Alabama's Morning News. I'm J.T. Congressman Gary Palmer joins us now. Gary, I'm sure you watched last night like most of America. And I think my first reaction was the first time Joe Biden opened his mouth. The whole country went and then it was worse and got, you know, just terribly worse from there on. Your thoughts last night? Well, part of my concern was, and we had already started hearing this, was that this was a setup on the Democrats part so that they can remove him from the ticket. And I think they're already working on that right now. I think that's exactly why they scheduled the debate before the Democratic Convention in August or September. I think that's when they're having it because they knew that this moment was going to come. And now they're going to be able to go into the convention with their super delegates and replacing. Yeah, the response last night after the debate, even from Democrats and the liberal news media was, oh my gosh, we've got to do something here. Panic set in everywhere. And everybody's talking about removing Joe Biden. But the big question is, who? Yeah, I tried to watch as many of the different stations commentary on it. Yes. And it was almost comedy, in some cases, them trying to make out like Joe Biden won the debate. But do you remember Chris Matthews? Oh, yeah. Chris Matthews was, he was just beside himself. He was so upset. And he was almost demanding that the Democrats replace him now, not wait till the convention. And for whatever you think Chris Matthews, I think that that was one of the most honest assessments that I saw from anybody is that the guy is not only not capable of running for president for serving for another four years, I'm not sure he's competent to fill out the remainder of his charm. No, we're in trouble around the globe right now. We're in trouble at our border. And there's, you know, a major dumpster fire happening in a lot of cities around this country because of his policies. And when he can't even finish the sentence on stage last night, it had everything to do with Joe Biden's inability to speak, comprehend, articulate. And if you put him in a situation where he's got to be woken up at four o'clock in the morning, we have a major issue, Mr. President happening with our nation right now. We need you in the situation room to be able to get up, get to that situation room and carry on an intelligent United States presidential conversation with anybody on his team about what's next. There's no way that that happens. No way. One of the moments that I think really stuck out and I thought Trump did a good job being disciplined and focused on the issues. But there was one question where about the border where Biden just he really fumbled and then right at the end, it was just, it was like mumbling and Trump didn't attack it. It was more a look of concern on Trump's face when he said, I'm not sure. I don't think I understood what he said there then. I'm not sure he understood it either. Yeah. That was almost like Trump was an American citizen of serving this, not as a competitor, because it was so shocking that the guy messed up the answer so badly to begin with. But it was almost a mumble at the end that it was incoherent. You know, whoever, whoever decided at CNN to do the split screen of both of them on camera every time probably needs to rethink that because you saw you're exactly right. The facial expressions from Donald Trump said a thousand words. Every time Joe got into a crazy situation, he couldn't spit things out or he was just off track. You look at Trump's face and it's exactly what America's thinking. Oh my gosh, this guy is not capable of running our country. Yeah, it wasn't Trump, the bulldog on a tack. It was more like exactly what you just said. I can't believe I'm hearing what I'm hearing. And then for him to say that on his, during his presidency, they haven't lost a single American soldier born in front of the families of the 13 soldiers who were killed in Afghanistan, which if history is honest, it's going to go down as one of the worst decisions ever made by presidential administration in the history of the country, giving up the basins by Grum and moving everything to Kabul and putting our soldiers in danger like he did. It's amazing to me that there's so many people out there that still think that Joe Biden should be present. But here's the other thing that I really think it's got to be emphasized. I'm going to talk to some of the Trump team about this. It's really not Joe Biden. That's what should be evident to everybody from last night, JT, is Joe Biden is really not the guy making these decisions. He's not capable. So you replace Joe Biden. You're not going to change the policies that are devastating American families all over the country. Well, Gary, you're 100% right. And no matter who they put in there, it's going to move in the same democratic direction with policies. The question is, who will it be? Kamala Harris, I don't believe is the one. Gavin Newsom, I don't think he wants to do it right now, the time he's off. Michelle Obama is the only one that makes sense to me because she brings Barack in. And if you can get Barack in the White House and the Democratic base sees that we're getting Barack and Michelle back into the White House, let's go. He's running the show now. Why not get him in the White House and let him be closer to the show to run it from there? That's why it's so important that people understand that what they saw last night is a very clear demonstration that Joe Biden is not the president in the sense of he's not the one setting the policy agenda. This is the third term of Barack Obama. Absolutely. And if they put Michelle on the ticket, then the American people need to clearly understand that what they've had to endure for the last three and a half months with the incredible increase in the price of groceries being forced into energy transition that is costing them more than they can afford. Their medicine is too expensive. The borders wide open. These are Barack Obama's policies, not Joe Biden's policies. So why in the world would they want Michelle on the ticket? And I think you're going to see some jockeying from Whitmer, the governor of Michigan. I think maybe even Hochl from New York, and Newsom was there. He in the post-debate press conference, he was there with Warnock, the senator from Georgia and others in the background. He's there. Make it clear that he was seen. And I think he's positioning himself. Well, Gary, I appreciate your time this morning. Thank you so much.
