Joining us now from Washington, D.C. is Ryan Schmels on this very topic. So Ryan, what's the latest? What's up? Say it one more time. I'm saying, what is the latest with the Democrat Party, the drum beat is getting ever louder for President Biden to maybe hand over the reins to Kamala or someone else? All right. So, yes. So I think the latest thing that we have here at Fox is that Senator Mark Warner was initially planning a meeting that was first admitted today with House Democrats. They never officially, or Senate Democrats, I should say, they never officially scheduled it. And after weeks, a reporting came out about the meeting, they decided to scrap it and instead have it Tuesday tomorrow after weekly policy luncheons. So definitely the discussions are happening, and apparently there was also one with House Democrats last night, a conference call related to that where a number of prominent Democrats spoke up about their concerns with President Biden's candidacy. So the calls are definitely there. They're growing. I would still say the majority of the party is backing President Biden, but will that change this week? I think it's a big question, John. Is there a consensus as to what those who are asking him to step away what they're wanting? Are they wanting, for example, Vice President Kamala Harris to be the person? Or do they want to Gavin Newsom, somebody else? The only name we've seen floated around is Vice President Harris. We saw Tim Ryan, the former congressman from Ohio, come out and say that he would like to see VP Harris take over as the party nominee. Adam Frisch, who is a congressman from, or not a congressman, he's running for Congress in Colorado. He actually came very close to unceding Lauren Boberd last election cycle. He has said that he would like for a competitive primary process, whether that's at the convention or it's somewhere else, it remains to be seen, but at the same time, that's one of the things that we're hearing. We've seen where South Carolina Democratic Representative James Clyburn has pretty much said that if it's not going to be Joe, he's riding with Biden, but if he's not going to be Joe, it's going to be Kamala. If you remember, was the one who swung the election too last time around? He certainly was a huge factor in President Biden winning the nomination. He endorsed him in South Carolina, his endorsement carries a long wait, or a major heavy wait with South Carolina Democrats. Yes, he has said that he would endorse Vice President Harris as a nominee. Now of course, a lot of times when they say this, they're asked a direct question of what would you support Vice President Harris, and a lot of times that person is just answering the question directly. They're not saying whether or not they would want a primary process because a lot of folks who are being asked this question and giving it honest dance rights like that are still people who say or are not calling on President Biden to step aside, and they're still supporting it. So it does make sense to see Harris as the obvious choice, just to the fact that she's the Vice President. There's some legal aspects here where she would easily be able to inherit the campaign fundraising money that is set aside for President Biden because she's already on the ticket, whereas if somebody else were to take over, it'd be a lot more of a complicated process. But you know, we still have President Biden's the nominee, and he has said he's not going to step aside. And not to forget, Ryan, that she also checks a few boxes that Democrats very much like to check when we're talking about identity politics. Ryan Schmels from Fox News in Washington, D.C., thank you so much for joining us. 5280 exteriors James Hardy citing is a low-maintenance citing made primarily of cement that resist flame spread and repels woodborne insects and woodpeckers.
