. Dark and light will never come together unless people get rid of the dark and ask Christ to take care of their lives, take charge of their lives. I don't have the answers. I'm sick and tired of being sick and tired. I want a different direction. And if you're a non-believer, if you're on the fence about it, just say, God, I keep hearing about you, you know, if you're real, show up. And I believe that that's all it takes and he will. Amen. Amen to that. You know, I just came out with a brand new book called Revelation 9/11 and in this book, we did this. We, we, we exposed the wall culture. We exposed the anti-American movement, the anti-Israel movement, the, you know, the, the hatred, the depth culture of abortion. We addressed all of this in this book and tying it to biblical prophecy and to present day rhetoric that we see on the news and everywhere else out there. And then as the book continues and it's very deep, it gets into the secret societies. We talk about a lot of these things that some people call conspiracy theories. But now, now all of a sudden they realize, well, I guess there is Kim Trails. I didn't know that. And then all of a sudden we bring people to this point in the book. And that is, wait a minute, what is the truth? Yeah. And how do I find the truth? And what can we do? And I really believe that we're on the brink of the greatest revival in the history of America. And it started, I think, believe it or not, Black Saturday night. Blood was shed, blood was shed and the whole world saw it and, and there's a lot of people wondering who the world set this up or how the world has happened. But the main point is folks started giving God credit. This is unbelievable. But not just Christians, people who don't even believe people who don't know where they stand. Everyone says, wait a minute. You can't miss from there. This is a layup, John. This is a layup. Okay. It's a two foot putt. You can't miss this. But God's hand, everyone recognizes it and that starts the revival movement. I totally agree with you. Totally agree with you. Patrick Paul Begley, thank you so much for your insight this morning.
